Hi no Tori Hououhen: Gaou no Bouken (火の鳥 鳳ほう凰おう編へん 我が王おうの冒ぼう険けん, "Phoenix Chronicles: Gaou's Adventure") is a 1987 video game for the Famicom developed by Konami, produced alongside a similarly named game for the MSX. Both games are based on the manga series Phoenix created by renowned Japanese manga artist Osamu Tezuka.

"Denver, the Last Dinosaur" is an animated series nationally syndicated throughout the United States in 1988 with reruns airing until 1990. It was positively praised for focusing on issues of conservation, ecology, and greed. The show ran for two seasons during the dinosaur boom and received a recommendation from the National Education Association. The series is about a dinosaur hatches from a petrified egg in modern times, and is befriended by a group of teenagers.
