Yesterday, my teammate, Marc, who is the instructor at the Lumonics School of Light Art, and I had the great pleasure of visiting the the awesome facility of TACT (TEACHING THE AUTISM COMMUNITY TRADES) here in Denver. [https://www.buildwithtact.org](https://www.buildwithtact.org/) We met with its founder, Danny Combs, who gave us the TACT Tour. Danny is also currently the President of the Autism Society of Colorado. TACT teaches students who are on the autism spectrum, skills such as carpentry, auto mechanics, weaving, computer science, metal arts, and photography, and more. The School has a job placement rate of almost 90% for a community that has almost that high of an unemployment/underemployment rate! We have a great interest at Lumonics in being of service to the community with the classes we are offering in conjunction with the skill sets provided by TACT to open up new job opportunities in fields such as set design and immersive entertainment.
