"blended" statements?

Oh yeah by what I mean by blended statements are statements where more than one power could easily be involved. Like how Love Bombing had elements of flesh and corruption and Gravedigger’s Envy was both End and Buried. 

A lot of the statements in season four use those sort of statements (and a few in early seasons) to build up 160 where Elias explains how the fears are intrinsically linked and to summon the eye he has to summon them all 

There are of course other hints like the Colour Theory Gerry gave and the Giant in the Anthill Leitner offered, but season four was really setting up that blending and blurring how although you can pick out specific fears they’re not really separate.

Do you read Grimm and the Nightmare King as two different characters in general or just for that comic? I'm curios because it's the first time I've come across someone handling them that way

I think when I first got into HK, I interpreted it as NKG is the form Grimm takes on when he’s in the dream.... realm

But lately I’ve been thinking of it as Grimm is a vessel FOR the Nightmare King. Like, each successive Grimm/Grimmchild in the line of many has its own personality and free will. Whenever they die and, I guess, literally pass off the torch to the next one in line, their memories become part of the Nightmare King.

I think I started shifting over to the second heahcanon/thought process after reading some of @rukafais work but I think there might be a handful of other people who do the same

Can't remember if you mentioned it already, but what do you think about Remele literally sharing her space, so to speak, with other characters in her volume? Three extras showing up, her referencing multiple main characters, and Marvus hanging out in the background, seems like a lot to me in comparison. Also, do you think that Chahut's choice of words with "blood initiate" was indicative of her literally associating red-blood with the blood aspect/aspects playing into troll culture in universe?

hmm, not really to be honest

For Remele, its either things out of her control like being in the same game with others, or just her talking about other people, not really strong classpect indicators since neither of those have much to do with her as a person

but I have said before that she could be a Rogue, but her actions are more indiciative of a Thief (especially now that I’ve played the one route I seemed to have missed the first time around)

but you could also say that a driving force behind a desire to steal is the idea that you’re sharing too much with others so *shrug*

Also Chahut literally gets overshadowed at first by Amisia, and for Kuprum and Folykyl, you could say the fact that they share a space says more about them then it does other people they happen to be in the game with

But then Chahut also is canonically a Hope player, not Blood, but she was just mesmerized by the color, like most other trolls are when they see player characters blood, Amisia also got really jazzed about it cuz she’s a painter, Chahut gets really jazzed about it because clown murder cult seems to be the “caste enforcing” caste on alternia, castes dont really stay unless theres something cultural enforcing them, and the clown murder cult is a very powerful influential cultural force on alternia that gets really jazzed about murder and blood and heirarchy

But otherwise none of the trolls on alternia are aware of any sort of Aspect mythology, because all of that is sourced in SBURB

if anything, they see it as “True Sign” mythology, like Scorpios signs like certain things because theyre all connected to the True Sign of the Scorpios, Scorpio

They know about Scor- castes culturally, not “Light” Heros

Watching your playthrough of the friendsim atm and your observation on time-players got me thinking. Them all having immense problems with actual personal tragedies makes a lot of sense to me on like a narrative or even poetic level, like can you imagine something more scarring to them, than something they can't go back and change? Also, is there some kind of schedule you have for playing these?

oh you mean Skylla as a Prince of Time? I meant more to draw the comparison between Princes since that was the thing that needed figuring out, we knew she was a Time player from the ezodiac thing

but yeah that would be very poetic, Time players would be a lot more hung up on past events that they couldn’t change,. because they would be so USED to being able to go back and change things that went wrong, things that feel wrong, that they were told that were wrong

but bad things that happen because of the alpha timeline? Bad Things that theyre essentially told are “correct” the “way this should have happened”

that can make you think all kinds of bad stuffs, like the people involved in that bad event on some level always actually deserved whatever bad event happened to them, even if thats not what is meant by the alpha timeline existing

it what all Time players might eventually take away from it, so yeah, there’s definitely a potential for all kinds of situatiuons involving tragedy there, especially if theyre a really good Time player, so there very used to things going there way (though you can say this of all players really, its just in terms of past/future events for time players, and current events for everyone else)

as for my schedule

i did recently start a new job, and its amazing, as in amazing how little brain power i actually need for it lol

call centre, but no outbound and no sales, customer service/it help line, and since were tier one all our resolutions are heavily scripted/black and white and end up in one of 3 ways at the end of the day basically lol

i literally just read through an exact script for every call and the customer answers basically just dictate which part of the script i go to next lol

for now, my training schedule this month is a straight monday to friday 9 to 5, with i think the last week this month actually starting our actual work schedule

but itll still be basically 5 work days and 2 days off, just whenever ill have days off will change month to month

so going forward, I’m gonna actually try to do some streaming on this upcoming Saturday to catch up with some hiveswap friendsim stuff ive definitely missed

this job ill get my schedules month in advance, and ill basically try to pick one day a week, trying for a weekend (Saturday or Sunday) or close to it if not like Monday or Friday, and ill just have to figure out what exact time is good a bit later

but yeah, one weekend-ish day a week is my rough schedule for streaming for the foreseeable future (choosing Saturdays first, then Sundays if not Sat, and then Fri if not either, or Mon as last resort day)

the June 30th, July 7th, July 14th, July 21rst is basically the next 4 saturday streams that I’ll be aiming for, I’ll update this with an exact timeframe when I figure that out (most likely early morning/afternoon EST roughly)

Yes.

A “Goblin card” is a creature or tribal card with the Goblin creature type. Boggart Birth Rite is such a card and thus one Boggart Birth Rite can target another Boggart Birth Rite in your graveyard. You can then repeat this process for fun and profit and Guttersnipe shenanigans.

@der-hornmeister that’s a good question, and honestly it depends a lot on the individual rat’s temperament. Some rats are naturally more curious, and would want to investigate the box. Some are more skittish and might get scared of the large object.

Rats do have bad eyesight and pretty much see objects as blurry blobs. This rat may have seen a large object coming at them and freaked out, especially if this object smelled like an unfamiliar rat. It’s also possible that the owner grabbed at them in a threatening way, which scared the rat and caused them to lash out. My guess is that it was more likely fear caused by a large shape coming at them, possibly smelling like other rats, moreso than the clear material of the bin itself.

However, rats have a really good sense of smell, as well as a very precise control over their bites. This rat was able to smell the human’s hand and made the conscious decision to bite it. They didn’t try to bite the box and accidentally grab the person’s hand, they bit the hand hard enough to draw blood, which is what indicates to me that this is genetic aggression instead of an accidental grab. The “correct” behavioral response in this situation would have been for the rat to run and hide to try and get away (flight response) instead of biting (fight response).

There’s a lot to unpack in this video, so let’s take it one thing at a time.

First of all, the cage is much too small for any rat. I have to hope this isn’t her permanent cage, because it seems like she also doesn’t have any cagemates. Rats are very social creatures and will get depressed quickly if they don’t have companions.

The information about aggression is also inaccurate. Studies have shown that aggression in rats is genetic - they don’t hold onto trauma in the same way that humans (or even dogs or cats) do, and a bad background isn’t a reason for a rat to bite another rat or a human. Genetically aggressive rats are constantly stressed and afraid because their response is “fight” instead of “flight” or “freeze.”

Aggression can’t be trained out, and often escalates from one bite at a human, to injuring or even killing cagemates. The exception to this is if you have a male rat between the ages of 6-10 months and the aggression only appeared recently — this could be caused by a surge in hormones, and is worth trying a neuter to solve it.

Rats can easily cause nerve damage and have very good control over their bites - if they want to hurt you, they will. Keeping aggressive rats puts you (and anyone else living in your house) in danger, and puts cagemates at risk.

@der-hornmeister (sorry I'm on mobile so I have to answer like that) streaming from those shady websites wasn't illegal per se before the newest verdict. Before it was only illegal when you actually downloaded movies/series, but streaming from a website only temporarily saves data on your device and that didn't really count as downloading, which meant that in most cases it couldn't be prosecuted. So basically it was a legal grey area. But since that newest case where somebody faced legal consequences that grey area in fact now became illegal.
