Soft Thoughts with NCT but it's just my bias line
Like always from a black female writer-
Includes: Johnny, Yuta, Taeyong, Haechan, Chenle, Xiaojun, Ten and Shotaro (fyi sm better stop playing with me tf you mean sungtaro aren't in NCT anymore...)
Tumblr media
Bf! Johnny who is twice your size and has to point it out any chance he gets. You could be standing there minding your business and here he comes to tower over you. He has no reason to do so besides the simple fact he likes invading your space and enjoys you looking up at him.
Best friend! Yuta who really is more like your boyfriend because of how he acts. You guys go on dates constantly and neither of you have been in a long lasting relationship because of that. You guys put 10x more effort into each other than into your significant others leaving you both single time and time again.
Bf! Taeyong who has written more songs about you than he has for NCT, he doesn’t do it on purpose but whenever he is writing a song he has no choice but to think about you. A love song? It’s about you. Highway to heaven? Definitely about you.
Bf! Haechan who likes to lay on you while playing games on his phone. He’ll rest his head on your stomach, your chest, the crook of your neck, your thighs; doesn’t matter as long as he’s comfortable and can play whatever game he’s playing.
Bf! Chenle who got you both matching jerseys and drags you along to every basketball game because he knows you enjoy it no matter how hard you protest. Who wouldn’t enjoy sitting court-side at march madness or at the nba play offs!? He gets to watch the game and have his pretty little girlfriend sitting beside him.
Best friend! Xiaojun who confessed his feelings to you on a random day in October because he knows you like cheesy things like walks in the park and coffee dates. The feeling of fall engulfing your senses as he holds your left hand, coffee in your right. You weren’t expecting him to just burst out with ‘Will you be my girlfriend’ but you definitely said yes.
Bf! Ten who literally makes every day feel like your birthday. (I know I said soft thoughts but gah damn) Everyday is a day to celebrate in his eyes which means taking you out and spoiling you because you deserve it even if you’ve done nothing besides order food for the two of you because it’d be rude not to.
Bf! Shotaro who stays up late every night to talk to you because he knows you like deep conversations. It’s 3am and he’s sitting on the balcony of your apartment with you as you talk non stop about what the stars mean and how big the universe is. He’d rather do this than sleep anyway! He loves hearing you talk and seeing the way your eyes light up when you’re excited.

( MASON GOODING. TWENTY EIGHT. CIS MAN. HE / HIM. ) since you aren’t aware of them yet… that’s ( JERICHO BURKE ) wandering around in hollow creek! from what i know they’ve lived in hollow creek for ( HIS WHOLE LIFE. ) i’m also aware of the fact that they work as a ( PARAMEDIC / HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL COACH. ) in town! but if you were to ask me, what i see when i think about them are: ( SPENDING HOURS ALONE ON A BASKETBALL COURT, GETTING MEANINGLESS TATTOOS, RARE SMILES, THE DYING HOPE OF WANTING SOMETING MORE ) if anything, i feel like they could be ( CLEVER, PROVIDENT, HOTHEADED & ABRASIVE. ) it’s really weird, though… because they seem to be hiding something that no one else knows. but i sure do! and that is ( CLOSED FILE … REDACTED. ). wild, huh? i know. they’re hoping no one will ever find out. and the very last thing that i’d say about them is that they’re mainly known to be ( THE BLACK SHEEP. ) just keep a lookout! who knows if they’re putting on a facade!
𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒: injury & violence
𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐂𝐒
full name: jericho elias burke
nickname: jer, jerbear
date of birth: october 24, 1995
gender: cis man
pronouns: he/him
occupation: paramedic & high school basketball coach
birthplace: hollow creek, massachusetts
sexuality: heterosexual
height: 6'3″
fluent in: english
𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃
jericho was born to a very upper middle class family with both his parents being doctors who sometimes have to travel out of their small town to do bigger surgeries in the bigger towns nearby
he has a twin sister who's like his absolute ride or die but he will never let her forget that he's older than her by 4 minutes
growing up, his dad had instilled in him his love of basketball and it was one of their things like whenever his dad would have time, they would watch games together, play together so it was no surprise that jericho absolutely loved that sport since he was a kid
everyone could see that that love and passion was special because with his dedication, jer turned out to be really good at it. like REALLY good at it that the sport became his main focus in life, his dream turning singular: to make it to the NBA
even though that was his focus, he would always make time for his family and his friends and he was definitely like the golden boy during high school
however, right after graduation, he suffered a really bad leg injury that included surgery and that had him off his feet for almost a year. his dreams of making it to the nba went out the window tbh because he's not the same and it absolutely crushed him
that injury had him off his feet for a year but the rehab was excruciating and the emotional toll it had on him had him in therapy for years
like tbh that man became volatile like the years he spent in uni (which he started late because he was focusing more on healing and staying inside) were some of his darkest years
like he became a whole dick, got into so many fights, drinking, partying, did drugs, fucked around, slept around (even with married women), just didn't really have anything good going for him because he lost hope tbh
even his relationships with his family and friends suffered because he most definitely pushed them all away tbh
it took him years to finally get to a better headspace and even though he can still be volatile, i think he has come to terms with the fact that this is his life now. it's not what he pictured for himself, it's not necessarily what he really wanted, but he's semi-okay with it now
and tbh he genuinely loves his job too
but also nobody make him mad pls because that anger is still there and he can be scary mean when he wants to be
𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐒
+ steadfast, determined, responsible
- discontent, violent, dishonest
𝐅𝐔𝐍 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐒
has a lot of tattoos, not full on sleeves but he’s on his way there for sure
spends most of his time at the gym or with his friends
has a german shepherd named bolt (it’s short for troy bolton)
still loves to play basketball tbh and can usually be found in a basketball court somewhere
not so cynical when it comes to love tbh but whatever serious relationships he may have had, he definitely sabotaged them during his Dark Years
it's not like he's a whole cynic because he does believe that love exists but he also doesn't know if there's anyone who can handle *gestures to all of him*
like it's a fuckboy saying when a guy says "i'm working on myself" and even though he can be a fuckboy tbh he genuinely is working on himself because he knows it's soooooooooo easy to go back to the asshole that he was
loves to sleep around though but with no strings attached (he hopes)
EXTREMELY protective of the people he loves
isn’t afraid to be an asshole tbh, kind of his previous default setting but he's now #tryinghisbest
his label is the black sheep because as much as he loves his family and friends, he has always, always felt like he deserved more than this town and so he doesn't fully feel like he belongs here tbh
unironically loves the high school musical movies
the epitome of “i’m gonna do it, i just gotta complain first”
ngl when it comes to relationships, he can be a simp but it's been a minute since he's been like that
ngl is a walking red flag but at least he makes things fun and entertaining lmaooooo
is winter and the cold's #1 hater
his fave shows are all like cartoons omg like rick and morty and bojack horseman
𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒
ride or die
close friends
high school sweetheart
ex-girlfriends
unexpected friends
friends with benefits
toxic relationship (could be a past or current one)
ex-flings

I mean yes but please expand
Okay this took me a while but the cba is 350 pages and I read that thing okay like I didn't skim it (okay I skimmed a lot of the numbers part bc the numbers mean dick to me) but I read it okay? Anyways here's all my thots, buckle up it's a long one, I'll put in under a readmore so you can just scroll past if you don't care
Non inclusive language (all players must be women, referring to players as ‘she’ ‘her’ etc, at least one out non binary player in the league, also no definition on what a woman is so afab? Trans women? Unclear)
Teams can only have 6 players with protected salaries (meaning teams still have to pay them if they get hurt or ill or cut etc) only vets can have protected salaries not rooks – rosters are 11-12 which means half the team can get cut without pay for any reason and lose their salary (this isn’t something that will ever be changed and probably is standard and/or better than other sports leagues but it is worth mentioning)
By agreeing upon provisions (to be set forth in Exhibit 3 to a Standard Player Contract) limiting or eliminating the player’s right to receive her Base Salary (in accordance with Sections 6(a)(i)(y) and 6(c) of this Article) when the player’s disability or unfitness to play skilled basketball is caused by the re-injury of one or more injuries sustained prior to, or by the aggravation of one or more conditions that existed prior to, the execution of the Standard Player Contract providing for such Base Salary – players that aggravate an old injury can get cut without pay and teams that sign players hurt can cut them without pay? this isn’t a problem for established players bc teams will deal with an injury prone player if they’re good enough when healthy, but it’s not good for rookies/unestablished players who won’t get the same grace
Players with less than 6 years experience can’t get trade bonuses from the team trading for them – kinda fucked up
Players base salaries not protected if they’re injured playing overseas, fine for top players bc teams won’t cut them and will pay for their rehab to get them back for wnba but for rooks/not established vets they get kinda fucked over also the fucked over players are the ones who need to play in Europe most bc they don’t make shit, like the players that this won’t affect make enough to not need to play in Europe if they really don’t want to
Max/min salaries should be determined by percentage of revenue, while salaries are better than they were and they go up each year they’re not connected to league revenue at all so league could make shit ton more money this year but players salaries next year won’t reflect that, also unclear where tf the numbers come from? Like how did they determine this is the salary cap # and this is how much it’ll increase like are these arbitrary numbers or is there logic behind them
Low salary cap = no roster space
Players given coach airline tickets from city they reside to city they play and back, and to cities they are traded to (it literally says coach even if teams wanted to give players better seats they cannot)
No airline ticket provided if travel is less than 200 miles (but travel still paid for but like bus/train/gas money)
All air travel provided by the Team (including, but not limited to, travel between games) will be, if available on the Team-chosen flights at the time of booking, premium economy (or similar enhanced coach fare) – no chartered flights hence why nyl was fined and why mercury can’t use their own plane, this is literally written in the cba that players agreed to who are now making a big stink about cathy hating to see a bad bitch winning when the bad bitches in question did this to themselves
Players are paid 25% of league revenue and 50% of incremental value. This is where it gets confusing for some ppl because they see 50% and assume it's 50% of total revenue. It's not. nba players for example make 50% of all league revenue, so if the nba makes hypothetically 600k in revenue then players get 300k. In the wnba on the other hand, if the league expects to make 500k then actually makes 600k, the players don't get 300k, they get 25% of 500k+50% of 100k, so that would be 125k+50k. It's significantly less revenue sharing than the nba has which is what the players have been fighting for, like Kelsey Plum said we don't want to be paid the same salaries as the nba we want the same percent of revenue.
Players required to attend media things, not a max number of things a season but whenever the team/league wants, a max number of things within certain number of days, but players really have no control over their media appearances for the team/league – why angel reese and Chicago sky fined, really takes away player freedom/autonomy and you know that certain players are going to do media more often bc they’re ‘big names’ meaning they do so much extra labour than their teammates (a’ja doing what seems like every aces press conference??), and it means a player can't back out of media if they're not up for it like if they're tired, hurt, physically or mentally not at 100% they can't say sorry coach not today or they and the team gets fined
“Player Attributes” means a player’s name, nickname, Picture, portrait, image, signature, voice or other identifiable attributes and, to the extent that she has rights therein, biographical data” league has rights to license any player attributes and players are not allowed to license their attributes, players cannot permit anyone other than the league to manufacture products bearing player attributes, and not allowed to appear promos or ads for any entity that is not a wnba sponsor or affiliate (so no individual sponsors with anyone not associated with the league) – this is probably a general thing in all leagues but it just feels icky
Must have minimum of 11 and max of 12 players on roster, nba has 14-15 roster – again this is salary cap related but even with the increasing salary cap teams can only have a max 12 players so even if the salary cap gets upped that doesn’t equal to more roster spots
Players aren’t allowed to strike, but teams aren’t allowed to lockout players – no lockout is good since it can be used to essentially force players into agreements that are league/team beneficial and teams/leagues can use lockouts to turn media and fans against players (mlb lockout where teams were like the players won’t play we’re willing to play but the players won’t in an attempt to villainize them and the players being like nah bro we’re ready to play they’re not ready to come to the table), but no strike… icky
Also this is not an issue I have with the cba I actually like it but "No Team shall make any direct or indirect payment of any money, property, investments, loans, or anything else of value to: (i) any basketball team not in the WNBA, or (ii) any other entity, organization, representative, or person, for the purpose of inducing a player to enter into a Player Contract or in connection with receiving the right to enter into a Player Contract." Actual quote from the cba I just want to bring up because this is why the wnba is investigating the aces 100k sponsorship bc they're essentially questioning if that money is actually coming from marky mark himself or if that money was used to incentivize players to sign contracts below market value anyways just wanted to point that out, I'm all for bagging on commissioners when they suck but in this case cathy isn't doing this bc she hates vegas she's doing this bc the aces might be breaking the cba
Anyways, that's all my thots on the cba, it's definitely better than it was and there's some good stuff in there that does help protect players, but there's also a lot that's icky and stuff that I'm disappointed to see the players agree to and I understand that players have to make concessions and compromise on stuff, but there's stuff in there (like having to be available for media, the chartered flights debacle, the aces sponsorship debacle) which has been causing a big stink that players and fans obviously have issues with which are written into the cba that players agreed to, so I think after 2027 (when this cba expires) that there's some things the players association needs to take a hard stance on and not budge

✨Pairing✨: NBA!Colin Sheaxblack!reader
Summary🪄: It’s time to settle a long lasting dispute
⚠️: partial nudity, likkle bit of playful, sexual tension, pretty much all fluff in the form of a hilarious game of horse
A/N🎙️: a little sneak peak of a story I’ve been thinking of inspired by the iconic basketball scene from “What’s Your Number?” I hope you guys like it☺️!
“Colin, if you get us arrested I swear-“
“Relax peaches we’ll be fine,” he winks holding open the large, metal door leading to the quiet tunnel.
Knowing Colin everything definitely would not be fine.
The hum of the AC and low squeaks of your sneakers along the linoleum wood - appearing freshly polished from its shine of the few overhead lights on above - is all you hear in the empty arena. Looking around at the vacant seats imagining the cheers and shouts from fans, you understand how it could become addicting.
“And you’re sure you can be in here?”
“I’m a player aren’t I?”
“Yea but not with the Lakers,” you answer. Arms crossed against your chest anxiously biting your lower lip it reminds him of the you he knew from his childhood. Incredibly shy at first, but once comfortable enough around him - and only him at the time - he found just how sassy you could be.
“Will you tell me why we’re here now?”
A grin spreads along his pink lips squatting down to his duffle. “We’re gonna settle this once and for all.”
Watching as he removes the orange and black basketball, you suck your teeth before huffing a laugh of disbelief.
“Are you serious right now? Colin it’s one am.”
“And neither of us could sleep, so what better way to kill time?,” he responds as he repeatedly bounces the ball. Of course he knew of a better way that would definitely tire both of you out, but with your situation this would have to do. “Or do you not wanna play because you’ll have to cheat again to beat me?”
“I didn’t cheat! It’s not my fault you were off your game that day.” Little did you know the reason was you and all the feelings you awoke in your childhood friend that he didn’t fully understand until becoming an adult.
“We’ll see.” He bounces the ball a few more times warming it up - even dribbling between his legs in cocky yet impressive fashion - before passing to you. Your finger pads running along the smooth yet bumpy surface bring back so many memories you’ve desperately tried to forget.
Although some of your happiest times, the unresolved trauma always had to tag along growing obnoxiously louder the longer you reminisced.
Colin lightly bouncing on the balls of his feet flapping his arms like a chicken is his tactic to spur you on. Smirking as you narrow your pretty brown eyes, he sees it’s working.
“You’re so childish. It’s been over 10 years and you’re still thinking about that game?”
“Fine,” he stops, taking a step closer to you. “No more kids games. We play See-Horse.”
“See-horse?”
Colin nods with that famous boyish grin. “Still horse. But every shot you miss, I’m gonna see a lot more of you. And vice versa.”
“So..basically strip horse,” you state trying to ignore that pesky tingling you feel.
“Yep, an adult game for those who aren’t at all childish. Here, I’ll even give you a one up.” Before any words could pass your lips, all you see is his bare chest littered with more tattoos than you remember. The formerly single quote on his left pec now joined by various pictures and words scattered along his torso and sides. You swear you see what looks like a peach on his ribs, but his arm blocks you from further investigating.
“First point is yours.”
Rolling your eyes, you begin to dribble stepping closer to the net. “I don’t need your petty point Shea.” You stop at the corner spot closest to the rim bouncing the ball a couple more times before flicking your wrist and easily sinking what would be a point in a regular game.
He easily catches your pass grinning as he gets into position and readies his shooting stance. “Alright then peaches.”
•
About an hour later Colin is down to his boxers with bare feet padding around the court thinking of what to do next while you stood in your lacy, black bra and grey biker shorts. Your own bare feet starting to get cold the longer you waited.
“Cmon Shea, before we turn 100.”
“Hey I didn’t hassle you with your shots. Gimme a minute.”
Hands up, you silently giggle watching him pace back and forth trying to come up with something to stump you. He finally settles on a half court shot, surprisingly making it look simple as the ball easily slides through the net with a swish.
“Your turn sweetheart,” he winks passing you the ball once he’s retrieved it. It shouldn’t make your gut flutter the way it is now, but you’d be lying if you said you didn’t enjoy the feeling.
Standing in the exact same spot, you analyze the space between you and the net trying to figure out how you could do this.
“Take your time,” Colin states with a knowing grin. Your glare just makes him chuckle with arms crossed on the top of his head. “Just trying to be encouraging peaches.”
Dipping the ball between your legs, you swing both arms up with all your might hoping for that swish but it falls just in front of the rim before bouncing into the chairs that were the floor seats.
An air ball that of course tickled the man a few feet away from you. “You messed me up.”
“How?!”
“You talking threw off my concentration,” you grumble. Along with your tattoos, big arms, and stupidly muscular body. Turning around reluctantly removing your shorts and tossing them in the little pile with the others, you miss the way his eyes rake over your body greatly appreciating how you’ve grown up and filled out in all his favorite places over the years. Not to say he didn’t admire you as teens, because you were beautiful then - although he knew you didn’t think so. But grown you with this confidence and newfound attitude of not letting anyone get in your way or treat you any less than what you deserved? Let’s just say this moment was the most self restraint he’s had to use in a long while.
“Well, looks like I win again.”
“Um..I’m sorry?”
“I have two pieces left on, you only have one.”
He snorts with hands on his hips. “Only because I don’t wear a bra.”
“Excuses excuses,” you tsk making him playfully narrow his eyes.
“Whoever misses their next shot loses.” Dribbling the ball he begins his jog to the board, but any further movement is interrupted by a bright beam of light shining down on the both of you.
“What’s going on here!?,” a baritone voice yells clearly not pleased with what they’re seeing. Colin’s quick to shield your body from any further view as your feet keep you stuck in place. Your brain seemingly not functioning either being solely focused on your embarrassment and how mortified you were to be in this situation in the first place.
Colin’s clearly nervous too how his finger taps against his thigh, but definitely holding himself together better than you could. “Uh, hey! Um..i-it’s not what it looks like!”
“So you and that beautiful young lady behind you weren’t in here trespassing?”
“Well..,” he nervously chuckles scratching the back of his neck, “I mean..”
A group of giggles breaks the silence confusing both you and Colin as he tries to peer through the light to see what was going on.
“I think we scared him enough Q,” a much higher pitched voice states before giggling herself.
“Mouse?”
Very fitting nickname.
Colin’s confused yet relieved tone let’s you know he’s familiar with whoever Mouse is which eases your newfound anxiety. There’s also a hint of something else taking its place though. Jealousy? Possessiveness? Anger? You’re not sure and equally don’t know why it’s there in the first place.
The light suddenly goes away to show a group of five standing in what would be the upstairs press boxes. You shift just enough to the right - peering through his underarm - that you can see the shortest, and most petite, of the group standing with arms crossed over her chest. Behind her three other women ranging in races and heights, and one man. All wearing exercise clothes of some sort.
“What are you doing here?”
“Well, seeing as though we have scheduled practices, being cheerleaders, I’d say we have more of a reason to be here than you do,” she replies earning another set of hushed chuckles. The man still shielding you simply nods with hands on his hips. An embarrassed “right” slipping from his lips as he reaches behind to press you to his back.
The pleasure seeking portion of your brain enjoys the warmth of his palm resting on your lower back instantly igniting your body, while the logical part knows better trying to push against his skin to re-establish space between you.
Feeling his muscles bunch and move beneath your fingertips only incites your internal pleasure seeker to want for more though.
“Um what are you doing?,” you ask with a hint of annoyance.
“Trying to keep you covered while also getting our clothes if you’d stop moving back there.”
“Oh no worries! We’ll give you guys some privacy,” the girl termed Mouse smiles with gleaming teeth. “Heads up though, Bobbie the security guard is on his way. He usually meets us out here, for safety reasons of course, and he might not be as understanding as us.”
You and Colin manage to sidestep in sync until you can get to your clothes; pressing all of them close to your front seemingly not caring about Colin and his black boxer briefs.
“Thanks. We’ll be out in a few seconds,” he waves. “And uh keep this between us guys?”
Sliding her manicured, pinched index finger and thumb across her lips she mimes as if she’s zipped and locked them before throwing away the key. “Our lips are sealed,” she winks. “Always nice seeing you Colin. And friend!”
•
Arriving back on your floor, the mood is noticeably lighter than when you first left the arena. Colin of course apologized before trying to charm his way back to your good side noting how nothing happened like he said.
“Cmon peaches, we’re good! You gonna be mad at me the rest of the week now?” Meanwhile you silently contemplated if you could get away with this man’s murder.
In conclusion, yes but only if he wasn’t such a notable player.
“Well, I guess in the end it was a good thing your friend was the one to catch us,” you state before a yawn bombards its way through your throat even catching you off guard.
“Why you gotta say it like that?,” he asks with an amused tilt to his thick brow. His fit body leaning against your doorframe prevents you from escaping this conversation and to your bed calling out for you louder and louder as the seconds pass.
“Say what?”
“Friend. Why’d you say it like you don’t like her or something?”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” You did. Those feelings from earlier still hadn’t left, which only annoyed you more - in turn making you crave the safety and solace of your room. “I just met her, how could I not like her.”
Tilting his head back, his eyes study you like a teacher knowing he’s caught his student in a lie. You don’t make it any better tucking your lips between your teeth growing more antsy the longer he gazed at you.
Clearly a guilty move you’ve had since your youth.
“Colin come on it’s almost four and I need my bed.”
He grins slowly standing up while he bites the corner of his lip. The remnants of his cologne hitting you with one final, dizzying punch as he leans forward hovering just above your ear. “Alright. See you tomorrow peaches.”
“S-See you,” you quietly reply watching him saunter to his suite right next to yours throwing you a final wave.
Finally on the other side of your door, your feet drag but help you to your neatly made, king bed. You don’t even bother changing into your pajamas instead opting to stay in the oversized hoodie comfortably draped over your upper body.
The hoodie that you now remember is not yours, but the man sleeping next door.
Hey, forgot I have your hoodie..I’ll bring it over later (sent 4:12 am)
Keep it (sent 4:13 am)
Have a feeling you’ll get more use out of it than me 😉 (sent 4:13 am)
The light fluttering building in your gut at his words is soon replaced with hot bricks from your newest incoming message. Suddenly - with a harsh pause - your soft smile fades as you’re brought back to the reality you seemed to forget the moment Colin Shea entered your life again.
Morning babe❤️! About to go in the office (sent 4:20 am)
Know you’re still probably sleeping but hope you’re having fun! (sent 4:20 am)
Not too much tho since I’m not there lol😘 (sent 4:21 am)

Here’s the Cartoon Network schedule for Monday, November 1 to Sunday, November 7, 2010.
First off, let's talk how many shows there are on the schedule. 34 SHOWS are on the schedule. in 2023, CN only airs about 13 shows a week (not including ACME Night or Cartoonito, but definitely better than how it was back in 2021). But let's take into account that the schedule is broken down into 4 sections at this time:
Section 1: Weekday Morning Anime
This was where the anime (Bakugan, Beyblade, Pokemon) aired, might also include some action cartoons (Ben 10, Hero: 108, Hot Wheels) aired.
Section 2: Old Cartoons during Mid-morning/Early Afternoon
You'll probably remember in your youth, when you were "sick", These shows aired during that time, semi-recent cartoons that ended aired at the time (Lazlo, KND, Gym Partner, Chowder), some imports (JT, Garfield), and Tom and Jerry.
Section 3: After School Cartoons
I would consider 2pm the start of the After-School hours, although some schools don't let kids out until 3pm. Some imports (JT, League of Super Evil), some older, but beloved, toons (Billy & Mandy, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Courage), and the 6pm hour was a rotating slot (This month had live action shows at the 6pm slot) that would be followed by some primetime shows, or Garfield.
Section 4: Primetime
This was the gem for CN at the time. Mondays had the newest hits, notably Adventure Time and Regular Show, other new toons like MAD and the underrated short-lived Robotomy, Canadian toons like Johnny Test and Total Drama World Tour, and reruns of Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays were the days that they aired Live Action shows, Tuesday was the more serious side (Tower Prep, made by Batman writer Paul Dini), while Wednesday had the more wacky side (as in it felt like TruTV's live action of the time) of Live Action Shows (Destroy Build Destroy, Dude, What Would Happen?, and Hole in the Wall, the one that had the families, not the FOX version). Listen, I know Live Action didn't belong on CN, but I was 5, so I remember them fondly.
Thursday was a repeat day for Monday, as they previously had a new Thursday night block before Mondays were the night. but Friday is where all the new Action shows aired. Shows like Generator Rex, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, Star Wars: the Clone Wars, and Sym-Bionic Titan all aired on this night.
If you missed anything on Friday (besides Batman, but who didn't watch Brave and the Bold on Fridays), they all aired on Saturday Morning, in between anime like Pokemon, Beyblade, and Bakugan. Saturday also had a couple Pokemon episodes that led to a Pokemon Movie.
Speaking of Movies, Cartoon Network had them, Saturdays at 8pm is when the Flicks aired. This week, Flubber reran. (the movie with Robin Williams playing a Scientist who creates some Flying Rubber), that would later air next day at 7pm.
Also, yes, this was when back when CN had the 9pm hour. CN had that hour up until the next month. I really miss primetime CN, and how it was scheduled like this.
Here’s what was new that week:
League of Super Evil - Monday at 2:30p
Johnny Test - Monday at 7:30p
Adventure Time - Monday at 8p
Regular Show - Monday at 8:15p

who: Linc & @just-foster where: O'Shea's Irish Pub
O'Shea's felt like home to Lincoln as much as his own house did. He remembered spending days here as a kid, reading all of the ads posted on the community board, hogging the jukebox, and watching countless soccer games at his father's feet. He'd made the pub a part of his weekly routine, stopping by once or twice to check in on Leon and get a good pint of Guinness. He preferred it here, the decades-old pictures of the original O'Shea's family on the walls, the old flags and pendants pinned haphazardly-- probably to cover cracks in the wall, if Linc had to guess. Still, none of the fancy new places in town had its charm-- and the food was definitely better now under new management, but he'd never say so. It would be like, sacrilegious to say anything negative about O'Shea's past, present, or future.
Lincoln wasn't a huge sports guy by any means, but with his second pint of Guinness in his hand, the NBA finals were certainly more enticing than the book he'd brought. With his neck angled towards the TV in the corner, Lincoln spotted a familiar blonde out of the corner of his eye. "Foster," he greeted with a smile, gesturing to the open seat next to him. "Staying a minute?" He'd never talked to Foster much, but Linc definitely knew who he was even before he started dating Linc's oldest friend. As Foster got closer, Linc spotted a telltale scratch on the other's hand and he laughed, shaking his head, "Damn. Misty got you too, huh?" He pushed up his own sleeve to show an almost-matching scratch. "I don't know if you can like... train cats. But if you could, I don't know if Phoebe'd do it."

what realistically would be Paige’s NBA comp? People say Caitlin is Steph’s which both their long range shots are definitely polarizing but she’s not even half as good as an half ball player as he is & doesn’t have as much in her bag as he does (middy, floater, around the rim etc.)
lowk caitlin’s nba comp is dame but y’all didn’t hear it from me
shit dude that’s a great question
i’ve said kobe before (their midrange games are just so similar and she’s so cerebral with it) but she passes more than he did 😭 and lowk plays better d
i’d say a little bit of kob a little bit of ant

I know Reggie was sick trying to Signal Kenny to stfu but apparently Kenny done at know when to shit his mouth. Lmao imagine being Cheryl millers brother having your call leagues Colleagues not respect womens basketball. I know Cheryl smacks him every time she sees him😭
I'm sure Cheryl does hahaha
I was actually kind of nervous about this event. I wasn't sure how people would react. Sabrina was under immense pressure but she was cool and steady. She and Steph put this event together to correct misunderstandings about women's basketball. And they succeeded in doing that for the audience of wealthy basketball nerds who got tickets to attend the event. Without the announcers, the contest had a good positive message about how elite basketball skill is something anyone can achieve. With the announcers, there was careless male blubbering that distracted from what Steph and Sabrina were trying to do.
But the important takeaway from tonight is that Sabrina might be a better shooter than Dame Lillard. And that sounds about right to me. Sabrina is great just like Dame is great. But I don't think Dame and Sabrina are the GOAT shooters of their respective leagues. Steph is definitely the NBA's GOAT shooter. And before Steph, there was this 2x MVP named Steve Nash. And the WNBA's GOAT shooter killed Steve in a casual shooting contest.

I'm sure you're well aware but just in case, have you seen Winning Time? It's about the Lakers dynasty or w/e but the entire trailer just has Magic all over it. I've never been interested in basketball before you posted anything and I went so 👀 when it came into my orbit. If nothing else the cinematography looks great. It's on HBO.
Ahaha you're very kind to think of me, though this tickles me because there is probably no way that I'm this into Larry Bird and Magic Johnson and haven't heard of Winning Time. I've mentioned it a couple times, even posted a picture of "Larry Bird" bare butt walking away from the camera from it. I definitely don't think it's perfect (tho maybe not to the extent that did Magic, Kareem, or Jerry West, who all actively disliked the show), and some of those wigs are egregious (Larry's longer ones in particular are so bad), but I enjoyed parts of it for what it was, and it gave me an excuse to look at Adrian Brody. It definitely deserved a better ending than it got.
ETA: watch it if you're interested in it! There's some fun bits between Larry and Magic, and the second season in particular actually gets into Bird's backstory after painting him as this villain in the first season. It's definitely a "things have been changed, added, and exaggerated for dramatic effect" type of show, which is why Magic and Kareem and Jerry hated it--it was never going to capture the nuance that they experienced in their real lives. If you take it as a writer playing with his NBA action figures and not as true history, as you should with anything "based on a true story," then it can be fun.

I have to follow up with my favorite blogger (you) about Nathan---do you think he was still a realistically flawed character as he aged? Because he became more like a somewhat flat, generic hero to me. Like Brooke was still quick to anger, impulsive, etc but it feels like Nathan became just kind of perfect? Brave, sweet, strong, loving, protective of everyone deserving of it, thoughtful, romantic, resourceful, resilient etc etc etc. And on one hand I get it because he was not just a husband but a father, so they couldn't make him TOO flawed, but at the same time it seems like he grew out of every character flaw and became this generic hero in a way? irl I would love to marry a Nathan (who wouldn't?!) but as a character he definitely became flatter and less layered imo.
You're way too sweet. I don't know how or why, but thank you. :p
Hmm. I don't think those criticisms are completely unfounded. Nathan was objectively a far more flawed character during seasons 1-5. I guess the thing to remember is that unlike someone like Brooke, Nathan settled down at a young age. In fact, he basically chose that life for himself. After growing up with two toxic, abusive parents who spent most of their time either working away from home or putting a tremendous, unhealthy pressure on Nathan to succeed, ultimately Nathan craved independence and stability. So when Haley entered his life and their relationship became more serious, Nathan in turn started to mature. He was dealing with more adult problems while the other characters such as Brooke were still mostly dealing with teen stuff where, to a degree, the adults still called the shots. Then, Haley got pregnant and he and Haley became parents at only eighteen years old. So by the time Nathan was in his early twenties, he was a lot more settled and had basically sown his wild oats. Barring his depression and temporary paralysis which led to the Carrie fiasco, Nathan was a pretty solid husband and father, more or less making good decisions. I totally get why seeing the more together, wiser Nathan would make him less compelling. I won't pretend like I think his story lines during later seasons were on the same level or quite as dynamic as in the high school years, but I don't think it's necessarily unrealistic. It's just kind of something that organically happened. Nathan and Haley got their shit together pretty quickly. Once they'd gone to therapy and worked through everything following their second separation, it seemed as though the majority of the problems were more external than internal? Like, even when Nathan was accused of fathering another woman's child, there was this reassurance that there was no chance it would turn out to be true. It's implied Nathan was a little careless on the road and Haley even notes Nathan being a teen dad who never got to have wild and crazy times (I wholeheartedly disagree considering pre-series Nathan slept with everyone) being a possible motivation for a drunken one night stand. But obviously, those moments were off screen and none of that ever came to pass. There's a fine line because on the one hand, Nathan could have continued to make more mistakes and been the character driving the story. However, there's a delicate balance because once that happens, you run the risk of having the character continue to repeat past mistakes. This is what fucked Lucas during the later seasons. Seasons 2 and 3 Lucas seemed very committed to being a better guy and not repeating his season 1 mistakes only to do exactly that, caring very little about his romantic partner as long as whoever she was fit into his perfect fantasy of having Nathan's life starting a family. So in that way, I'm glad that Nathan proved over and over again that he was growing and didn't necessarily need to be the same temperamental, self destructive guy. Also, One Tree Hill went on for too long. Nathan's arc CLEARLY ended with season 6 when he finally made it to the NBA. After that, they were just throwing stuff at him.

Kendall was definitely down bad for Devin. She loved him probably more than she ever loved any guys in the past. I totally believe Bad Bunny was to piss him off and get back at him for paying her no dust after they broke and she was begging for his attention. However i don’t believe she’s at this stage anymore. She clearly getting good dick and clout out of this Bad Bunny relationship and Bad Bunny is in the worshipping her ass phase which boosts her ego. Not sure how it will last but it seems it made her move on, good cause she was getting as embarrassing as her sisters. I saw on Reddit that DeuxMoi said to not believe the blind, she posts everything she receive but she says when she has sources confirming it and its not the case here. Its true that she didn’t ask her friends to cut him off or at least not all of them. I think she’ll to as far as getting a baby out of Bad Bunny, Kris will push her too, better to have his baby than a NBA player’s one.
she’s gotta leave nba men alone lmfao maybe bad bunny will be better for her

F1 needs to adapt rules before 2026 to close gap between teams Hamilton | 2023 Miami Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton says he understands why some fans are disappointed by the state of competition in Formula 1 this year and said the series may have to rethink its rules earlier than planned. F1 is in its second season since revised technical regulations were introduced with the goal of improving the quality of racing and bringing the field closer together. However Red Bull are routing the competition at the moment, winning every race so far this year and 14 of the last 15 grands prix. Asked whether he was concerned Red Bull’s dominance would prove a turn-off for the American market Formula 1 is eager to court with its first of three US rounds this weekend, Hamilton said: “It’s not my job to convince people to watch a sport. “I mean, I’m not watching it. It’s not boring for me. I’m challenged every single day trying to get back to the front. So it’s definitely not boring from my perspective. “But, as a racing fan watching, I can understand because it’s not as much competition as they’re perhaps used to with the NFL and the NBA at the moment. That’s not my doing.” F1 “needs to do better, I think, as a sport” said Hamilton. “They have already tried to bring the teams closer but it never seems to work. So all I can say is that we’re working as hard as we can to close up and get back to give them some more excitement.” Hamilton believes F1 did the right thing by overhauling its car design last year, but believes further changes are needed before its next planned overhaul of the rule book in 2026. “I think it’s good that we’re trying new things. I think it’s important that we continue to move forward and evolve. The technology has evolved. “It is just unfortunate we still see the same sort of gaps between teams. I don’t know what the solution is for the future, but I think we’re going to have to continue to adapt these regulations moving forwards otherwise it could be the same as it is now for years, until 2026. If we don’t do a better job, which we’re working on doing.” However Hamilton said he is enjoying the current generation of cars now that Mercedes has addressed the ‘porpoising’ problem they suffered with throughout last season. “I like the cars without the bouncing. They’re a little bit heavy, I wouldn’t say making the cars heavy is a good idea. That’s about it.” Bringing the F1 news from the source RaceFans strives to bring its readers news directly from the key players in Formula 1. Here’s the Cartoon Network schedule for Monday, January 24 to Sunday, January 30, 2011.
First thing, 9PM was gone. This was when people thought that Adult Swim didn’t really need 9PM, as they were only using it to air episodes of King of the Hill. I remember when I first saw KOTH (around this time, or a little bit before or after), I thought it was weird, given the theme was instrumental and the intro just had stone-faced Hank Hill drinking in front of that fence with Bill, Dale and Boomhauer. Grew to like the show, though.
Anyways, SCHEDULE CHANGES! The mid-morning lineup (after 9am and before 12pm) has a mix of the Canadian toons (Johnny Test, Total Drama Island) and retro CN classics (Dexter’s Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls [the original 1998 series]). Definitely a great mix for any Teletoon/CN fan.
And also, in the early-evening, at 6pm, a Great combo came to exist. 6teen and Total Drama World Tour. I’m pretty sure a lot of people know why it’s a great mix (Fresh TV produced both shows, a lot of the voices worked on both shows, both feel like the early-mid 2000s, etc.). Too bad CN replaced the 6pm half-hour slot with more KND the next month, this week was also one of the last times 6teen aired on United States cable television. (it still airs on Teletoon [now Cartoon Network Canada]).
Also, this was around the time when Pokemon Black and White was about to come out in the states, so the Diamond and Pearl anime was about to end, this week was when the second-to-last episode of the DP anime aired. The next episode was the one where Piplup was crying that he is leaving his best friend, Pikachu (he cried as well). No, really, here’s the clip.
Speaking of sad news, Robotomy was ending this week. That sucks, given the show was really great, I could have seen that show as CN’s third wheel, if MAD never was really successful and CN trusted Thrasher and Blastus for a second season. Good thing they got Gumball shortly therafter.
Friday Action block was just new Young Justice (a show that lasted through a cancellation and ended up on streaming) and Star Wars: the Clone Wars (another show that lasted through a cancellation and ended up on streaming). the Ben 10: Alien Force hour-long episodes were airing as time-filler between the two shows. Ultimate Alien and Generator Rex would return the next week.
Flicks movie was a rerun of Underdog. Aired Saturday at 7pm and again 23 hours later.
Anyways, the schedules after this one were more notable, only because Johnny Test was shrunk from its 52 reruns on the channel. Remember back when the most aired show was only on for 12% of the channel’s runtime? Nowadays, CN’s most aired show is about 31% of the airtime. Still better than Nick’s airtime of SpongeBob and Paw Patrol nowadays.
Here’s what was new that week:
Adventure Time - Monday at 8p
Regular Show - Monday at 8:15p
Robotomy - SERIES FINALE - Monday at 8:45p
Young Justice - Friday at 7p
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Friday at 8:30p
The Super Hero Squad Show - Saturday at 6:30a
Beyblade: Metal Fusion - Saturday at 7:30a
Pokemon DP: Sinnoh League Victors - Saturday at 8a
Hot Wheels Battle Force 5: Fused - Saturday at 10:30a
Run it Back (NBA Recap show) - Sunday at 8a

Phillips - Well, that was Embarrassing
The Warriors played the Lakers in Los Angeles, and it didn't go well for the Warriors.
The injured Curry still hasn't set foot on the floor, but Andrew Wiggins was another missing piece in Thursday night's game.
Wiggins, one of the three all-stars for the Warriors last year, has been a big influence on the game through his offense and defense. His presence was definitely missed as the Lakers won because of their role players, players Wiggins would have guarded.
This is what made this loss so embarrassing, LeBron James didn't even have a good night. He shot 25% from the field, with only 13 points. Anthony Davis didn't have that good of a night either as he only had 12 points. It was a loss because the Lakers' role and bench players played better than the Warriors'.
But, there is still some upside to this game.
Kevon Looney, a fan-favorite center for the Warriors, played exceptionally well in Thursday's night loss. He had a total of 10 points and 15 rebounds in only 20 minutes of playing time. But what was so exceptional was that he had seven offensive rebounds, the most of any player of the night.
As shown in the video (taken from the NBA YouTube account), Looney is working harder and getting more rebounds than anybody else. His presence helps the team have a chance to win.
Curry is the overall missing piece, and as Joe Reedy of AP states, "The Warriors are 9-12 this season without All-Star Stephen Curry. They have dropped four of six since Curry suffered a left leg injury on Feb. 4 against Dallas."
Let's see how the Warriors do tonight against the Houston Rockets, still without Curry.

IPTV Sports: A Game-Changer for How We Watch Live Sports
Watching sports has never been more exciting, thanks to the rise of IPTV (Internet Protocol Television). If you’re tired of being tied down to expensive cable subscriptions or missing out on your favorite games because of traditional TV schedules, IPTV might be the perfect solution. It’s changing how sports fans watch live games by offering a more flexible, affordable, and global way to stream sports. Let’s break it down.
What Exactly is IPTV?
In simple terms, IPTV is a way to watch TV via the internet instead of through old-school cable or satellite connections. This means you can stream live TV channels, including sports, directly to your smart TV, computer, tablet, or even your phone. No need for bulky cable boxes or expensive satellite dishes—just an internet connection and a device.
Why IPTV is a Big Deal for Sports Fans
Watch Sports From Around the World: IPTV opens the door to sports events from across the globe. Whether you want to catch European soccer leagues, the NBA, the NFL, or cricket matches, IPTV makes it all accessible. No more geographical limitations—if it's happening anywhere in the world, you can likely find it on an IPTV service.
It’s Cheaper Than Cable: One of the biggest benefits of IPTV is that it’s much more affordable than traditional cable or satellite subscriptions. Instead of paying for a bloated package full of channels you never watch, IPTV services often offer more flexible subscription plans, letting you pick channels or sports packages based on your personal preferences. You’re basically paying for what you actually want to watch—nothing more.
Missed the Game? No Problem: Ever miss a game and kick yourself for it? With IPTV, you don’t have to worry about that anymore. Many IPTV services let you watch sports on-demand. You can pause, rewind, or even rewatch your favorite moments from the game whenever it’s convenient for you. It’s like having a personal sports library right at your fingertips.
Watch Anywhere, Anytime: With IPTV, you’re not stuck watching sports on your living room TV. You can stream live games on your phone, tablet, or laptop, meaning you can watch sports on the go—whether you're commuting, traveling, or just lounging in bed. As long as you have an internet connection, you're good to go!
Better Picture Quality: IPTV services often offer high-definition (HD) and even 4K streaming options, so you can watch live sports in crisp, clear detail. No more grainy streams or pixelated action. If you’ve got a good internet connection, you’ll be enjoying a top-notch viewing experience.
The Catch: Is It All Legal?
While IPTV offers amazing benefits, it’s important to know that not all services are created equal. Some IPTV providers don’t have the legal rights to stream certain sports events, which means they’re essentially offering pirated content. As a sports fan, it’s important to choose legitimate services that are licensed to broadcast games. Using illegal streams not only comes with legal risks but also hurts the sports industry.
Another thing to keep in mind is your internet speed. IPTV relies heavily on a good, stable connection. If your internet is slow or spotty, you might experience buffering, lag, or other interruptions during the game, which is obviously frustrating when you’re trying to watch a live match.
Why IPTV is the Future of Sports Streaming
IPTV Sports has completely changed the way we enjoy sports. It's flexible, affordable, and gives you access to global games that you might never have seen otherwise. With more people cutting the cord on traditional cable and looking for convenient, on-the-go viewing options, IPTV is leading the way in how live sports will be watched in the future.
So if you're a sports fan looking for more control, better value, and the ability to watch games whenever and wherever you want, IPTV is worth checking out. Just make sure you choose a legal and reliable service, and you’re all set for an incredible sports experience.
