Me: Yeah so Harvey liking Star Wars and watching Empire Strikes Back is much more than a Billy Dee Williams easter egg. It implies the shape of his tragedy by placing it in parallel with Anakin Skywalker. A hero, a friend, a beloved husband and a symbol of hope turns into a monster both through the manipulation of others and as they are consumed by their own grief, fear and rage. Both lose their wives (Padmé and Rachel were both believers in Justice and spent their lives trying to work within a fundamentally broken system) both men are horribly burned and their children raised by other people. Furthermore, it foreshadows Duela’s story as the iconic ‘I am your father’ happens in this movie, and like Luke, she is completely horrified to discover what a monster her father really was.

Also me: I referenced Men in Tights because it’s a superhero movie :D

when she's not doing black face and/or racist caricatures, dee's costumes can be some of the best bits of the show. rcg please instead of doing minstrelsy just have dee dress up as captain barnacle again.
