SO sick of seeing takes that are like, “why isn’t Liz going after Bernie?  Herp derp she wants to be his VP!”

No, she probably doesn’t want to be anyone’s VP.

What she is trying to get avoid is raising the ire of his agitated angry mob, knowing going into this debate that everyone else will be going after Bernie, and if she pulls back, they might give her a reprieve from hurling snake emojis at her and she can remain ideologically consistent by hurling attack after attack at Bloomberg, slaying him dead with his own blood, because corrupt billionaires make her warm to her KILL BLOOD SHOT

the crowd literally gasping when she called him out for donating to LInsdey Graham was just... FATALITY!

So she gets to have a ball destroying the hell out of Bloomberg, everyone else gets to fight Bernie, no one is attacking Liz except for the random shot from Amy which doesn’t land hard.  Liz has been fundraising like hell and rising in national polling off of her “eviscerate Bloomie” strategy.  So it doesn’t serve her to attack

and furthermore, why is it Elizabeth’s responsibility to take out Sanders?  The one time she spoke up for herself everyone treated her like a liar?  Why isn’t the responsibility of everything competing candidate?  Their bases are not competing for each other but could theoretically be compatible, IF she can keep the delicate balance of not angering the less indoctrinated Sanders voters.

So these people are confused by 1) ideological consistency from Warren in her disdain for a nasty billionaire and 2) that it’s not Liz’s job alone to end Sanders, stop putting it all the woman who seems most competent just because that seems easier than forcing Tom Steyer to figure it out.  Mayor Pete and Joe Biden did pretty well tonight tbh, Liz didn’t need the help.

anyway another debate that was an all the way hot mess, shoutout to the moment when Steyer was about to go Super Saiyan, holy shit, when Biden called him out on owning a private prison?  He was hulking and had the crazy eyes and pacing like I thought dude was gonna lose his mind.  rich men are so fucking weird!!
