actually, hagrid carrying harry after he died in the forest was on purpose. jk rowling said she always pictured it like that. hagrid was the one who introduced harry to the wizarding world (and carried him as a baby) and he was the one to carry him out (or it was something like that i dont really remember the exact words lmao)

I feel like I read that too like I'm 90% sure that I have, but I see so much on tumblr too I eventually forget what is real JK Rowling info vs. what I see on here lol. I mean I think that the importance of that symbolism is made glaringly obvious, but I see it glossed over a lot, especially on tumblr. I've always loved the parallel between Hagrid carrying him as a baby and then again after he died in the forest. It's just so important to me and to the dynamic between Hagrid and Harry, and just how much Hagrid loved him. Harry was one of the most important people in Hagrid's life, he was like a son. I feel like too many people are always talking about Snape and Sirius, but never about Hagrid. Hagrid has always been one of my favorite characters and I get so upset when people disregard him because to me he was the best adult figure in Harry's life. And he just did it because he genuinely cared about him like there were no specific reasons behind it or ulterior motives it was just his amazingly high level of kindness. I wish more people talked about Hagrid. He was the first character that I just instantly fell in love with even I remember reading the book as a kid when he dropped off baby Harry with tears in his eyes and then the way he came and sort of rescued him from the Durseley's to take him to Hogwarts. We all need a Hagrid in our lives tbh haha
