Lodr: Sexuality Headcanon: bi, very very bi. Gender Headcanon: honestly never thought about it? but i’d go for either cis or trans woman. A ship I have with said character: haha. hahaha. ha. i might be into Lodrith? just a little? A BROTP I have with said character: Actually loved her interactions with Edwyne - and I’m really interested in her estranged (and still overcontrolling/protective) relationship with her kids. Also I’d be so here for Menedhel working as Lodr’s assistant/secretary - they’d be a match made in heaven. A NOTP I have with said character: I feel like I’d be able to ship anything with her. ToL is so blissfully untainted by discourse, I somehow can let myself ship p much anything to some degree. A random headcanon: Lodr would like to be more straight-forward with her children, but it’s nigh impossible for her to not be too controlling / trying to steer them on certain paths that are totally better for their future or to go about her affection to them in other ways than scheming behind their back to assure their safety. After ToL especially, she writes them letters and keeps the ones that they write back. General Opinion over said character: Lodr is a delight, I love a character who enjoys and revels in being a magnificent villain and would swirl a glass of red wine with a knowing, victorious smirk while wearing luxurious fur-adorned coats. She knows what she’s about and I honestly respect that so much about her.

Ati: Sexuality Headcanon: gay. I usually switch between demisexual/grey ace or ace, or not ace at all. Gender Headcanon: i’m here for any kind of trans / genderqueerness, but i also stan him being a cis man and wearing make up and jewelry so much. A ship I have with said character: oh, you know. Prideshipping. :D My other OTP is Mahado/Ati, and Mahado/Ati/Seth. Ati/Jou is also really good. A BROTP I have with said character: Yugi and Ati, Anzu and Ati, Jou and Ati! A NOTP I have with said character: Not really...? I have mixed feelings on Ati/Yugi, but it’s still a good ship. A random headcanon: I feel like I’ve written about most of hcs already...? Happy (Belated) Pride Month!

🧡Taichi - Bisexual ~ Taichi is the type of guy to love everyone, you know? I feel like in terms of romance, he’d rather just have someone that he truly loves, and wouldn’t worry about the gender. (also, he lowkey had a crush on Sora and Yamato). 

💙Yamato - Demisexual ~ Yamato is the type to only develop romantic feelings only under specific circumstances, like emotionally bonding after saving the world multiple times or something.

❤Sora - Lesbian ~ As Sora's mom seems very conservative (making her daughter quit a male-dominated hobby for something more feminine), so I feel that Sora wouldn't talk openly with her about her crushes on girls. It isn't until that she joins the tennis team that she finds another girl questioning herself. Sora, still, is pretty lowkey about any girlfriends she has (her mom still doesn't know!!)

💜Koushiro - Queer ~ Koushiro isn’t one to put labels on himself, and is open to finding a partner. He just wants to fall in love and have semi-philosophical conversations late into the night. 

💚Mimi - Bisexual ~ Mimi loves girls so much?? and boys are so cute?? She was the first of the Chosen to publicly come out, though most of them already knew after she drunkenly made out with Miyako one night. 

🖤Jou - Graysexual ~ Jou is too busy to focus on sexual desire or love, though one day he would like to. For now, he identifies as graysexual, which suits him just fine. 

💛Takeru - Pansexual ~ All Takeru has ever wanted is to be in love. He wants to find someone with similar interests and a good sense of humor; gender does not matter. The boy just wants cuddles and hot chocolate.

💓Hikari - Bi-curious ~ Out of all the Chosen, Hikari is the most introspective. She knows herself well, and while she hasn't met a female that she is romantically attracted to, she keeps her mind open to the possibility.

But it's when Ken opens up to him for the first time fully - about Osamu and the Dark Ocean - that it clicks. Though Ken has snot running down his face and his eyes are all swollen, the sight of him takes Daisuke's breath away. (And he also smells like lavender, which is a plus!)

❤💚Miyako - Bisexual ~ Spending quality time with Sora and Mimi lead to her sexual awakening. Miyako had always been boy crazy (she's had a crush on every single Chosen guy - except Iori) ((Please don't ask about her Daisuke phase, it's too soon)). Found you via your recent Jounouchi/Kaiba post -- it's also my dream that YGO will get a shiny reboot, and this pairing will get a fandom revival. I recently fell down a dark fannish set of stair and had a hankering for Jou/Kaiba -- any recs?

Hi there! Good to meet a fellow Yu-Gi-Oh / violetshipping fan!

I admit, I’m a bit sparse on recommendations, but one fic I’ve just started reading and am enjoying is Business as Usual by Filling_the_Empty / @eeeartandgarbage. It features Kaiba and Jounouchi (or Joey, as the fic uses the English names) as young adults who have chilled out a little bit compared to where they were as teenagers, but still in my opinion are very in-character to what was established in the original series. It’s easy for me to see the original anime characterizations reflected in these older versions of the characters, unlike in something like Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which in my opinion wrote members of the original cast in ways that made them unrecognizable as the characters we knew and loved. I also adore the angle the fic has taken with Kaiba and Joey’s respective sexualities, depicting Joey as both bisexual and a little more sexually and romantically experienced (which suits his character, given his intra- and interpersonal intelligence) and Kaiba as unknowingly demisexual, making him a bit uncomfortable with and clueless about sexual relationships (which, honestly, also suits his character – Kaiba never showed any flickers of romantic or sexual interest in anyone in the show, instead being solely focused on looking after Mokuba, winning games, and running his company). And really, coming from someone who identifies with the ace side of the spectrum herself, it’s kind of neat to see Kaiba exploring his sexuality through his relationship with Joey. Plus even if Kaiba and Joey get along better here than in canon, when Kaiba screws up, Joey doesn’t easily forgive him – he makes him acknowledge his mistakes and express his feelings properly, even if it’s hard…and when Joey himself screws up, he likewise acknowledges it and tries to put things right. Although Yugi and the others aren’t as involved in the story as much as I might like, Mokuba is a major character and we get to see him living an adult life both alongside and yet separate from his brother’s, which is cool. The fic’s incomplete, but I look forward to seeing where it might go from here!

Ever since first witnessing the Tokyo battle that fateful night, Jou's life has been intertwined with Digimon. He'd at first denied that the kaiju-like encounter happened. After all, he was raised by a bluntly realistic - even if kind and supportive - father and had two older brothers that teased him for a few weeks after the initial event. The therapist he briefly saw for PTSD counseling assured him that he'd imagined the beasts as he was too young to fathom witnessing a terrorist attack, and he was quick to accept it. However, summer camp several years later brought the truth in the form of his first experience with a Digigate. While cowardly and wary of all creatures at first, Jou grew into the role of older brother figure and responsible one amongst his circle of best friends. He'd at first pursued medical school but, after a heart to heart with his father, found that he was more interested with animals rather than people and ended up going to a veterinary college instead. Between courses and exams Tai, Izzy, Yolei, and himself founded the DDoS Network, seeking to improve the Digital World by fortifying Homeostasis as well as improving the connection between humans and monsters. He helped orchestrate the mainframe reboot and is now feverishly working on bringing the Department's Digimon back to par when not nursing tamers and their partners.

•He is often charged of organising and curating all the events at Royal Sword, and he is very proud of that
