Here's some crazy idea to include in your next PJ fanfic: When two Demigods are having children, there's a 25% chance that their kid is going to be a god.

There's something called "Mendel's laws of inheritance", which organizes the chances of different results for the children of two parants.

Mendel took two flowers, one with purple genes and one with white genes, and mixed the togather. The entier generation of hybrids came out as purple flowers.

Then, Mendel took two of the flowers from the first hybrids, (F1 generation), and mixed them. The results: 75% of the hybrids were purple, while 25% are white.

The purple gene is the "Dominant" gene, and the white gene is "Reseceive". Therefore, when one parent only has Purple genes and the other only has white genes, all the kids will have the purple and dominant gene take over. But when the parent each has one purple gene and one white gene, the situation looks more like this:

50% of the "children" has one purple gene and one white gene, and the Dominant gene took over. 25% has two purple genes, and 25% has two white genes, therefore it is white.

Now, let's replace the word "purple" with "godly", and the word "white" with "mortal". Imagine Percabeth having children: Percy has one godly gene and one mortal gene, and so does Annabeth. So the table should look like this:

If one of their kids will get the two godly genes, which is a chance of 1/4, they will be a fucking god/godess. 1/2 kids will be demigods, like their parents. But like being a god, there's also a chance of 1/4 that one of their kids will be a regular mortal (probably the safest option out of the three).

so here's my thing right? everyone loves to talk about the ways various media waters down common monsters. specifically vampires and werewolves. specifically like- a vampire who doesn't have to drink human blood waters down the inhuman need to prey on humans. A werewolf who can control when they shift doesn't have the same implications as one who is tied to the moon. And I think there is truth to that. I'm not nearly as scared of a vampire who can survive on rats because I know they aren't completely depandant on getting my blood to survive. A werewolf who can shift whenever is a lot more like a regular shifter than specifically a werewolf.

but I don't think these things ruin the effect? Like primarily you have to consider what the monster Represents in the story and the genre you're working in. like it really comes down to what the author is trying to do and how well they pull it off. A story about someone turning into a vampire, loosing their sense of humanity, and slowly turning to hunting animals like a beast in the forest is a very different vampire horror story than a freshly turned vampire slowly loosing their ability to not drain the people they love. A werewolf who can shift whenever they want, learning to love the wolf and what it represents (anger, queerness, various Repression metaphors) and using the wolf to protect themselves and finding it freeing is a completely different story than someone unwillingly tied to a wolf, that changes against their will and that they have no control over. But that doesn't mean either story is a better depiction of their monsters just by plot beats. they're just different metaphors and versions.

Apollo is the type of clingy, obsessive and possessive father

He loved you since the day you were born just as he loved your mortal mother.

Unfortunately, she passed away during childbirth...or at least that's what he told you.

But fourtantly, you survived, and the music deity managed to take you with him on Olympus to raise you there with the excuse that you are too fragile.

You were indeed born with a fragile health.

Of course, you are wondering why Apollo didn't bless you with good health considering that he is god of healing.

Well, because he wants to always depand on him and solely him.

As awful as that might sound to any parent, Apollo considers you his property.

Considering that you come from him, then he fully owns you body and soul.

He almost lost his mind when you threw a tantrum like any normal child would do when they don't get their way.

"I hate you, you are so mean and I'm going to run away and never come back"

Instead of considering your words childish, he considered them a threat.

Apollo locked you up in a cage as if you were a bird, and cursed you by shrinking your size.

"Don't worry, sweetheart, I would never allow you to leave me"

Caregiver Mary Poppins headcanons!

☆ Games! So many games! She loves to make everything a game obvious!

☆ Tea partys! I feel like she would have the best tea partys with her little!

☆ She would be amazing at making you feel little! Like she would always treat you like a little kid/baby and it would be so nice!

☆Toys! She would have so many toys in her bag, you would never not have a toy with you!

☆Nicknames are a must! She would probably use classic nicknames like 'darling', 'sweetheart', and 'Sweetie' with you!

☆She probably would scold you a little bit for making a mess but would help you clean it up!

☆She would measure when you regress to different ages and it would say something different everytime like 'A sweet baby' or 'An amazingly adorable kiddo' depanding on your age!

☆ Lullabies! She has such a soothing voice, she would love singing lullabies to help you sleep!

This is different from what I usually post,,but I was watching Mary Poppins and realized what a good caregiver she would be!
