#dental hygienest

Something that I was thinking about recently is the skilled worker shortages (one that I'm aware of locally is dental hygienests, but I feel like anecdotally it is apparent in things like car repair also).

And it occurred to me--it used to be, if a (large) company is having a hard time hiring skilled workers, why does it seem like they are doing nothing about it?*

*I know why, because Think of The Investors!

But seriously why not have training programs? Why not fund the educational institutions and offer scholarships?

Maybe these things are happening by some companies and I'm not aware?

But honestly most companies seem downright excited to have fewer names on the payroll (just so long as they are selling shares!).

Makes no sense to me. There's certainly a balance between demand, production, and workers, but we are absolutely tipped in the wrong direction right now.

“In order for dentistry to do its part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the ADA recommends dentists nationwide postpone elective procedures for the next three weeks. Concentrating on emergency dental care will allow us to care for our emergency patients and alleviate the burden that dental emergencies would place on hospital emergency departments. “

- Some professions get lost in all of this Covid-19 chatter. The American Dental Association finally makes a statement to dentists. At this point, this is not a mandate, just a suggestion. 

If you, as a dental patient, have a non-emergency dental procedure scheduled, and you are worried for yourself or a loved one who is high risk for enduring the worst of this virus, do not be afraid to reschedule appointments if your dentist office does not reschedule for you. Most dental practices have a few month wait for appointments which can be awful. Having yourself or a loved one possibly catch this virus over a non-emergency procedure would be worse.

The Other Talk part 2 had me in stitches.... please tell me dinner only gets worse when Sakura asks if Sarada is sure she's knocked up(followed by a seething Sarada) and how far along she thinks she is. This of course places the event in question during a mission when Boruto and Sarada should have been far too occupied to distract each other. Forgive me... I just want to see more calamity ensue. I am a terrible human. I'm going to have to start writing fan fiction of your fan fiction.

Honestly, I haven’t really thought much about this particular plot line beyond a few laughs. I can’t really picture a ‘verse where Sarada gets pregnant at sixteen, even if it would be hilarious (I’m honestly thinking the scenarios that would ensue would come straight out of Reba. Sarada would be Cheyenne, Boruto would be Van, Sakura would be the sarcastic so-done-with-this Reba...only difference is I can never see Sasuke leaving Sakura for a dental hygienest with two first names... :P)

Anyhow, you are not a terrible human, I’m sure it would be funny. If you want, go ahead and continue this particular story, just as long as you credit me with starting you off ;). I’d be curious to see where you take it.
