Mak: Huddled in the inglenook with the rest of the Whiskeypedia team. Something's afoot. I have a feeling we'll lose again tonight. We need to separate Jude and Gemma.

Markus froze. Why would Mak say that?

Markus: (forced casualness) Why's that?

Mak: (grumbling) They're too fucking good. I'm sick of losing and Jude giving me shit about it. Even Gemma jumps on it. I think she's still mad at me for me giving her shit on Halloween.

Markus forced a laugh he didn't feel. He didn't care to think about that conversation or the following fight when Gemma hurled a remote at him.

Gemma planted a quick kiss on Markus's mouth before quickly moving past.

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 25 (Unexpected Death Cull but then a Baby, Finally!)

The town of Henford was rocked by a seniors’ river cruise disaster which killed Spencer’s grandparents Dennis and Vivian Lewis-Kim, as well as Ian and Derek Moody-McMillan, who were old friends of the Nesbitts and grandfathers to Nicola, Hazel’s bestie-turned-girlfriend.

The disaster brought Everett and Spencer home to visit her family. The Nesbitts sent condolences, grateful to have been spared greater grief as the town’s fledgling riverboat tourism industry took a nosedive. Spencer met her new niece and infant Greyson got to know his aunts on the Pancakes and Kim-Lewis sides of his family.

The visit made them miss home, and they began to talk about coming home to Henford for good. For now, however, life called them back to Oasis Springs after the funerals.

Daisy was still a PlantSim, which was concerning as the effects of the forbidden fruit had worn off much slower than she expected, and River’s wedding was just around the corner. Despite this, Daisy stayed close to Heather until delivery.

One evening, Heather tried to show her mother how to use accounting software for her floral business, but it wasn't going well and Heather was starting to get bored. She nonchalantly checked her phone. "You wrote a whole cookbook, Mom. You taught me how to do online research, but you can't figure out a few numbers?"

Daisy frowned. "I always let the telescope do my number-crunching for me. I really just loved gardening." She clicked something, and the program disappeared. "Oh, what now?"

"Let me." Heather leaned over her mother's shoulder. "You deleted it? How did you do that?"

Daisy shrugged in frustration. "I really don't know."

Heather opened her Recycle Bin to retrieve the deleted file when she noticed a strange folder. "VetConnect? Is this a clone? What?"

"What does that mean?"

"I...I think someone might have cloned my app files and given them to Petcare Inc."

"Who would do such a thing?"

"Other than you, no one's used my computer since...since Malcolm! I used to let him log in to send work emails. Oh my god! I could kill him!"

Daisy frowned. "Don't say that. Can you sue?"

"Against the Landgraabs? I don't even know if I could prove it was him," she said. "But I think I can fight fire with fire. My vet tech had the idea, and it took years to make the first one, but I'm going to have to work on a new app."

After a family dinner in Henford, Heather finally went into labour. Daisy went with her to the hospital, where her doctor was the on-call intern, Jamar Scott, her childhood neighbour.

(And the eldest son of Henford townies Simon and Sara Scott.)

"How's life in Brindleton Bay?"

"It's really great! I love being by the sea and I really feel like the clinic was my calling."

"I know what you mean. What you do for animals is what I love to do for sims."

"And how's Malia's freelance career?"

"She loves the flexibility, and I can't say I blame her. We're talking about starting a family of our own once my residency's done and I can work better hours."

Just before four in the morning, an exhausted Heather gave birth to a healthy baby boy she named Ash Neal Nesbitt. She debated the last name for months, but Malcolm hadn’t checked on her except when he needed a paternity test. And he stole her mobile app's code!

Since then he’d been no better than a ghost. If he wanted to miss out on his son's life, Heather was fine with it. ->

NOTE: To prevent them from randomly marrying other sims I made Dennis Kim and Vivian Lewis fall in love and marry years after their kids, Eric and Alice, married and started a family (they had three girls - Olivia, Spencer, and Lydia Kim-Lewis).

NOTE 2: I made OG grocer Kim Goldbloom the adopted daughter of Ian Moody and Derek McMillan because I wanted to make all the Henford NPCs playable at the start of the game. (I also paired up Michael Bell and Cecilia Kang despite their canon bad first date, married off Agnes and Agatha and moved them in with the Pancakes after making Agatha the mother of Bob, and put Lavina and Rahul in a home in the Bramblewood. She married Paolo Rocca and had two more kids, Rahul married Rashidah Watson after graduation and they moved to Brindleton Bay to start a family.

Contrary to her words, Hunter had been a good influence on her. Despite the fear and paranoia she felt every time she left her cottage, he helped her to push herself more and more. Some dates in town, a seasonal festival. Finally, she felt brave enough to take Derek up on his offer and made a visit to his flower garden!

Now we’re just vibing until the library “opens” at 9:00. I glanced at the google at that is about the time they open up! Sent Ian to birdwatch and Derek to write a little.

Annnd this is why I sent Ian to the birds. High singing ability means we can sing with them! Beautiful! Anyway, it’s time to pop over to the library in Britechester. It’s where Derek wants to go and Ian needs to meet someone in another location for his aspiration. Also I suddenly remembered I could have Ian introduce people to Derek. Because he would if there were traits in common. (It’d be the only way he’d make friends) Anyway, Ian’s going home while Derek’s going to work on his novel. ...or the computer could break down. That too. Anyway now I’m just going to stare at the person hogging the one computer remaining.

Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare. I’ll give it until 4PM until I go home ..IT BROKE DOWN AS WELL. BASTARD GAME! To home with us!

Paying bills and...3 thousand. YEESH. These men need pensions or something! The grip of mortgage payments looms over us all. -sees fox rushing towards the coop- NO! Go away! I’ve got a chick to hatch! Hopefully. Right. Ian needs to make 12 friends. Ho boy. Let’s get to work. Ohp! Wait! I was going to finish writing the book before Derek went to bed. Let’s go do that. Ian made a friend with Aubrey Shelley, a near randomized Sim I made up in an alt file and moved into Henford. Annnd his want isn’t clearing. We know what we have to do for that then. Anyway, the Creature Keeper, who is now a random sim named Barret Case (again, the starting Sim died) is out and about so befriending time! Right, after some chatter, and talking up Derek to a fellow animal lover, we head back home. Ian’s sleepy, after all! Meanwhile we finish off writing that book and send it off for Derek. Some passive income, yaaay!

Brindleton Bay: The Raghavan household moved out.

Right, it’s been long enough another patch has happened. So now I have a new test file Sim to add to the world. Patricia Moss, an evil botanist. Well gardener for now but botanist is the goal. And she’s going into...Sulani. Not her first choice but we’re running low on starter lots.

Back to Moody and McMillan! Ian’s up and it’ s Love Day. Day of loooove.

Oh, Discovery Quests are a new thing. Basically tutorial for how the Sims works. I’m experienced enough to not care but I might as well do them on this file just to get the basic rewards. Anyway, Ian wants to practice a comedy routine since he’s a goofball, so let’s compose one first ...oh I evidently didn’t need to compose a routine to practice one. Welp. Ah well. Anyway, Derek’s finally awake, so let’s walk on over to the National Park for a date! ...yes I am having the two walk over there in-game as well. Gotta enjoy the scenery somehow.

Oh hey! I can have both Sims go and be playful for this date since Ian is already playful ...annnnd he’s hysterical now. God. If he dies during this date! Well we got gold for the date at least. Just some nice romantic chatting. I’m going to the restroom with Derek, (in a bush even) don’t die! No death towards eating food. Hmm, let’s have a snowball fight. That might-

Please Grim! It’s Love Day! Have a heart? No? Nope. Alas. I guess we’re just trudging home with a new fear of death in our hearts and much sadness. Eight days of mourning to be had. (Man mourning is overbuffed in Meaningful Stories) So we’re just going to be sad and listen to the tunes Derek likes. Or even perhaps...write! Channel that grief! Needs quest specifically calls for a nap so might as well. Let’s get back to writing then. But then!

Mila sighs Marcus: Mila? Hey Mila: Marcus. Marcus: what are you thinking? Mila: did you know Carmen? Marcus: Villareal? Barely, she scared me. I mean- she was adorable, don’t get me wrong. But uh- she came from big money Mila: true, that’s scary enough. Mila: When she died, I tried getting closer to Jacques. Mila: Attempts at including him in clubs or any other kind of social activities failed. He only ever attented those classy gatherings hosted by Mortimer Goth. I also happened to be invited, since Mortimer and Ernest were friends. Mila: So i accepted, because i wanted to be around Jacques. I thought he could need some kind of moral support, and we were both widows after all. Mila: my father warned me about him, ‘’Jacques is like a sly, old fox. And you, sunshine, you’re a chicken’’ at first I just laughed it off but, after some years I understood. Mila: we got close, he was fun to drink with. I took his kids under my wing for a while, they looked grey and lifeless like they’ve been stripped from human care for months. Mila: it reminded me of my own after Ernest left and I had forgotten I was a mother too and not only a wife. Mila: My Gunther gave me a hand too, with the kids. I mainly took care of both Max and Lucas, they were so little. Mila: I felt for Carmen, so much. I still do. Marcus: what made you realize Jacques wasn’t worth the shot? Mila: well, multiple things. The way he treated Hugo, the pressure he put on Luna, and his inability to acknowledge Max. But what made me stay away from him was… Mila: ugh. he kept talking about Carmen as if she was alive, Marcus. It was driving me insane Mila: and I got so scared just thinking about those poor children, would he drive them insane too? Then I clashed into it, that was also Carmen’s fear. Marcus: so you think the rumors are true. Mila: all the mob stuff? It’s plausible. Mila: but I’m sure he killed her. Marcus: jesus mila that's dark Mila: I just hope his kids are turning out okay.

Henford Time!

First up, Ian Moody & Derek McMillan ! This is the first time they've ever been alive in my game, so I was thrilled to finally see them, they normally die day 1 or 2 of gameplay in a new save!🤣
