Genshin girls: Dehya, noelle, Eula, Shenhe, Kujou Sara. Ayaka And Yae Miko
Reacting to S/O’s mom leaning close to S/O and not so quietly asking when she should she expect grandchildren
(Genshin Impact) Dehya, Noelle, Eula, Shenhe, Sara, Ayaka, and Yae being asked THAT question by S/O's parents
(Source: Yuushibadesu on twitter)
Dehya laughed at the question and S/O's reaction, as they hurriedly tried to shush their mother.
(Dehya) "Hm...I'll just get back to you on that one!"
However, she does start thinking about it after the dinner.
Kids? She had so much to do to truly live up to the legend of the Lion, and having a kid was not on the agenda.
Dehya isn't sure she's ready for kids anytime soon, or if she would ever be. But, always time later to think about that, right?
(Noelle) "Kids?!"
Noelle is way too young to be thinking about that!
She's just as flustered as S/O, watching the mother only laugh at their reactions.
(Noelle) "I'm far too busy, ma'am! I have to be accepted into the Knights of Favonius, and then there'll be so much to do afterwards!"
It's a topic she shoves into the back of her mind. Kids are the furthest thing from her agenda of things to do.
...Well, at least S/O's mother approved of her.
Eula almost chokes on her food upon hearing the question.
(Eula) "A-Ah...kids?"
She tries to recollect herself and clears her throat.
(Eula) "I am glad you approve of me that much, ma'am but...Kids are not in my foreseeable future. I have many responsibilities to attend to as a Knight of Favonius."
Though honestly, she's using her position as an excuse not to talk about it.
First she'd have to get the approval of Mondstadt so her kid wouldn't get bullied, which would be impossible.
But, the hurdle of the parents approving of her was passed it seemed.
(Shenhe) "Grandchildren?"
Funnily enough, Cloud Retainer had asked the same thing when Shenhe brought S/O to meet her.
And she still has the same answer.
(Shenhe) "I do not know."
She's not entirely opposed, but not in favor either.
Before anything else, Shenhe wants to feel emotions without the red string inhibiting her violent impulses.
Kids can come later.
That does not stop S/O's mother, or Cloud Retainer from asking constantly, however.
Sara completely halts when she processes what S/O's mother had said.
(Sara) "G-Grandchildren...?!"
Her professional air is shattered for the briefest moment before responding.
(Sara) "Until Inazuma is fully stabilized, I'm afraid children is out of the question. I would like them to be raised when we can all rest easy, ma'am."
Sara is a little flustered, but she meant what she said.
Until everyone's safe, there can be no rest.
...She did wonder how much of her Youkai blood would be part of their child, however.
Ayaka spits out her drink and coughs violently, being completely taken off guard.
(Ayaka) "A-Ah, please forgive the mess!" COUGH "i-I was not ready for such a question!"
Ayaka apologizes profusely while her cheeks did their best impression of a tomato.
She barely had time for herself, let alone S/O! The last thing she wanted to do was neglect their own child!
For now? Kids are absolutely out of the question.
(Yae) "Hm, that is a rather good question S/O. When are we having kids?"
Yae gives a dangerous and teasing smile to S/O, tilting her head and enjoying the reaction of their pride dying on the inside.
In all fairness, Yae doesn't particularly care for children at this very moment.
It would add excitement to her life to be sure, but there were...more serious matters when it came to that question.
Such as Yae herself outliving S/O. Would their child live as long as her, or would she outlive them too?
Regardless, that was not the topic to bring up at a family dinner, so she lets those thoughts go unsaid.

Which character do you think will be the easiest and hardest for the Creator to rizz up?(sagau)
You don’t understand how excited I got when I saw this in my inbox 💀
In my version of SAGAU there is not one being that doesn’t worship you. Some are more tame when it comes to their worship, while others will straight up kill for you.
While none of them are opposed to being with you romantically, some will definitely play hard to get.
So here’s a few characters;
Easiest ⬇️
Childe: Definitely falls into the category of killing for you. Wants any attention you’ll give him so expect his clinginess to skyrocket once you start flirting with him. Also the type to rub in others faces that you favor him over others.
Abyss! Twin: Completely downbad for you but can’t really spend time with you since when the other acolytes see you associating with anything related to the abyss, they’ll intervene.
Xiao: Even being in your presence makes his face grow red but if you flirt too much he gets really flustered and teleports away. Regrets it later because he could’ve spent more time with you.
Kaeya: Flirts with you but the second you flirt back with him he’s surprised and says how you’re gonna make him blush.
Diluc: Anytime the two of you interact he always keeps it professional… gets flustered when you flirt with him but always turns the conversation back to business about Mondstadt.
Yae Miko: She’d be the one making you flustered not the other way around. Try your hardest but it’ll never work she will always beat you in this “game.”
Hardest ⬆️

Another anon asked how jealous they can get and I thought it be best to add it to this one.
Unbothered. They’re happy to have your attention on them but won’t get jealous if you’re interacting with someone else. Are completely aware where they stand with you and they know you’ll be back eventually so they’ll just wait patiently: Rosaria, Kazuha, Itto, Yoimiya, Yae Miko, Dehya, Venti, Heizou
Rational. You’re their God and they cannot keep you to themselves 24/7 even if they want to. They are smart enough to realize that you will have to interact with other people for the betterment of Teyvat. (Don’t be surprised if they are watching or have other people watching you to make sure the conversation isn’t anything but business though): Ningguang, Alhaitham, Dottore, Tighnari, Pierro, Keqing, Kujou Sara, Kamisato Ayato
Worried. Thinks with their emotions rather than their head, they believe you might replace them as your favorite because they aren’t worthy of your attention or because of how busy they are: Xiao, Kamisato Ayaka, Kaveh, Sucrose, Raiden Ei, Kaeya
Angry. But they’ll never be angry at you because you are their dearest God. They think that the person who is stealing your attention from them is at fault and will most likely threaten them to stay away from you once you aren’t around. Wants your attention to themselves and is not afraid to express explicitly: Childe, Scaramouche, Arlecchino, Shenhe, Abyss! Twin, Raiden Shogun (during Vision Hunt Decree)
-
Note: I had to read Kaveh’s character wiki so I can get a better understanding of him since I don’t have him and I haven’t played Genshin consistently in like two months, but reading his story made me so sad 😭🙏

Forced proximity
Prompt: forced to take shelter together from various environmental hazards, how will they handle being so close to you?
Characters: Shenhe, Diluc, Chevreuse, Dehya, Kaeya, Zhongli
Chevreuse
“My musket is waterproof, so we won’t be stopped with the rain.” She said as you ran with her to find shelter. You two had been trying to set up a trap for local criminals using you, a newbie as bait with her in the shadows. Normally you would be against this but you had actually used this before and you didn’t end up with even a scratch from it. As long as Chevreuse was the one you were working with, it was fine.
“I’m more worried about the hypothermia personally.” You complained. Your dainty dress was by no means waterproof. Infact it acted like a sponge, you would be warmer snuggling with cryo slimes than in this getup.
“Over there! There’s a ship wreck, that could offer some shelter if we’re lucky.” She said. The shipwreck seemed recent, probably from the flood of fontaine which displaced many. It seemed this one was relatively in good condition, rust only starting to form on its metal exterior. You ran in with her as you two quickly sought to remove your wet exterior clothes. “We’ll have to remove your dress, sorry if that’s uncomfortable but its just too drenched.” You were a bit surprised but understood.
“Yes I know, just give me sometime.” You said. It wasn’t easy but you knew it had to be done. What made it more difficult was how it clung to you. Hiding behind a broken wall, you undressed to your underwear. You looked to see if she was watching but she had her back turned, trying to get a fire started. You began to squeeze the water out, trying to not get it on you in the process. Next time you should ask for a jacket when she approaches you with the disguise.
“Are you done yet.”
“Almost.. there’s alot of water in this.” You groaned. You noticed she had successfully started a fire. Making sure to isolate it from any flammable objects. You were so cold at that point you just draped your wet dress over your self and sat a bit away from her.
“that bad huh. I’ll just keep my eyes elsewhere then.” She said. “I didn’t think it’d rain today, especially considering how warm it was a second ago.”
“That dastardly hydro dragon. Someone should give them emotional support animal at this rate.” you cursed under your breath.
“It’s probably that one ongoing trial with the serial killer. He’s go a bastard of a lawyer who’s really good at loopholes. Supposedly the final trial is today.”
“They’re not letting that pyscho back out surely?!” You jolted.
“Relax, all it takes is one slip up and he’s got no defense then. Besides, Neuvillette will definitely not let him go if he still considers him guilty.”
“You’re right but considering I fit the bill for his primary victims i can’t exactly sleep soundly until his head is off or he’s imprisoned! I wish Furina was still in the courts, she would’ve never let that man get this far.”
“I’m sure she has her own reasons, but considering how much help you’ve been I’m not going to let you go unguarded. I’ll schedule patrols by your district more and by your areas.”
“You would do that for me? I’m impressed. I didn’t know I did such a good job at being a damsel for hire.” You snickered.
“I mean it. Oh and by the way, your clothes look dry now.” She said. You almost forgot about that.
“Oh, give me a second.”you went back behind your wall to redress yourself, this time leaving the hoop skirt out of it.
“If you’re still cold we should huddle together. That way we can share body heat.” She said as you approached her once more. “My body is warmer than usual because of my vision after all”
“I’ll take you up on that offer then.” You smiled sitting much closer to her than she might’ve expected. “Do you mind a bit of cuddling?”
“With you? No.” She said, her arm wrapped around you almost on instinct. “You’re a bit more special than other people to me.”
“Do you tell that to every damsel you hire?” You tease.
“Oh god of course not! What do you think I am?” She cackled. “You make it sound like you’re some.. prostitute!”
“I am selling my body technically.” You added, jokingly, your head resting on her shoulders almost by instinct.
“Why did you take up that offer anyways? You have a good job, enough to live on the surface anyways.”
“Because I wanted to get stuck in the rain with you obviously! But in seriousness.. i uhh.. had a loan i had to pay and i spent a good majority on my paycheck already. So i needed fast cash and i saw the paper and i took it.” You explained.
“Huh, you sure you weren’t trying to hit on me? Because you were eyeing me during that little training session.” She adds.
“If that’s what you would like it be then yes I was hitting on you.” You said, your eyes trailed to her cheeks to catch a glimpse of her blushing face.
“Hm… I guess you were then.. lets get some rest.. the rain should let up by then.”
You couldn’t help feeling delightful that you finally broke her cold exterior. And with your body so close to hers, you truly felt victorious.
Diluc
“There. Its not much but it should offer some shelter in the meantime.” He said pointing to a old caravan. The roof of it was intact. You two quickly hid under there. Quickly finding your bodies pressed against each other.
“S-sorry.. i can’t move over any more.” You said nervously. But In reality, you didn’t want to move from his warm body at all. It felt like laying on a warm patch of sunlight.
“Its fine. I’ve been told I’m warm enough already. Here.” He took off his jacket, wrapping it across you.
“Thank you… and thank you for saving me from those hilichurls earlier too.” Your heart was racing, it sounded like his was too.
“Its nothing. Those knights, they were supposed to clear the area for merchants.” He scowled.
“Well, it was my fault for making the delivery without a jacket. I should’ve taken Sara’s advice and gone the long way. Its a good thing I still have it.” You managed to pull out the food in question, it was just a simple chicken skewers.
“I suppose you won’t be able to deliver it now, there’s no harm in having it if you’re hungry.” He said. But you offered it to him.
“Have one, you must be hungry. I can’t imagine its easy wielding a claymore on a empty stomach.. besides, there’s already one for myself”
“Why did they order chicken skewers, its the most simple dish to make?” He said almost judge-mentally.
“Well its a special one, we used a marinade for the chicken, try it.” You again offered it to him. He took it. You watched his eyes light up. “Good right? It would be better if it was warm.”
“I’m sure could try it while stopping by.”
“That sounds nice… you’re really warm by the way..” you blurt out. He looks surprised.
“I hope so. Are you warm too?” He asked. You nod.
“We should wait out the storm. I’m sure it shouldn’t be too long.” He said, you realized his face has been red this whole time.
“Although.. My winery isn’t too far from here.. but you said your foot hurt right?”
“I did earlier yes. I might’ve sprained it.” You sigh. “It feels fine now.”
“Hmm… that’s no good. Lets wait until it lightens up then. I can’t risk you injuring yourself further now.”
“I-if you want you could go ahead. It might be better so you’re not stuck out here too.” You say. He seems upset at the idea.
“Absolutely not. You could freeze to death. Lets stay here where I can keep you safe.” His words stuck out to you. Is it possible that he meant that in a more romantic context? Are you just overthinking it?
“I-I’m getting rather tired though.. I almost just want to sleep..” you said. Your eyelids felt a bit heavy, he was just… so warm, his body pressed up against you.. his arms around you… you hoped you would feel this again.
“I’ll keep watch. Just rest a little bit.” He said. As you drifted off to sleep you noticed a light kiss on your head.
“Cute.” He mumbled to himself.
Dehya
“Ugh! I’m so sick of the sand.” You and Dehya were taking shelter inside a cave, you were a professor at the Akademiya, you came out to the desert to study the giant ruin machines so you could do a lesson on them only to get caught in a sandstorm. Lucky for you, Dehya who you had hired, was well versed in the desert.
“Well that’s what you get. Lucky that you hired me, I’m certain you would have never found this cave.” She grinned proudly.
“I’m certain i’d be dead with that stupid wenut poking around. Ugh, what do those things even eat?!” You shook your clothes to get the sand out.
“Idk I’m not the scholar here so.” Dehya grinned.
“Hey my expertise is in machinery.. not oversized worms with no business of existing!” You fussed over your hair, to your shame, it hadn’t survived well. The hair tie you wore must’ve broken while you were busy trying to block the sand out of your eyes. “Ugh.. so much sand in my hair too… this is so unbecoming of me.”
“Unbecoming? You’re a scholar not a model.” Dehya said.
“Thanks.” You said sarcastically. “But I need to look professional and well put together. I’m not the prettiest sure but I should at least look like I am a scholar and not some rat drowing in sand!” You found your hair had also knotted together in what you horrifically realized was a huge mess. Not even your hairbrush could save you.. “oh god…” you winced as you got your hairbrush out, it felt painful to brush it out.
“Yikes.. let me help you there.” Dehya said. You turned to her.
“How is your hair fine!” You felt ashamed.
“I dunno, I wasn’t trying to fight the wind back there, but its really not that bad. Here just sit infront of me and I’ll help.”
“Well.. i guess you’re the expert on desert stuff.. do you encounter this problem alot?” You asked, obliging by her request.
“Oh definitely. Alot of eremite gals use praids or tie their hair up in some way. I could put yours in one if you like?”
“If any of it is salvageable that would be nice. You’re actually rather smart yourself.. you would do well in the ak-“
“Nope.”
“Why? I’m not trying to insult your job, especially right now, but I really think you could do alot more in your life!”
“Then who would you hire for all your little adventures then?” She said.
“Well.. there’s dozens of eremites, i could find another. I just think you have potential that you can’t explore in this position.” You sighed.
“I know you mean well but honestly I like it. There’s no way I’d give up the thrill of adventure and fighting for studying some stupid class like.. calculus.” Her voice carried a confidence you envied. But you noticed her hands were quite skilled, you didn’t feel any pain as she brushed out your knots.
“I’ll give you that, math isn’t the most interesting. But even just like reading some books might do you good! I’m not asking you to become my student I just think maybe investing in a library card could be useful!” You felt at ease strangely. You had been a regular of Dehya’s. Mostly because she was the most trustworthy by review, and also she was a woman. You didn’t exactly want to travel alone with just a man you didn’t know. And also she was rather pretty to look at.
“That is actually a interesting suggestion. I might take you up on that sometime.” She smiled. “Say, how come you always pick me? I heard from the other Eremites that you even canceled a whole trip you had planned because I wasn’t available.”
“W-well..” you blushed. “I just trust you the most. These conditions aren’t exactly easy for me and I’d rather traverse dangerous terrain with someone I trust and someone I know. Besides it gives me the opportunity to not rely on my colleagues’ decisions. I’m not as social as you might think.”
“You sure that’s it? You’re willing to sacrifice papers and lessons just because you don’t trust the other eremites? You know we didn’t start off besties here, what made you pick me in the first place? And it not like its just because I’m a girl, there’s plenty of female eremites out there well versed in combat like myself. I could recommend them to you.”
“I- just.. have a preference for you. Nothing wrong about that is there? Its more mora in your pocket so why should you care?” You pouted. She chuckled behind you.
“Easy now. I didn’t mean to sound like I was complaining. Its nice seeing how loyal you are to me.” You just feel her cocky smirk from behind. But your ego was quickly forgotten as she finished brushing out your knots, now starting to braid them. “If it does any good, you are my favorite customer. That and the traveler but its not like they hire me or anything. I’ve rather enjoyed our adventures. Maybe you should join the eremites~”
“Absolutely not! If i could handle it on my own then i would. Y-you do realize that- oh.. I see what you’re doing.” You sigh.
“See, its not fun when people question your career choices. Much less trying to push their own onto you. This is my dream job, I don’t need to take a class to perfect it.”
“Well to be honest I just would like to see you more that’s all.” You blurted out. Dehya realized you had been blushing this whole time. She seemed a bit surprised. “Those other scholars at the Akademiya are most old geezers with flies in their head reiterating the same sentiments with little flexibility. I much rather talk to you even if you don’t understand those concepts. I just… like to be around you that’s all.”
“Woah. That makes scholarly life alot less appealing you know?”
“I’m not trying to recruit you here! I just.. wanted a excuse to see you around more.” Silence fell between you two. You worried if you had been too open then, letting her know how you felt… “Y-you know there’s talk from Faruzan about opening a school or class in the desert. I think you could help with that.”
“That’s actually rather interesting. Whats her plan?”
“Oh just literacy. Its so they can read more complex topics. Oh and Kaveh was working on a library for the Aaru village too. I wanted to ask what books you think would appeal to the desert kids?” You added.
“Maybe if you have some textbooks that’d be easy or-“
“I mean like fiction. What did you want to learn about as a kid?” You said looking at her. You were a bit surprised to see such a fond look in her eyes. It made your heart thump ad your confidence wavered.
“Well.. I wanted to- hey.. the storms over.” Dehya said looking out at the entrance. You almost forgot about the storm.
“Oh.. maybe we should spend the night here just in case.” You said.
“You just want to keep talking don’t you.” Dehya smiled.
“Well yes. But also my feet are killing me still.”
Shenhe
“Its getting cold out, we need to seek shelter immediately.” Shenhe said. But it was only a light downpour. You felt a little whimsical.
“Oh its such a pretty sight. Rain in the snow.. oh I love it.” You quickly got out your camera to take a few photos. “There will be more icicles soon. Ooh it would make fo such a go- OH?” You quickly were picked up by Shenhe as she located a nearby hilichurl camp.
“Wait but what about- wait why is it empty.” You noted how old it looked. Dust collecting, various masks strewn about, broken. Shenhe set you down letting you looked around.
“I use this camp as my training grounds. Unfortunately they stopped trying to claim this area. But we should be aboe to take shelter in here.” She said. You were surprised by how nice it looked. Hay bedding, animal skins. You could easily make a bed with this. The roof did leak but it would do.
“I still think we could find somewhere better. The rain isn’t so ba-“ you were startled back into her arms as lightning struck not too far away. “Okay lets go inside..” you started to bunch up the hay together into a nest almost. Shenhe watched with curiosity.
“What is that for?” She asked.
“I’m making a bed. You can join if you would like. Its good to keep warm.” You said, bringing the animal skins to use as blankets. She joined you as you two cuddled in the makeshift bed.
“It is quite warm actually. You’ve done well.” Shenhe’s praise had you beaming with pride.
“Ah thank you… you don’t have to be so close you know?” You said.
“Do you want me to move away?” She seemed confused.
“Actually its fine. I don’t mind it.” You said.
“I’m getting rather tired.. you’re quite warm actually.” Shenhe pulled you in closer catching you off guard.
“O-oh. That’s good. I think we can take a rest. So long as No hilicurls come by.”
“They won’t. I laid out those masks to warn them not to come back. Its been months since any have returned.” She mumbled. “I should move them then. They make for good practice.”
“Lets not talk about murdering hilichurls right now please?” You asked.
“Right… so.. do you sleep outside often? You seem to know what to do.”
“No but I know that the barn cats use the hay in my family’s cellar for their bedding. I figured it must be comfortable.”
“You were right. This is quite nice.. I can imagine this bed would make many cat’s comfortable.” She said. You smiled at her imagination.
“Thank you.. I think… i may rest my eyes for a bit.. the sound of the rain outside is luring me to sleep, but im still nervous.”
“I’ll keep watch then. You get some rest.” She said. You smiled resting your head on her chest.
Zhongli
You were traveling with Zhongli, a funeral consultant on your way to Chenyu valley. But you two ran into a problem…
“I didn’t know it could rain like that here!” You felt spooked as you clung to the much taller male. “I just hope it doesn’t start to thunder ei-“ on cue lighting struck the bridge right infront of you.
“Lets find shelter then. Stay close to me. We don’t want to get separated here of all places.” His eyes scanning across the landscape. He spotted a cave and immediately pointed. “There. We should find some shelter there.”
You two quickly retreated into the cave, you silently thanked rex lapis that caves were abundant in this area.
“Lucky for us, there isn’t anyone else here.” He said as you two came in deeper. Finding it empty and relatively dry.
“I-its a shame we can’t make a fire. There isn’t any wood in here..” you lament. “I’m cold.”
“There seems to be a bit of a coal deposit here actually.” He said, poking at what just looked like a splot on the wall. “Here, I’ll retrieve it.” Using his Geo abilities he was able to crack some out of the wall. Putting it in s pile as you watched with fascination.
“You’re very well versed in rocks for a funeral director. Is it your geo vision or just your knowledge.” You asked.
“A mix of both, I’m quite well versed in the topic yes, but my vision does help.” He said. “Now we can use two rocks to make a spark.. we should be careful as coal leaves alot of smoke.” You took two stones and rubbed them against each other, looking to make a spark. It worked and a small flame started to grow.
“Excellent. We’ll stay here until the weather dies down.” You said, instinctively sitting next to him, leaning on him. He seemed a bit surprised. “O-oh sorry i didn’t mean to-“
“Oh it’s quite alright. It might help to cuddle for warmth. I hope you don’t mind.” He said politely.
“I-i don’t mind.” You said. His hand wrapped around you, not too tight but not to loose either. It felt rather nice like this. Your cheeks were tinted with red as he pressed himself against you.
“Are you comfortable right now?” He asked. You nodded. Maybe you should consider traveling with him a little more.
Kaeya
“You do know you’ll need more firewood than that.” Kaeya teased as you attempted to start a fire. You sighed.
“Then get some. Don’t just sit here and look pretty.” You grumbled as you rubbed the sticks together. He chuckled.
“Right right. And it was you who insisted they didn’t need a second jacket.” He smiled, you wore his cloak as he had offered it earlier.
“Well I didn’t expect us to stay the night here.”
“You should know a trip to dragonspine isn’t a one day venture. But with that out of the way, I’ll get some firewood.” He said leaving briefly. Just as he left you got the fire going. You smiled.
“See! I told you i could- oh right.” You said. Feeling his absence quickly. You huddled by the fire as you waited for him to come back.
It felt like he was gone forever when he finally came back. Arms full of firewood.
“Miss me?” He said as he noticed the frozen tears on your cheeks.
“No.. just come over here… you’re probably cold..” you said. Patting the ground besides you.
“Oh now you want to cuddle.” He smiled as he took your offer. Setting the firewood aside.
“You scared me you know..” you said.
“Well I just wanted to gather as much wood as possible. That way we can make it through the blizzard. These blizzards can last very long you know?” He snickered as you jolted.
“Don’t scare me like that!” You grumbled.
“I’m not trying to scare you. Just preparing you for the worst. Don’t worry, we have plenty of rations. And this fire is quite strong. You did a good job.” He smiled drawing his hand across your shoulder.
“Thanks..”you grumbled. You scooted closer to him as you felt a chill run down your spine. “I can’t wait to get out of here.”
“You’re cute when you’re grumpy like this. But you do realize we still haven’t made it halfway to Albedo’s office right?” He said. You stared at him with a look of defeat.
“Ugh! I’m never going to make it!” You whined.
“Oh you’ll live.” He chuckled. “I’m here afterall. I’ll drag you up that mountain if I have to.”
“Well… I guess its good I have you then. I’d probably be dead by now if I went by myself.”
“Oh please, Jean would never send a new night here alone. But your gratitude is appreciated.” He smiled.

Dehya x Secret Admirer Reader
Where you fall in love with Dehya at first sight and write her a love letter
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
Sweat glistened and shined in the blaring desert sun. With each swing of her claymore, an intense buzz filled the air, suffocating her opponents. There, only a mere few feet in front of you, was an unfamiliar woman. Not only that, but she was easily the strongest person you've ever seen. Her fighting prowess and pure, fiery confidence terrified you out of pure instinct, making your legs tremble and nearly collapse under you.
And you loved every second of it.
Before long, the thugs that had attempted to mug you lay unconscious on the ground below, suddenly far less intimidating than before. Your savior let out a breathy sigh. Then, she turned in your direction.
Her piercing blue eyes settled on you, glaring from the lingering emotions of battle. Quickly, though, you noticed them soften as she looked you up and down.
"Sorry, did I scare you? I didn't mean to barge in like that, but those guys didn't exactly leave me a choice. Name's Dehya. I can escort you to wherever it is you're heading off to."
Everything felt so warm—and not just because of the desert sun. With embarrassment, you could tell easily just from the sensation alone how flushed your face was becoming. It's not like you've never interacted with a girl before, but someone as charming and attractive as her? People like her were the kind you'd only ever seen in passing or in newspapers about celebrities. But now here she was, standing right in front of you and paying attention to you.
"Thank you... Uh, Dehya." Her name burned on your lips.
The next half an hour spent walking together was both uncomfortably long and painfully short. Neither of you tried too hard to be particularly chatty—or at least, the two of you gave up on having any real conversation after many awkward attempts. The blame for that was most definitely yours alone, though. Dehya clearly knew how to interact with strangers, as proven by how naturally it came to her, but you... Well, who could blame you for struggling so much around someone as dazzling as her?
You glanced up, snapping out of your thoughts and recognizing your surroundings. In what felt like mere moments, the two of you had arrived at your destination. Embarrassment coursed through your body. Had you really not managed to have a single, proper chat with her this entire time? Looking to your side, Dehya appeared to lack the same concern.
"Well, I'll be on my way now. Take care, okay? That area's littered with criminal activity nowadays." The girl winked at you in such a casual manner that it barely registered. You mumbled back in a meek attempt at agreement.
Panic overtook you as you saw her turn to leave. Without thinking, you called out to her.
"Wait, Dehya!" At the sound of your voice, she glanced in your direction, waiting silently for you to continue. You blushed, realizing you had no idea what words to say next.
"I uh, um... I hope I can see you again sometime."
She chuckled at you lightly. "Don't wish for that. If we run into each other again, it'll probably be because you got yourself into even more trouble."
*
As the moon's glow began to paint the desert sky, Dehya relaxed her muscles and allowed her tension to melt away. There really was nothing quite like watching the stars at night to help let go of the day's troubles. As she began to unwind, the sounds of footsteps in the sand grabbed her attention. She gazed upwards. A man she vaguely recognized stood before her, holding out an envelope.
"What is this?" She questioned him.
"A letter for you, Miss Dehya."
Her head leaned to the side. Letters for her weren't unheard of, but they typically only came from a handful of people sealed in recognizable envelopes. This one, unlike the ones from before, she had never seen. Maybe it was a new client looking to hire her, or perhaps... Her lips pulled together in a frown. There always was the chance some dumbass was trying to blackmail her. It never worked in their favor, but some still tried.
Tension building inside of her, she reached for the envelope and clawed it open. She unfolded the neat paper within and held it in front of her.
"Dear Dehya... Ever since I met you... I've had a crush on you—wait, what?" Her eyes widened in realization at what this letter truly was. A confession.
With a rush, she ran her eyes down to the end of the paper. Who the hell could have written this?
Love, your secret admirer
Her face scrunched up at the words, her mind doing mental gymnastics as she desperately tried to cycle through her recent social interactions. The issue was, she wasn't exactly a loner in any sense of the word. Her work, by nature, was so involved with other people that the list of potential suspects was exceedingly high.
She threw her head back and, despite her frustration, began to grin to herself. If they were too much of a coward to confess to her face, then... she'd just have to hunt them down and make them.
"I'll find you, whoever you are. And when I do, don't expect me to go easy on you."

-> marriage
synopsis -> you propose to dehya after a particularly fancy dinner party with the sumeru vision weilders.
warnings -> none! pure fluff (dehya brainrot goes crazy)
w/c -> 1.3k

you and dehya have been dating for several years now- crawling up on your third next month. though you weren’t a vision wielder, you were invited to a dinner party that all of the sumeru vision holders were hosting. they each made an agreement that everyone was able to bring along an additional person if they pleased, idea brought up by nilou. so obviously, dehya chose to bring you.
normally, due to your girlfriends line of work, she’d have no time for these events. you talked to her, and then giving her a moment to confirm with the others that this will be one she will be attending, and that, due to the traveler symbolizing the importance and your asking, she will be bringing you as her person.
a few days later, the morning of the dinner, you walked over to where nilou, traveler, and alhaitham were gathered, likely discussing the journey to fontaine. you walked up to them, nilou and traveler greeting you with a wave as alhaitham nodded his head at your presence.
“hello, y/n!” nilou brought you in for a hug. “how are things with you and dehya? i know i’m seeing you two tonight, but i just couldn’t help but ask.” she ended that sentence with a slight giggle, releasing the hug and allowing traveler and paimon to greet you properly, following up with alhaitham.
“well, that’s kind of why i came to find you.” you sighed, a slight smile on your face. you could see nilou go visibly pale, thinking she knows what she’s about to hear.
“i just… need help with how to propose to her.”
any lack of emotion immediately left nilous face, her putting her hands to her cheeks in glee and allowing paimon to talk this time.
“paimon knew this day would come!! the only thing dehya talks about when we get together is you, y/n!” she did a little backflip in the air. “when do you think you’re gonna do it? you have to fill paimon in!”
at this time, alhaitham had excused himself to work, and you were now starting to walk through sumeru city. you were keeping a sharp eye out for dehya, hinting to nilou and traveler to do the same, and for traveler to tell paimon to keep her voice down incase she or someone she knew was around to hear.
“well, how soon would you want to do it? and how big of a deal would you want to make it?” nilou wondered. “are you thinking about taking the zubayr theatre for a little bit for the proposal?”
you sighed, brushing a stray hair back behind your ear. “that’s what i need help on. i know i want it to be either tonight or tomorrow, but i don’t really know how to go about it. i know she probably wouldn’t want too big of a croud surrounding her, so maybe not the zubayr theatre. i was thinking somewhere… special. maybe where we first met, though that was just a little shack of a cafe in the middle of the caravan ribat. it’s certainly not a big place, but i kind of want to take her there. though, it depends on where we are dining tonight.”
nilou nodded, processing all that information, thinking as you walked the paths of the city.
“paimon thinks you should just propose where you first met! we’ve had to help out with proposals before, right, traveler?”
the traveler nodded.
“exactly! paimon has experience under her wing. did you buy the ring yet?”
you nodded, pulling a box out of your pocket that held a beautiful red topaz jewel in the center with a gold band glimmering in the sunlight.
“that’s a beautiful ring, i think she’ll love whatever you do, y/n!” nilou clapped her hands, giggling a little. “i’d just say, take her to your spot in the caravan ribat. explain the significance of the spot if she doesn’t exactly remember, and then propose! i don’t see her saying anything but yes!!”
you laughed, putting an arm around nilous shoulder and giving her a side hug.
“thanks, nilou. and thanks, paimon and traveler! i’ll see you guys later!!” you walked off, heading back to your shared apartment.
before you knew it, it was time to go to dinner. you zipped up the back of dehyas dress as she helped you straighten out any visible wrinkles in your dress/suit, and you two were off. where the dinner was is a very fancy and expensive restaurant in the middle of sumeru city, the night reserved to your party. as you two walked in, you were immediately greeted by a waitress, who walked the two of you to the table, where you saw cyno, nilou, the traveler and paimon, a few other guests everyone brought along, and nahida herself. you both waved and greeted everyone before taking your own seats.
the dinner went by in a blur. the bill was paid, and you all parted your own ways. though, instead of bringing dehya back to your apartment, you were walking in the direction of the desert, taking her hand in yours as soon as you knew that nobody would be around to see such displays of affection.
after a while of walking in silence, she looked at you.
“hey, where are we going? this is the direction of the desert, not our apartment, ya’know..”
“i’m aware. i just have somewhere to take you. then we’ll be on our way.” you gripped her hand a little harder, slightly cuddling into her shoulder as you guys walked. “the night is very beautiful, no?”
she nodded. “it’s very pleasant tonight. normally, nights around here get pretty bitter. is that why you wanted to take a walk?”
“yeah, for the most part. theres another reason, but you’ll figure that out once we reach our destination. we aren’t far!” you laughed slightly before picking up your pace, dragging her behind you. she laughed as well, making this into a race to see who could travel the farthest distance.
as soon as the two of you reached the caravan ribat, you took a deep breath, attracting dehyas attention as you stopped her in front of the cafe you two met at.
“do you remember what this place means to our relationship, dehya?” you said with a slightly shaky voice.
“of course i do. we met here, and this was where we had our first date. why would i forget something as important as that?” she ruffled your hair slightly as you got down on one knee, catching her off guard.
she looked around to see if anyone was watching before looking back down at you. you pulled a beautiful ring out of your pocket and held it up to her.
“dehya. when i first met you, it immediately felt to me as if i had found the one. that probably explains why we got so close so fast. i felt like the luckiest person alive when we went out for our first date, and felt even luckier when you moved in with me. you deserve nothing short of the best, someone who will love you and support you, and someone who will always be there for you. will you allow me to be that person for as long as you and i live, and marry me?”
you could swear this was the first time you saw her shocked. at this point, your heart was beating what felt like 50 times per second, and you were probably sweating a waterfall right now.
“yes, of course!” she laughed, letting you slip the ring on her finger before picking you up and spinning you around. she took a moment to gaze down at the ring that adorned her ring finger, smiling as she felt her chest warm up. she looked up at you before passionately kissing you, and ended the night having your first date at that same cafe, but now as your fiancee.

I forgot about auntie Dehya! I can’t believe it!
The kittens absolutely adore Dehya! She’s so big and strong the kittens love being carried by her. She’s kinda like a big jungle gym for them to climb and hang off of whenever they want. They think Dehya is the strongest cat around, and while one of them wants to grow up like mum, the other wants to be strong like Dehya for sure. (Lynette almost visibly emotes her surprise when one of the kittens manages to lift Dehya’s greatsword.)
And Dehya also adores them, teaching them how to do up their hair and makeup just like their mums. Sometimes during her workouts there’ll be a pair of kittens curled up on her back while doing push-ups, slowly as to not wake them.
After that whole traumatizing thing with Auntie Keqing’s fake hair ears they started poking around at Dehya’s too. They do not like the results but she’s still one of their favourites.
I like to think that since Lynette is very introverted, she needs a break from her kids sometimes. So knowing that the kittens love Courtesan Dehya so much, Lynette probably plops them down in front of Dehya and scurries off so that Dehya could watch over them while she rests 😭
Poor Dehya, now left to supervise the two kittens, she just stops whatever training she’s doing and allows the kids to climb all over her. It’s like when mama cats drop off their babies to the big dog, and the big dog has to watch over them now while these kittens all meow for their attention <3
Awwwshhhdhhsjdjejd. The image of the tough mercenary with two small kitten kids on dangling off her arms is so cute. Courtesans Miko and Candace would be cooing so much at the sight!

OMG I JUST FOUND OUT UR ACCOUNT. Fem characters deserve more attention!! theyre literally amazing and I love them sm
Jean, Shenhe, Kokomi, Dehya, Candace and Navia crush crushing on fem reader hcs?? 👀👀 How about a one-sided crush?? :0 im a sucker for angst. Aandd if its okay reader also travels with Aether/Lumine and Paimon
Sorry if there are too many characters, you can choose the ones you want to write for I dont mind ^o^ I feel like they would love someone whos like Mitsuri from Kny?? Like really bubbly, friendly and strong
reader not knowing genshin girls like them
anon did you seriously just want me to write wuh luh wuh angst at 1:09 in the afternoon?
yes.
jean, navia, shenhe, dehya, candace and kokomi x bubbly!fem reader!
cw; (not heavy) but angst . . men & minors dni, one sided feelings, slight homophobia (kokomi) aether/lumine is referred to as "traveler" , oh yeah reader DOESN'T like traveler, i reread it and it seems like that im so sorry i swear when i was writing it didn't seem like that

Jean’s professionalism is both her shield and her downfall. At first, she’d justify her feelings as admiration for your strength and sweet bubbly nature. But deep down, seeing you light up the discussions, making everyone laugh, even her, briefly, leaves her heart aching with a sense of “What if?” She had to convince herself her feelings don’t matter.
Mondstadt is her priority, after all. But every time she catches herself watching you with that soft smile, she knows she’s lying to herself, she wants to love you.
She overhears you mentioning your admiration for The traveler's courage and wonders if her reserved nature makes you afraid of her, she knows you could never love someone like her.

Navia would always be captivated by how easily you connect with everyone. She’d love your warm energy, your ability to lift spirits even on the toughest days. Her heart would flutter every time you excitedly offered to help her with something like in battle, baking, and even if it’s as simple as carrying supplies. But she’d hold back, unsure if you saw her as anything more than a friend.
Navia stays silent because she fears ruining the joy you bring to her life. It’s better to be a friend than risk being pushed away.
Navia is drawn to how effortlessly you connect with everyone, but the bond you share with the Traveler makes her so jealous, she wishes it was her, but it'll never be her.

Shenhe doesn’t fully understand the ache she feels around you. You’re like sunshine, and while she craves the warmth, it also feels distant, something she believes she’s not meant to have. Her gaze is quietly there when you laugh, or tease, or talk with Traveler. She would sometimes look out for you, protecting you in fights or quietly, rarely offering you things she thinks you’d like but never expresses or would say why.
Shenhe avoids being too close to yu, thinking her "fate" as an outcast could only bring you harm.
She thinks your too good for her, you could never like her.

Dehya feels like an outsider watching you laugh and joke with Traveler and Paimon. She knows you’re happy, but every shared glance and touch between you and the Traveler feels like another stab to her chest.
She catches herself lingering too long on the sidelines, wondering if she’s being selfish for hoping you’d notice her in the same way. Every time you turn to the Traveler for help or advice, it’s a reminder that she’ll never be your first choice.
Dehya’s nights are restless, haunted by the what-ifs. What if she told you how she felt? Would you laugh it off? Pity her? Or worse, would it drive you away?
she'll never admit to liking you.

Candace often wonders if her feelings are a burden. She watches the way your eyes light up when you talk about the Traveler, and it stings knowing she’ll never be the one to make your smile light up like that.
She tries to keep her emotions under control, but sometimes, the ache is too much. During quiet moments, she finds herself whispering prayers to the gods, not for you to love her back, but for the strength to endure loving you silently.
When you thank her for her help or lean on her for support, it’s so damn bittersweet. She loves being there for you, but each interaction reminds her that you only see her as a trusted friend.
Candace is selfless to a fault, choosing to stay in the background while the Traveler and your journey takes center stage in your life. But sometimes, she wonders if she’ll ever stop feeling like she’s not enough.

Kokomi’s feelings for you started as a small feeling, one she tried to smother with logic and duty. But as time went on, those feelings became a fire she couldn’t put out. Still, she tells herself it’s a love she has no right to hold onto.
Watatsumi Island is steeped in tradition, and Kokomi has always been its dutiful priestess. She knows her people look up to her as a symbol of stability and purity, and anything that challenges that image could be seen as a betrayal.
The whispers started long before she even admitted her feelings to herself. "The Divine Priestess must marry someone suitable." "She must set an example for all of Watatsumi." When she caught wind of rumors about her spending too much time around you, she doubled down on hiding her emotions.
The pressure becomes unbearable when elders from the island begin hinting at arranged matches to "secure alliances." Kokomi politely deflects their suggestions, but the quiet shame in their eyes like she’s somehow failing her people, it cuts deeper than she’ll admit.
She tells herself her love for you is selfish. How could she ever place her desires above the expectations of an entire island? The thought of being openly with you feels like a pure sin, one that would stain her legacy and isolate her from everything she’s ever known.
On especially dark days, Kokomi avoids you altogether, telling herself it’s for your own good. She believes the world isn’t kind to people like her, and she refuses to drag you into the judgment she’d inevitably face.
The worst part? The quiet acceptance she’s forced herself into. Kokomi convinces herself that her love for you is meant to stay unspoken, hidden in the deep waters of her heart, where no one, especially you can find it.
WHEN YOU WAKE UP NEXT TO HIM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WITH YOUR HEAD IN YOUR HANDS YOUR NOTHING MORE THEN HIS WIFE AND WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT ME ALL THOSE YEARS AGO , YOU'RE STANDING FACE TO FACE WITH; I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ugh i went all out for kokomi's, had to end with a banger

CHAPTER X! play stupid games, win stupid prizes
<- prev masterlist next ->
and now, finally, everyone was heading back to the hostel to rest. now, finally, you had a chance to talk to alhaitham about what exactly had happened between the two of you not even 24 hours ago.
he wasn't miles ahead at the front of the group now as you walked back, something that you silently rejoiced in as you didn't think that you had it in you to walk any faster than you already were. the universe seemed to have some good in store for you, as everyone else was a few metres ahead, with just the two of you trailing after them.
it took a few moments for you to build the courage to go up to him, a newfound fear of rejection taking root whenever you initiate an interaction with him. ultimately, you didn't want everything that had happened last night to grow into something worse. you missed the looks that you shared with him across tables, across rooms, and his silent presence that you had grown more than accustomed to. you didn't like its absence, not one bit.
"can we talk?"
your voice was clear this time, thank god, and alhaitham froze a little before slowing to match your pace.
"about what?" you couldn't believe him right now.
"you know what."
his face didn't give away anything, again, and you found yourself envious of his ability to do so. if he were to look at you properly, he could probably read every single thought of yours just by the look on your face, and easily decipher just how much you were putting on the line with this conversation.
alhaitham paused again, and you wanted to shake him and scream.
"let's talk back at the hostel."
"okay." at least it was something. barely.
there was silence again, the maddening and uncomfortable type as you walked back to the hostel, feeling so much like a doomed repetition of the night before.
thoughts churned around your head as you walked, not even sure of what you wanted to say. you were too tired to do so during the day, with dehya and nilou keeping you distracted. and now that it mattered most, you were drawing blanks.
you felt hazy for the rest of the walk back. to any passerby, you probably looked like a couple in the middle of an argument, walking back to your room while sulking at each other. any reality would be better than this one.
and finally, alhaitham pulled you to the side, ever so subtly, into a small alcove in the corridor leading up to the room. he was close, enough that your shoes almost touched as you stood opposite each other. that fact didn't help you in trying to organise your thoughts enough to ask him a question.
"what did you want to talk about?" his voice is a little softer now, probably more hushed to avoid anyone eavesdropping on your conversation.
you paused for a second, thinking about what exactly you did want to say to him.
"i guess.... i just want to know what you were thinking when you did.... that." you couldn't even say kiss right now. it felt too sweet of a word to taint with what you were feeling right now.
"look, it was a mistake, alright? i'm sorry that it happened, it shouldn't have-"
"did you do it because you have feelings for me or because you were drunk?" you didn't even expect to blurt that out, and it hung suspended in the air as you searched his face for any sign of emotion.
there was a long silence after that. he didn't drop your gaze from where you stood chest to chest in that little alcove in the hallway. you could make out the barely there movement of his chest as he breathed, and only now could you get some idea that right now he was thinking hard about something. the pit in your stomach grew.
"if i were you... i would just move on."
in less than 24 hours, he had managed to rip your heart out of your chest and trample on it twice.
"i see."
it was succinct enough- you doubt any more words had to be spoken even if you could think of some. alhaitham nodded, a crease between his brows as his inner conflict became more obvious to you.
he left you stood there to turn towards the room door, only pausing once to look back, muttering an "i'm sorry" before disappearing. the soft click of the door shutting behind him
some small relief was that the tears only began to fall when you were alone, with no audience to watch your face scrunch up as you slumped a little against the wall, feeling so small and insignificant as you began to cry silently.
you didn't even want to tell your friends right now, sure that their sympathy would only make you feel even more sorry for yourself. no, this was a time to lick your wounds in private, and allow yourself these ten minutes of weakness before you put this behind you once and for all and just move on.
his words left a bitter taste in your mind, and while it hurt to come crashing down to earth from the fairytale version of him that had dissolved in front of your eyes, it had to be done. so you cried until your eyes felt dry, and only then got your own key out and joined the rest of your friends in the room.
just move on. alhaitham's words were still rattling around in your head as you came back inside the room, checking your reflection in the mirror as you brushed your teeth and got ready to sleep, making sure that you definitely did not look like you had been crying for the past ten minutes. running cold water over your wrists helped, as did washing your face right after.
another small relief from the universe was the fact that the door separating the bathroom from the beds was closed, hiding your blotchy and puffy face as you tried to return back to normal.
just move on. it really was no big deal. just a difference in expectations. some juvenile part of you still clung to the possibility that this was all because alhaitham had feelings for you, but the cynicism was beginning to take hold, extinguishing those burning embers of hope.
you paused now, face still wet, and just looked at your reflection. other then your eyes being slightly bloodshot, there were no other signs of what had just transpired in the hallway. good.
you heard the door open, turning your head just in time to see cyno slip into the bathroom as well. he shoots you a bashful smile, one that you return as the cogs in your head start to whirr.
just move on, right?
"hey, wanna watch a movie with me? i'm not really tired yet." you cringed internally at the sickly sweet tone of your voice, though it seemed to have its desired affect as cyno began to deliberate. you already knew what the answer would be despite the hesitance in his face.
"... yeah. sure." not even a false pretence of asking if you were sure.
"cool, just get into my bed when you're done." you breezed past him, getting comfortable despite what you were sure was some sort of adrenaline rush starting to invade your system.
those few minutes cyno spent in the bathroom seemed to stretch for too long, with you having already pulled up the movie that you had initially downloaded for the plane trip, leaving it ready and you growing increasingly antsy.
by the time he came back into the room, the lights were all of, and except for the slither of light let in as the dokr opened and closed, it was completely dark as cyno carefully approached your bed, getting in with minimal effort or noise on his part. he always had been particularly agile.
his arm brushed against yours as he shuffled up so that you would lie side by side, both huddled transfixed at the small screen of your phone for the movie to play on. and when you were both comfortable, you pressed play.
the movie was nothing special, really. some half-hearted comedy meant to kill time instead of sleeping. but then again, this wasn't ever really about watching the movie. it was obvious by the way both of your breaths hitched whenever one of you would lean in a little too close, ever so gradual over the course of the movie until your sides were pressed flush against each other, your soft skin meeting his, angles and curves complementing each other and slotting together.
and it felt nice. it felt familiar. it was a nice distraction from the movie.
"should i go back to my bed?" it was silent in the room by now apart from the two of you lying side by side. the credits of the movie rolled, now forgotten as you turned to look at cyno properly. you would really hate if he accidentally awoke anyone right now, disturbing their precious slumber as he climbed down from your creaky bed and into his.
"only if you want to." cyno paused, though there didn't seem to be much conflict in his eyes before he stared resolutely back, giving you your answer.
was this a good idea? absolutely not.
did you feel bad about it? hard to say.
but by now, cyno was getting comfortable, laying down properly on your pillow. his arm brushed against you, and you didn't shy away.
despite every warning you screamed internally, you shuffled even closer to his touch. he was warm, chest solid against you just how you remembered. you vaguely thought of just how easy it was to lie next to him, a bitter pang of remembering how there was once a time where this would be part of your nighttime routine. the synchronity of you and cyno, all the joy and love that had been shared in those moments.
you even realised that you were in what had once been your favourite sleeping position, with him on his back, arm looped around you as you rest on his chest. one arm resting on him, the other looped around your middle with his hand holding yours. his fingers, you noticed, were even idly playing with yours like he used to do every time the two of you laid like this.
yet things were different now. you weren't dating any more. you just got your heart broken by a man who wasn't even lying next to you, but a few beds away, and your thoughts kept straying back to him.
just move on. the arm looped around you now felt foreign, the breathing pattern underneath you no longer sounding familiar, and you suddenly felt like a stranger to cyno all over again.
you're not even sure of the exact reason as to why tears begin to fall. you let them drip down your face, onto the soft material of cyno's, your ex's, shirt, letting the liquid trek past the contours of your nose and cheeks.
and as you cried quietly, cyno laid there, arm still around you but otherwise still. despite the fact that you were lying on him, it still felt like he was a thousand miles away, leaving you truly alone to let the tears continue to fall.
all in an attempt to just move on.

DOES THE PYRO VISON HOLDERES DESERVE THEIR ELEMENT?
PYRO
Ye, so Pyro is associated with war in Genshin. Why? Wecause war ravages the land and it kills everything its touches. A heavily destructive force, the element is also related with bad temperaments and rage.
Pyro's positive qualities is its warmth, light and energy.
It can be used to represent love, courage, strength and passion perhaps even ambition.
Now, I am bad at explaining the way I feel a character would represent the love aspect. But basically big positive feelings towards a select few or the entire world. You get me?
Let's begin.
AMBER
Amber is a warm and friendly character but so is most of the cast, so I won't call it out unless a character's warmth is significant enough to do so.
She's energetic, passionate and courageous.
KLEE
BOMB
Also, she a very energetic and passionate child. Klee is also considered the strongest of the knights of Favonius. Also the destruction aspect.
LIGHT
WARM,FUZZY SWEETHEART.
Guys she would love so hard oh my gods. Family, friends, random strangers. It's hard not to adore her and she just loves. I feel so upset about characters that love, like why do we deserve you. Why do we deserve your love. We are horrible, HORRIBLE people.
DILUC
His vision burned out after Crepus died. To compensate for this, Diluc used his father's delusion whilst he hunted down the Fatui. That man went on a rampage and he was exiled from Snezhnaya. So.. rage and destruction.
There's also the case that he lashed out at Kaeya and attacked his brother when he told Diluc about his connections to the Abyss Order allowing Kaeya to gain his vision.
Diluc's vision was rekindled of course, but it was interesting that his passion died the night his father did. The man still holds his dedication to justice.
Power.
Courage.
Also, he and Kaeya have a fire/ice kinda deal going on. I think Diluc and Kaeya deserve to get more story quests, like there is so much more we need to know about those two.
I can't really tell anywhere from the game, the comic or anything about what his relationship with Kaeya used to be, and how badly it broke. I feel that they both want to rekindle their relationship but aren't sure if the other wants to.
Even then, I feel like Diluc also falls int the love aspect. He got banned from a REGION because of what he did after they took his father away from him. His relationship with Kaeya is messy but you KNOW that man has a LOT of feelings.
And that may just be why I think he works with the love factor. His actions gives us an idea of how large and heavy his emotions are , you guys get me, right?
XIANGLING
Let's be honest, her dedication to the art of cooking already explains it. Also she's a chef.
XINYAN
Passionate of course, she's really friendly as well and she has a fiery personality.
Courage in a way. Imagine going onto a stage time and tome again and despite your audience constantly throwing tomatoes at you, you keep coming back to perform what you love.
HU TAO
Energetic.
She also has an interesting relationship with death. She believes that death is a natural part of life and feels that trying to prolong it is meaningless. Hu Tao embraces death.
Also she's a funeral parlour director. Cremation.
I adore how she's associated with butterflies, a symbol of death and change.
YANFEI
You would expect someone who works with law to be a hydro user wouldn't you.
Oh well, Yanfei is very passionate about the law. Like damg.
Also. Fun-fact: She finds Fontaine 's laws too difficult. Which is understandable.
THOMA
I'm not a ThomaTo shipper, but he definitely loves the Kamisato siblings. They are like a family to him and he is extremely loyal to them.
Thoma is a very friendly character and hardworking. He's also protective of the Kamisato siblings. idk guys, he's just one of those characters that you just know loves with all their heart.
YOIMIYA
FIREWORKS
passionate about fire works
friendly
DEHYA
She's from the desert.
She's strong.
Destruction.
Courage.
Her vision came to her at a low point making it a light at the end of her tunnel .
LYNEY
He is passionate about magic. He's the extrovert of the hearth siblings. He shares an element with Arlecchino, which may hint to them having a closer bond.
Light.
Courage.
The terms 'smoke and mirrors' is used when referring to a magician's tricks.
I'm gonna say a case can be made with love, for his siblings, 'Father' and for the magician that trained him and Lynnette. This boy rarely leaves his sister's side for long periods of time. Also he loves the traveller I don't make the rules you gays can't change my mind.
MOVING ON
CHEVREUSE
Passion
GUN
Courage
GAMING
His name is FIRE. He's passionate about his art. He's friendly. REALLY friendly and courage works too. His animations are LIT.
What more do you want?
CONCLUSION
Passion seems to be the most common trait amongst these fiery little guys.
Cryo next and I promise you I will gush about Kaeya and his beautiful face .
Bye!
Edi: i forgot Yoimiya.

Hi, saw that your requests were open. Would you be open to writing headcanons for how the sumeru's s/o would comfort them?
*inserts yummy food as payment *
𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑
synopsis: comforting the sumeru cast
characters: tighnari, cyno, dehya, alhaitham, kaveh
warnings: reverse hurt/comfort, fluff, pinch of angst, exhaustion, injuries, mentions of alcohol, self doubt, and overworking
notes: thank you for the yummy food, anon 😋 hope you enjoy this! sidenote: i left dottore out because, well, i think that’s obvious. also i wrote this so long ago like i completely forgot i even finished it 😭

tighnari:
tighnari is very independent and likes to do things on his own if he can, so he very rarely needs comfort
but when he gets stressed, it’s BAD
works all day out in the forest and late into the night on his studies to keep his mind off things, but usually ends up making it worse
has a hard time sleeping and just gets so exhausted :(
one night you find him up and just hug him silently from behind
in times like these, he just melts and gives into the comfort, surrendering to dependency
loves it when you just take care of him and can finally rest
like helping him change into a more comfortable set of clothes, playing with his hair until he falls asleep, and making him his favorite meals
and it’s difficult, but you always find a way to convince him to take a day off of work
you even help him with his work since you guys frequently work together in the forest
he’s super appreciative too, thanking you left and right for catching him before he falls into a bad mental space
and you promise that, no matter what, you’ll always be there for him
cyno:
cyno is like tighnari in the sense that he rarely finds himself in need of comfort
until one day, he gets injured badly during a fight while out investigating some criminals in the desert
of course, he took them out with ease, but somehow managed to get a few deep scratches that were particularly painful
he’s definitely the type to try to hide that he needs help
but you always see right through him
he acts like he hates it, but he really does love it when you help him sit down and clean up his wounds
and the fact that you’re so worried about him helps take his mind off the throbbing pain from his injuries
whispering little things like “it’s okay,” and “you’re okay,” even though he is okay because no matter what, he would never let himself die or get severely injured as long as he’s with you
but on the days when he does get scratched up like this, he can’t help but exaggerate a little bit and relish within your love for him
and when he does truly get upset about the fact that he has to take a few days off from work, he can’t help but feel at peace with the fact that you’ll be by his side the entire time
dehya:
dehya completely hides her feelings when she needs comforting, at least, most of the time
usually it comes out as some form of anger, directed at a person who just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time
but when it happens, you’re by her side quickly. and if you’re not, everyone knows to go get you, the one person who always seems to quell her worries and calm her emotions no matter what
truly like water and fire
she loves it when you put your hand in hers as it gives her a sense of familiarity and home
or the way you whisper sweet nothings in her ear and bring her to a calm place where the wind blows gently in her hair and all she can focus on is you
getting a nice meal together? her favorite thing in the whole world
she isn’t a fan of talking about her feelings, but something about just sitting down in her favorite tavern with her favorite person enjoying her favorite food and drinks as she lets everything out is incredibly heart warming and satisfying
seeing the way you never judge her for how she feels or what she’s thinking will never fail to make her fall in love with you all over again
alhaitham:
it’s simple, alhaitham doesn’t need comfort
at least, that’s what he tells himself
but everyone as their bad days, even him. does he show it? of course not
you’d have to be pretty damn lucky to witness alhaitham, the most stoic and apathetic person in all of teyvat, let his emotions out
he’s definitely the type of person to bottle it all up for months on end until it all explodes one day
one little thing goes wrong: someone says the wrong thing, hands him the wrong paper, he forgets his keys…and he blows up like a firework
but only in private. he’d never let anyone see that type of thing happen, not even you, his lover
until one day, you do
he fumes with anger, the type of person to throw everything off their desk when they’re pissed off
you walk in and he just collapses into his chair, even more upset that you even had to witness any of that
you just drag him out of his office with a gentle hand in his rough one and guide him to your shared bed where you have him lie down
he enjoys sleeping with you, arms around your waist with you against his abdomen in a nice dark and cold room
but you clean up his mess and join him in bed
and you never say a word about any of it, just as he prefers it
alhaitham understands his emotions, so he doesn’t need you to talk him through it
resting with you is enough time for him to recharge, reflect on his emotions, and relax with perhaps the only person he’s ever loved next to him
kaveh:
he frequently needs comforting from you, and it’s pretty obvious why
there’s no specific situations like the others. kaveh is just generally an emotional and sensitive guy who needs a little more support
it’s not a bad thing, and you make sure he always knows that
he’s open about his struggles with you and it’s usually in the form of laying in each others’ arms while you two talk things out
it even helps him to avoid the alcohol, something he’s eternally grateful for
he loves it when you speak softly or even in a whisper, it’s very calming to him and makes him not feel like he has to be loud to get people to understand him
needs to be reminded he’s loved by you or else he begins to doubt himself
he really enjoys when you put your hands in his hair and massage his head for him. it allows him to close his eyes and find a moment of peace
if you’re in public and he starts to feel uncomfortable, holding his hand seems to calm him down immensely
overall just needs a bit of reassurance and some physical contact and he feels safe again <3

Aether headcanon because why not?
Actually enjoys fishing
Has a mean competitive streak after several losses in TCG
Paimon braids his hair in the morning if he’s too sleepy to do so
Kinda introverted but was forced to be more outgoing after losing Lumine
Likes quietness in the daytime, but not a fan of it at night.
Enjoys quality with close ones. Even if it’s sitting in a room doing nothing
An actual menace to society when around his sister or someone he’s very comfortable
Likes the feeling of being sore
The right corner of his lip bleeds when he’s hyper focused in a fight because he’s biting the inside. He’s trying to stop
Enjoys light rain.
Favorite Teyvat meal is Kaeya’s specialty and Noelle’s specialty.
Sneaks off sometimes to fight abyss mages as a way of “blowing off steam”
His personality changes ever so slightly depending on alignment. No one is certain if it’s to reflect the archons or if it’s a deeper meaning
Anemo Aether is pretty casual and curious. Easily the most extroverted demeanor.
Geo Aether can be a bit more blunt (heh) as well as focused. Tends to be a little more imposing.
Electro Aether takes the least amount of bullshit and less forgiving temperament. Not the biggest fan of being looked down on and ready to put someone in their place.
Dendro Aether holds the most outward joy. Someone might mistake him for some kind of fairy or spirit when he’s playing with Aranara. Pretty reckless yet adept.
Hyrdo Aether is calm and pretty resilient. Kinda emotional but fairly good at keeping it in check. Fairly easy to agitate in comparison to the rest aside from Electro. Empathetic from all the emotional people and it kinda stinks.
Is awake more than he sleeps but also known for having many napping spots.
Questionable choice in men some would say.
Amazing choice in women, others might say.
Bisexual and polygamy enthusiasts
Gave Paimon her own house in the teapot
Not a big climbing fan.
Has a low energy day like every two weeks. Sometimes less. Very much relates with Kokomi.
Slight fear of lighting after fighting Raiden.
Thinks often about Jeht and the adventurer from The Chasm.
Claims the world changes or grows bigger than he remembers. Paimon never believes him outright.
Can’t get enough of Albedo’s company.
A little envious of Diluc’s high ponytail
Would actually commit atrocities if someone hurt Paimon.
The automatic big brother to every child and the feisty lion cub to Dehya and Jean.
Has accidentally called Ningguang “mom.” Will not talk about. She actually found it quite endearing.
Will die, fight, and live for Collei in any given situation. She is cherished at all times.
Tends to usually drink around Beidou, Venti, Eula, and Rosaria. Its a swell time.
Everyone claims he clearly has a slight accent that gives away he’s not really from here. Aether doesn’t hear it at all.
Will occasionally do something dramatic enough like scream in a secluded forest or attempt to cut his hair just to get Lumine to show up for like five minutes. She won’t tell him anything but that’s no excuse to not hug him.
Enjoys quality time with Lynette.
Makes two separate birthday cakes for Ei and Makoto.
60% a cat person. 40% dog person.
Knows a little archery thanks to Amber
May or may not own an Inazuma wanted poster of himself because it looked cool.
Actually has standard Favonious armor, Watasumi military garb, and a suit with shades after helping Navia.

Can I make a request for a s/o that likes to go in for the BIG hug! the type that lifts them off the ground. for Shenhe/Clorinde/Dehya/Arlecchino
(Genshin Impact) Shenhe, Clorinde, Dehya, Arlecchino's S/O hugging them
Shenhe is mildly surprised that S/O could even lift her off the ground, but she sort of rolls with it.
Because seeing that smile was absolutely worth it to her, and the feeling of having their arms around her so tight made her heart feel warm.
Though her ropes suppressed most of the emotions she felt from their hug, she returns their embrace. (albeit much more gently in fear of snapping them in half like a toothpick)
(Shenhe) "It's good to see you too, S/O. That hug felt nice."
Shenhe says in a rather monotone voice, but by how tightly she was holding them back, S/O knew she meant every word.
Clorinde is caught off guard and her body goes stiff as her feet leave the ground.
Her eyes are wide and heartbeat starting to go rampant, yet she remains perfectly still once S/O is finished.
Awkwardly coughing into her hand, Clorinde lets a small smile form once she regains her bearings.
(Clorinde) "Ah...I see you've missed me."
While it didn't feel unpleasant, she would at least prefer a heads up from S/O before they picked her up again.
No matter how many times S/O does it, Clorinde never entirely gets used to their lavish hugs.
Dehya just laughs at S/O picking her up, more impressed than anything.
But Dehya quickly returns the favor by giving an embrace just as tight and swinging S/O around effortlessly in a twirl.
If S/O wasn't afraid to be so affectionate, than neither would she! At least, as long as she didn't think too hard about it, lest she be reduced to a blushing mess.
(Dehya) "We're finally back! Sorry to keep you waiting, S/O!"
Dehya absolutely does not mind their eccentric hugs, always more than willing to do the same to S/O.
Arlecchino doesn't allow herself to be picked up, instead she places a firm hand on S/O's shoulder.
A very firm hand, to the point S/O can't even lift that arm up as she stoically replies:
(Arlecchino) "No need to lift me up, S/O. I am already within arm's reach."
Arlecchino didn't mind some acts of affection, but she does have her limits, her feet involuntarily being yoinked from the floor is one of them.
Though she appreciates (at least, S/O thinks she does) the gesture of affection.

if it wasn’t for the nights!
🏹 07. leave the scent of your cologne
“Like this,” Cyno demonstrated, grabbing three die brandished with Electro symbols and striking down Xiao’s card, opposite of his. Xiao huffed in frustration, and you chuckled at his reaction. You rolled the set of dice, picking out the usable ones for your cards, looking up at Cyno for confirmation. He nodded down at you, and you played it.
It was you, Cyno, Xiao, Scaramouche, and others you collectively had invited over, such as your girlfriends and Tighnari, the boy you had learned Cyno had a crush on. You and your friends were on the floor, splayed out around the coffee table, towering over the game you were playing, while the boys were strewn out on the couch. Your head was pressed up against an armrest, adjacent to where Scaramouche was laying.
Each brush of his soft indigo hair against the top of your hand sent a rush of lightheadedness straight to your brain. Either that, or the alcohol. The laughter around seemed to wash out in a blurry haze, and as you slunk back and forth with no control over your body, Scaramouche began to wordlessly limit you, taking the glass from your hands. And your fingertips had touched then. Surges of electricity jolted through your veins.
As the bubbly night began to fizzle out, you felt gentle fingertips brush over strands of your hair, stroking soothingly. You were in a daze, barely seeing the tall figure come through the front door and watching you intently. It was Childe, having returned from somewhere. Someone, maybe. Kokomi. And Scaramouche running his slender hands through your hair.
People began to leave. Dehya made sure you were in your room before the girls left, too. Scaramouche met eye contact with you as you slowly shut your door, gaze half-lidded with unnamed feeling that you couldn’t make out. You ran a hand through your own hair, and you could’ve sworn you smelled like him.
That sent a thought rippling through your mind. There was a box under your bed you had neglected since you got here. One full of Childe’s things, and an emotional support bottles of Baileys. Dragging it out, you rummaged through it, you grabbed the dark bottle, trudging to the kitchen for a glass of ice, not realizing the bottle was entwined in one of Childe’s sweatshirts.
You gazed at where you had set it down on the kitchen counter, and smells began to intertwine. Maybe it was just your imagination. But this time, it smelled like Childe. You inhaled deeply, and it felt like all those memories rushed back into your brain in fumes. A door had creaked open. The very person you didn’t want to see; or maybe did.
You ignored it, twisting open the top of the bottle and pouring some of the creamy liquid into your chilled glass. The person softly spoke to you. His voice somehow sobered your intoxicated nerves.
“Baileys? Is it that bad?” Childe spoke, getting closer to the counter. You stared straight ahead, not meeting his gaze.
“What do you think?” You retorted, one hand creeping up to clutch the sweatshirt. His gaze flashed it to you, almost pathetically apologetic.
“Y/N, please. I didn’t get a chance to finish.” He pleaded, and you finally met his eye contact.
“You don’t need to.” You simply said, taking the glass and the sweatshirt, moving to go back to your room. In a swift motion, he took the glass out of your hands, holding it in his left as he set down his free hand beside you, trapping you against the counter. He took a sip of the drink, ice swirling and clinking in the glass, then set it down, staring at you.
“I would’ve shown you.” He said, softly. “I can tell you, when it’s time. But for now, let me just do this. Please?” It was almost a beg, one that you had so easily fallen victim to in the past. Your hands reached up and rested on his chest, slinking up to grab his shoulders for stability, only bringing you closer. The smell of alcohol lingered on your breath; he was close enough to notice that. But you were alert and attentive, hyper-aware of every inch he moved closer until your lips were inches away from each other.
And you didn’t stop him. Not when the air around you was so tense that any sudden movement could shatter the atmosphere. Not when the lights were dimmed and the stars were out beyond the sliding doors of the balcony, and if you closed your eyes in the darkness you could pretend it was all normal again.
His lips pressed to yours, and you tasted Baileys on your tongue.
A door slammed shut, shaking the whole apartment. The kiss felt hours long but fell apart in a second as you both looked to the source of the sound, finding it to be Scaramouche’s room.
Guilt surged through your body. You licked your lips, tasting the creamy alcohol still on your mouth. His eyes were darkened whirlpools begging you for this moment. But you couldn’t. You left the glass, taking the bottle and retreating to your room. It was empty by the time you fell asleep, arms wrapped around the bottle.

Brains vs Brawn
Dehya vs Al haitham!
Fem reader
Summary: you, a new professor in the Akademiya is currently stuck between what might be scribe Haitham’s attempt at flirting and the Eremite Lady Dehya.

Al haitham was a bit hard to understand at first. He was in fact, extremely blunt but also difficult to understand. He preferred to be alone mostly. Your experience studying when he was a student wasn’t notable. If anything he melted into the background minus when Kaveh, the most beautiful man you had ever seen, was talking to him. But now that you’ve become a professor he seems to… ‘bother you’. You aren’t certain but he critiques very often including your lenient grading requirements. But you aren’t irrational. You hear him out and stand your ground. Al haitham to you isn’t a bad person, he’s definitely not incapable of empathy or emotions. He is simply just stone faced and a very logical person. Logic and emotions don’t often coincide well together afterall. But you couldn’t really read him well. You knew he respected you but a crush? No you didn’t think that. Until he asked you out for lunch. Which was a surprise but still a nice free lunch.
The problem for Al haitham however isn’t that he’s too blunt or difficult to read, its that his rival is the complete opposite of him. Dehya, a eremite with not a unit completed or a term studied is his adversary and he knows she stands a greater chance of winning your heart. In fact he thinks she might’ve.
Dehya like Al Haitham is muscular but she’s also very socialable. She likes chatting with the ladies and when you started hiring her for expeditions regularly and paying her handsomely for such, she grew fond of you. Not because of your money but because you were a nice lady. She liked getting a glimpse of the life you had, she LOVED how you would open up about the scholars even airing dirty secrets to her in confidence, which she will keep. You two were unlikely friends. While your fellow professors believe Al haitham to be the better choice you just vibe well with her. Not to mention those muscles, oh eremites gals are truly a different breed. The muscles, the scars, the beautiful tan skin showing how hardworking she is.
But Al haitham wasn’t going to give up. He instead decided to read up on the subject of courting and romance a little more, finding it difficult but necessary. He went out of his comfort zone to ask his friends for advice. Which immediately made them think he was some impostor and also snoop around to discover it was you he was pursuing. Al Haitham made a effort to ask what you wanted to do or if you felt like you needed more funding, you were very talented at your profession and very humble though.
Al haitham doesn’t despise or even dislike Dehya, he understands that love is hardly ever a logical choice or thing, but that it is something he doesn’t fully grasp yet. But he also wants to understand it better with you. He likes the presence you bring and secretly adores how your annoyed or angry face looks when you argue with others. He doesn’t mind if you pick her though, in the end he trust’s you’ll pick who you like the most. He still will try and if he doesn’t succeed then he’ll just try again someday when he feels ready to.
Dehya meanwhile is actually confused but picks up that he’s pursuing you. She’s a bit feisty though so it just makes her all the more bold. But she isn’t going to try and sabotage him or ruin his life. She is confident that she could win your heart with her own tatics. And if she loses then well she tried. She’s an adult. She’ll handle her emotions accordingly. Probably can’t stand to see you with him but she’ll get over it.
Its truly a difficult choice as both of them have such nice physiques and are both strong and smart in their own way.

TW: Death, blood.
Lunch almost seemed to go by in a blur. Kaveh and Dehya were just yapping about some random-ass stuff. Makeup, gossip, more gossip, SIMS, and god knows what. He was just tuning everything out as they dug into the nuts, as his mind went to the blazing red glow he saw Dehya emit. Didn’t Kaveh say that he could see others in the color of the element they wield? If Dehya was red…does that mean she could be…what element was red again? Fire? Mauvika? Pyro! She had a vision too? And fire powers no less.
That was crazy. He was crazy. But all genuises are just a little bit crazy, aren't they? He could be onto something! If if one of the first people he'd met at this school already has a vision, then how many potential or recruited vision wielders exist already? And why hadn’t he heard of them before that very day?
His stress was clearly getting to him. Again, Tighnari was a very self aware person. He knew that he was overthinking everything. But overthinking is what kept his ancestors alive. And it'll probably be the one thing to keep him alive too.
Before he knew it, he was sitting at math class. Zoning out. Again. What a shocker. The thing that made him realise that he was zoning out was the multiple notifications that went blaring in his pocket. Not just vibrating, blaring. And it wasn't just his phone too.
Multiple phones were frantically ringing across the classroom. As teachers are bound too, the math teachers forehead creased into a frown.
“Haven't I told you all MULTIPLE times that phones must be silent during class hours?! Kids these days.” He shook his head in blatant disapproval. That was until the infernal noise echoed from his pocket. His eyes widened as he muttered ‘I could've sworn I muted it….’ under his breath. He whipped it out and scrolled through the alert, his face flashing with multiple emotions all at once. Fear, concern, confusion, horror, and even more confusion.
At that, the others in the class simultaneously took out their own phones. Tighnari followed suit as well, scrolling through the news. If it was so bad it had cause an alert, then it'd be better if he knew what it was for. A tornado? A kidnapping? Who knows.
He just hoped it wouldn’t be worse than any of that.
‘Multiple sources from all over Sumeru city are reporting a large strange creature of an unknown and unrecognized species harming and terrorizing citizens. This is not a drill, keep all citizens out of harms way and evacuate the premises to the nearest indoors.’
‘It has been reported that it was heading to the Sumeru Akademiya. What is this strange thing? What are its motives? Around 13 people have been slaughtered by it and 43 injured. More information of the Steambird app.’
And below it all was a blurry image of the creature. Blood stained its teeth red and mangled human flesh wrapped around his claws. It was also kinda..brown and furry. With a white mask. Tighnari didn’t get nightmares from stuff he see’s often. But if anything ever would, it’d be whatever this is.
Naturally, as all children would do in this situation, they started cheering. “NO SCHOOL!” someone cheered, slamming their desk triumphantly. Another kid immediately whipped out their phone. “Guys, group selfie! Apocalypse edition!” “Can we go home now?” someone whined. The entire situation was so frustrating it almost made Tighnari want to pull his brain out of his nose. The teacher, meanwhile, looked like he was having a stroke. “WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE! SAVE YOURSELVES!” he hollered, before sprinting out through the doorWAY. He could hear the sound of him tripping over his own shoelace in the hallway.
Tighnari rushed outside to help him, and others followed suit only to create chaos in the hallways. It wasn’t just them either. Everyone poured out of their respective classes, screaming and running and locking themselves in closets and lockers. It wasn’t long until he found Kaveh doing the same. He promptly tapped him on the shoulder, which made the blond jump half a foot into the air.
“We should escape.” Tighnari whispered “if what the monster or whatever?”
“Monster?! There’s a monster?! What do you mean?! I was just freaking out because everyone else was.” he replied, which made tighnari slap his forehead. He grabbed his hand and attempted to drag him towards the exit.
Then the wall beside him cracked.
It started as a thin line, but the concrete quickly splintered, fractures racing outward like the concrete was fragile as glass. Tighnari’s ears twitched, almost immediately picking up the sounds of heavy thuds behind the wall which made him grip Kaveh’s hand even tighter and pick up the pace.
Poor Kaveh was just blindly letting Tighnari heaven him around like a sack of potatoes, bumping into every nook and cranny as his friend carelessly dragged him around. He could've sworn he heard the sound of something rough slamming against the wall, making debris crumble fron the ceiling. Was this monster thing really legit? Damn.
They managed to reach the bathroom, latching the door of it behind them and heaving sighs of relief. “You use your phone to check Teyvatgram, celestiachat, and akashatube. But not the news?! When there's an alert no less.”
“I got my phone confiscated dumbass.” Kaveh hissed pacing around the bathroom. “Monster?…that seems like it's made up. It's been ATLEAST 500 years since those things went extinct. What could it be, a science experiment that went rogue? An alien from outspace? Rakshasas from hell??”
“The only theory that makes sense here are the science experiment one.” Tighnari replied, walking beside Kaveh. “Isn't it strange?”
Kaveh looked at Tighnari with a single raised eyebrow. His fists were clenched tightly and his eyes lowered into slits as his lips pressed into a thin line. “I just said that, didn't I?”
“It's not just the monster thing. I still don't understand, why is all of this weird stuff happening now? Just because an evil entity might try and destroy Teyvat as we know it, how would the archons know that if they're dead or in hiding? And what's so special about now?” He sighed “I'm overthinking. I hate this.” Groaning, he put his face in his hands, his breathing slightly ragged.
With a look of concern, Kaveh casually wrapped his hand around Tighnari's shoulder. “How about we both head home? It's not like the teachers are gonna teach in all this chaos.”
Scepticiam crossed Tighnari’s face. He was one who rarely cut class. Even when he was sick, he'd find some way to work around it. He even had multiple boxes of surgical face masks that doctors use at home. But there was a minimal chance of classes still going on, especially seeing how his math teacher had panicked.
“Alright…” he murmured, the slight hint of his unconvinced thoughts lingering in his speech. “let's get out of here.”
They both walked towards the door, but a sudden crash through the door sent them reeling backwards from the force of the impact. And it wasn't through the doorWAY, it was through the door. Like, straight through it. The noise of the concrete smashing with the impact was so loud Tighnari had to practically shove his hands into his ears.
When the dust cleared, Tighnari and Kaveh found themselves frozen in their spots, unable to move. Before them, was….a pikmin! No it wasn't, it was obviously the monster from the news. And the monster from the news, had a blood stained, metal, AXE.
Tighnari and Kaveh were glued to their spots, blood running cold. The monstrous creature breaths were heavy, huffing and panting, catching it's breath. It reeked of all things trash, and it's murky for was just disgusting. But it was also ten times the size of both Nari and Kaveh conbined.
They were done for.
Or so they thought.
The minute the monster raised its axe, a blur of blazing red whizzed past them, clocking the thing on the side of its head with a force so strong it toppled over. It let out a roar from the bottom of its throat and flailed around blindly, a deep burn smoking out of the side of his head.
The thing that burned the monster landed on the ground, panting at the sudden exertion of energy, both Tighnari and Kaveh recognising her instantly. That brazen aura. That deep-brown hair.
“What are you both just standing around for losers?!?” Dehya exclaimed ”get out of here!”
*******************
She didn't need to tell them twice. They were out like cardigans on a July, with the creature and Dehya hot on their heels. Luckily for them, only one of them managed to catch up. “So what'd you do to get that monster pissed off?” Dehya asked, sprinting beside the two as they screamed like toddlers.
“WE—DIDN’T—DO—ANYTHING!” Tighnari huffed and puffed with every minute he sprinted, fear taking over his relief of the confirmation of his saneness. Or non-craziness? Whatever.
“YOU—COOL—FIRE—POWERS!” Kaveh gasped out extatically, unable to hide the exuberant gleam of admiration in his eyes. Dehya smirked at Kavehs’ excitement and Tighnari’s frustration as she pulled the two into an abandoned room. Before flicking the power switch of it on, the room was so dark Tighnari could barely see his hands in the front of his face. Just BLACKKKK BLACK AS IT CAN BE 다가가면 갈수록 깊어지는
“Kaveh for the love of god stop singing alien stage you don’t even know Korean.” tighnari groaned, while Dehya just looked confused at the boys sudden outburst before erupting into peals of laughter. When she slapped her knee, that was when he suddenly noticed the boxing gloves on Dehya’s hands that were now a mush of burnt fabric and charcoal.
“Why do you know Korean Kaveh?” “I don’t know Korean, but I know depression. Which means I know Alien stage.” he comments more proudly than he should’ve, earning eye rolls from the others. “Back to the matter at hand,” Tighnari interrupted, silencing the other two as he took in his surroundings. Training mats, an assortment of balls (heh, balls.) and other sporting goods, it should’ve been obvious to them at first glance. But Tighnari’s head was just plain cloudy. Cloudy with a chance of panic. What, did you think he was gonna say meatballs?
Dehya and Kaveh were silent, just staring at Tighnari blankly like they were both sharing a singular braincell. The sudden focus on the boy made him suddenly uncomfortable for some reason. “What are you two looking at me for?!” he demanded nervously, biting down on his lip. “We’re waiting for your plan.” Dehya claimed like it was the most obvious thing ever as Kaveh vigorously nodded his head in agreement.
Tighnari’s face contorted into one of shock as his posture suddenly stiffened, mouth agape in a silent gasp, motioning towards Dehya “Aren’t you the one who has the cool fire powers!? And you saved us, so you should be the one having the plan!”
Now it was Dehya’s turn for the shock, her eyebrows raising high on her forehead as she let out a scoff “I know you have powers too! Don’t even try hiding it you two.” “We weren’t exactly subtle.” Kaveh admitted defeatedly, his shoulders slumping as his face fell.
“You think I didn’t know that?!” TIghnari argued, massaging his forehead exasperatedly. “But we barely know how to use them!” an awkward silence hung in the air, everyone just stealing glances at each other, hoping someone would say something to get themselves out of the debacle. Luckily, Kaveh opened his mouth “Lets just do what we were gonna do before.” he shrugged “go home.”
Tighnari and Dehya looked at him like he was the stupidest person in the room, until the realization hit them both simuntaneously. “Hey…he’s right!” Dehya said “This isn’t our problem to deal with. Lets just walk all the way home and ditch this shithole. Sticking around here is either a death wish or just plain useless. I bet the monster’s gone already.”
“I hate to admit it, but she’s right.” Tighnari concured, his mind going back to all the damage the strange monster had caused, glancing at the cracked crevices of the ceiling “I still don’t like the idea of skipping, but it seems unlikely that anyone would try to take class at this rate.”
“Great!” Kaveh hollered, practically leaping across the polished floors of the gym to get to the doorway. “Then lets go..” the minute before Kaveh could finish his sentence, the door he was about to open and walk through was ripped of its hinges and THROWN at him. Kaveh didn’t have time to react as he was immediately thrown backwards with the sheer force of the door, and was knocked out instantly, stars and darkness clouding his vision as his body throbbed with a sudden surge of pain.
The monster’s roar ripped through the air like a thunderclap, making Tighnari’s ears ring as debris rained down from the ceiling. His heart pounded wildly as he stumbled toward Kaveh. “Kaveh… Kaveh, don’t pass out!” he urged, shoving the broken door off his friend with trembling hands. Relief washed over him when he saw Kaveh’s chest still rising and falling. But he DID sport a massive ugly looking bruise on his forehead that Kaveh would be more horrified at than the possibility of a concussion.
Dehya immediately came forward, fists blazing and a confident determination burning in her eyes “Hey ugly!” she mocked, nervous sweat dripping of her forehead, her brain repeating the words why am I doing this why am I doing this oh i’m so dead in her head like a mantra. But she still held her own. The fire blasts that shot out of her own fists had managed to do quite a bit of damage, but it wasn’t enough power. It wouldn’t be enough to take it down. It wouldn’t be enough.
She started getting exhausted, her chest aching and the fire starting to sear her skin just the slightest. What was she to so now? She couldn’t die now! That would be incredibly embarrassing, and Tighnari would probably faint at the sight of blood anyways. So that meant he’s dead too.
But before she could give up all hope as the monster raised his weapon, ready for the kill, with a whizz and a thwack, something bright and red struck the monster square between its eyes. which made his grip on the blood stained axe tighten as he was knocked backwards. A bright ball bounced off of his head and simply fell to the ground with a tinier bounce.
Dehya turned to see Tighnari gripping a dodgeball as tight as he could, the fear obvious in his eyes but a determined resolve within him arose. “Wow—” he stuttered, letting out a laugh “Why am I doing this? I must be crazy.”
The monster crushed the ball under his heavy foot, deflating it, before charging at the boy. But he reacted quickly, moving out of the way, which left nothing between him and the wall, crashing straight through. While the monster was in a state of distortment, Tighnari turned his attention to the boy splayed on the floor, groaning. He helped him up as he rubbed the new formed purple bruise on his head.
“Mmmmmmhhgg—” he groaned “mwwha—what happennt?” He shook his head and blinked woozily, trying to get back to his senses. “A door slammed into you.” Tighnari replied simply. Kaveh massaged his head and analysed his surroundings, before picking up a baseball bat. “That isn't gonna do shit.” the other boy commented snidely. “And dodgeballs are?!” Kaveh exclaimed astoundedly. “It was meant for a distraction.” Tighnari shot back as the monster was slowly rising up to its feet, huffing and puffing in rage.
Kaveh raised his bat and hit the monster with his bat, but it snapped in half. Looking at the half snapped bat, he giggled sheepishly as it turned to face him, being so close that he could smell the devoured rotting corpses from its breath.
He instantaneously recoiled backwards and held his hands out in front of himself in defence, screaming as the monster raised its axe. Without a second thought, Tighnari rushed forward and pushed him out of the way.
The floor was painted red. Blood seeped through the cracks of the wooden floor as the boy fell to his knees, only hearing the sound of screams all around him. A searing pain shot through his abdomen, so blinding it forced the air from his lungs. The metallic taste of blood filled his mouth as he tried to breathe, his vision blurring at the edges. Screaming, screaming, and screaming. But none of it was comprehendable.
Ah…it hurts….
This really….sucks…
Is this what dying feels like?….
The blood pounded in his ears as he choked on the blood that came up from his abdomen, unable to bring himself to look at the weapon wedged in between his as he fell to his knees, unfelt tears running down his face. His body was in so much pain, yet it somehow felt numb.
Why isn’t…anyone…helping me? Kaveh…Dehya….
Other people make it look so easy…..
Is this really how it feels…?
And that, dear diary, was the story of how the fifteen year old, Tighnari Valukshuna, had met his demise.
The end.
@smileything I'm sorry in advance
