So I found a Na’vi vocabulary Memrise course today (here if anyone wants it). Up until now I haven’t done a whole lot of sitting down and studying vocab lists; I tried a little bit early on but the one I was using at the time was overwhelming and the layout of the site it was hosted on was confusing so I didn’t wind up getting very far. 

Most of the vocabulary I know now is stuff I’ve just picked up on after using it repeatedly (with a dictionary at first but then less and less). That said, I’ve only really learned stuff that’s relevant to whatever I try to write, and I feel like I need to improve that so I decided to give the Memrise course a try.

This course has 500 words in it. So far I’ve gone through the first 100...and was pleasantly surprised by just how many I already knew! I was able to confidently skip 87 of them, and most of the last 13 were ones that I was familiar with but felt the need to practice anyways because I’ve either used them less frequently, or because I tend to mix them up with others. There were only maybe 4 or 5 words that were completely new to me.

Granted, the words are supposed to get less and less common the further into the list you get, so I’m sure there will be plenty of tricky words that I don’t know and need to study as the course continues. But still, it was a bit of a confidence boost to realize how many I’ve already learned just from trying to use the language! Obviously I still have a loooong way to go but still ^^

I've been a tumblerina for a while now. Since 11? Then in college I moved to an RP blog, with my main, and a LarryStylinson blog. Had that until mid2013 when Lance and I went to a different South Park RP, along with my main &Larry. Once we broke into Indie RP I created a few more South Park RP blogs, then once Lance passed I slowly stopped using the RP account we associated with each other. Made my HP RP in 2014 after SP shit was getting too cliquey, then just kind of sidebloged all my blogs from there for being lazy. Reattempts at SP RP had attempts, but nothing beats 2013 so -shrug- Nothing will ever beat 2012-13 where the community was there, Gallaclub is the only thing coming close <3

what clothing style do you love but don't feel compelled to replicate yourself? Super dressy maybe? I do my best to wear whatever the fuck I want but I'm just, suits and shit aren't gonna be a thing I think. Except like, my wedding if that were to happen.

Like ART ART? I like Van Gouh's starry night. My mom went to the interactive exhibit and I love that. (She's also got some starry night socks and stuff. Plus she had a shirt with a van on it that said van go.) I also like Andy Warhol's stuff? Also love seeing greek statues but forever anxious I'm gonna be a clumsy spacerock and knock them over.

do you have a water bottle? what does it look like?

I've got a cup i bring to work that's Disney 100 and it changes color from blue to purple in the cold. It usually has mountain dew in it. Also I have a REAL waterbottle and its got Shibas on it and counts the level of water to 2 liters. But I hoard cups, always getting souvieneer cups bc im that person.

Found family is a quiet fav, and sometimes fluff. But mostly I want angst, I want plot.

So I carry a bag for work, which has headphones, wallet, work badge, phone, some tangles, squishy giraffe, pens, 2 books: one notebook thing and Heartstopper Volume 4 is in it, and random junk that really needs to be removed lol. Outside of work I just wallet phone the end.

Hmmm maybe Lip? Or Carl would be funny too, but the Lip and Mickey enemes would be funny.

🍕 - What is their favorite food?

Despite not always being able to afford it, Jade's always had something of a sweet tooth. She loves fruits and things fruits are baked in.

Also because I'm mean, she has a mild allergy to dates... but still loves stuffing her face with date cakes even though she swiftly regrets it minutes later. The allergy isn't severe, it just causes some slight swelling in the throat and itchiness. But dates are just so. fucking. good.

🧊 - Is their current design the first one?

Hardly! Though some have changed and others have stayed the same: Her first original design was more of a half-elf rogue in a D&D setting, and she's always had long black hair + ridiculously long ponytail (i.e. these old sketches - but I'm so sorry, they are literally over a decade old and they suck).

Her "modern itineration" was more goth-esque in terms of how she dressed, and being blind in one eye ended up being another common theme with her character design that differed from her original tabletop version. The scarf and spade tattoo was also more added (i.e. here and in this shitty old art of mine that I'm remiss to share but THERE YOU GO, lol). FYI, yes, her look was very much inspired by Death from The Sandman comics.

In Enderal, with the wonders of mods, I ended up being able to keep some of her old designs (the blind eye - even if it's on the other side of her face now because I forgot during the Character Creation stage, derp - the hair, the body scars, etc). Though finding decent lore-friendly "goth" looking clothes in the game was more difficult, even with mods involved... so I ended up having to be more flexible in what she wore and just chose whatever looked good on her.

Either way, I'm pretty happy with her current look and so is she!

❤️ - What is one of your OC’s best memories?

Well, one of her best memories was mentioned in that ye olde Character Ask I did some time ago, but she has others so I'll do one of those instead!

A particularly happier memory from her later years would probably involve her years after escaping her slave master, traveling with a Kiléan couple who she had both developed romantic feelings for. I've got a bunch of stuff written about them in notes, but Azra was the one Jade was closest to at first, as she was one of the first people Jade had ever opened up to about her past, mental health struggles, and her troubled sleep habits. Azra was just more understanding than she expected and, as a traveling alchemist, was able to provide medicinal remedies to help soothe her nerves. Eventually, they had a nice romantic moment by the campfire where they talked for hours before their relationship became more intimate. 🙃

I've had a lot of Azra feelings since I created her, lol. Maybe I'll ramble about her and her boy toy someday since for now they just live in a pile of notes.

Trollface dzisiaj, na początku 2024 roku, ma 16 lat. W Internecie to chora, niewyobrażalna ilość czasu i trollface nie jest czymś, czym był na początku. Dzisiaj jest zakurzonym, rzuconym w kąt reliktem przeszłości, który jest nawet za stary żeby znalazł swoją ironiczną czy nawet postironiczną niszę.
