En association avec l’institut supérieur des arts et du design de Toulouse, l’exposition Avant la Fame permet à 21 étudiants·es du second cycle art (master) de l’isdaT d’exposer leurs travaux dans un espace reconnu et apprécié du public de l’art contemporain.

Fame :

Mot de l’ancien français qui signifie « bruit, renommée, réputation », qui dérive de la déesse romaine Fama, personnification de la Renommée. Mot anglais issu du français, qui signifie « célébrité, renommée, gloire ». Expression de djeun’s en rapport évident avec la société actuelle et sa relation avec les réseaux sociaux.

Avant la Fame est l’exposition d’un groupe de futurs jeunes artistes réuni par le désir de montrer leurs productions. Avant la Fame est un autobus bondé lancé à fond sur l’autoroute de la gloire. Avant la Fame est une aventure joyeuse où se confrontent les enjeux artistiques d’aujourd'hui et la société actuelle avec son lot de misères. Avant la Fame c’est des yeux responsables et grands ouverts sur le monde avec des étoiles dedans. Avant la Fame c’est une proposition. Avant la Fame c’est une position.

Seront également présentés les travaux des élèves de Terminale Arts Plastiques des lycées Raymond Naves et Saint-Sernin ayant accueilli respectivement en résidence Bonella Holloway et Alex Less.

Une proposition du centre culturel Odyssud, Ville de Blagnac, en partenariat avec l’isdaT.

L’atelier Ways of Seeing, mené par Christine Sibran et Éléonore False à l’isdaT propose une réflexion autour des images et de la photographie dans la pratique artistique des étudiant·es, à différents stades de leur processus de création. Odyssud invite l’isdaT à montrer une sélection de leur approche de l’image, qui se loge parfois à l’intérieur d’autres pratiques comme celles de la peinture, de la performance et de la sculpture. Il s’agit pour elles·eux d’une première expérience d’exposition dans un contexte professionnel et public.

C’est également une résidence de création pour les deux artistes Aria Maillot et Raphaël Reich, récemment diplômé·es de l’isdaT. Bénéficiant d’un atelier au sein d’Odyssud, Aria et Raphaël présenteront des productions réalisées lors de ce temps de résidence, dont une œuvre commune
