Where are the children of talentless parents
There's an entire city of lower class elves
I think it's impossible that they just aren't having kids
Would they even get accepted into foxfire?? I don't think they would, because it's a noble school. The whole point is ability detecting
Do they go to exillium?? More likely, are they just not educated at all? I feel like the elvin society would value education, but they do restrict a lot of information to the elite levels "because there's no point in learning that if you're not going to be nobility"
Also, why does the entire species of elves only have like 2 schools??? There are WAY more than two schools just in my town alone. And sure, there are only enough elves in the world to constitute a small city, but why isn't there very much infrastructure?? Like they have a healing center in foxfire, so why isn't there a hospital for the general public? Why aren't there parks for the kids to play with each other in? Why IS there a matchmaking office that tells you who you can and cannot date when there isn't a DENTIST?
ALSO, WHY ARE THE TIMEZONES ALL THE SAME?!?!?!???

He sits in the waiting room the whole time, mindlessly scrolling on his phone. He switches back and forth from watching some random YouTube video of a music review to the groupchat with Steve and Robin which is basically just memes upon memes at this point. Eddie giggles to himself as he shares a horrible edited photo of Matthew Morrison to the duo with the caption “me after one hit.” Robin has a special distain for the former glee star so he knows she’ll soon flood his messages with middle fingers and fuck yous.
When you come out from your cleaning, he immediately stands up and takes off his headphones. The small pout on your face is too cute and it makes him wanna giggle but he doesn’t as he wraps an arm around you while you pay at the counter. Your next appointment is schedule and suddenly he’s dragged you out the door.
“Two options for you.” He says, pressing his lips to the crown of your head as the two of you walk away from the dentist office. “We could go grab a coffee, hit up a bookstore, and go to the park. There’s a Barnes & Noble over on 7th. I checked.
“Or we can just go home and take a fat ass nap on the couch.”
“Don’t you have to go back to work?” You mumble, eyes on the sidewalk ahead of you. Small little piles of fallen leaves are bunching up along your path. It’s a nice day. You should stay out and about a little, soak up the rare autumn sun.
“No, I switched my shift so I’m off today but I gotta work on Friday. I’m all yours.” Your eyebrows raise up a little. You can’t help the warmth rushing to you cheeks at the fact he took an entire day off for you. Eddie has worked so hard to have Friday as a day off that him choosing to work it so he could spend time with you feels insane almost.
“Can we get coffee and then go home?” You say, “actually I might just get a muffin or something. I dunno.”
“Yeah, f’course we can.” He says moving the arm around your shoulder to link hands with you. “My treat for my brave girl.”
ugh i WISH. (except i didn’t have to pay because i’m on ~medicaid~ thanks obama)
he would tease me the whole way there for being scared. normally i’m not scared of the dentist but it’s been so long and god it was the most painful cleaning of my LIFE. (i have some cavities but she said that for not seeing a dentist for so long that it’s actually not so bad and the cavities are tiny) i haven’t even wanted to eat anything since leaving cause my mouth has a pulse.
i’d make him make me mashed potatoes and give me lots of kisses. i AM his brave girl.

Watched in 2023:
(this isn't absolutely everything, but it's all the stuff I had something to say about:)
Zorro (1940)- did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did going in. Although, given that Zorro was one of the inspirations for Batman, I should have. Loved it.
Ocean’s Eleven (2001)- what I love most about this movie is that there is exactly zero pretense of the noble thief going on here. We’re normal thieves, with a normal lack of honor, and the audience is still rooting for us because Tony Benedict is such a jerk.
Avatar the Last Airbender (2005-2008)- nth rewatch. My big takeaway this time was trying to piece together who knew what about previous events at any given moment. When Zuko said that Mai was his girlfriend, Sokka had met her onscreen a grand total of about four times. Things like that, you know, perspective.
Superman (1978)- look. I love all things DC, but I’d only ever seen clips of this one before, for whatever reason. But one of our clinicians mentioned offhand that John Williams did the score, and that was the push I needed to sit down and watch it. And it was. DELIGHTFUL. I had noooooo idea exactly how much Christopher Reeve was BUILT for that role. He’s skinny, he’s tall, his legs are a million miles long, he’s GENTLE, all the things I love for Superman to be. And the rest of the cast??? New favorite Perry, first of all. The only Lois I’ve ever actually liked. Stupid underground Lex with his underground pool and his Odyssean Need for everyone to know his name at all times. I loved it.
Jurassic Park (1993)- *shows up to the movie 30 years late* what’s UP, everyone, I’m a Jurassic Park FAN now. WOW. I liked this one a lot more than I thought I would. New favorite-at-first-sight in Dr. Malcolm. I, too, was once one of those weird little girls obsessed with dinosaurs. Tim and I even have the same teeth. Before watching this I thought the dinos were the villains of this movie, just used for scary purposes. Nice to see that they were treated with respect, and by highly educated characters. They were also scary, but, they can be both. I used to have recurring nightmares a lot like some of the velociraptor parts. I’m a little baby about scary things and the whole experience left me a little bit jittery, haha. Remind me never to read the novel version- I’m sure it’s absolutely terrifying!
Winx Club season 1 (2004)- one of many attempts at a peace offering to my inner little girl, but she actually liked this one ok! Both the dialogue and delivery are absolutely abysmal, but I like the style of it, and the concept of the three different magic schools. The Red Fountain characters cracked me up every time I see them.
Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) and The Winter Soldier (2014)- one is a nice superhero movie, with a bunch of lame one-liners and gratuitous explosions and a succinct core story. The other is a Nick Fury movie with Captain America sprinkled on top, pretending to be a superhero movie. The way they talk is different. I love superheroes but god, I hate the MCU. It just makes me a bit sad how seriously it takes itself. I'm convinced the only reasons The First Avenger is better is because 1. it's set in the past and 2. more concretely based around a preexisting comic storyline.
It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963)- rewatch. TELL me you’ve seen this movie. This classic. This absolute riot. Favorite bits include Sylvester crying in the car, the dentist shhhhing at the explosion in the basement, the entire drunk pilot sequence, and Ginger and Billy Sue talking to each other through the two phones.
Singin’ in the Rain (1952)- I saw this in middle school, and the only bit that stuck with me was ‘you wouldn’t believe the things you can hide in these sleeves’. I've been familiar with some of the music through the years, but I'm very glad I remembered to give it another full watch, it’s a delightful story. Love, love, love all the costumes, especially the green flapper dress
One Piece live action (2023)- I’m an annoyingly big fan of One Piece, and I didn’t plan to watch this adaptation, since I knew it probably wouldn’t live up to my standards, but my friend convinced me. I could go on and on forever with petty complaints, but I can’t lie, the visuals were great. The diverse cast, the effects, and the attention to detail were all good. They completely messed up Zoro and Buggy, but they did Mihawk probably even better than the manga. Mixed feelings. I give it like 3/5 overall.
Generator Rex (2010-2013)- rewatch. I love everything about this show- the premise, the characters, the balance of action, scientific speculation, and humor. But more than anything I love CAESAR SALAZAR
#recommendation#as we speak I am experiencing a violent blorbo renaissance re: Caesar#somehow I didn't manage to see atsv but I will! at some point!

Overcome Dental Problems with Porcelain Veneers
An ever-increasing number of individuals these days experience the ill effects of different tooth issues, for example, bowed and messed up teeth, gaps and spaces between them, stains and destroyed enamel. While more lavish treatments are accessible to cure these huge issues, some minor teeth imperfections can be managed a more proper treatment. A Dentist Noble Park use high-quality porcelain veneers which can cure any dental problems.
More about Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers, or some of the time called as dental veneers or porcelain overlays, are viewed as a speedier and more reasonable answer for fix these deformities. These are wafer-like slim shells that are exceptionally intended to conceal your front teeth so you would accomplish naturally looking teeth. They are for all time connected with uncommon glues and are typically fitted and acclimated to provide food with your dental issues.
Since porcelain consummately takes after normal tooth enamel, it is utilized to make these dental veneers with the goal that it gives the patient a characteristic looking arrangement of teeth. On an ordinary tooth, light reflects and goes through the cloudy enamel, reflecting the dentin, the next tooth layer, which at that point gives our teeth a normally silvery glimmer. Porcelain works along these lines; hence, it is being utilized as a significant organization in dental veneers and even is a broadly used material in the cosmetic business.
Besides that, porcelain veneers also are not effectively flawed as they are stain-safe. The individuals who are partial to drinking espresso, tea, red wine, or even the individuals who smoke need not stress now over teeth staining. If ever these veneers get stained, they can be handily continuously cleaned in a standard dental cleaning procedure, for example, brushing and flossing.
Since these are produced using excellent material, porcelain veneers can last from 5 to 10 years. They could reestablish strength and usefulness to your teeth; for example, it helps in your concrete chomp building. Other than that, dental veneers also require minor intrusive procedures and can be redone for your benefit and to accommodate your dental necessities.
But along all the advantages one can get from setting porcelain veneers, there are also chances that pause, even though they are without a doubt, negligible. Patients may experience some minor tooth affectability just after the procedure. The money related apportioning for this procedure should also be really thought about as the expense changes typically, contingent upon the number of teeth being dealt with.
Porcelain veneers are an ideal method to treat stained, chipped or crooked teeth. Considering this, a splendid, adjusted, and regular looking smile can be accomplished. Dental issues that have been a reason for uneasiness and shame for quite a long time can be restored with a speedy and simple dental procedure.
Conclusion
Remember that you examine your clinical history and bring up any issues to your dentist before going through the dental cycle. Doing so can assist you with getting mindful of the advantages and potential dangers you may get from this. Guarantee that you are working with a dependable and qualified dentist when putting porcelain veneers to accomplish an ideal and sure smile.

Chapter 3
Page 17
Happy st Patrick’s day! I didn’t do anything for the holiday but I hope everyone had a good one or made some corned beef 😃
I slept in, got lots of much needed sleep. I watched some more my hero academia and vacuumed the apartment. My dentist appointment was at 3, so went to that and was there for almost two hours. Got 3 novacaine shots which are awful. They drilled my tooth for a while, got an impression for my permanent tooth, and they put on a temporary tooth on till my permanent gets made which takes about two weeks.
It’s crazy being able to smile again without feeling self-conscious. The hole in my one front tooth has been so embarrassing for me, I would purposely not smile showing teeth because people would sometimes tell me something was in my tooth or ask what’s wrong with it, it’s because it was decayed. I’m so, so glad it’s almost done. When I get my permanent tooth it’ll look even more like a real tooth, this one you can kinda tell it’s fake, but not that noticeable.
Went to Barnes and nobles again since it’s across the parking lot from the dentist and got three manga! Chainsaw man volume 2, my summer of you volume 1 (a new BL manga), and the golden sheep volume 1. The golden sheep one is the same author of this one shot manga I really enjoyed, so I think I’ll like this one too! Also got a coffee from Starbucks 😋
Afterwards we went to our favorite bbq joint, it’s sooo good!! Got it to go and let darla have some brisket and mac and cheese. I still have to take @hrub to have him try the deliciousness. A little after we got home mike messaged our one manager that was his last day today and we hung out for the first time outside of work!
We all went on a walk with darla, walked to the lake by us and back. He was telling us a lot that he couldn’t while he was a manager, like all the inner secrets of our work. I hope we can hang out with him more because he’s really cool and chill to talk to. I read my new chainsaw man manga when we got back and have been chilling the rest of the night. Sorry this one was long, but I had a pretty nice day so wanted to document it ☺️

amity bell 21 / student & cheerleader / lily-rose depp
[ content warning for mentions of death, hazing ] i never want to grow up / semi-sweet cheerleader with better publicity than she actually deserves for the amount of hazing she’s been involved in / likes the thrum of power, but never one suited to the spotlight; instead, her pleasure arises from being the one bandaging them up / ignores her future so often she’s half-convinced it won’t ever come / still considers herself a virgin because she exclusively gets fucked in the a** / daughter of the town dentist whose pearly teeth are shown on every ad / “seven devil’s best smile” except there’s less kindness behind it than one might expect / after the loss of julia riley, she’s more vacant, nothing but a ghost haunting her old steps needs » the dare me request !!!!! / i DO have a family request written for them but essentially, if anyone’s character’s parents died in some tragic accident, amity’s mom has a tendency to one-up her fellow society frenemies to absurd degrees (baking a house full of baked goods for a bake sale, adopting a shit ton of puppies after someone wanted to donate to the local animal shelter) and that included adopting some girl with a tragic past when she and amity were in high school. also a younger sister please and thank you… / COUSINS would be amazing, especially from her mom’s side!! her mom grew up in the trailer park so any connections there could be fun!
daisy wilkes 19 / receptionist / face tbd
[ content warning for mentions of death ] the almost baby, spoiled rotten / sink your teeth in, she dares you, with a cheshire grin / never fails to push at the cages binding her / transformative, her personality of the moment dependent on those around her / for her father, she dons the guise of a doe-eyed innocent / for the girls in the death brigade, a girl willing to do anything to find the truth / alternatively inciting chaos or distracting from it with a cheeky joke / everything’s overrated except secrets and chocolate / haunted by her dead sisters’ ghosts / taking a “gap year” before college / dealing with her trauma, the rumors suggest, but “dealing with” is much too high a bar / using her position as receptionist at the sheriff’s station to help discover the identity of the angel of death / never thinks further than one step into the future / fancies herself impenetrable, pretending not to see her own darkness seeping through the cracks needs » the rest of the wilkes girls / the remaining members of the death brigade, inspired by now and then, who grew obsessive with a mystery in their youth and are now trying to find the angel of death following goldie’s murder / boys for her to flirt with but refuse to f*ck
lemon eisley 20 / volunteer & pageant girl / elle fanning
[ content warning for mentions of suicide ] a marionette tripping on her own strings, never realizing they’ve curled around her neck until it’s too late / she’s a pageant girl, a social butterfly, a beauty with brains enough to know she doesn’t need them for what she wants in life / which is destined (in her own opinion) to get by on her looks, perhaps become a trophy wife and life in the lap of luxury / is that really too much to ask? no / volunteers at the local historical society so she’s not considered a useless layabout, but mainly only welcomes guests and keeps everything looking orderly / determined to win the miss seven devils pageant even if it kills her (or someone else) / (it wouldn’t be the first time) / a prank gone horribly wrong led to one of her friends committing suicide in front of her eyes, but that’s what pills and ignoring trauma is for ! needs » the rest of olive’s amazing until dawn request (she’s the jess!!) / PLEASE give me pageant girls, all the pageant girls!!! especially the ones who’ve been competing against each other since they were kids and probably have been frenemies for so long / ALSO don’t make me write a request but . lemon needs two siblings ALSO named after the fruits their mother craved during pregnancy (i know it’s silly, but haven’t you ever wanted a character named apple???). while lemon and her siblings always thought their parents were disgustingly in love, their mother recently discovered their father’s affair with his secretary but, aside from their father sleeping on the couch and the fights the siblings have heard through locked doors, they aren’t addressing it at all, not even with the kids
mina whelan 24 / waitress / anya taylor-joy
[ content warning for mentions of parental abandonment, teenage pregnancy, death of a parent (stroke) ] a girl of two wishes; the first: to leave. the second: to never come back / one comes true, at the cost of a heart and a reputation; the second she’s forced to discard / grew up filing in line with two siblings who remain equally fatherless with a mother who’s lost her heart to love once, twice, thrice / she swears: i’ll never fall in love / she breaks it; bad luck / falls in love with a boy who’s destined for greatness and so she wrecks it before he can leave her / just after he leaves following graduation, she’s stuck with a pregnancy test in her hand and an immense desire to say fuck him / she has the baby as a fuck you rather than anything else, and mostly doesn’t regret it / hightails it out as soon as she’s earned a diploma, leaving her baby daughter lily with her mother as she tries to find herself / (spoiler alert: she’s still lost) / her mother’s stroke sends her back to seven devils to a family as willing to discard her as she once discarded them / perhaps wishes are only curses waiting to be met needs » two or three half-siblings PLEASE do not make me write this request… their fathers are all unknown (which made their mother the subject of plenty of gossip) so they should all be half-white, but half anything else!! currently also includes britt's girl billie (19)!! / former friends she hung around with in high school who probably were more like frenemies… they can have wine nights and pretend like they don’t spend the rest of the time talking about each other behind their back / i have a diner request coming soon to a theatre near you inspired by the pulp fiction diner (recent renovation that puts all the waitstaff in costumes of 50’s stars) so lmk if you’re interested!
owen wickham 23 / estate sales employee / face tbd
[ content warning for death of a parent (suicide), missing sister ] a cryptid in his own right / originates from that wickham family, you know the one / their sister went missing when they were kids and their father became the prime suspect / he committed suicide soon after, taking away their father and their answers / tends to be seen as: creepy, weird, potentially a vampire? / definitely not, but when him and one of his friends showed up to a towner halloween party with fake blood, the rumor got started / keeps to himself, mainly finds entertainment reading letters to whatever recently deceased persons estate the company he works for has gotten their hands on needs » the rest of his family (reach out to rachel if interested!!) / some fellow outcasts to pal around with
richard “dick” noble 29 / true crime podcaster / joe keery
[ content warning for mentions of death of a parent ] still that boy in that house, swallowed by memories of a life undone / buried himself so deep in his past that he can’t find his way out / grew up too fast [thanks to the trauma!] and then stopped growing entirely / craves the truth, but runs at the first sign of it / the worst elder brother except in a crisis, during which he’s still the worst but at least he shows up? / constantly dons a “polite grimace” unless he likes you [a rare occasion] / talks a lot about the Real World™ for someone who avoids the hell out of it / avoiding his own feelings about living in whitethorn (the site’s version of hill house) again by doing the podcast season on searching for the truth about what happened the night his mother died / a canvas of okay intentions resulting in misery needs » the remaining members of the noble family (inspired by the haunting of hill house) / co-producers of his true crime podcast ghastly / other potential mysteries dick and co. could have investigated on said podcast during seasons one and two (currently starting season four) / various past relationships that inevitably ended when dick would grow waaaay too obsessed with his current case

Sidney Bechet
Sidney Joseph Bechet (May 14, 1897 – May 14, 1959) was an American jazz saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer. He was one of the first important soloists in jazz, beating trumpeter Louis Armstrong to the recording studio by several months. His erratic temperament hampered his career, and not until the late 1940s did he earn wide acclaim.
Biography
Bechet was born in New Orleans in 1897 to a middle-class Creole of color family. His older brother, Leonard Victor Bechet, was a full-time dentist and a part-time trombonist and bandleader. Bechet learned several musical instruments that were kept around the house, mostly by teaching himself; he decided to specialize in the clarinet (which he played almost exclusively until about 1919). At the age of six, he started playing with his brother's band at a family birthday party, debuting his talents to acclaim. Later in his youth, Bechet studied with Lorenzo Tio, "Big Eye" Louis Nelson Delisle, and George Baquet.
Bechet played in many New Orleans ensembles using the improvisational techniques of the time (obbligatos with scales and arpeggios and varying the melody). He performed in parades with Freddie Keppard's brass band, the Olympia Orchestra, and in John Robichaux's dance orchestra. From 1911 to 1912, he performed with Bunk Johnson in the Eagle Band of New Orleans and in 1913–14 with King Oliver in the Olympia Band. From 1914 to 1917 he was touring and traveling, going as far north as Chicago and frequently performing with Freddie Keppard. In the spring of 1919, he traveled to New York City where he joined Will Marion Cook's Syncopated Orchestra. Soon after, the orchestra traveled to Europe; almost immediately upon arrival, they performed at the Royal Philharmonic Hall in London. The group was warmly received, and Bechet was especially popular. While in London, he discovered the straight soprano saxophone and developed a style unlike his clarinet tone. His saxophone sound could be described as emotional, reckless, and large. He often used a broad vibrato, similar to what was common among some New Orleans clarinetists at the time. On July 30, 1923, he began recording. The session was led by Clarence Williams, a pianist and songwriter, better known at that time for his music publishing and record producing. Bechet recorded "Wild Cat Blues" and "Kansas City Man Blues". "Wild Cat Blues" is in a ragtime style with four 16-bar themes, and "Kansas City Man Blues" is a 12-bar blues.
In 1919, Ernest Ansermet, a Swiss conductor of classical music, wrote a tribute to Bechet, one of the earliest (if not the first) to a jazz musician from the field of classical music, linking Bechet's music with that of Bach.
On September 15, 1925, Bechet and other members of the Revue Nègre, including Josephine Baker, sailed to Europe, arriving at Cherbourg, France, on September 22. The revue opened at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris on October 2. He toured Europe with various bands, reaching as far as Russia in mid-1926. In 1928, he led his small band at Chez Bricktop in Montmartre, Paris.
He was imprisoned in Paris for eleven months. In his autobiography, he wrote that he accidentally shot a woman when he was trying to shoot a musician who had insulted him. He had challenged the man to duel and said, "Sidney Bechet never plays the wrong chord." After his release, he was deported to New York, arriving soon after the stock market crash of 1929. He joined Noble Sissle's orchestra, which toured in Germany and Russia.
In 1932, Bechet returned to New York City to lead a band with Tommy Ladnier. The band, consisting of six members, performed at the Savoy Ballroom. He went on to play with Lorenzo Tio and also got to know trumpeter Roy Eldridge.
In 1938 "Hold Tight, Hold Tight (Want Some Seafood Mama)", commonly known as "Hold Tight", was composed by Bechet's guitarist Leonard Ware and two session singers with claimed contributions from Bechet himself. The song became known for its suggestive lyrics and then for a series of lawsuits over songwriter royalties.
In 1939, Bechet and the pianist Willie "The Lion" Smith led a group that recorded several early versions of what was later called Latin jazz, adapting traditional méringue, rhumba and Haitian songs to the jazz idiom. On July 28, 1940, Bechet made a guest appearance on the NBC Radio show The Chamber Music Society of Lower Basin Street, playing two of his showpieces ("Shake It and Break It" and "St. Louis Blues") with Henry Levine's Dixieland band. Levine invited Bechet into the RCA Victor recording studio (on 24th Street in New York City), where Bechet lent his soprano sax to Levine's traditional arrangement of "Muskrat Ramble". On April 18, 1941, as an early experiment in overdubbing at Victor, Bechet recorded a version of the pop song "The Sheik of Araby", playing six different instruments: clarinet, soprano saxophone, tenor saxophone, piano, bass, and drums. A hitherto unissued master of this recording was included in the 1965 LP Bechet of New Orleans, issued by RCA Victor as LPV-510. In the liner notes, George Hoeffer quoted Bechet:
I started by playing The Sheik on piano, and played the drums while listening to the piano. I meant to play all the rhythm instruments, but got all mixed up and grabbed my soprano, then the bass, then the tenor saxophone, and finally finished up with the clarinet.
In 1944, 1946, and 1953 he recorded and performed in concert with the Chicago jazz pianist and vibraphonist Max Miller, private recordings that are part of Miller's archive and have never been released. These concerts and recordings are described in John Chilton's biography Sidney Bechet: The Wizard of Jazz.
With jobs in music difficult to find, he opened a tailor shop with Ladnier. They were visited by musicians and played in the back of the shop. In the 1940s, Bechet played in several bands, but his financial situation did not improve until the end of that decade. By the end of the 1940s, Bechet had tired of struggling to make music in the United States. His contract with Jazz Limited, a Chicago-based record label, was limiting the events at which he could perform (for instance, the label would not permit him to perform at the 1948 Festival of Europe in Nice). He believed that the jazz scene in the United States had little left to offer him and was getting stale. In 1950 he moved to France, after his performance as a soloist at the Paris Jazz Fair caused a surge in his popularity in that country, where he easily found well-paid work. In 1951, he married Elisabeth Ziegler in Antibes.
In 1953, he signed a recording contract with Disques Vogue that lasted for the rest of his life. He recorded many hit tunes, including "Les Oignons", "Promenade aux Champs-Elysees", and the international hit "Petite Fleur". He also composed a classical ballet score in the late Romantic style of Tchaikovsky called La Nuit est sorcière ("The Night Is a Witch"). Some existentialists in France took to calling him le dieu ("the god").
Shortly before his death, Bechet dictated his autobiography, Treat It Gentle, to Al Rose, a record producer and radio host. He had worked with Rose several times in concert promotions and had a fractious relationship with him. Bechet's view of himself in his autobiography was starkly different from the one Rose knew. "The kindly old gentleman in his book was filled with charity and compassion. The one I knew was self-centered, cold, and capable of the most atrocious cruelty, especially toward women." Although embellished and frequently inaccurate, Treat It Gentle remains a staple account for the "insider's view of the New Orleans tradition."
Bechet died in Garches, near Paris, of lung cancer on May 14, 1959, his 62nd birthday, and is buried in a local cemetery.
Bechet played a jazz musician in three films, Serie Noire, L'Inspecteur connait la musique and, Quelle équipe!
His playing style was intense and passionate and had a wide vibrato. He was also known to be proficient at playing several instruments and a master of improvisation (both individual and collective). Bechet liked to have his sound dominate in a performance, and trumpeters found it difficult to play alongside him.
On June 25, 2019, The New York Times Magazine listed Sidney Bechet among hundreds of artists whose material was reportedly destroyed in the 2008 Universal fire.

Innovative Functional Regenerative Medicine
Innovative Medicine is about restoring your body and mind’s power to heal itself by tapping into your own healing potential. The art of medicine is to understand and to anticipate a dysfunctional organism to help restoring itself to its full potential. There is an inevitable link between physical and mental health. The human body reacts to emotional and mental stress and distress. Innovative medicine recognizes this. A variety of approaches and therapies are incorporated that include psychological and emotional factors. These factors are often – but not always – entangled with a need for lifestyle adjustments or spiritual therapies. Spiritual therapies may include spiritual counseling, meditation, consciousness practices, and more. Often health care professionals don’t give any attention to this factor. Spirituality has such a vast space of manifestation that only a few dare taking the risk to integrate it in their approach of healing. It’s linked to connections within the universe and a moderate understanding of our existence. Innovative Medicine understands the spiritual association when it comes to wellbeing and health. Spirituality is closely related to mental wellbeing. Researchers found that stress and depression are linked to a decreased immune response. These aspects leave the human body susceptible to disease and may be the ultimate cause of one’s illness. Innovative Medicine emphasizes lifestyle changes as a considerable and important part of living a healthy life. It can impact a person’s physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental state. In Innovative Medicine, lifestyle factors aren’t limited to diet and exercise. These factors also involve stress-related mechanisms, relationships, and psychological consequences associated with psycho-emotional therapy methods. A sense of purpose or a person’s general happiness may also contribute to disease or illness. Innovative Medicine takes everything into account. It recognizes that acupuncture, TCM, Reiki, ‘qi’ therapy types, Ayurveda, homeopathy, herbology, emotional techniques, spiritual practices, and therapeutic touch energy therapies benefit certain individuals. It also realizes that great advancements have been made in energy medicine. We live in a global world where the East meet the West and there should not be preferential therapies based on religious, philosophical, cultural or financial preferences. A Doctor works with the noble purpose to help a human being in moments of pain, disability and sickness to the best of his ability with the tools he has to his disposition under whatever circumstances. He will never act to purposely, consciously and willingly harm any human being. There is a very fine silver lining between what is called innovative and functional medicine. But in both we can observe a new born unique approach towards health and wellbeing. A honest whole evaluation that considers the human being as a complex organism where all internal mechanism are connected and function with each other as well with the outer world. It will be very difficult to create health in an ecological sick and destroyed planet. The goal of Functional Medicine is to promote health and vitality in each patient. Practitioners examine each patient’s lifestyle and unique biochemical factors to identify the underlying causes of their disease and find treatments that help return patients to optimal health. Functional Medicine is holistic, one clinician looks at all aspects of the patient and focuses on prevention and health promoting lifestyle changes with sustainable treatments that address the underlying causes of dysfunction. Restoring patients to health Functional Medicine addresses the underlying causes of disease, using a systems-oriented approach and engaging both patient and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership. It is an evolution in the practice of medicine that better addresses the healthcare needs of the 21st century.By shifting the traditional disease-centered focus of medical practice to a more patient-centered approach, Functional Medicine addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms.Functional Medicine practitioners spend time with their patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. In this way, Functional Medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual. Functional Medicine incorporates the latest in genetic science, systems biology, and understanding of how environmental and lifestyle factors influence the emergence and progression of disease. Functional Medicine enables physicians and other health professionals to practice proactive, predictive, personalized medicine and empowers patients to take an active role in their own health. The most important factors, and the ones we examine first when gathering information about the patient, are the foundational lifestyle factors; sleep, exercise, nutrition, stress levels, relationships, and genetics. These are the roots and soil, which are in turn influenced by specific predisposing factors (antecedents), discrete events (triggers), and ongoing physiological processes (mediators), and may then result in fundamental imbalances at the trunk. These can eventually result in the signs and symptoms that are grouped into a diagnosable constellation that we call disease. Functional Medicine is a systems biology–based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to an individual’s illness.A diagnosis can be the result of more than one cause. For example, depression can be caused by many different factors, including inflammation. Likewise, a cause such as inflammation may lead to a number of different diagnoses, including depression. The precise manifestation of each cause depends on the individual’s genes, environment, and lifestyle, and only treatments that address the right cause will have lasting benefit beyond symptom suppression. It is an approach to health care that conceptualizes health and illness as part of a continuum in which all components of the human biological system interact dynamically with the environment, producing patterns and effects that change over time.
