You wished more had shown up so it didn’t look so obvious, but really you were cheering on the inside that it was just you and him, most people would have been worried being alone with a man in jail, especially with everything that was in the news about Dennis, but you had gotten to know him, he was a nice man, he just made a bad choice. You hadn’t told your friends about him because you knew how they would react, you would deal with that once he was out and had gotten back on his feet.

You had been the junior librarian in the state prison since you had gotten out of college, you loved your job and had gotten to know a lot of the men. You helped some to learn to read and write, helped them with their high school or college work, and you loved recommending novels to help them get through their day. When you first seen Dennis, his amazing green eyes watching you as you made your way around the library, he intrigued you, yes you had seen what had happened on the TV but if working in a place like this taught you anything, you never judged a book by its cover.

Dennis had been coming to the library everyday for the first month he had been there, picking the same poetry book, sitting at the same table and watched you, he finally asked you one day if there was another poetry book you could recommend and it bloomed from there.    

You were both sitting in the back corner of the library where the cameras couldn’t see. You were leaning into Dennis and he had his arm around you, his lips resting on your shoulder while you read to him for the monthly poetry reading that no one else had turned up for,

By the pricking of my thumbs, Something wicked this way comes. Open, locks, Whoever knocks!

You looked up at him kissing his cheeks.

 “I love when you read Shakespeare to me Y/N” Dennis pulled you into him peppering your face with kisses his other hand running up the inside of your leg making your giggle.

 “I can’t wait to read to you all night and I don’t need to leave” You smiled up at him.

 Dennis pulled back and took in a deep breath sighing, looking down at you,

 “What’s wrong? Say whatever you have to say”

 “I’ am just worried. My name is mud now. It’s going to take a lot to get back on my feet. What if it’s too much for you once I’ am out?”

 “Dennis” You adjusted yourself tucking your legs under yourself and facing him more “I'll stand by you. Do whatever you have to do to get back on your feet. I’ am not going anywhere.”  

 “You’re too good to me. But I did a bad thing. It’s going to be different once I’ am out in the world again, I don’t want to drag you into it, you’re too good. Your friends. Your family-“

 You cut Dennis off by putting your pointer finger on his lips,

 “You’re not a bad person Dennis, You know you never meant to do anything bad, you just made a bad decision and you have done your time for your crime”

 Dennis smiled big resting is forehead on yours,

 “I need your soul and I need your heart”

 “And you have both. I’ am so glad I found you Dennis. 3 more months” you cupped his cheek running your thumb over his cheek bone.

 Dennis wrapped his arms around you pulling you into him whispering in your ear,

 “I can’t wait to kiss you, What's to come is still unsure: In delay there lies no plenty; Then come kiss me, sweet and twenty, Youth's a stuff will not endure”

Storia di un vampiro claustrofobico

Jake è un attore. Dovrebbe interpretare un vampiro in un horror si derie B intitolato Il bacio del vampiro. Uso il condizionale perché c'è una piccola difficoltà. Per colpa di un trauma infantile, soffre di claustrofobia. E non basta: torna a casa della donna con cui convive e le trova mentre scopa con un altro. Il nostro sprofonda in una crisi nerissima. Lo aiuta un collega che non conosce. Chissà come mai si è comportato in maniera tanto altruistica... Omicidio a luci rosse è uno dei classicissimi di Brian De Palma. Gli ingredienti di questo regista ci sono tutti. Le apparenze (niente è come sembra). Il cinema che parla del cinema mostrandone i meccanismi. La descrizione di vizi e perversioni legati alla sessualità. Il cinema di genere. Omaggi sparsi dedicati al maestro Hitchcock. E parecchie altre cose. Credo non vi sia bisogno di dire altro. Spendiamo una manciata di parole sul cast. Parliamo di una giovane Melanie Griffith, prima che decidesse di contaminare chirurgicamente la propria configurazione anatomica. Il protagonista è Craig Wesson. Prima di vedere questo film, non lo conoscevo. Non ho ben capito quanti film abbia fatto. Personalmente l'ho rivisto in Nightmare 3 e da nessun'altra parte. Poi c'è Gregg Henry, che interpreta spesso il ruolo del cattivo. Io lo ricordo in Ballistic e Payback la rivincita di Porter. Chiudo con Dennis Franz, che noi conosciamo per il suo personaggio nella serie televisiva NYPD - New York Police Department. Ha lavorato altre volte con De Palma: Vestito per uccidere e Blow out. Non è vero che a volte ritornano. Lo fanno più spesso di quanto si pensi.

Arsenal menuntaskan transfer White pada hari Jumat (30/07/2021). The Gunners disebut memboyongnya dengan harga sekitar 50 juta pounds dari Brighton.

MANILA – Another Catholic prelate has recovered from coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

In a statement, the Archdiocese of San Fernando reported that Archbishop Florentino Lavarias was discharged from the hospital in the city on Saturday.

Lavarias thanked the doctors and hospital personnel who took care of him and those who prayed for him.

“I am now doing home quarantine. I thank all those who took care of me, the doctors and hospital personnel especially, our good governor Dennis Pineda and family, Fr. Sol Gabriel, Fr. Ric Serrano, Sister Remy, the countless people, my family, priests (esp Fr. Edgar), bishops, religious, seminarians, friends and lay leaders, etc., who had been praying for me,” he said.

“May God share with you all the graces and blessings that He continues to shower upon me at this very moment. Pasibayu pu, dakal a dakal a salamat kekayu ngan,” Lavarias added.

The head of the San Fernando archdiocese was taken to the hospital on February 27 after experiencing signs of Covid-19

“Apung Dong (Archbishop Lavarias) will continue his mandatory quarantine at his residence. His recovery is in time for his 64th birthday on March 14,” the statement added.

Lavarias is the ninth bishop that has been inflicted by the virus and has recovered from it.

Last month, Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma and Cebu Auxiliary Bishop-Emeritus Antonio Rañola have also recovered from the deadly virus.

However, two bishops -- retired Imus Bishop Manuel Sobreviñas and Lingayen-Dagupan Emeritus Archbishop Oscar Cruz -- died of the disease. (PNA)

Il regista tedesco ha già firmato alcuni film importanti come Alice nella città (1970) e L’amico americano (1977), con il suo amico americano Dennis Hopper. Tuttavia, è un regista ancora alla ricerca di se stesso. Morte di John Lennon. “Fermo la macchina. Vedo il traffico che scorre. So che è il momento decisivo della mia vita. Piango. Piango finché non esaurisco le lacrime. Ho perso la mia giovinezza, lì, quel giorno, in macchina, viaggiando verso Los Angeles”. Wenders va a New York. Tira fuori la Polaroid. Fotografa la massa di gente accorsa, sbigottita, al cospetto di Lennon. All’epoca, Wim Wenders, il regista in cerca di se stesso, faceva fotografie. Ne ha fatte tantissime. Tra il 1973 e il 1983 si contano almeno 12mila scatti. “Ne ho salvati poco più di 3mila. Gli altri, beh, li regalavo. Quelle fotografie non avevano uno scopo in sé, mi sono servite a trovare ispirazione per i miei film”. Il ruolo ‘maieutico’, per così dire, è risolto, risoluto: nel 1982 Wenders firma Lo stato delle cose, con cui ottiene il Leone d’oro a Venezia, nel 1984 termina Paris, Texas, premiato con la Palma d’oro a Cannes, nel 1987 lo stato di grazia giunge al culmine con Il cielo sopra Berlino (miglior regista a Cannes). “Rivederle oggi… sono la sana memoria di ciò che abbiamo perso – qualcosa che ha la necessità della nostalgia, della tragedia, forse. All’epoca, quegli scatti non erano dominati dalla rabbia, né dalla tristezza: non c’era altro che una nitida purezza”, dice Wenders a Sean O’Hagan, giornalista del Guardian. Oggi, questi scatti, sono una mostra, in atto dal 20 ottobre all’11 febbraio alla Photographer’s Gallery di Londra, come Instant Stories. Wim Wender’s Polaroids (qui). Le fotografie sono seppiate dai decenni, paiono affreschi in decomposizione: una macchina con la portiera aperta, esposta alle foreste dello Utah, nel 1977, un benzinaio del New Englad tumefatto dalla neve, nel 1972, un autoritratto di Wenders, nel 1975, mentre armeggia con la macchina fotografica, estatico come un angelo del Quattrocento senese. E ora? “Ora la cultura è cambiata, tutto è passato. Parliamo ancora di fotografia quando dovremmo sforzarci a usare un altro termine”. E la Polaroid? Wenders l’ha regalata a un’amica. Patti Smith. “Aveva una macchina uguale alla mia. Ma la sua non funzionava più”.
