A halfway decent sequel to the dirtbag favourite of a garbage crime genre Heat knock-off finally arrived—only set on the French-Italian coast this time around. Returning stars Gerard Butler and O'Shea Jackson Jr. (sporting a dubious French accent) are both back with more of a buddy comedy vibe than rivals chasing each other. It's mostly twisty heist fun with competing groups of criminals and cops culminating in most of the usual genre expectations met.

Second Character that'll be in the 2025 Movie Thread piece is Den of Thieves 2: Pantera's Donnie Wilson, played by O'Shea Jackson Jr.

.....You guys can put "Elijah The Cartoonist drawing Ice Cube's Son" in that list of "What I didn't Expect in 2025". But yeah, I saw the movie with my mom, and I thought it was a pretty cool movie. I haven't seen the first one, I don't recall if my mom has, but she wanted to see the movie because he was in it. But it was pretty good, I do wanna check out the first movie. And he was pretty cool too, which I think is expected for this guy.

So yeah, so far, we got Shadow "Keanu Reeves" The Hedgehog and now O'Shea Jackson Jr.

‘DEN OF THIEVES 3’ is officially in the works at Lionsgate.

Gerard Butler and O'Shea Jackson Jr. will return.

Den of Thieves 2, while overall being an okay movie, has one of the dumbest moments I’ve seen in a movie. The cop from the first movie meets the criminal mastermind. The criminal mastermind is obviously wary of him. Then, the cop says that he’s broke and he wants to be a criminal now. And the criminal just accepts this.

You see, that’s all Hank Schrader had to do to take down Gus Fring. He just needed to go to Gus, tell Gus that he knows he’s drug lord, and then say he’s broke and he wants a job.

Oh, but the movie does try to justify this moment by having the criminals put the cop through “a test”. What’s the test? Have him smoke PCP because cops don’t do that apparently. Because as well know, all cops never take illegal substances/hard drugs. I legitimately think Brian from Fast and Furious had a harder time infiltrating Dominic Toretto’s gang than the cop in Den of Thieves 2 did.
