"Ooh, guess who's here again," your colleague remarked, nodding toward the entrance of the royal medical hall where a certain tall, handsome military strategist strode in for what felt like the thousandth time this week. You sighed, refusing to look up from your book. "Please tell me it's not him."

She gulped, watching him approach. "Hate to break it to you, but it is your not-so-secret admirer, General Officer Song."

"Good afternoon, ladies. I, uh… I'm here today because—" his familiar deep voice rang out as he paused at a respectful distance.

Clearing your throat, you finally closed your book and turned to face him with a courteous smile, finishing his sentence for him, "Good afternoon to you too, Officer Song. Let me guess, you're here because you got hurt during training again?"

Instead of the usual sheepish nod, he shook his head and nervously fiddled with his fingers. "No, actually… I came to ask if… i-if you would like to accompany me to the royal banquet celebrating Joseon's unity with Ruhon tonight, Royal Physician Ahn?"

You froze at his question, and your colleague mirrored your reaction. The two of you exchanged bewildered glances, trying to process the fact that this fool was openly pursuing you, a woman working in the palace, someone who belonged to the King.

☆ Keeho a famous influencer wants to make his radio talk show view ratings sky rocket. So what does he do, he invites two of his kpop idol friends from school to join to do a segment with him. But he had no idea the two used to rivals back in their school days. He also had no idea them bickering for half an hour would absolutely blow up and cause fans to start shipping them.

I think one of the reasons the astronaut continues to be so nostalgic and sentimental to me is because its release marked the close of my bts era— not in a sad sudden way, but like a gentle taper out to an end.

I never biased jin, yet his vocals were the start, middle, and end to everything I associate with bts and my time with them as a group. epiphany was the first bts song I ever heard in 2018, even though I wouldn’t stan them for 3 more years. moon is my favourite bts song to this day. the astronaut ending my era with them as my ults is a picture perfect close.

I think jin is under-appreciated as an artist and a vocalist. because of his personality, we mostly love him for his jokes, or because of his visuals, he’s known for his face. yet when he sings songs like abyss, epiphany, the astronaut, moon, or awake, his voice holds a million emotions and feelings in the melody. there is something so timelessly beautiful about his voice, and for the first time since I stopped following bts closely, I’m really so excited for his solo album. I hope he can continue to shine as an artist and a vocalist into his late 30’s and 40’s. his voice is one that will never get old and I certainly will never get tired of hearing him sing.

deep in my bts era, I always used to debate whether my favourite bts vocalist was jin or jungkook. and it was always funny to me why jin made it to such a high ranking when jungkook was my bias. jin didn’t even wreck me like other members, and at the time, I enjoyed his solos, but they weren’t in the ranking to become my favourite timeless songs like they are now that I’ve stepped away.

although I’m not active in the fandom anymore and have disconnected from content and the members, the music still stays, their voices still stay, always reminding me how bts changed my life in such a dramatic way. I couldn’t even begin to imagine how different I would be if I hadn’t found them. it’s not just about kpop, fanfic or being a stan— finding them was the first time I ever found something by myself, for myself and enjoyed it independently without the influence of anyone else. and the start of that was with jin and his voice and I’ll never forget how much he changed my life.

Chaewon soon returned to her busy schedule and you started being able to count the number of days of which you hadn’t seen your little tiger. 

Then, in what seemed to be the middle of the Antifragile promotion era, you received a text from the one and only...

The two of you leave in your separate directions. Not a true goodbye between you. It’ll never be goodbye. But without the promise of privacy, it feels eerily final. Just as it did the last time.

a/n: holy fuuuckkk i finally decided to post stuff ahahahahahahah after many months!!! raaaaaaa no more kpop era😓😓 also i decided to change the way i write, no more you's and stuff ill be putting i's now because i think ive gotten more used to it :)))

My body trembled like crazy, the soft yet harsh ragged breath of mine cutting off shortly. I tried to suppress a groan as my injured body shook with each ragged breath I drew.

I was weak and exhausted, and the pain from my wounds made it difficult to think clearly. I managed to meet Choso's eyes and noticed they were filled with worry.

He was trying his best to remain calm as he worked to tend to my injuries. My survival depended on his efforts. Choso's lips curled in an attempt at a reassuring smile. "It'll be all right," he said, voice full of reassurance.

"Get outta here, Chos." I muffled my pained groan. "More cursed spirits are comin' and you can't beat them as you heal me."

Choso flinched at your words, eyes darkening as a look of concern crossed his features. He hated the thought of leaving you behind, but he knew that you were right.

Choso bit his lip, hesitant to leave you. He could sense more of the cursed spirits approaching. "Just hang on a little bit longer," he said, voice full of unease. "A minute will make a huge difference."

I furrow my brows before holding his wrist for further efforts in healing my wound. "Get the hell outta here. I can... I can deal with them while you get your ass out of the danger, yeah?"

Choso's brows furrowed as he felt your grip tighten around his wrist. He understood the reasoning behind your request, but he still hated the thought of abandoning you.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Choso spoke softly. "I have to patch up these wounds first," he said. "Otherwise, I can't buy you enough time."

The sound of approaching cursed spirits began growing closer, and Choso's expression was wrought with anxiety. He couldn't dawdle much longer.

"Choso!" I shouted his name. "There's no point."

Choso's head snapped toward you at the sound of your voice, eyes widening as he seemed to realize the severity of the situation. He wanted to argue, but he knew that it wasn't worth wasting time on fruitless objections.

Choso's eyes were wide with tension and fear. He took a deep breath and tried to remain calm, but the cursed spirits were close now. There was no time.

"Just hold your breath for a moment," Choso said, voice full of urgency. "When you exhale, inhale as deeply as you can."

"Please, just get out of here. C'mon Choso, don't make it more difficult as it is." Cold sweat drips down my forehead, my state obviously not curable anymore.

Choso's jaw clenched tightly, voice shaking with urgency. He knew that he had to leave, but he hated the thought of you facing your fate without him.

Choso's eyebrows furrowed in thought, as if he was searching for any possible way to save you. But he was out of options. As his mind raced, the sound of the approaching cursed spirits began growing louder.

Choso's expression was wracked with emotion and guilt as he prepared to let go. "I'm so, so sorry," he said.

"Mhm.." I hum, standing up with all my might. "I can still buy you some time, you gotta run as fast as you can when I tell you to, yeah?"

Choso nodded frantically, his eyes wide with concern as he saw you attempt to stand up. Even for you, it must have been extremely painful and exhausting, but you were still determined to protect him.

Choso couldn't hide his fear, as waves of guilt washed over him. He wanted to protest, to beg you to let him help, but he knew it was hopeless. As the sound of the cursed spirits drew ever closer, Choso steeled himself and waited for your instruction.

"One.." I softly counted but enough for you to hear. "Two..."

"Three..." I look at the cursed spirit before gently nudging your arm. "Go."

Choso's heart pounded in his chest as you counted down. He nodded frantically, eyes widening as he prepared to run once you nudged him.

You nudged his arm, and his body went into full panic mode. Choso turned and sprinted away as quickly as his legs could carry him. His face was full of guilt and self-doubt as he tried to put as much distance between himself and the danger.

Behind him, you faced the approaching cursed spirits alone, the sound of Choso's footsteps growing distant.

With my leftover energy I gave it my all making sure there were no cursed spirits running after you, relieved over the fact that none did it.

Take care of yourself for me, Chos. I silently pleaded for any gods above to lead him safely before accepting my fate.

Choso continued running as fast as he could, panic in his chest as the sound of your cries slowly faded away.

Then, in a moment of clarity, Choso realized what you had done. Choso slowed to a stop as he caught his breath and turned to look back.

He couldn't see you anymore, but he knew that it was too late. Your words echoed in his mind, a desperate plea to protect you before your final moments.

Tears began to fall down Choso's cheeks, as he remembered how hard you had fought for him.

Was it too selfish for him to ask of you one simple thing? To live?

Was it too selfish for him to think that you'd come back from the dead to comfort him? To comfort your Choso who's weeping, mourning, grieving for your death? For the very person who he only believed in love. The very person who showed him unbelievable things that nobody can.

Was it... was it so much to ask of you, to at least, give one last shot of might to stay alive, for him? For Kamo Choso who only continued to live and breath for you and you only?

There was so much guilt overwhelming him all at once. He failed you. He failed you.

He failed you.

That was all the reason to know that he never, ever. Ever deserves to love someone again.

He's scared. Who is he supposed to hold hands with? Who is he supposed to kiss goodnight?

Or was this just.... a nightmare..?

Hi. I'm sure that nobody expected me to come back, and I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting to. I'm just so disgusted with recent events that I want to post my thoughts in a location where anybody will understand what I'm talking about, as nobody in my day to day life even really tolerates kpop

As everybody knows, a lot has happened recently. And yeah, I've got a lot of emotions. I'm devastated to find out how much of a disgusting human Taeil is, and just in general, the wave of disgusting misogyny that's been going on in South Korea is absolutely horrifying.

However, I'm here to talk about my disgust in the state of kpop fans and the abysmal behavior some show. Mind you, i know very well that its very much not everyone. I've spent enough time in the community to know that there are plenty of people who are capable of being normal about their relationship with the idols, even while being a stan who cares about nothing but them. I have a history of parasocial relationships and I firmly believe that you can absolutely obsess over celebrities without being a psychopath. That being said, it's also a very fine line and I've seen some absolutely disgusting shit here.

None of these men belong to you. None of these men owe you a fucking thing. They are there to make you music, give you dances that you can enjoy, and serve you looks, depending on your style per era. They don't owe you abstinence and this is frankly something I've hated even while I was frequenting this site. I know full well that i personally have gotten a little too deep into shipping and crushing on idols. Do you know what happened during the two time an idol that i obsessed over/shipped with people referred to being in a relationship while being an idol? I felt a pang of disappointment and then I decided that as long as they're happy, I'm happy. Do you know what happened to them? One of them could only talk about it after leaving the industry, and the other lost their contract at their company. There's absolutely zero reason why an idol can't live their life alongside being an idol. They're not dolls, they're human beings with human lives.

Now, I left the community years ago. I still listen to the songs I used to listen to, but that's about the extent of where my kpop Fandom journey is anymore. I've also technically started rewriting some of the story ideas I had while excluding the kpop aspects, but that's an entirely different thing.

However, I do still like the occasional kpop post on Twitter, and today, my page was full of learning of a man named Seunghan from a band Riize. I've never heard of him, nor have I heard of this band prior to this controversy. However, the shit that's going on with this is unreal. You're telling me that this 21 year old got bullied into going on hiatus because he smoked a cigarette and dated someone? And then as soon as he came back, people sent funeral wreaths to SM over it? That's abhorrent. The girlfriend thing I've already touched on, he doesn't owe you anything, let alone abstinence from a time before he was famous. The cigarette, sure that's not good. Death threats are so much worse?? Most people have done something bad at some point in their life that doesn't at all reflect who they are now, and frankly, even if he still smokes, what the fuck are you helping with this behavior? Show concern, don't act like he's your fucking doll who's not acting how you want.

I'll be honest, I don't think the people that have or currently follow me are the kinds of people to do this thing. However, if somehow one of the people who engaged in this see this (especially those girls dancing in front of the wreaths uggggh), in complete, 100% seriousness, get some fucking help. You're entering into a parasocial state that is far beyond the acceptable state and has passed into psychotic behavior, and you need to find how to work that out because you've already emotionally hurt people and you're well on your way to physically hurting people, if you haven't already.

And if you haven't been one of the people who have been doing this but you don't see a problem with it, you get some help too. You might feel that you're not doing anything to anybody but as far as I'm concerned, you're just as part of the fucking problem. You might not have engaged in this action, but you very well could to other idols in the future, or God forbid people in your life. This kind of obsession can very easily translate over to behaviors and entitlement to partners, friends, family, none of which are people you're entitled to either. I couldn't fathom looking at this and feeling like this is at all okay.

I can't say if I'm gonna uninstall Tumblr and go back to staying my nose out of things or if I'm going to pop in once and a while as a casual, especially since I'm sure my page has been dead long enough that nobody cares if I come back but I got so heated over this that I needed to put all my thoughts out there, even if nobody sees it

"I'm just trying to help, Scholar Moon," the royal secretary insisted, his arms emptying as the stack of books he was previously carrying was abruptly snatched away by the newly acquainted female scholar.

You scoffed in response, "I don't remember asking for your help, sir. I understand it must be quite intriguing to meet a female scholar for the first time. However, there's a reason I'm the first. I'm not your typical damsel in distress. I don't need saving. While you may be used to women swooning at your feet, rest assured, I won't be one of them."

San stood in stunned silence as he watched you storming off in a fit of anger, completely taken aback by your hostile response to his well-intentioned gesture.

He had stumbled upon you as you exited the royal library burdened with a stack of borrowed books, his innate helpfulness and gentlemanly nature immediately prompted him to offer assistance without hesitation. But rather than the customary grateful smile and expression of thanks he anticipated, he couldn't believe he was met with such an unexpected and vehement reaction.

oh do i have a story for you

so essentially i’m in a relationship right? i have a girlfriend *G* and she’s amazing and i love her very much, but i have a problem. i have this other friend *N* who i think i might have a crush on? i genuinely have no idea on how to differentiate between platonic and romantic feelings, so im just going to rant about both of them and see what you think!

so G. she’s an amazing person she’s so pretty and nice and not afraid to be herself she likes kpop and gravity falls, which is something we connect on. we first met when we were both CITs *counselor in training* at a summer camp and we had both brought the same alice oseman book. she’s not very into physical touch so i respect it with a few exceptions she’s said she’s fine with. she’s very silly and though she’s not very good at showing positive emotions i can always tell because i just know her that well. we live a little bit farther away from each other so we don’t see each other constantly. we text each other everyday, mostly gossiping and asking about our days.

now N. we go to the same school and are always hanging out. we make gay jokes all the time, but i’m pretty sure they’re all jokes. we’ve both agreed that we would date each other respectfully if we had developed feelings, and were both ok with the gay jokes. she had a crush on me in middle school that most likely has passed, and we commonly share and trade clothes, which i think is normal. we’ll go to things outside of school, or school events and just sit in the back the whole time talking to each other. we’re both obsessed with the marauders era and this book, the outsiders. yesterday, we had gone to a school football game, and after it had ended we sat at the top of the bleachers, alone, and suddenly both had the same gay thought at the same time? which was the weirdest experience of my life. we text all the time and about literally anything. i feel like she kinda gets me better than anyone else.

even if what im feeling is a crush, i’m not good at ending relationships or saying no. plus, G has a lot of friends that i’m friends with as well, and i just don’t think we’d be able to be just friends after that.

I mean, I can't tell you if you have a crush or not. To me, I associate romantic feelings with a desire for physical touch, but that's not always the same for everyone. But I think the question is, if you feel a very deep connection with someone else that might not be platonic, is it right to stay with G? That's also something for you to consider and decide.

Either way, please don't just stay with G because you're afraid to break up. That's not fair to anyone, and when the truth inevitably comes out that you stayed out of fear, you're guaranteed to have a much tougher time that way. If you want to stay because you like her, that's great! But don't stay out of obligation.

I think you have things to consider and think through. But the important thing is to be clear once you decide how you feel <3
