Okay I feel like at first Jeff would pretend that he is not into you..who knows why? His own deep insecurities? Or he just doesnt like the idea of how flirty you are? You know, he usually is the one making first move and toying with others (making them obv uncomfy, he act like definition of "white straight good guy" lol). But no worries, he does find you absolutely cute, thinks you are prettiest person walking on earth (and you are all that actually). Listen, he wont magically turn into huge simp..but! you make him feel things. Congrats, you have high chance to broke Jeff and make him lovely-dovely on his weird way towards you! No matter if you are already in relationship with him or not, he gest pretty possesive and jealous over you! Come on, you cant be all pretty and cute AND have everyone all over you! People who adores you might end up dead before you will be able to kill them. Definitely would try threaten people to stop talking to you..its up to you if you find it cute or scary tho!

Jane the Killer

Jane gives me huge femme fatale vibes so i feel like you would really vibe together (no matter your gender)! And come on!! She understands the need of revenge like no one else!! Jane wants to beat Jeff ass! Adores you so much..not only you are absolutely gorgeous but also pretty smart too! Appearance matter in some way to her, but I think she would actually be into intelect and personality more than how you look like. And the fact that you are such a great manipulator!! You will make her fall in love with you even more. She is such a cutie im telling you! Jane is jealous but she puts that aside all that aside and she just worries about your yeah well technically you cant die, but what damage your brain will damage your brain and stay for long time! She doesnt want you to get hurt, even if you are doing the big scary job here!

Eyeless Jack

Demon partner with demonish partner? Isnt that perfect? Yeah yeah, you are diffrent from eachother but definitely have common ground, arent you? Dunno why but I feel like your charm wouldnt work on him just becasue of what he is. That doesnt mean that he doesnt find your ass cute tho! He just you know..its not really obsessive but more of actual feelings. Even if other pastas fell in love with your character too, then Jack would be a bit diffrent and at first fell for who you are and not what you look like! When it comes to possible of jealousity, he is not that much of envious about people who you flirt with/or they flirt with you! He clearly understands that you do it more for your..entertainment and to cause chaos (and maybe some sort of revenge). Also he is immortal, you are immortal - best couple to ever exist! You will spend eternity with eachother so he doesnt have anything to worry about!

"Ticci" Toby

Damn reader, you will break Toby! He gets so shy and so blushy around you.. Especially if you are flirting with him! Doesnt really like the idea of you and other people being a bit flirty. He gets jealous easly and it leads him to being insecure and doubtful of himself - he knows that he is not perfect, and all your actions make him even more anxious. Toby does care so much about your opinion so he just bottles it all up, not wanting to mess up even more! But I bet you are smart human being and feel that something is wrong. Just reassure him that you love him a lot and he is way diffrent than people you talk to (well, he is in fact atill alive, isnt he) and he is good to go!

BEN Drowned

Ben is Ben, not a simple thought in his head. Yeah kidding, but he just cant help but simp over you so so much! Like he is down on his knees at your service the second he sees you! Dont get me wrong, you are not only what you look like but its the first thing he notices about you! It would be almost too easy to manipulate him, but we dont do that here..(at least I hope so). Anyway, he literally worships you, you are the most good-looking person out here! And he is a ghost, he has seen a lot. About your habit of flirting around and then watchin somebodys downfall? I cant say he is not jealous, but he wont show it. Also finds your actions pretty funny. Who doest like to see someone dying becasue of their stupidy? Yeah, definitely not Ben, loves the chaos you cause.

Cody enjoyes how flirty you are! Okay well, maybe he only enjoys that if you are flirty with him! For real, you get him all giggly and blushy to be honest. Its so easy to tease him and so fun to look at! Propably tries his best to do the same but fails miserably. Your relationship give me a bit of nerd x popular partner vibe lol! You know, he literally spends half of his time in lab or studying for fun + Cody propably stinks. Now here you are, having such a mesmerizing appearance!! (You are fun to be around to, lets not be so vain!) . At the same time he asks many question, its just in his nature to enjoy knowing things. He just cant help but wonder what or who are you..but who wouldnt want to know that?..And please try to get idea of testing you or making small experiments out of his small silly head!! He is weirdo like that! But at the end of a day he is your weirdo!

Ok I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt like SMTV had crazy nationalism vibes. That & how Nuwa was designed to wear a more or less fetishy version of a Hanfu (as Doi claims on his tweet about her design), not to mention how she plays pet to Yakumo, who’s Yasunori Kato inspired design was translated to a Japanese Policeman’s… everything about it skeeved me out!

I really did have to laugh at most things the Prime Minister had to say after the Bethel conference. Total mask off moment. But despite his pro-Japan slant, it didn't feel as egregious to me this time around because the pacing of the story becomes so rushed it becomes like a parody of the nationalism we've seen before in the series and is hard to take seriously. But that doesn't mean it's not there.

Re: Nuwa and being fetishy, it's made me think about the way that she and a some of the other new female demons fail to emphasize their "otherworldly" nature. For example, Doi said this in the Nuwa comment:

There's nothing about them that visually symbolizes they are anything but humans. Granted, Nuwa's skin is perhaps a little too white and she's got that second form (she barely spends any time in), though the snake emerging from the top of head can only ever make me see the (poor quality body horror warning) Channard Cenobite.

But on this topic there are what you might call successes:

Anahita's body has water flowing through it, which tells you she is divine. Abdiel's skin is an unnatural color, plus she has wings. Cleopatra continues to be the worst example for anything but the snake explosion on her arm at least says she's not a regular human, that is until they conveniently disappear when she's touching herself during her special animation.

But these various and sundry techniques to make demons seem more than human is important to their visual symbolism as a whole in the series. It's why Nuwa & co. seem so pedestrian in comparison. Kaneko demons that are otherwise naked and sexualized almost always include the same kind of "unnatural" element:

Ishtar has her asymmetrical horns, Cybele has horns and her colorful skin patterns, Asherah has white skin nearly the same shade as Nuwa but has that pattern.

Another point in Nuwa's favor is that she has golden eyes, off-color just like most older demons' (reflecting when their eyes flashed as SFC sprites), but in SMT5's context that's the same color as Yakumo's, who is demonish but still considered mostly human by the needs of the plot, so who knows what that means. But between that, unnatural skin tones and patterns, body effects, non-human anatomy, etc., Nuwa, Artemis, and Idun could have been a lot more successful at being SMT demons. Granted, there's a lot more to effective design than just these examples.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one feeling that way. Why is she chill with all of his nonsense? Why does she further validates it? That preview is giving some serious bad vibes. I don't care for Soo Hyuk owning up to his mistakes because it's clear that it's getting to him too now that he realizes he broke families like his was broken. But if they only destroy his career and further prop JB, making him die as a heroic character that 'saves' Sa Bin, I swear I'll be pissed. Dude gotta pay too. Please don't further demonish SH just to prop JB up to sell us a freaky ass romance.

i want to start that i wholeheartedly agree with every contribution to this post, and it warms my heart to see how chill everyone is. RPS is fun, but there are boundaries and rules, be wary.

i’d like to point out that there is nothing wrong with shipping real people, as there is nothing wrong with not-shipping real people. both of these groups, in the fandoms i’ve interacted with, are incredibly respectful toward each other and toward the real people involved.as shadowedlove said, act like it doesn’t exist around them. stay in the corners of the shippers, don’t wander on the main tags.

there, like in many fandoms with real people involved, are groups called antis too. (they’re not the demonish personas of real people that i’ve seen before in like the markiplier-world? i don’t know i’m not in that fandom). the antis i’m talking about are people that are specifically against the ship. these people will lash out to shippers for enjoying what they’re doing. personally i’ve quite a bunch of negative experiences with antis. i feel as though they are trying to show how good they are of a person by being ‘respectful’ toward the people involved, but forget to be that same type of respectful toward the fancreators in the process.

the antis i’ve seen are probably responsibale for creating more shipping-related-content in the fandom, than the actual shippers are.

ship it, don’t ship it, whatever floats your boat. but regardless of your preference, do not ever bash other people for liking what they do. i support all shippers - when you’re respectful toward the people, don’t tag them, only stay in your corners, stuff like that - and i support all non-shippers.

i do not vibe with antis. 

if you’re in a real person fandom, and don’t have a real person ship, that;s super valid but let those who do, do whatever they want.

I think I'm starting to have a small interest in RPF? Honestly, I'm kind of freaked out, since I have no idea what the RPF fandom is actually like, though I figure at least most of them aren't like the bad stories you hear about (that's the case in most fandoms, really). I don't want to be creepy. I don't know what to do here.

So the thing about RPF is that it’s shipping real people... but only kind of. 

As fans, we never see the actual real person. We see whatever version of themselves that they choose to put out publicly. A lot of the time, that’s very similar to their regular self. But it’s still a persona. I’m not as calm and thoughtful in my everyday life as I attempt to be on this blog, for example.  Public figures when they are in public are playing a version of themselves, and that’s what people ship. 

Don’t freak out about it, anon. It’s fine. Most people who ship RPF know that it’s not real. They have no desire to talk to the actual people and tell them that they ship them with their best friend or whoever. A lot of them are frankly horrified by the idea of the people they ship finding out about it. A lot of RPF fic on AO3 is locked so that only people who are logged in can see it because RPF fans don’t want outsiders seeing it outside of the fannish context where we all know it’s not real and it’s just for fun. 

There are, as in all groups, people who forget the rules or get really invested. That happens in any human endeavor. You already know where the line is, and you’re the only person you can actually control. Stay within your own comfort zones and you should be fine. 

RPF fans, feel free to add things in the notes - and let me know if I’ve got you wrong. I’ve never actually posted RPF so this is my understanding of the rules from the outside.

I get people who want to chat and their like I am kin or vampyre and lonely.

Well, duh our sub culture or culture is known for being very lonely, but You’re some demonish looking avatar and probably are a fat blimpy dude in real life, or you have some other sort of fetish or issue.

I do not want men that can’t get laid, either because their ugly and or shy or weirdo or anything. This is not sexually stimulating for you to be trying to get with me just because I have a nice enough looking face and seem to be related to your community.

I am not something that has an X side, I am just the X entirely. I mean I still like people do, I eat I drink, I bathe. and I like shopping sometimes and house work. I am not alone now because I got burned by some bastard.

I am not one that loves and then lets go because it was not right to do so.

You can’t just let go some things - no matter what. No matter who. No matter how. I know I tried that too. You can’t switch lanes with someone else and pretend to love them just like the other. It does not work. Different bond, chemistry, vibe. If you don’t know this then you’re not really awake, you’re not even yourself. It’s just real.

I can’t fuck someone else because he won’t come back - hell he ain’t gone! Was he ever gone before? Even when it was rocky and it was mean? No, he wasn’t then either, so I am not going to sell out and be with someone else, when he is all I ever need! Because I did that then so I know whom I let down and I am not cutting myself off from anything else. I am OVER it. I am OVER the way we treated one another, but I am not looking for him to sweep back in and love me either. It is a dynamic, and that is what is - we vibe whenever we talk, hang out etc. 

He is mr, i am famous and am a cold vampyre and I don’t need this thing right now. I understand that and ain’t chasing him. (and I ain’t either) and if we run into one another and we talk cool and if not cool and then I am fine on my own until we meet or see one another again. I know its weird but it went on before, and we were incapable of learning much on it but now thats not true.

It’s not ego. Its not just sex. Its not an excuse to feed. I do not do that with people. Your not a milk jug. That’s how I feel there is no way to replace HIM. I don’t need to do that. That is why I am not looking. I do not need too. Five years, 10 years... it doesn’t matter. It’s not a one flame, two flame, red flame blue flame. It is the Flame.
