"Denver, the Last Dinosaur" is an animated series nationally syndicated throughout the United States in 1988 with reruns airing until 1990. It was positively praised for focusing on issues of conservation, ecology, and greed. The show ran for two seasons during the dinosaur boom and received a recommendation from the National Education Association. The series is about a dinosaur hatches from a petrified egg in modern times, and is befriended by a group of teenagers.

Starting with a light guitar melody and building into a fierce, energetic riff, the "King of the Hill" theme is a captivating piece that makes you want to move and feel the rush. It may not have many intricate sections, but its simplicity is a perfect reflection of the show itself. A theme that undeniably deserves a spot in my ranking.

21. Denver the Last Dinosaur

Here we encounter another theme that fits seamlessly into its era. "Denver the Last Dinosaur" is a lively synth rock track from the 80s, featuring robust vocals that are irresistibly fun to sing along with. The exhilarating key change in the final chorus encourages listeners to really push their vocal boundaries (OK, it's just me 😂). It’s a catchy song that can stick in your head for days, like it did for me when compiling this ranking. 😂

20. Goof Troop

The vibrant melody of the "Goof Troop" theme always brightens my mood, and I find myself singing along, even if I occasionally mess up the lyrics (at least I usually get the last chorus right! 😅). The song's uplifting message emphasizes the value of camaraderie during both good and bad times. To make it even better, I just discovered that the phenomenal Phil Perry sang the theme—I'm absolutely ecstatic!

19. Doug (Nickelodeon)

This theme really sparks some fond memories. The voices harmonizing that unforgettable tune, accompanied by subtle music, create a catchy earworm that lingers. Moreover, the moment the guitar strums to life as Roger and Stinky make their entrance injects a refreshing twist into the otherwise relaxed melody. Now, if you’ll pardon me, I’m off to hum this catchy tune for the hundredth time.
