There’s only four ghouls that are allowed to join the ghoulettes Friday spa and wine nights

Mountain, Rain, Dewdrop and Delta

Mountain and Rain get all the gossip because people just like to rant to the quiet ones… also their joints get achy sometimes so they appreciate the massages and lotions

When the ghoulettes found out how painful changing elements were they all collectively agreed to invite Dewdrop and Delta;

Dewdrop at first was suspicious,

why all of a sudden was he allowed to join when he wasn’t before? What did they want from him?

He refuses to join the first few weeks until Cirrus literally threw him over her shoulder and carried him into their room. He was shocked when he clocked his eyes onto Mountain who was in a green coloured face mask completely blissed out, wine in hand

Delta was the same as Dew, Why on earth would the ghoulettes want him? He’s not worthy of this?

He knew that Mist would disappear some nights and then come back drunk as anything but he never expected this. He also refused to join for weeks but he would notice how the girls and three of copias ghouls would stare at him.

One night while working alone late in the infirmary, the two beefiest ghouls, Omega and Aether walked in and grabbed Delta by the arms and feet and carried him down to where the girls were waiting. He wasn’t happy of course but he soon warmed up to it

Delta who never felt at home in their own body

Delta who looked up to Omega and wanted to be like him

Delta who goes through an elemental shift

Delta whos body cant keep up with the rapid changes and intense magic

Delta who constantly feels fatigued and foggy brained

Delta who is noticeably deteriorating

Delta who constantly gets into arguments with Omega and Alpha now

Delta who doesn't feel at home in their own body and now in their own family

Delta who feels regret for what they did to themself not for how it is effecting them but for how its effecting his pack

Delta who spends hour-less nights in the archives

Delta who takes notes and journals about his experiences

Delta who wants to go home to the hellish seas

Delta who becomes more and more absent during the day, hidden away in the archives with their nose in book after book

Delta who becomes lighter by the day, the quintessence trapped in their body eating its way out

Delta who doesn't emerge from the archives for days on end

A pack who ventures down to their packmates favorite place

A fire ghoul who is baffled when the archivists say Delta is not down here

A quintessence ghoul with dread and guilt building in his stomach

A family who has to come to terms with the fact they could not help while their other half wasted away

A cold, dark library forever reeking of quintessence and sorrow

A ramble of poorly directed dialogue where someone talks about Deltas decline after having an experimental ritual used om him, and quint magic rejecting his vessel.

I forget who originally had the idea of this, I'm sorry I can't even find the posts I had saved of it 🙃

I have and have had a lot of ideas on this topic and have been tempted to write something real with it but idk

"Delta is, well he's not himself anymore. If he is he's stuck inside a vessel that doesn't work. The quint corrupted him. We don't know what went wrong with ritual or if the element just- just rejected him or what happened."

"He's pack. He still is and will always be. It doesn't matter the mental decline. It doesn't matter if he's just, just that. He's still pack"

"We warned you. We warned you elements don't mix. Not artificially. You can't shove quintessence into a waters vessel. That's not how we work!"

"The scriptures were all there! They all show that it's possible"

"But why'd it have to be him?! My Delta, my mate?! We have plenty of water ghouls around why him?!"

"It needed to have a level of trust. Part of the process is trusting the caster to manipulate the vessel."

"I don't care what you're fucking scriptures say. You fucked up. He's gone. I can't even feel him through our bond. He's dead. DEAD. And you're still here. In power. Without consequence. This is a joke. A sick, sick joke. I'm done. I'm fucking done. This whole project, I'm done. Banish me, banish him with me. We'll make our way in the pits far away from this mistake."

I'm certainly thinking about it.

Omega and alpha are the worst offenders. Its utterly bad behavior on their part - hunting on tour when they know better and should be setting a good example for the new summons.

Omega, who lures unsuspecting humans into the trap with his charm and friendliness. Alpha who puts in all the physical effort for him.

Alpha and omega who get back on the tour bus bloody and sluggish, with scraps for the rest of the pack.

Delta, who mimics their bad behavior and then passes it onto Dew.

water ghoul headcanons!

-introverted and quiet, like to keep to themselves

-hard of hearing, their ears are folded in a way to keep water out, so most water ghouls wear a hearing aid when on stage

-they run super cold! Their bodies are usually cold and slick, they smell like sea water.

-theyre great swimmers and need to return to water periodically, so their bodies stay healthy.

-water ghoul magic: control over states of water, healing magic and pressure control.
