PENELOPE GARCIA (criminal minds | ᴄʀɪᴍɪɴᴀʟ ᴍɪɴᴅs: ᴇᴠᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ)

“As Always” (Penelope Garcia x Fem!Reader)
| You reassure Penelope about her choice in outfit for y’all’s group night out (that’s really a double date) after she gets a little too in her own head about her appearance. As far as you’re concerned though she looks fine…very fine.
| SFW, getting ready, established relationship, the reader-insert is absolutely taken with Penelope (the feelings are mutual)

“Are you sure this’s okay? I really don’t want to be one of those women that shows up overdressed to an event on someone else’s big day,” she snaps her fingers, eyes widening behind her wide-rimmed cat-eye glasses, before her hands go back to smoothing nonexistent wrinkles from the skirt of her dress. “Like wearing white to someone else’s wedding— oh my god! Is there too much white on this dress? Do I look like some hack attending a wedding who’s wearing white out of pettiness?”
At the rush of her words you don’t even bat an eye, raising a single brow at the other woman.
“Penelope, Sweet Girl, it’s just the club.”
“Yes, but it’s also Derek and Savannah’s first night away from baby Hank. I don’t want to make it weird by showing up dressed too sexily.”
Penelope wasn’t wrong per say. Savannah had bounced back crazy good after giving birth, only retaining baby fat in ‘all the right places’ according to Derek’s forward ass, but she’d still undeniably transitioned to dressing more like a “mother” than she used to.
Only slim fitting pencil skirts and the occasional maxi length dress for y’all’s girl now.
Where you’re sitting on the edge of the bed in Penelope’s room, and watching her check herself out in the mirror, you don’t stop yourself from running your eyes up and down her body in response to what she’s said.
She’s staring at you when your eyes travel back upwards and her reflection meets your gaze in the mirror.
You grin, throwing her a wink.
“Mm, that’ll be impossible to help. You always look sexy.”
In real time you watch the tips of her ears shift from their usual pale to blush pink to the most poignant of reds.
Penelope laughs and waves you off with a little snort and a, “Stop it.”
“No thank you,” you respond cheekily, pushing yourself to your feet so you can walk over to her.
Once you’re standing directly behind her and you’re able to run your hands down her arms you rest your chin over her shoulder.
Lashes fluttering, she gives you this tender little smile and leans into your hold. You squeeze her wrists then rub your hands up and down her forearms.
In her kitten heels, bright colored corset, and short skater dress and matching jewelry she looks to die for.
You press a kiss to her cheek. You’d happily give a hundred peoples lives to keep that smile on her face. Not that you’d ever tell her that, obviously.
“Now stop worrying. You’ll get nothing but compliments about how cute you are right now from our friends, and you know it.”
She huffs, blonde curls bouncing with her movement and briefly obscuring your sight. You chuckle through the curtain of golden strands before delicately brushing her hair back over her shoulder and pressing yourself even more securely to her back.
“But—”
“Uh uh,” you click your tongue, “Unless you have a legitimate concern then there are no ‘buts’ here, Penny Poo.”
She pouts.
“You suck when you’re right.”
Nodding, you let go of her arms to circle your arms around her waist with a brief squeeze.
“Oh, I know,” you coo and blow a raspberry into her shoulder. “It’s a curse.”
“It’s hot is what it is.”
For a second you're helpless but to choke on your spit, you’ve sucked in such a sharp breath.
“Jesus, fuck, Penelope,” you cough, eyes watering, and back away from her so you can hack into your fist.
Her evil laughter meets your ears just as you’ve cleared your throat and then her soft hands are on you.
She rubs at your back until you're good and meets your eyes the moment you’ve straightened.
“Oh ho no, My Lovely Stunning Woman, you are not getting out of this now. Let me make you swoon like you make me everyday.”
Though it doesn’t show against your darker skin, you flush. “Right?”
“Hell yeah.” She grins then moves her hands so she can cup your face between them both, light hands ever gentle against the dewy brown of your skin. You shiver, blinking at her through your lashes in wonder. “You gonna let me kiss you, Honey?”
“I’d be crazy not to.”
“Yes,” she laughs, “yes you would be.” Then her lips are on yours and every ounce of the world around you that’s not solely narrowed in on your partner falls away.
NOTES: Hope you enjoyed!!!
I figured I’d add to the Pen x Reader cache on here because, why not, I love Penelope’s character. We’ll see how much traction this gets because I can’t even guess.

Thinking about girls night with Savannah while the teams busy and you’re both slightly drunk and she’s like: “you know what sucks? Coming home horny and they’re away on a case for god knows how long and you either wait and you’re not that desperately horny when they come back or you handle it yourself and it’s boring and it sucks.”
“tell me about it,” you scoff. “But… I mean, I kinda worked away around that sexual frustration a while ago.”
“How?” Savannah asks, smirk growing on her face. “Come on, you have you tell me?”
“I got Aaron a clone a willy kit… we made a mold of his cock and I use it when he’s gone,” you explain, only the slightest bit embarrassed.
“And where would I get one of these?” She asks, pulling out her phone.
“Amazon, Spencer’s… any sex shop really,” you explain. “Just… um, remember to have him trim down there before you stick it in the mold cause it ends up being like a waxing session if you don’t.”
Cut to you both scream laughing while you explain the story of how you had to rip the plaster off him and how he screamed like a little girl but at least now you have a perfect silicone mold of the best dick you’ve ever had in your life.

hello bae idk if ur taking requests rn but whenever u are could you potentially do a spencer reid x curvy reader ?? just a true baddie and no one thinks spencer can handle all of her? i love this trope and am happy with whatever you do with it!
“You’re not being nice to me.” Spencer says as you slip into a pair of low rise jeans.
Your skin glistens, the glitter lotion you’d applied making you look that much more like a goddess.
You’re meeting Spencer’s friends from work for drinks tonight and you’d just gotten the most perfect top to make your outfit delectable.
“I’m being very nice to you, Spencer.” You slip into the top that stops just over your navel, your newest piercing out on display making Spencer swallow hard.
He’s not a prude, not your Spencer, but seeing your belly button adorned with a dangly silver dragonfly and in display fills him with an almost animalistic need to keep you in bed with him for the rest of the night.
“How do you figure?” He asks, reaching for you and smoothing his hands down your sides. You smell like burnt sugar and marshmallows. Spencer’s nose brushes yours, as he waits for your answer.
“Because I look like a peach and I’m gonna make the best impression on your friends ever.” You squeal when Spencer squeezes your bum and then captures your lips.
When you meet his friends, Spencer can tell you’re not what they were expecting. You look like a seductress- hair pinned up with pieces falling out, pretty dangly earrings to match the rest of your jewellery, your voice a siren’s call and you’re incredibly cheery.
“How does pretty boy keep up with you?” Derek asks, a smile playing on his lips as you look to Spencer who’s deep in conversation with Penelope over some new nerd game.
“Honestly, I don’t know how I keep up with him.” Derek laughs, shaking his head as he drains his drink.
Emily chimes in next, “Never thought Spencer would man up to ask you out.”
Your eyebrows knit, “What do you mean?”
She smiles, a little evilly- like a sister does when they have all the information on their brother. “Spencer’s pined after you for about three months before he said, ‘I finally did it.’”
Your boyfriend tunes into the conversation then, cheeks scarlett as you turn to him.
“You work at the courthouse right?” Emily asks and you nod.
“Spencer was always gushing about the pretty lawyer and how he wanted to ask you out but didn’t have the-“
He cuts her off with a hand over her mouth. “Emily.”
She laughs behind his hand, shrugging which only makes Spencer’s blush worsen.
Penelope shrieks and everyone turns to look at her. “You’re like Vanessa!” She says it like you’re all meant to catch on immediately; when you don’t she rolls her eyes.
“From the Little Mermaid! You look like a siren.” You smile, a barely there blush flushing over you in the dark bar.
“Your trouble is what you are.” Spencer mutters, no one but you hearing him making you smirk.
“Thank you Penelope! Though I have to be honest, this is just my going out get up- I’m much more slouchy at home.”
Spencer rolls his eyes, he doesn’t think you understand how incredibly attractive you are regardless of what you’re wearing.
You lean on Spencer’s shoulder as your drink comes to the table, a sip of Long Island Iced Tea and you’re turning to JJ.
“What’s it like working with Spencer?”
His hand falls to the small of your back as you listen with rapt attention to his friends’ every word.
Spencer can’t tear his eyes away from you and that’s all Derek needs to know as he shoots a message to Savannah to send him the number of the jeweler who made their rings.

The Bet | Aaron Hotchner
Synopsis: The team bets Aaron that he won't be able to find himself a date for Dave's annual summer barbecue. Little do they know, he's already got his eye on you.
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x F!BAU!Reader
Warnings: Fluff, Hotch being perfect
Tumblr media
It's half past ten, the smell of paper and brewing coffee permeates through the bullpen, and your eyes were narrowed at the small little circle surrounding Emily's desk.
"Okay, I'll bite. What are we talking about?" You finally lean over to ask, rolling your eyes fondly when Derek flashes a mischievous grin at you. He had been giving you numerous glances over the past ten minutes to try and draw your attention, possessing the giddiness and subtly of a puppy.
"Rossi's barbecue is next week." Emily muses, a bright glint in her eyes.
You nod slowly and cautiously, not sure what you were walking into. "Right..." you drag the word out a bit. "And? What are you planning? You only have that kind of smile when you're up to something, Em."
"Well, Rossi's making plus one's mandatory this year." Derek says with a sly grin, crossing his arms as he leans back against Emily's desk.
You raise your eyebrows and glance to Spencer. "Oh? And we're all in agreement with this new rule?"
"I believe Rossi's exact words were 'you people need to get out more,' so..." Emily laughs softly, shrugging as if his words had become law.
Spencer frowns a little and nods. "He also said that it would be good to bring someone we actually like and know because 'a man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man.'"
"Did Rossi really just quote the fucking Godfather at us." You deadpan and glance over to Emily who raises her hands up and shrugs again. "Okay, fine. Now I'm a bit scared to ask, but why are you guys laughing?"
Derek smiles brightly before answering with an amused tone. "Because this means Hotch has to bring a date too. Rossi's already made a bet with him that he won't be able to find a date, and we're all getting in on the action too. Losers owe a hundred each."
"Wow, Rossi's not wasting any time. So, what did you guys bet on?" You ask with a near unimpressed tone and raise an eyebrow.
Spencer glances between the three of you guys before giving you the Sparknotes version. "Well, the three of us are betting with Rossi. Penelope's still deciding, and we haven't gotten to JJ yet."
"Well, I'll bet you twenty that JJ decides to sit out on this. I mean, guys, please, are you all really convinced that Aaron Hotchner of all people can't score himself a date?" You raise your eyebrows, unimpressed by the wit of your three friends.
You have to refrain from speaking further, knowing it'd turn into a spiel of how attractive you thought your unit chief was. Plus, you weren't trying to deal with them profiling the HR nightmare-sized crush you harbored for Aaron.
"You're going against the grain, sweetheart?" Derek chuckles, lips tugged into an excited grin.
Emily shakes her head and interjects. "Okay, but there's no way he's going to be able to get a date before the party. He was hand delivered like two weeks worth of paperwork this morning."
"It's Hotch. He's full of surprises." You grin, glancing around the bustling bullpen. "And anyway, you guys already have dates?"
Derek clicks his tongue and nods with a pleased smirk. "Yep. You guys remember Savannah, right?"
"Oh yeah, I like her." Emily chimes in before groaning and leaning back in her chair. "Ugh, I don't know if my guy is going to be busy."
You shake your head and smile, teasing her with a sympathetic tone. "Well, if he has any sense, he'll drop whatever he's doing to come with you."
Emily flashes a grin at you, silently telling you that she'd talk to you later about outfit details. Spencer is lost in thought for a second before you see him frowning.
"Spence?" You ask slowly, tilting your head.
He hesitates for a moment before looking at the three of you. "Do you guys think Rossi will let me in without a date?"
"No." Rossi's voice suddenly rings out as he walks by, blowing on his steaming coffee to hide his grin as he beelines to his office.
Derek snickers and claps his hand over Spencer's shoulder. "There's your answer, kid."
Later that day, you're hunched over your desk and nursing your headache with a cup of tea as you read through some reports. Just as you were about to reread the paragraph you zoned out on, you hear your name being called.
Raising your head up and blinking away the blobs swimming across your vision, you see Aaron standing in front of his office door, hands on the railing as he eyes you. "My office."
Standing up slowly, you feel your muscles aching as you stretch a bit. When you've made your way into Aaron's office, you see him leaning back against his desk, arms crossed.
"Yes, sir?" You ask and slowly come to a stop in the middle of his office.
"You've heard about Dave's party next Saturday, yes?" He asks lowly, eyebrows drawn together.
Nodding in confusion, you wait for him to continue.
"And his terms for the night?"
"Uhm, yes, I have. Is this about the bet being made, sir?" You prod gently, wanting to know if he was trying to sleuth out who was betting what.
"Yes." He answers with an unyielding gaze, looking unsure of himself for a moment. "I was wondering if you had someone you were going to bring."
"Oh." You blush a little and smile smally. "No... A lot of us are still trying to find dates."
Aaron huffs in amusement and nods. "Yeah, Dave's really stepping on our necks this year."
"He just wants an excuse to cook more, I'm sure." You chuckle softly.
"It wouldn't be the first time..." He smiles before clearing his throat and straightening up again. "Well, I was wondering if you'd like to accompany me that evening as my plus one." He says, looking at you gently.
It feels like the wind is being knocked out of you as you stare at him owlishly. "Me?" You ask dumbly.
"Yes, it's okay if you would prefer not to though, I know this is very sudden." He reassures you.
Blinking rapidly, you see the slightest bit of pink creeping across his ears. "Oh, no, I would love to be your date for the party." You answer quickly, not wanting to let the opportunity slip through your fingers.
"Really?" He says with a bit of relief, the stress immediately dissipating from his face.
You nod and smile shyly, fiddling with your fingers. "Yes. I'm happy that you thought of me."
Aaron nods back and tries to compose himself a bit. "Of course... and I'm happy that you agreed."
Grinning softly at him, you chuckle a bit. "Well, I'll call you this weekend so we can settle the details, if that's okay..."
"That's perfect." He answers quickly, his eyes warm and filled with an indistinguishable emotion.
"Great! Well, I'll, uh, leave you to it then." You slowly back out of the room, shooting him a reassuring smile and fleeing back to your desk in disbelief.
When the night of Rossi's party finally turns up, you're anxiously pacing around your apartment, checking your outfit for the fifth time. Aaron had insisted on picking you up, ever the gentleman.
Time trickles by slowly, and when you finally hear a gentle knock on your door, you're practically flying toward it. Checking the peephole for a split second, you swing the door open and your eyes immediately dart down to the bouquet of roses in Aaron's hand.
"Oh!" You sputter out in shock, taking a moment to gather yourself. "Wow, they're beautiful. Thank you..." Blushing brightly, you smile as he hands you the bouquet.
"You look beautiful." He speaks gently, but his gaze is intense as he takes you in.
"Thank you. You look amazing..." It's clear that you're a bit flustered as you hurry to quickly put the roses in a vase, eyes continuing to flicker to his figure in your doorway.
He was in a black button up that hugged his arms and torso in ways that had you almost faceplanting with every step.
You're amazed that you manage to make it down to where his car is parked without your knees giving out as his hand ghosts over the small of your back the entire trek there.
He opens the passenger door for you and waits for you to get in before gently closing the door. It was driving you up the wall how gentle and warm he was being, and you almost wanted this to be a real date.
As he drives you both to Rossi's mansion, you speak softly to him, trying to ignore the way he steers with one hand on the wheel.
"Spencer texted me yesterday. He's bringing a girl he met at a coffee shop." You smile softly, meeting Aaron's gaze as he rolls to a stop at a red light.
"Really? That's good." He responds quietly, smiling fondly at the mention of Spencer.
"I know. He was worried about it all week, but I don't think he realizes how many women are attracted to him." You chuckle softly, nodding subtly toward the windshield as the stoplight turns green.
Aaron nods and grows quiet. A few minutes of silence pass before he speaks up, voice laden with nerves. "I'm grateful that Dave made the bet."
"Really?" You respond in surprise, wondering if it was because he was going to be a couple hundred dollars richer by the end of the night.
"Yes because it gave me the push I needed to finally ask you out."
Your lips part a bit at his words, butterflies swinging around your stomach and buzzing to the tips of your fingers. "Aaron?"
"I don't want tonight to continue with the pretense that I only asked you out to win the bet." His voice is mellow and growing more confident by the syllable, eyes occasionally flitting to yours as he drives on the highway. "I've admired you for a long time as an agent and a friend... and it didn't take long for that to turn into something more for me."
"Why are you telling me this now?" You muster up the courage to ask, leaning a bit closer to the center console between your seats.
"Because I realized these feelings were only growing everyday I saw you. Even if it's selfish, I want to be honest with you." He braves another glance at you.
You let out a heavy breath full of relief as you smile brightly at him, the setting sun casting a glowing pool of pinks and oranges across your beaming face. "I like you too, Aaron. I have for a long time as well."
Aaron's free hand reaches for your hand, and you happily let him tangle his fingers with yours. It was clear that nothing more needed to be said between you both, the connection between your hearts growing stronger with every ounce of relief and adrenaline that filled you both.
The feeling of his calloused hand in yours keeps a buzzing warmth coursing through your body for the rest of the drive.
When you pull up to Rossi's opulent house, neither of you notice the curtains of the window by the front door moving as your team take turns peeking outside when they realize Aaron's car has arrived.
Aaron walks with you to the front door with his arm around your waist, a bright glint in his gaze as he's radiating unadulterated joy.
Neither of you even pretend to be sheepish when the door swings open and Penelope's squeals meet your ears, everyone piecing together the puzzle when they see Aaron holding you close.
"We were starting to think you both got lost." Rossi's voice rings out as he chuckles and beckons you both in, looking at Aaron with an impressed smirk.
"Thanks for having us, Dave." Aaron grins, squeezing your waist before loosening his hold to let Penelope tackle you in a hug, Emily and JJ's enthusiastic questions not far behind.
"When did that happen?" Emily gapes, excitedly poking your side and raising her eyebrows.
You hug JJ and answer her from over JJ's shoulder. "The day you all made the bet. I told you guys that Aaron's full of surprises."
"Remind me to never bet against you in the future. Well, someone get Derek over here." Emily shakes her head in disbelief as you all slowly migrate toward the kitchen.
Aaron's hand finds yours again as you triumphantly smile, "Oh right, I hope you all brought your wallets! It's time to pay up."
"My man!" Derek's voice echoes around the house as he emerges from the wine cellar, beaming at Aaron. "Where's your date?" He asks, clearly unaware of the proximity between you and Aaron.
Aaron holds up your joined hands and chuckles. "I think this means I win?"
Morgan nearly drops the bottle of wine in his grip as he swivels his head for a double take at you both.
Rossi leaps toward Morgan, arms extended forward as panic seeps into his eyes. "Careful! That's 1860 Madeira!"
Morgan groans and lets Rossi wrestle the bottle from his grip. "Will you ever let us win at something, man?"
Aaron's chest rumbles with a chuckle as he rubs your knuckles with his thumb and shakes his head in amusement. "Not a chance."

Bambi (Spencer Reid x reader)
summary: You joined the BAU to prepare for an upcoming role, but your time with the team gives you a new career path and a new lover.
note: It's short, but that's how far I wanted to take this now. Takes place before 11x01.
Tumblr media
“Special Agent Bambi stole my coffee 😩”
This is a message meant for your best friend, but Derek sadly leans over your shoulder just in time to catch it. You only notice when you hear his laughter in your ear, and soon you see him sitting on the edge of the desk in front of you. “I saw Spencer with a cup of coffee that had your name on it. Oh, if only someone told him you called him Bambi,” he says with a teasing grin.
Mortified, you open your mouth to protest, or rather to beg him to keep this to himself, but no word leaves your throat. Maybe a deal could work, maybe you could offer something he wants, and considering he mentioned his girlfriend loves your work, that could be the key to your secret’s safety. So, with a sweet smile, you put your phone on the desk and fold your arms as you look at him.
Derek instinctively mirrors your movement, watching you with a slightly raised eyebrow. “I’ll take you and Savannah to a fancy restaurant on an evening that’s good for the both of you, and she can join me on the first days of shooting when we finally get there,” you offer.
“All of this to stop me from telling the kid?” When you nod, he lets out a thoughtful hum. “Damn it, you know that’s an offer I can’t turn down. I’ll keep your secret.”
“What secret?”
You see as the agent in front of you whistles quietly, then walks past you as if there was nothing to see. The question came from Penelope, who stands right next to the very man you’ve exchanged a few words about. At first, you open your mouth to respond, but then you realize there’s no way you could improvise without being busted by them. Telling part of the truth could be useful, though.
So, without much hesitation, you put an award-winning smile on your face and point in the direction where Derek went. “I invited Savannah to the set of the movie,” you explain. You quickly realize there has to be a continuation for this sentence, otherwise you would have to start explaining yourself. “I was thinking about a girls’ weekend if you’re in too.”
Penelope claps her hands in excitement as she looks at Spencer. “I might not even return to you,” she jokes with a wide smile. “It’s so exciting, of course I’m in!”
When she hugs you, you immediately become enveloped in that warm aura of hers, the one everyone on the team mentioned after you arrived. You’ve only been with the team for three weeks in preparation for a new role, but surprisingly, they all welcomed you kindly despite being short of a few people, and even among them, Penelope was the one who grew the closest to you in a matter of days.
While each and every one of them became important to you for a different reason, it’s Spencer you can’t quite place anywhere. He’s so different from the guys you are used to, and you can’t decide if this oddity is the reason why you don’t know what to think about him. A part of you thinks he’s an adorable dork, which brings out your protective side, while another believes he’s charming and handsome, the kind of guy you want to do certain things with behind closed doors.
You’re like a Victorian man when he sees a woman’s ankle, you can’t help yourself when he’s around. It’s hard to recall the last time you were so desperate for someone’s attention, maybe it was back in high school, but you’re not sure.
Behind her, Spencer takes a sip of coffee from the paper cup, and your eyes meet as you let go of Penelope and take a step back. He doesn’t say anything, and the silence is deafening, but you wait, secretly hoping he would change his mind and tell you something, even if it’s nothing more than some random fact about movies. But he remains silent, and eventually he moves to sit behind his desk without sparing you a second look.
Penelope also leaves, and since you don’t have paperwork to do like the others, you pull out the book that’s part of your curriculum and continue reading it, highlighting the pages where you find interesting details with a narrow post-it. It was Spencer and Dave who wrote you a list of books you could learn a lot from, and they both promised to talk with you about them once you finished reading them.
You have no idea how much time passed exactly, but your quiet reading session is interrupted by the announcement that there’s a new case and briefing starts now in the conference room. You pick up your phone and head after the rest of the team, sitting in the back as usual to be out of the way, but to your surprise, Spencer decides to sit next to you this time. When you turn to him with a surprised look, he flashes a smile at you, then takes another sip of the coffee cup with your name visible to you.
As most cases they work on, these were also gruesome murders, and the more details you hear, the harder you grip your thighs to bear it. But then you feel a hand cover yours, slowly but confidently lacing your fingers. You know whose hand it is, yet you don’t dare to look his way, you don’t feel like taking his attention away from the case that’s being presented. He joins the conversation every now and then, but whenever there’s a break, you can feel his eyes on you.
The team’s dismissed, and you’re heading to the plane that takes off half an hour later. The plane where Spencer once again opts to sit next to you, although this time he finally talks to you. “It gets better with time,” he notes quietly, flashing a small smile at you. You return it, but before you can say anything, he goes on. “I know that you were asking about joining the academy to become one of us.”
The surprised look you give him is followed by a groan. “Penelope?” you wonder, and he nods in response. “It’s just… I love acting, don’t get me wrong, but this would actually mean something, you know?”
“But are you ready to work on such cases every day?”
You lean your head back as you consider what to say to that. The idea of joining the FBI came to you a week ago, after you entered the rented apartment you stayed in following an emotionally tough case. At first, you briefly considered quitting this little crash-course before it could leave a permanent scar on you, but then you realized that at the end of the day, it was all about saving lives. And this made you wonder if there was anything acting helped you achieve aside from promoting good causes.
Preaching about the importance of fighting for the environment, or children’s rights didn’t mean people would actually do something too. But a job at the FBI? That would have results. You could put bad guys behind bars, even if it wouldn’t be so cheerful all the time. Considering you were in your late twenties, maybe you still had enough time to make such a big career change.
With a sigh, you turn your head to look at him. “You said it yourself, it gets better with time,” you reply, but a doubtful look crosses his face. “Look, I know it sounds crazy, but I want to see if I would be good enough,” you tell him.
Spencer turns in his seat, watching you with a barely visible smile at first. “You’ll need an intensive course,” he points out as he reaches out, once again lacing your fingers. “How about this? We meet outside of work and go through some old cases. I’ll teach you everything you need to know about profiling.”
“Are you sure? I’m sure you need your free time, I wouldn’t want you to–” But he doesn’t let you finish, instead he ignores the curious eyes watching the two of you and leans in to give you a soft kiss. “Oh,” you say when he pulls back.
“You don’t even notice how many times you stare at me, do you?” he asks with a teasing smile, his hand moving to your cheek. “And please, don’t call me Bambi behind my back.”
With wide eyes, you stand up and turn around to find a certain member of the team that’s gonna be kicked in the ass for sure. “Derek, god dammit!” you yell, but before you could go there to confront him, Spencer takes your hand and gently pulls you back into the seat. You flash an apologetic smile at him, then rest your head on his shoulder as you think about how things would be for the two of you now.
Maybe with him on your side, it will be easier to handle these cases.

SPENCER CAN’T BELIEVE THERE’S A PART OF HIM THAT ENJOYS SEEING YOU CRYING. It’s cruel. Sadistic, yet he can’t help it. The sight of you wailing, begging him for more, begging him to go harder, deeper gets him going.
Pounding you into the sheets, Spencer thinks he just died and entered heaven with how delicious your cunt has tightened. Your cries and moans are so loud, he’s certain he’s getting a noise complaint in the morning. His very first one, considering he’s rarely home and he’s a stickler for rules.
Plus, he never thought he had it in him to make a woman cry out in pleasure.
He’s not Morgan, who, when compared to him, is very experienced in that department. Derek always had a line of girls whenever the team went out for drinks until he met Savannah. Nowadays, Derek is a one-woman kind of guy.
Spencer is definitely unlike Rossi, who had a revolving door of spouses, no offense meant. Of course, Rossi knew a lot of things when it comes to women.
Spencer is not like Hotch, for certain. Hotch is a father, of course, he knows a thing or two about the many ways in the acts of sexual prowess.
So, when the night with you took a steamy turn, Spencer didn’t think he’d be able to bend you over the table, pound you into the mattress, and blow your back out in just one night. He thought it’d be done so soon but no.
You were insatiable.
You weren’t content with just simple foreplay and fucking him in one position. You were relentless and Spencer was eager to please you.
Spencer was eager to get lost in your body.
And now, Spencer has you on your back, legs folded toward your chest, as he fucked you into total submission. His strokes were so deep, he could feel his tip nudging your cervix. He knows you’ll be sore by the time the sun rises but he can’t help it. It feels so good to be buried deep inside you.
This might just be Spencer’s favorite position. He gets to pound you relentlessly. He has you at his mercy as he burrows into you rhythmically, entirely, while seeing your face wet with fresh tears as his sweat beads and trickles down to you.
He likes that he gets to see how much of a mess he has made when he looks down and sees himself entering your cunt, hearing the sloppiness and the sound of sloshing.
God, you were so wet. How is that possible? How could someone get that wet? Spencer knows the answer but he couldn’t bring himself to think too much about it when he has your body writhing under him.
“More, Spencer,” You sob as you fisted the sheets you laid on, writhing and moving your hips in time with Spencer’s. “P-please, baby. I’m so close. Shit, close, fuck!”
“You feel so good.” Spencer groans in response, punctuating each word with a deep thrust, causing you to whimper, slight drool rolling down the side of your lips. “Is that what you want?”
Too lost in the pleasure, your eyes roll so far back, your body moving to your own accord. You couldn’t hear what Spencer has just said. You couldn’t even begin to process a single syllable he has uttered. Not a single coherent thought going on inside that beautiful brain of yours.
Spencer, although exhilarated that he has reduced you to just a pile of gyrating flesh, does not like the lack of response at all. Grunting, he flips your body over which caused him to slip out in the process.
“No. No. No.” You whine pathetically, cunt trying to clamp down on him as you feel him slip out. You scratch whatever you could get your hands on in protest. The sheets. The pillows. Spencer. “Y-you’re m-me—shit—mean, Spence. P-please! Cum! I wanna cum! Please!”
“Mean?” Spencer glowers mid-thrust, gripping your hips hard enough to leave purple bruises you’ll be sporting for at least a week.
He’s being mean? Hasn’t he done everything you’ve asked for tonight? He has given in to all of your demands, prolonging your pleasure, and reducing you to tears, but he’s being mean?
“You want mean, princess?” Spencer asks as you sobbed, trying to get him to move but his hands hinder you from doing so. His cock deliciously pressed against that one spot inside of you. But it wasn’t enough. You want the entirety of him inside you. You want to be filled up to the brim. Your cunt molded to the shape of his cock. “I’ll show you mean.”
Maybe a part of Spencer has always been sadistic but seeing your tears, seeing you mindless in pleasure has awakened something sinister in him. And Spencer is nothing but a competitive, eager learner.
This might just be Spencer’s new favorite game. Pleasuring you until you become a boneless, mindless, and thrashing mess.
And he always gets what he wants.

Home Run Part 2 – Emily Prentiss x Fem!BAU!Reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: Smut, mommy kink, praise kink, mentions of alcohol
Set directly after Part 1, little bit shorter than the first one and the ending feels a little bit rushed but I wanted to get it written. Might eventually do a Part 3, leave any requests or prompts you have! Thank you for reading and enjoying!
18+MDNI
It puzzled you how quickly and easily Emily was able to shift from her sexually dominant side to… sitting down and eating dinner with her subordinates. You tried not to dwell on it too much, you couldn’t really, as the team scrutinized how you played during the game. Derek tried to play it off like you were a one hit wonder.
“Morgan, you shit head, it looks like you’re gonna eat your words again. Prentiss here said she was gonna be coming out to the games more so be prepared to be proved wrong,” you blew the paper of your straw at him.
He smiled sheepishly at you, “Fine, I’ll admit it. You swing a bat better than I do, but you’re just lucky the Bureau doesn’t have any other sports teams because I’d kick your ass.”
“I’m just glad he found someone else to play with, he’s not trying to make me go out there with him,” Reid sighed thankfully from beside you.
“Has the Doctor been holding out on me?” you asked jokingly as the team laughed at his remark. The group continued their celebrations, drinking and laughing as they ate. Everyone was too absorbed in the collective conversation to notice the subtle glances exchanged between you and your boss.
The dinner soon ended and everyone was about to part ways. Derek had asked you if you wanted him and Savannah to drive you back home, being he had picked you up before the game.
“Thanks, but no thanks Morgan. Prentiss offered to take me, and she’s nicer to me anyways,” you shoved him lightly, chuckling.
He threw his hands up defensively, “Suit yourself, All-Star. Don’t say I never did anything for ya.” He shook his head as he laughed, walking back towards his car.
“Damn, you’re good,” you heard from behind you, causing you to jump. You had almost forgotten Emily was standing right there, most definitely waiting to ruin the composure you were able to hold around the others. And probably enjoy it.
You turned on your heel, “What?” You were confused, something that was becoming frequent around the older woman. She pursed her lips, eyes studying you silently as you approached her. You tilted your head at her, waiting expectantly for her response.
“Let’s go,” she commanded, her eyes and head flicking towards her vehicle as she turned without another word. You stood stunned for a moment before following after her, watching the sway of her hips as you caught up to her.
“You’re bossy,” you grumbled moodily, even though you knew that was part of the reason you were so attracted to her. She knew it too by the cheeky smile that formed her features.
“Oh, sweetheart,” she said condescendingly, stopping in her tracks, her voice sharp and careful as if it was a warning to you. “Don’t get mouthy now. You’ve behaved so well, why d’you want to start acting up? Hmm?” You could feel the effect of her words heating up your face and your core, which you tried to hide from her by averting your gaze.
She laughed at you, her hand moving to the small of your back as she guided you gently to her car. The ride was mostly quiet as you wrestled with the feelings in your mind, trying to sort through your thoughts. Before you knew it you were at Emily’s brownstone.
You knew you were in for it as the sound of the door closing seemed to echo throughout, followed by Emily practically pouncing on you while pushing you against the door. Her lips crashed against yours as she pulled your body closer to her, hands resting tenderly on your waist. It seemed her mouth and hands were on different wavelengths, an assault of hot kisses and quick nips as she trailed along your jaw and neck. But her hands moved leisurely, precisely as she snaked them up your shirt, brushing your skin almost hesitantly as if prepared to still at the drop of a hat.
Her knee nudged between your legs but did little to relieve your throbbing core. Your hands grasped roughly at the tight denim fabric of her jeans, unable to grip her ass the way you wanted to be able to. You groaned indecently at the way her mouth glided across your skin, teeth pulling and releasing, leaving her mark on your flesh.
“Emily,” you whined as your fingers fumbled with her zipper, your earlier embarrassment shifting into shameless desperation. Her hands lifted your jersey above your head, falling back to your torso and leading you to her bedroom while discarding the rest of your clothes along the way. You had managed to pull her shirt off but she remained in her bra and unbuttoned pants.
Only Emily Prentiss can look sexy taking off skin tight blue jeans you thought to yourself as you watched them peel off her figure. Your stomach tightened at the sight of her exposed body, admiring the curve of her hips as she pulled you towards her. She whispered something in your ear, her breath raising goosebumps across your skin as her words went unheard.
You pulled her fingers down to your thighs with a whimper, your implicit way of asking her to touch you. She, however, was not letting you off that easily, chuckling at you as she trailed her fingers slowly back up your abdomen. There was no doubt she was enjoying her ability to reduce you to futile whimpers and whines, and you knew from the almost arrogant smirk on her lips that she would prolong her teasing as long as she could.
A breathy mumble of, “Please,” fell from your lips as your head dropped to her shoulder, pressing soft open mouth kisses against her collarbone. Her arms wrapped tightly around you, her hands rubbing against your shoulder blades until they met in the middle of your back.
She laid you delicately on the bed, her soft touches greatly contrasting the haste of your tongue she had felt earlier that night. It made you feel a little guilty that you had rushed through pleasuring her, but the thought was quickly pushed from your mind as Emily parted your lips with her fingers. Instinctively, you drew them into your mouth, sucking on them gently until she pulled them out.
Her fingers slipped into with ease, although she didn’t need to lubricate them. You were pretty sure there was a wet spot forming underneath you from the second she had laid you down. A gasp escaped your lips as a smirk fell on hers as she felt how wet you were, vulgar sounds filling the air as she lazily pumped her fingers inside of you.
“Barely have to do anything and you’re this wet?” Emily asked proudly.
“Mmhmm,” you moaned, your eyes closed as you rolled your hips, pushing her digits deeper as her wrist thrust. You felt her mouth trail down your neck, latching onto your nipple. She stared up at you through half lidded eyes, blinking at you slowly as her tongue swirled around the bud.
You felt your chest flutter like her eyelashes, watching as she moved carefully down your body. Her fingers slowed to almost a stop as she sunk her teeth lightly into the skin of your hip. You were gasping and squirming with every movement as if no one had ever touched you before which only added to Emily’s amusement.
“Need you,” you mumbled, lifting your hips in attempt to persuade her stationary hand.
“I can see that,” she smiled against your skin.
“So mean, I didn’t tease you,” you were still squirming, your fingers running gently through her hair as you admired her. Despite your desperation, you appreciated her ability to stay patient, a quality of hers you always adored. It was certainly an ability you didn’t have and was working against your favor.
“You didn’t,” she mused. “You were very eager to please.”
Her fingers began thrusting into you, curling against your sweet spot as she lowered her mouth to your clit. The sudden stimulation caused your back to arch as her hand trailed up your stomach, reaching to cup your breast.
You clenched the duvet in your fist, your other hand resting gently in her hair as you breathed an elongated groan of, “Fuckk, Emily!”
Your gasps and moans filled the air, her tongue gradually getting faster as she circled your clit. Your head was thrown back, you couldn’t bring yourself to look down knowing you’d likely fall apart at the sight of her head between your legs. She gently rolled your nipple between her thumb and forefinger, pulling another groan from you.
“So needy for mommy, aren’t you?” she whispered breathily, her voice was soft and sweet as if she was still seducing you. You felt your heartbeat flutter in your chest at the sound of her voice, your face flushed red.
“Yes!” you cried out sharply, your hand flying to grasp hers resting on your chest as she intertwined your fingers.
You could feel your muscles tensing as your orgasm built up, your thighs twitching as her movements became more fervent. Her hand gripped yours tightly, almost affectionately, while the other plowed unrelentingly into you.
“Em-fuck, Emily, please, I’m so close,” you whimpered, feeling your nails dig into her skin slightly and clutching her hair a little harder than you intended. She sucked the sensitive bud of your clit between her lips, eliciting another moan of pleasure.
“Look at me.”
Your chin dropped to your chest, your eyes meeting wide brown orbs staring up at you expectantly, just waiting to watch you unravel. And that was all it took to push you over the edge, a jolt exploding through your body as your muscles spasmed around her.
A string of half coherent expletives and pleas along with several gasps and moans tumbled from your lips. Your hips began grinding against her mindlessly, chest heaving dramatically with erratic breaths as your orgasm rippled throughout you entirely.
Her eyes never left yours as you struggled between looking at her and allowing your eyes and head to roll back. Her tight clasp on your hand kept you grounded in reality as you rode out the high of your climax, gradually releasing her hair as your muscles began to relax and she slowed her fingers and tongue.
She crawled up your body, sucking your wetness from her fingers as you silently caught your breath. Your eyes were shut tightly as you had already began planning your exit strategy, trying to figure out how to push down the awkwardness you were already beginning to feel.
It was as if Emily could read your racing thoughts, giving your hand a reassuring squeeze before letting go. She tilted your head toward her by your chin, prompting you to open your eyes. The soft look on her face washed away the feelings of doubt that were quickly clouding your mind, a small smile beginning to tug the corners of your mouth.
She pressed her lips lightly along your jaw and the curve of your neck, mutters of praise and admiration sealed against your skin. Your hand found the back of her neck, your smile growing as her mouth trailed to your lips. She fell beside you, wrapping your body around hers and pressing your head against her chest.
You relaxed against her, a soft sigh escaping your lips as her finger traced light circles along your back. Your hands wandered innocently over different parts of her skin, familiarizing yourself with her body. The two of you laid like that for a while, no words needed, until Emily stirred. Untangling herself from you, she placed a kiss on your shoulder before standing up.
You held your breath, waiting for her to tell you to leave but to your surprise, she didn’t. “I’ll run a bath for you, you should stay with me tonight. Unless we get called in on a case, we won’t have to go into work,” she suggested as she rounded the bed.
She disappeared without another word, leaving you to mull over what she had said. You didn’t want to let her seemingly fond behavior to indulge the feelings you had for her. You shook the thoughts from your head, picking up the book that sat neatly on her bedside table to focus on something else.
“Late night reading?” Emily asked, emerging from the bathroom in a silky dark blue robe. Suddenly feeling very vulnerable, you shifted nervously as you placed the book back to its original place.
“Didn’t take you for a mystery reader, figured you’d get enough whodunnit at work.”
She laughed heartily, “I like being able to solve it half way through, I read twice as many books that way.”
“Oh, Emily Prentiss, the slacker,” you chuckled.
“So that’s what you’d call what I just did? Slacking?” she grabs your hips roughly, pulling you to the edge of the bed.
“Will that make you do it again?”
“No, you’ll have to say please if that’s what you want honey,” she tells you, laughing as she let go of you and you sat up with a pout.
“Oh, you are such a tease, Prentiss.”

A/N: Tiny Angst / All Fluff - Thank you for the request. Short and sweet but super cute :) Super off the prompt... but enjoy!
Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x Y/N
Word Count: 2.1k +
Tumblr media
Oh shit. You sucked in a breath as you sat there and stared at it. The little test that was about to change your whole world. How was it even possible? You were so damn careful. So, so careful. Oh shit. It’s not that you didn’t want any children. No, you did. You wanted Jack to have a sibling. He had practically begged you and Aaron after the first year you were together. It was never the right time though. Work always seemed to be an excuse. Life had a funny way of doing everything opposite of your plans though.
You pulled the test closer to your eyes making sure that second line was really there, “Oh, shit.” You sighed setting the pregnancy test down on the bathroom counter. Running your hands across your face it was hard to fathom what the hell this meant. Your eyebrows pulled up as you dug your palms into your face trying to think what the hell this meant. This was going to throw every kink in every plan the two of you had made. Was he going to be mad? No, of course not. Aaron never got mad at you. Never, ever.
Aaron worked long hours but so did you, if not longer. Being the only orthopedic surgeon in the surrounding area that was worth a damn had you busy. Busier than ever. You’d successfully opened up your own private practice a few years back at the encouragement of your then boyfriend Aaron, now fiancée. He’d proposed a year ago now. The two of you were busy planning the wedding, now this? A baby?
The two of you had gotten together shortly after Haley’s death. That was three years ago now. You’d been living with the Hotchner boys for the past year after Aaron had proposed and things were better than ever. Jack even helped his dad propose to you by bringing in the ring during a fancy five course meal Aaron had prepared. When he wasn’t working he was doting on your or Jack. His two favorite things in the world, he made sure both of you knew it too. He’d learned a lot after his relationship with Haley. He’d made so many mistakes he was not going to make with you. He was going to make sure of it.
You and Jack got along thick as thieves. He knew he liked you when you helped him finish a Hot Wheels track and played with him for hours. Little did he know you were having the time of your life playing with the boy. Healing your inner child as he grew with his own right next to you. He’d taught you so much in the short time you’d known him. It was hard to fathom that he was about to turn eight on you. Well, at least he was getting that sibling he kept asking for. That was if Aaron wanted to keep it. He’d want to keep it right? You looked down at your stomach and sighed, “You’re going to make my life very difficult little one.” You poked yourself lightly. What a mess this was about to be.
You hid the test in your sock drawer. Not wanting him to find it accidentally. You ran a load of laundry frowning slightly when you got to Jack’s clothing. You’d missed him dearly. He was staying with Haley’s mom for a few weeks out in Arizona for summer break. It was his first long trip away from either of you. It was breaking your heart, probably even more than his. The house was far too quiet without him running around telling you all about the latest Call of Duty game.
You weren’t expecting the elder Hotchner home either. He’d normally give you a call or shoot you a text letting you know he was on his way home. It’d only been a few days since he had to jet anyway. These trips could last a week or two depending.
Would you be all alone having to care for the little one? Would he take a step back to help out some more? Would you be expected to step back from your career? All the questions swam heavily in your mind as you flipped the laundry over. A baby. You should be so excited… but this wasn’t the plan. This was the furthest thing from the plan.
Once you finished up you put some soup on the stove to warm. Not really having the appetite for an entire meal anymore. One of the perks of having your own practice was setting the hours for yourself. The more you worked the more you made. The less you did the more you could relax but make less. A dog-eat-dog world.
You were so wrapped up in your own thoughts you hadn’t heard his SUV park, the car door slam, and the front door open and close. Aaron had to call you out by name to bring you back to this reality. The one where you were freaking the hell out.
“Y/N, honey?” He called a little louder this time.
You snapped your head around not expecting him. But low and behold there was a text on your phone from hours ago. You just failed to see it. Oh, shit. Now you had some explaining to do. Were you even ready to tell him? He had every right to know. This was just as much his baby as yours, “Aaron. Hi.” Shooting him a forceful smile you
“What’s wrong?” He asked immediately looking around the kitchen as if there was an intruder
You shook your head, “Nothing. Sorry honey. I was just wrapped up in my own head. Big case came in today.” Lie. Dirty filthy fucking liar. You hated lying to him. But you needed a second to think. You’d had all afternoon to think… but not about this. Not about telling him.
He walked over to you peeling you away from the counter you were leaning over. His eyes danced from spot to spot on your body. Checking you over. Making sure, “Is that all? You seem upset.” He frowned while brushing a strand of hair away from your face.
You opened your mouth but closed it quickly. Who did you think you were? You couldn’t hide this from him. His job was to read people. He could already read you like a damn book. He’d see right through any lame ass excuse you think you could give him.
“Sweetheart? Are you alright?” He looked concerned now. Why couldn’t you tell him?
Again, you opened your mouth, but the words failed to come out.
He took you by the shoulders, “Y/N. Honey. Come on. You can tell me.” He looked tired. So damn tired. You felt bad for doing this to him now. Ideally you’d tell him after a long sleep. After he was relaxed. Hopefully h
It just had to come out. That’s what you had to do. So, with wide eyes you spit it out at him, “I’m pregnant.”
His head cocked to the side as a smile turned up, “You’re pregnant?” The grip he had on your shoulders loosened a touch as he ran a finger along a shoulder blade gingerly. Almost as if you were the most delicate glass that could break at any moment.
You nodded almost afraid to meet his eyes, “Yeah.”
You closed your eyes breathing him in. Tears rolled down your cheeks before you buried yourself into his chest, “I’m so sorry Aaron. We’ve been careful…” You felt guilty? Guilt. That was it. Like you
He pulled you out immediately, “You’re sorry? Y/N. This is good. You’re pregnant baby! My baby is giving me a baby.” His usually stoic face broke out into a grin as he pulled you back into a hug. He squeezed you tight in his arms.
Some excitement broke through your nervous exterior seeing his joy at your bomb dropping, “You’re happy?”
“Honey.” He took your hand and pulled you to the couch right on top of him, “I’m so happy. We both want him or her.” He pointed to your belly with a look of deep admiration, “Why wouldn’t I be more than excited baby?” He pulled you in for a long kiss. A deep long kiss. He loved you so dearly. This was everything for him.
You shook your head after he broke away, “The timing is off…”
His smile calmed your nerves immediately, “The timing will never be right baby. We’ll find an excuse around every corner. Why not now?”
You felt every bit of anxiety escape down through you, “We’re going to have a baby, Aaron.”
He nodded excitedly, “We’re going to give Jack a sibling. He’d going to be beside himself.” Aaron chuckled running his fingers along your abdomen.
“Boy or girl? Which one do you want?” You asked curiously.
He shrugged, “Doesn’t matter. So long as they’re healthy. A little one of you would be really stinking cute though.” He leaned in giving your nose a quick kiss.
“I don’t know if we want to deal with all that drama.” You giggled remembering how much of menace you were from 13-19 years old. A complete menace with no regard for your parents. You grew out of it of course but it was rough there for a while.
He looked at you with the utmost love in his eyes, “She’ll be perfect. He’ll be wonderful. Life is going to get so much better baby.”
“We’re both so busy.” You didn’t want to bring down the mood, but you needed to know. To know if he had a plan. To know the both of you could figure it out.
“We’ll figure it out. If I need to step back I will. Don’t worry sweetheart.” He squeezed your side giving you a small reassurance.
“You’d do that? You love your job.” You frowned hoping
His laugh brought your eyes back level with his, “I love my job yeah. But I love you more. Love Jack more. Love this baby so much more than you can even imagine. So yes, I’ll step back if we need to. You are my priority. This baby is my priority.”
You didn’t think your love could grow more for the man but here you were. Your heart was swelling for him. It swelled for all the love you were feeling from the man of your dreams. It was by chance that you met him.
You were the on-call surgeon that night. Only on call once a month. And you’d been called in. A member of Aaron’s team had been shot and needed surgery to repair and stitch the wound back up. It was touch and go. You’d almost lost the man on the table, but he pulled through.
Aaron thinks he fell in love with you right then and there. You were the most beautiful woman he’s ever laid his eyes on. And you just saved Spencer’s life? Yeah he wasn’t going to let you slip out of his grasp. Lucky for you he didn’t. He stayed at the Hospital until the end of your shift. In panic he asked for your number in case he didn’t see you again.
It started as quick coffee dates when he was in town. It progressed quickly to you babysitting Jack and facetiming Aaron more often than you wanted to admit. You were smitten, quick. The rest was history. Sure, he was a bit older than you, but it was everything you could’ve asked for and then more. He was the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful guy you’d been with. You were happier than you’d ever been. You’d worked through the struggles of both your jobs and the lack of being around. Thank goodness you did because you’d ended up with him. You’d had the pleasure of falling in love with him.
“You’re my priority too Aaron. I can always find another surgeon for the practice. Stay home for a while.” You grinned thinking about it. How lucky would you be if you could pull that off?
“We’ll do whatever you what baby.” He pulled you back in so you were laying on his chest, “We’re having a baby.”
You smiled up at his giving his cheek a quick kiss before nuzzling into his neck, “We’re having another little Hotchner.”
He held you in his arms laughing just thinking of the chaos, “Good luck to us.” He was so excited. So beyond excited to do it with you.

I walked up to the figure illuminated by vending machine lights. His head was down as he looked through the options, not really intending on buying anything at all. I slowed my steps on the approach, just barely catching his attention before I was right next to him.
“Hey,” he said quietly, giving me a soft smile.
I grinned in full, not bothering to hide my feelings. Nobody was around, anyways.
“Hey. You come here often?”
He laughed. “Only this once. Waiting around for this girl who said she’d meet me here.”
“Sounds like she’s into you.”
He nodded. “I think so.”
I grabbed his hand, attempting to pull him closer. He took the advantage to bring me in instead, my back against the hard plastic of the machine’s display. Rather than kissing me then and there, he leaned in, lips unbearably close to my ear.
“I feel like we’re sneaking around past our parents,” he said quietly.
“You never got that ‘teenage dream’ experience. Maybe this is your second chance.”
He smiled. “Maybe.”
His lips pressed to mine, silencing our whispered words for good.
We were far from teenagers at this point, but he was still a dream. I found myself feeling giddy at every turn, completely ignoring the impending doom that loomed over our relationship.
We both knew we weren’t trying hard enough to hide it. Neither of us knew what would happen when it finally came to light.
Until that happened, we’d pretend it wasn’t in the cards at all. Summer love was still sweet, even being far removed from the romanticism of anything resembling the movie-loves I’d grown accustomed to religiously watching. This was somehow better. Maybe because it was more realistic. Probably because it was always more thrilling to live it out.
I smiled into our kiss, feeling his wandering hands trying to get themselves under my legs to lift me up. Sadly, we never got the chance.
We heard footsteps coming down the hall quickly, breaking apart and trying to look as nonchalant as possible as we mindlessly gazed at the snacks inside the machine.
“I’m thinking M&Ms,” I noted, almost laughing.
Spencer hid a smile. He clicked the right buttons right as our visitor reached us. The little package dropped, our secret still somehow concealed from a slightly-confused Aaron Hotchner as he stood behind us waiting for his turn.
“Night,” I said, giving a slight nod.
“Goodnight.”
Spencer followed behind me, hoping it wouldn’t be obvious that he didn’t have some cheap snack of his own in hand as we walked past. I rationalized that he looked too tired to notice, anyways.
We wound up back in my room, giggling with each other like kids at a sleepover. I made him do a face-mask with me while he made me listen to a lecture on how the hyaluronic acid in the formula provided moisture for our skin. I gladly listened with a smile on my face, and he happily accepted a hundred kisses as I wiped his face clean afterwards.
We laid on my bed, mindlessly talking about whatever came to mind. He took my hand in his, running his thumb across the back of my hand in repeated motions as we talked.
“What do you say we stop hiding us?” I asked at last, staring at the ceiling. “I’ve established myself on the team at this point, I think.”
He was quiet for a moment, still running his thumb over my hand.
“I don’t know. I think it’s better that we keep it quiet.”
I paused, taking in his response. I’d hoped that after a while we wouldn’t be hiding anymore. As much fun as it was to sneak around, it could be utterly exhausting. But, if he still wanted to, I’d agree.
“Okay.”
“Okay?” he questioned, turning his head to look at me.
I looked back at him, giving him a small smile and a nod.
“Yeah. If that’s what you want, it’s fine by me.”
He smiled, pressing a kiss to my forehead. I sprung up a moment after, standing at the foot of the bed. I grabbed my phone, clicking around on the screen as he propped himself up to look at me. I held out a hand to him.
“Dance with me, pretty boy,” I sang out, hitting shuffle on one of my playlists.
He quickly obliged, not wasting a second in worrying about whether or not he could actually dance. He knew I’d be there to guide whatever movements he didn’t know how to do yet.
Whispers of ‘are you sure?’
I smiled at him, admiring the way he payed way too much attention to how he moved. I made it a goal to loosen him up. After a minute, he was letting me guide, leaving his body to its own devices. He was really better off for it.
I can see us lost in the memory
We swayed along to the song, silently praying it wasn’t some kind of sick foreshadowing of how our summer would end. I pretended not to care much about the lyrics. He pretended not to listen to most of them.
August sipped away like a bottle of wine
Cause you were never mine
“Do you think that’ll happen to us?” I asked, still smiling past the gravity of the question.
“Of course not,” he answered with finality.
Wanting was enough
For me it was enough
To live for the hope of it all
I took his hands, the both of us spinning around in circles with smiles on our faces that were real and genuine despite a nagging feeling that something might be wrong.
I knew mine had a lot to do with very real feelings I was scared to talk about. I was too afraid to think about what may have filled his head. It was really none of my business, anyways, so I cleared my head of it all. Wanting was enough. I didn’t have to doubt that. It had been enough for two months so far. That had to count for something.
Weeks later and it was August. That lingering question of “will it last” was ever-present in my head. I just kept pushing it down. Fuck compartmentalization. That question was locked in a dungeon, chained to a wall, and I intended on keeping it there until we were either burning to the ground or eloping in Vegas.
Those seemed like the most viable options, anyway. An extremely-attached, yet no-strings kind of situationship could really only go one of two ways.
I almost wanted him to hate me at that point. It would certainly be a thrilling end if he revealed that he never cared about me and was only doing all of this to screw with my head. Almost like he was a spy, trying to uncover whatever boring substance made up my psyche.
I knew that was… Slightly less realistic, though.
I probably shouldn’t have been thinking about it so thoroughly, especially since it was merely theoretical. It would have caused a lot less mental work. It also might have prevented me from being off my game.
I had a habit of being a bit clumsy when we weren’t in life-threatening situations, but messing up while we were on a case? Unbearably embarrassing.
I looked up as my arm hit the wall to stop me from falling over my own two feet, disgusting to find that an exposed nail head had given me quite the scratch. It looked pretty gnarly, and frankly I was thanking my lucky stars I’d already gotten a tetanus booster after my last injury. However, I probably couldn’t go much further with my arm bleeding. Especially if they didn’t necessarily need me. It was one man they were going after, and we didn’t even know if he was in this house.
I voiced to Hotch what had happened, and he told me to leave if I was safe enough to do so. JJ and three officers occupied the house anyways, so I booked it out of there.
I cleaned myself up as well as I could with the first aid kit in the car, planning on doing a better job when I got back to the precinct. The house we were in turned out to be a bust anyways. Our unsub was still in the wind. He clearly hadn’t even been in the house in weeks. It was wildly frustrating.
Until Miss Penelope Garcia called in to save the day as she always did. She let JJ and I know that the others were currently heading across town to an apartment that she was certain housed the unsub and our most recent victim.
“Finally,” I sighed, leaning my head back in the seat.
JJ was quiet, and I looked away from my driving to see her. She smiled at me when I turned my head.
“What?” I questioned with a laugh.
“Can I ask you something?” she inquired, sitting up a little more straight. “It’s a little personal.”
I quirked a brow. “You can ask, but I reserve my right to remain silent.”
She laughed. “Alright. Fair enough. Uh, I’m just wondering about you and a certain team member.”
I swallowed. Uh oh.
“Okay?”
“I’ve just— I’ve heard rumors, and I wanted to ask you directly about them rather than letting the rumor-mill run.”
I nodded slowly. “What have you heard?”
“Word on the street is that you and Morgan used to be an item.”
Oh.
“Ah,” I replied with a chuckle. “Uh, yeah. Yeah, we were a thing. But that was a while ago, and I’m pretty certain we’ve moved past it.”
“Right, yeah,” she nodded. “You know, he has a secret girlfriend now.”
I smiled, glancing at her. “Really?”
She nodded again. “Yeah. He’s been trying to hide it, but Garcia loves to talk.”
I laughed, thinking of the bubbly, well-meaning woman. She had a hard time with secrets, though she tried her hardest.
“That’s good. He deserves to be happy, he was always a great guy,” I said.
“Just gotta look past all of the mindless flirting and the jock-persona,” JJ noted jokingly.
I hummed in agreement, turning down the road that would lead us to the precinct at last. It was a good thing, too, since my arm was really starting to irritate me now. My discomfort must have been obvious, as JJ looked at me once again.
“You okay?” she questioned. “That cut on your arm looks pretty painful.”
I looked at it, noticing there was some bleed-through on the bandage. I sighed, not looking forward to cleaning it up.
“I’ll live. It just itches pretty bad right now, and it’s fairly sore.”
“I can help you when we’re back at the station. You shouldn’t have to do that alone.”
“Thanks Jayje,” I said, resting a hand on her arm briefly.
She covered my hand with her own, giving me another smile. It felt like she could see through me on occasion. She had quickly become one of my closest friends on the team, which took me a little by surprise. She seemed a little too unironic-girlboss when I first met her, but the second Penelope helped me see her true colors… We were fast friends.
I almost found myself telling her about Spencer and I on multiple occasions, but always ended up thinking better of the idea. That moment was one of the times I almost said something.
Of course, I thought twice about it, but she gave me that look like she knew what I was thinking.
I found an out when we pulled into the precinct, and took up her offer to help me with properly fixing up my arm. We made light conversation as I tried like hell not to focus on the stinging pain that occurred every time she probed at the cut.
We did whatever we could to help after she was finished. At least until the rest of the team showed up. But, to my delight, we rounded out our night by heading home and going straight to the bar.
I didn’t often let myself get well and truly drunk. Especially not when I was around Spencer. I knew I had been staring at him once I downed my sixth shot, but by the third mixed drink he was pulling me out of the bar. He threw out some kind of excuse that he was tired and I needed a ride home.
“What’s up with you?” he asked after bidding a goodnight to everyone else. “You’ve been acting weird, and now you’re getting wasted.”
I was annoyed by the comment, but there was concern in his voice over everything else. I leaned into him as we walked towards my car.
“I just wanted to have some fun, Spencie.”
He sighed, continuing to help me walk until we reached my vehicle.
“Come on,” he muttered under his breath, helping me into the backseat of the car.
I slumped over into the seat as he did, just barely letting him put the seatbelt around me and click it into place. He was fairly quiet as he did so, which really only furthered my concern. Even drunk I knew well enough to see that something was off with him. He shut the door, and I let myself drop against the seat, listening as he opened and closed the driver’s side door.
I glanced up, seeing him adjust the mirror to keep an eye on me in the seat rather than the road. It was dangerous and stupid. And so sweet it made my stomach flip.
I let my mind wander as he turned on the radio, thought he kept it low, and started driving. I thought of him and the summer we’d shared thus far. Three months is nothing in the grand scheme of life, but it felt like everything when I was with him. He felt like everything in that time. I hated keeping him a secret so much.
Maybe I shouldn’t have drank so much.
I let out the tears I was holding back, sniffling as the snot starting trying to weasel its way out of my system. If I was going to cry like a baby, I wasn’t going let myself get all gross and grimy. That’s where I drew the line. I’d make sure at least some of my dignity was preserved.
He looked at me in the rear view mirror, brows furrowing.
“Y/N?”
I sniffled.
“Yeah?” I managed, knowing I sounded absolutely pathetic.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice soft. “Why are you crying?”
I met his eyes as he continually glanced at me in the mirror. I had to have looked ridiculous, laying on the backseat with tears streaming down my face for seemingly no reason.
“I’m fine.”
He deadpanned. “You’re sobbing in the backseat of your own car.”
“I’m fine,” I said again through tears, voice coming out much more whiny than I’d intended.
He said my name as a warning, seeing through my… untruth. I felt more happy calling it that than anything else. I looked at him, admiring his pretty face through the mirror as he looked on at the road ahead. Maybe it was a good idea for him to practically drag me out of the bar. I could be a messy drunk, and I definitely would’ve outed us by wanting to be messy with him in front of the team if I’d drank any more.
Keeping secrets sucked. It was stupid and annoying. Especially when he was so hot.
I whined out loud at the though, squeezing my eyes shut.
“What?” he whined back, a laugh on his lips.
“I’m sick of this.”
“Sick of what, baby?”
I sighed, wiping away tears that kept on rolling.
“Keeping secrets. I don’t want to have to keep hiding this just to keep you.”
He sighed to match mine. “I know.”
“I don’t want to do it anymore.”
“Honey, we don’t have much of a choice.”
“But I’m going to explode if I can’t kiss you in public anymore.”
“No, you won’t,” he said, looking at me again.
I pouted. “I will.”
“You’re drunk, baby. We’ll get you into bed and you’ll feel better tomorrow.”
“Will you come to bed with me?”
He smiled softly. “Of course.”
I felt the car starting to slow, and though my vision was a little blurry, I saw the green light ahead turn to yellow. I looked at him again, a small smile coming to my tear-soaked face.
“Spencie?”
He hummed in question, not yet looking at me.
“Can I tell you something really stupid?”
“I’d love nothing more.”
I paused for a moment, letting my inebriated state wipe away any inhibitions I may have had otherwise. The car stopped at the light at last. I smiled softly.
“For what it’s worth, I love you,” I mumbled. “And it’s the worst fucking thing you could hear right now.”
I hoped he’d say it back, though part of me expected him to pretend he hadn’t heard me at all.
I definitely didn’t expect him to look at me through the mirror with a devilish smirk.
“I know you do,” he stated. “And it’s not the worst thing I‘ve heard by a long shot.”
I bit my lip to hold back a smile as he pulled away from the light. We ended up back at my apartment, Spencer still helping me stumble the whole way there. I pushed him back against the door as soon as we were inside, but he held my wrists to stop me from feeling him up. I pouted.
“Ow,” I said, pulling my injured arm from him.
“You okay, princess?”
I nodded, quiet. He simply looked at me, certainly not believing me.
“Why are you doing that?” I questioned.
His eyes widened. “W-why am I stopping you?”
I nodded silently, still pouting.
“Baby— You’re drunk. I’m not doing anything with you while you’re drunk.”
I dropped my hands, whining as I leaned my full body into his. He wrapped his arms around me, walking— more so waddling— with me until we reached my couch.
“I just wanna kiss you,” I grumbled into his chest, letting him drop me onto the cushions.
I stared up at him, trying to look alluring. I probably just looked a little out of my mind.
“I love kissing you, but not while you’re so drunk you can’t even stand up by yourself without almost tipping over,” he said, smiling softly as he crouched between my legs.
He leaned up, softly kissing my forehead. He kept my face in his hands, looking at me. He let one hand drop, running it across my arm. I pulled back again, feeling the discomfort in my arm from my earlier injury.
He furrowed his brow, looking down at my arm as it was covered by my sleeve.
“Are you okay?”
I nodded. “I’m fine.”
“You pulled away twice when I touched your arm.”
“It’s okay.”
He sighed, grabbing my arm and gently moving my sleeve up over the bandage. He let out a sharp breath.
“Why didn’t you tell me about this?” he asked, trying not to be annoyed with my concealment. “When did you get hurt?”
I deflated. “Today.”
“How?”
“I got cut. Fell into a nail in the wall.”
He ran a hand over his face. “You should’ve told me.”
“Why?”
He glanced up, furrowing his brow. He was clearly annoyed with me, but I couldn’t bring myself to feel terribly about it.
“Because I want to know when you’re hurt.”
I swallowed. Okay, that made me feel a little guilty.
“It’s not a big deal.”
“It is. That’s a pretty big bandage.”
I was quiet for a moment. “I’m sorry. I just didn’t want you to worry.”
“It’s my job to worry about you.”
“No, it isn’t.”
He quirked a brow. “Why not?”
“We aren’t even like… A real couple,” I said, closing my eyes. “All we do is sneak around and you don’t ever want to tell anyone and I just don’t think that we can keep acting like it’s gonna last forever if we can’t even tell friends about—”
“It’s not my fault you dated Derek first,” he said, cutting me off.
I scoffed. “He doesn’t even care. That was forever ago and he has his secret girlfriend now anyways.”
“You wanted to keep this secret in the first place.”
“Well I’m sick of it,” I yelled. “I’m sick of keeping secrets and I’m sick of you not caring that I’m in love with you.”
“Not caring?” he asked, voice raising as he leaned back on his knees.
“You didn’t even say it back when I said it.”
“Because you’re drunk! How am I supposed to know if you even mean it?”
“Because I do!”
I groaned, my head dropping back against the cushions. My buzz was starting to wane, and I wished it would hold on a little longer.
“You were crying in the backseat. We said we’d talk about this tomorrow when you were sobered up. Why don’t we stick to that plan?” he said after a moment.
“Why can’t you just tell me how you actually feel about me?”
“I don’t want to say something and have you not remember it.”
“You’re so annoying,” I grumbled.
He rolled his eyes, standing abruptly. I readied myself for him to leave. I knew I was being childish, but I was tired of keeping everything bottled up. I wouldn’t blame him for dropping me then and there.
But, he reached out a hand.
“Come on. Let’s go to bed.”
I looked up at him curiously, not yet taking his hand.
“You’re staying?”
He nodded. “Of course. I don’t want to leave you like this.”
I reached out, letting him help me up. We walked to my room, quietly undressing. I climbed into bed, watching him as he finally tugged off his pants, leaving him in just his undershirt and boxers. He shut my door, turned off the lights, and got under the covers with me.
He reached out for me under the sheets, tugging me against him. I sighed, resting my hand over his arm.
“I’m sorry,” I whispered.
“It’s okay. We’ll talk tomorrow.”
I woke up to a horrible headache, and a nauseous feeling that I was convinced would probably never ever go away. I was 100% certain I would never drink again ever in my life. It was a set rule that I made very quickly.
“How are you feeling?” Spencer asked.
My next rule was that nobody was ever allowed to speak to me again.
I broke it immediately.
“Like crap.”
“Here,” he said, a stupid smile in his voice from the one word.
I opened my eyes to see him offering me a couple of little pills and a glass of water. I took them, grateful, even though I wanted to tell him to leave me alone in the dark for the next few months. Thankfully, he let me lay in his arms until the medication kicked in and took the edge off of my stupid hangover. I was at least thankful we didn’t have work that day.
My head was buried in his chest when I felt his lips against the top of my head. He rubbed my back, coaxing me back to the real world. Unfortunately I’d been a mess in the real world the night prior and did not want to deal with the aftermath.
“Baby,” he said quietly. “Are you alright?”
“Mhm,” I hummed, leaning back a little. Just enough to see him. “Medicine helped.”
“Good,” he smiled. “I was a little worried. You drank a lot more than you usually do last night.”
“I know. I was a mess.”
He smirked. “A little bit.”
“I’m sorry,” I said, brushing hair out of his face. “I’m sorry we argued.”
He was quiet for a second, then perked up a little when his phone dinged.
“You hungry?”
“I really don’t want to go out, love.”
He laughed softly. “I know. I ordered in while you were laying down.”
“You’re a dream, Spencer Reid.”
We tumbled out of bed, Spencer insisting on preparing everything after he thanked the delivery person at the door. He made me sit at the table and wait for him, not allowing me to do anything at all until all of the food was laid out. He delighted in it.
“There,” he said, setting down our drink at last as he sat next to me. “And you tried saying I didn’t love you.”
My eyes widened, not expecting him to say anything, but especially not like that. He looked at me.
“What?” he questioned.
“That’s how you’re going to tell me?” I asked with a laugh.
“I thought you knew anyways,” he shrugged. “I do love you, you know?”
I felt heat in my cheeks at that, a smile on my face that I couldn’t control. He smiled right back at me, pressing a kiss to the back of my hand.
“Do you really think we’ll last past summer?” I asked, hoping he was feeling honest.
He sighed, the smallest grin on his face.
“It’d be a cruel end if we didn’t.”

Can’t Sleep - Derek Morgan
Tumblr media
Prompt: How does Morgan comfort his partner when they can’t sleep?
Pairing: Derek Morgan x GN! Reader
Disclaimer: mentions of death and loss. Mentions of bullying, abuse, and violence and killers. Reader works in a hospital. Some angst and comfort. Established relationship, a consensual kiss, SFW.
Word Count: 780
A/N: I just watched Season 11 episode 16 where Morgan gets KIDNAPPED and TORTURED and it was so painful to watch and stunningly beautiful and heartbreaking. In the ep, Morgan mentioned the moment he knew he wanted to marry Savannah: when they sat together until the sun came up, with no words exchanged, after a bad day. Here’s my take on that moment. Fun Fact: the ep was directed by Thomas Gibson aka Hotch!
Click.
You heard the lock of the front door click open, a sound that was alarmingly loud in the still quiet of the night.
A glance at the grandfather clock by the fireplace told you it was 4:11 am. The dead of night.
You were hunched up in a knitted blanket, feet tucked under yourself, where somehow the warmth of the fireplace still didn’t seem to be able to warm your fingers and toes.
Derek Morgan stomped into the house. Even through all his tactical training, somehow he never walked quietly when he wasn’t on duty. You heard a sigh escape from the depths of his exhausted body as he tore off his boots and carelessly tossed his black go bag on the floor.
His sleep-deprived brain finally registered the glow of the fireplace, illuminating your face as you turned to glance at your lover.
Derek opened his mouth to speak, to ask the questions you knew were coming like:
Why are you up? I texted you but I didn’t expect a reply.
Why are you downstairs? Shouldn’t you be in bed?
Are you okay?
The answer to all of which was etched on your face as clear as day.
You were grieving.
This had happened a few times before in the years you’ve been together. At the hospital, patients were lost every day, just like in Morgan’s line of work, people died all the time.
But, as the both of you knew, some days the loss was harder to deal with than others. Much harder.
Morgan remembered that you were treating a teenager who had been injured in a suspicious camping accident, where you suspected they were being severely bullied. They must have succumbed to their injuries today.
As Derek stepped closer to you, you seemed to shrink deeper into yourself, your face now buried in your arms as silent tears racked your body.
His heart broke for you as your usually strong, confident frame, shivered and shook with sadness and anger.
He took a seat next to you on the couch, his largeness sinking the cushion down so that you naturally fell into his side, leaning your head on his shoulder. He gripped your hands in his callused ones, rubbing them gently to bring warmth to their icy touch.
After a few moments, your breath started to come back into your lungs with more certainty; the sobs had subsided.
So you picked your head up, about to thank your lover for his comfort.
But the flickering light of the fireplace now revealed his face. And you were startled to see tears rolling down his chiseled jaw as he stared deep into the flames, his mind clearly elsewhere.
What you didn’t know was that SSA Derek Morgan also had a bad day. A spree killer was after father and son pairs, taking revenge on his own abusive and alcoholic father. He always left the sons alive. Morgan connected with one of sons who became a key witness to catching the killer. But it was watching the kid square up his shoulders and comfort his distraught mother in the hospital, that broke Morgan’s heart.
Just like him, that little boy had now become the man of the house. Just like him, he had to learn the ugly truth of life at far too young an age.
The truth that dads can die.
It was this grief, for himself, for that now fatherless child, that made Derek Morgan, the big, strong FBI profiler, who kicked down doors and tackled serial killers for a living, break down in tears in the privacy of his home, and in the arms of his lover.
So you comforted him. You drew your arms around his broad shoulders and tipped his head down into your chest, soothingly rubbing his back up and down. Derek hugged you back fiercely, locking his hands around you and squeezing tight, as if he never wanted to let you go.
You held him for hours, until the first beams of light started to stream through the woven fabric of the curtains.
Sunrise.
And just like that, another day. Another patient, for you, and another case for him.
People always needed saving. And that’s what the two of you were here for.
Derek shifted on the couch, loosening his hold on you, but still grasping a hand in his. His expression now much more calm than it was before, you were relieved to see. His eyes softened as they took in your beautiful, tear-streaked face, as if seeing you for the first time.
He leaned in to press his lips to yours, filled with unspoken words.
I need you.
I love you.
Thank you.

Spencer pulls up to the hospital you work at, and you turn to him with a sweet smile.
“Thank you for driving me.”
“Of course.”
You lean up and kiss him quickly before leaving the car.
“Remember, we have date night tonight. I have a present for you.”
“I can’t wait.”
You leave his side and walk into the hospital with tens of other people trying to either get to work or see their loved ones. Spencer notices a tall man walk in right behind you but he doesn’t think anything of it. He puts the car into drive and heads to the BAU which is only a quick twenty minutes away. Derek greets Spencer as soon as he comes in and he hands him a coffee.
“Thanks.”
“How’s Y/N doing?”
“She’s doing her best. I don’t know how she and Savannah work in hospitals. They must see more gore than we do. Plus, their hours are longer than ours.”
“I guess the same thing can be said about our jobs.”
“True,” Spencer chuckles and sips his coffee.
JJ walks into the room with a worried look on her face and she turns the news on for all to see.
“This just in. Quantico State Hospital is on complete lockdown as reports of a shooter come from within. Doctors are rushing to get patients out in an orderly fashion, but the location of the shooter is still unknown. The Quantico Police Department and SWAT have already arrived on scene, but not much is known at this stage in the investigation.”
“This just happened ten minutes ago,” JJ says as everyone gathers in the bullpen.
“No, that can’t be. I just dropped Y/N off. Everything was fine,” Spencer panics.
“The police are getting calls after calls from people inside the hospital. They’re evacuating the wings who aren’t affected as of right now. There’s no telling where this guy is going, who his target is, or how many people are affected inside.”
Spencer takes out his phone and dials you but your phone goes straight to voicemail. Spencer visually begins to panic and Derek places his hand on his shoulder to help calm him down.
“We need to go down there and help.”
“I agree,” Hotch says, “but we can’t go inside until we know the situation.”
“I don’t care. I just need to get down there.”
By the time the BAU gets to the hospital, the roads have been closed off, and a lot of patients and doctors are in the parking lot separated from less urgent to most urgent in terms of who needs to be taken care of first. First responders and doctors use what’s in ambulances to help keep some of the patients alive, but there is a great deal still left inside the hospital.
“Commander, what is going on?” Hotch asks.
“I came over with my guys as soon as I heard the calls. The dispatch center is getting calls left and right about this.”
The man plays a few recordings of calls that came into the 911 dispatch center.
“There is a shooter in the hospital! Send everyone!”
“My friend is dead. Please send help. I’m scared!”
“I don’t know what you have to do but we need help in here! The shooter is tall with blonde hair and facial hair. I don’t know where he went.”
The next call captures Spencer’s attention because it’s you.
“There is an active shooter right now, and I’m in the middle of surgery that I can’t stop. Last I heard he was in the OR wing where I am. Send help!”
“That’s my wife!” Spencer gasps.
“Yeah, it’s always someone’s wife or daughter,” the Commander sighs.
If the shooter is in the OR wing where you are, are you okay? Are you even alive?
“Why aren’t you going inside?”
“We don’t know the situation yet. We don’t know where the shooter is or how extensive the damage is. If we go in now, we could scare the shooter into killing more people.”
“This isn’t happening right now,” Spencer sighs and pulls at his hair gently. He looks at Derek and Hotch in desperation. “What if it were Savannah? Beth?”
As much as it sucks, Hotch could use a person on the inside. He knows and trusts his team to go inside and de-escalate the situation while the others find a way to get inside the safest. Hotch gives Spencer two nods and he takes off running to the entrance. Derek steps in the way of the officers that try to stop Spencer but aren’t successful.
There are a few bodies by the entrance since that is where the shooter stuck first. He strains his ears to hear where the shooter might be since the entire hospital is filled with a deafening silence. He doesn’t have time for this when you could be in danger. He prays that you’re alright as he safely and carefully runs to the OR wing.
He looks into each OR as he passes by but you’re not in any of them. That is until he reaches the last one. On the floor in the scrubber room are two doctors or nurses who jump at the sound of the door opening. They relax when they see his FBI vest, and he puts his hands up to let them know he isn’t a threat to them.
“I’m with the FBI. Who else is in here?”
“My boyfriend got shot,” one of the doctors says. “My best friend is doing surgery on him now.”
Spencer takes a couple of steps into the scrubber room to look through the window to see what’s going on. That’s when his whole world comes crashing down around him. You’re there doing surgery on your friend’s boyfriend with another surgeon on the opposite side of you, but the shooter is inside with a gun pointed at your head. Tears are streaming down your face because you refuse to stop fixing the man on the table.
“Uh, stay down there.” Spencer takes his phone out and hands it to one of the doctors. “Call for help. Tell them Spencer Reid with the FBI is in OR 3 of the surgery wing. Tell them he says to send the team in.”
“Okay,” the doctor says and grabs his phone.
Spencer slowly walks into the OR with his gun raised. The shooter immediately moves the gun from your head to Spencer when he sees him.
“Spencer,” you cry as you work.
“Drop the gun,” Spencer orders the man.
The man moves the gun back over to you and shoves it into the side of your head. You sob loudly at the thought of leaving Earth like this in front of the man you love.
“I will shoot her if you don’t lower your gun.”
Spencer has no choice but to listen to what he says. If your life is on the line, then he’ll do anything to save it. He drops his gun to the floor and kicks it away per the shooter’s instructions.
“Let him die.” When you don’t, he presses the gun into your head again, and you sob. “Do you want me to shoot you?”
“Y/N--”
“No, I can’t stop,” you cut your husband off.
Spencer needs to get that gun away from you so he takes one step toward the shooter, and he aims the gun at Spencer instead. With the threat of the gun off you, you and the other surgeon work quickly to do as much as you can as long as you can do it.
“The person you’re holding a gun to is the woman I love.”
“The man on the table, Dr. Greystone, is responsible for killing my wife. I was justice!”
“If you kill that man then justice won’t be served. Knowing that this doctor is rotting in prison for killing your wife is justice, and I can make that happen. All you need to do is put the gun down.” Out of the corner of his eye, Spencer sees the knobless door to the OR room open. Hotch and Derek walk in with their guns raised silently so as to not alert the shooter that they’re there. “I will make sure this doctor goes away for a long time. Just drop the gun.”
Whatever he sees in Spencer seems to work because the shooter drops the gun with tears in his eyes. Hotch keeps the gun trained on him while Derek jumps into action. He grabs the man and kicks the gun away before putting handcuffs on him. You’re just about done with this surgery anyway, so you hand the stitch and needle to your coworker and run over to Spencer.
When you feel the comfort of his arms around you, you break down crying.
As soon as the shooter is apprehended, doctors and patients are allowed back inside. Paramedics come rushing in to tend to the wounded. Your friend and her boyfriend are transferred to a room, and you’re taken outside with Spencer while the rest of the BAU help where needed.
“I’m sorry,” you cry. “I had to keep going. This hospital is my family. I couldn’t let my best friend’s boyfriend die.”
“I know. I’m so sorry you had to go through this. I’m glad you’re okay.”
Spencer pulls you in for a hug and you put a hand to your stomach in thought. You have a pregnancy stick waiting for Spencer at home because you’re you wanted to surprise him that you’re pregnant but after what just happened, you might not be.
