Alright screw it, full list of Kirby crossover Overwatch skin ideas:

Kirby Echo. Hard to explain how it looks with words but it works in my head.

King Dedede Reinhardt. In my heart this one is the Mythic skin of this bunch with variants for unmasked, the classic Masked Dedede mask, and the Forgo Dedede mask.

Meta Knight Genji. Not much explaining needed I think.

Bandana Waddle Dee Tracer. I didn't have any better ideas for either end of this pairing, but like. again it works in my head.

Whispy Woods Bastion. I swapped my ideas for Orisa and Bastion back and forth, but figured Ganymede dressed as the small Kirby bird of your choice would make more sense. Plus, Orisa already has a nature-themed skin.

Paint Roller Lucio. I think this is a fan favorite obscure miniboss, plus it'd be a fun different look for a Lucio skin.

Nightmare Sigma. With every idea for group skins I keep casting Sigma as the ultimate big bad, but like... c'mon it works too well here. The Hyperspheres are the ball form.

Rick Wrecking Ball. hamter.

Dark Matter Swordsman Soldier 76. mouthful, yikes. I actually had a list of notes I decided to check partway through making this post, and I forgot about this one. I think the idea was the visor? Could be cool I think.

Marx Junkrat. funny little guy who chucks exploding balls. Could do a fun detail with his prosthetics looking like pieces of Nova.

Heavy Lobster Orisa. Favorite obscure Kirby boss that never shows up in a series full of recurring bosses. Definitely a skin nobody besides me consciously wants.

Mr. Frosty/Chef Kawasaki Roadhog. Hard to pick between these two iconic midbosses, but I very much only see either design working as like, an edgy slasher villain parody of the original when on Roadhog.

Adeline Brigitte. Flail is the paintbrush. That's all the justification I need to say.

Ripple Queen Mei. Definitely a more obscure character to prioritize but the idea won't leave my brain, I think it'd look too cute to pass up. Also yes: Snowball is Ribbon.

Dark Meta Knight Reaper. ow the edge.

Daroach Cassidy. Hat. Though would also consider Ashe, if only just for the sake of Storro B.O.B.

Drawcia Moira. I mean Moira throws around blobs and sprays of bright colors around, it works. Plus I think this'd be a fun look for her that's not too out of place stylistically.

Necrodeus Doomfist. Felt bad not having a Mass Attack reference of any kind for some reason (even though I don't have an Epic Yarn character here and that's my favorite spinoff). This was the best pairing of "cool bad guy" matching that I had left, but I mean I think it'd look cool.

Magolor Zenyatta. Silly floating man with his orbs and mysterious past.

Landia Pharah. Another niche one but it looks sick in my head. Was also considering giving her Dyna Blade.

Taranza Lifeweaver. Okay explaining this one: sad pretty boy with trauma and a flower motif. Plus they both use grabby magic to yoink people. Works with how average Rein players feel about Life Grip.

Queen Sectonia Symmetra. I wanted to have Sectonia somewhere and by process of elimination this is the idea I like the best. Not explicitly meant for a SymWeaver thing but hey that works too. the inverse height dynamic between the pairings feels wrong though...

Susie D.va. This is another obvious one, little pink bitches with big mechs, little pew pews, trauma, and room for me to project onto.

Haltmann Torbjorn. Another one from my notes I completely forgot about. But like. Yeah no it still checks out.

Francisca Junker Queen. A guilty pleasure choice aside from the shared blue hair and axes.

Flamberge Illari. Listen the brain blast I had when I realized "burny powers and also her gun looks like a weird sword." Plus they both scream an above average amount.

Zan Partizanne Widowmaker. It'd be a crime if she wasn't one of the most canonically french Kirby characters.

Hyness/Void Termina Ramattra. I don't know the exact logistics of how this works but in the abstract concept in my head this looks awesome.

Gorimondo Winston. monke.

Yeah that's the list! Everybody besides Mercy, Hanzo, Zarya, Ana, Sombra, Ashe, Baptiste, Sojourn, and Kiriko got one. Also no Mauga... or Venture... or Space Ranger... look this list was from a while ago, plus none of these are even out yet so sue me. (actually had a few ideas for Mercy, but none of them felt really satisfying. Favorite idea for her was using Forgotten Land's final boss mostly because of the silhouette being... more similar than you'd think at first.) Also I got at least part of each of the dream friends besides Gooey, but like. Literally what Overwatch character reminds anyone in any way of Gooey. Be honest with me here.

This is just a panel that I liked, because of the idea of using props as graphic image elements (there must be a specific english term for what I’m trying to say). Like the pipe here! I just think it’s purely to make the image more interesting, maybe give some depth, since it creates a distinction between fore- and background. Nice!

In the span of two pages, Vash as seen to the left was really quick to eat...4, 5 sandwiches?? This boy is still growing it seems.

There’s noting super special to mention about this page apart from me again admiring Nightow’s paneling style. It is a pretty simple page layout, but that’s what I love about it! It’s simple, it’s easy to read, and most importantly, it’s not crammed with stuff that’s unnecessary and would just make it more complicated. Like, I also love other series that use detailed backgrounds and I’m a big fan of Inio Asano’s work “Dead Dead Demon’s Dedede Destruction” (google it, it’s the complete opposite) BUT there’s a certain skill to being able to simplify. To simplify, but make it interesting nonetheless! And we’ll see that Nightow is a master at that, because just have a look at his silhouettes and shapes!! Oh man I will be unstoppably in my adoration once we get to Trimax Wolfwood, he’s got the best shapes.

Hehe and I also love the backgrounds in this series. Look at these two house shapes! He could’ve just drawn them like two parallel blocks, but no there’s some diagonal lines, and even some whitespace beneath where the houses nearly connect at the top! And that I say nearly connect is also important, because often in drawings you don’t want lines to accidentally touch each other or the frame, as this is just giving that part of the image more focus that you might not want there. So either leave enough white space between it or just go completely through with it. (example maybe to show what I mean: on the left, Kaite’s hair doesn’t tough the frame border on the right. It is close, but still far enough away that you can connect the dark background as one element. His hair above on the other hand does cross the border of the panel...well not by much, but it works. I should probably give better examples but I hope you get what I mean?)

As the red text says: Look at that freaking beautiful panel to the right. DAMN that’s art. (ok well I wrote one image above smth about elements touching the frame and here the sandsteamer is really close to the frame on the left so I DO wonder if it would look even better if you moved it slightly to the right?

Does it make a difference? I’m really not sure. Anyway, moving on)

This is just too cute! Look how happy Vash looks now that the child is eating! Letting out a little sigh of relief <:)

Kudos to that first panel for accentuating perfectly what is being said. Yes, it is very dark out there. Neither the characters nor the reader has any idea what might be hiding in the dark because it’s just A WHOLE PANEL MADE OF DARKNESS. And it needs that much black space! Again, wouldn’t have nearly as much impact if id would have just shown one of their faces looking outside while saying this.

Love this page for the flow, the dynamic. Also look how neatly foreground (BL gang) and background (sandsteamer) are distinguished from each other because of their differenct brightness! (all in all we have 3 neatly seperated layers: foreground with the cars, the middle which moves further away for the reader because it’s darker with the sandsteamer and then the background, which is just pitch black, so it’s aaaall the way in the back)

Loving their comic relief energy in the first volume :D

Rem! Sniff! It is so dear to me that Vash misses his mother so much, and in his mind and dreams sometimes wanders back to her. He’s old, but in his heart, still a hurt and lost boy who’s all alone, missing the comfort of another person he could open up to. I like the fact that they are both laying in a grass field, something Vash probably never even experienced? I wonder if Rem told him about picnics. Maybe they made plans to have picnics, all three of them together, once they arrived on this new world...SOBS

King Dedede x Shy Admirer!Reader - Just Pretend?

You were going to pass out. 

The King was coming to your town for Halloween, and— and you were going to pass out. There was a small parade going on in the main street where King Dedede and his cute little guards would be walking through your town, but... but... there was one small little detail that was stopping you from seeing him— 

You were at work. 

You even asked your boss to see if you could at least see the King... but to no avail. The parade came and went, and now that it was getting pretty quiet, you were feeling extremely disappointed. It was getting pretty dark outside, but you weren’t supposed to clock out until an hour from now, leaving you standing at the front counter with nothing but your thoughts. 

As you waited for your shift to end, you eyed some of the coffee machinery around you. You knew your way around the workstation, and could make pretty much anything anyone wanted. You just wished you weren’t stuck doing this job and had the opportunity to— 

The bell at the top of the door jingled, and you blinked, wondering who could want coffee this late at night. You looked towards the door, and— 

You were going to pass out. 

It was the King himself, looking quite worn out. He glanced around, seeming to have figured that this place was empty— but paused when his gaze landed on you.  

... 

“Uh... Hi there,” he said a bit awkwardly. 

...You stared back at him, blinking slowly as you tried not to internally freak out. “Uh... Hi?” 

He stared at you for a bit longer before letting out a loud sigh of relief. “Oh thank goodness ya ain’t one of ‘em admirer people. I’ve been tryna get away from them all day!” 

You gave him a weak smile, knowing deep down that you... probably admired him more than most people. “W-Well, I’m glad to hear that?” 

“...Say,” he began, “You seem like a cool person— ya wouldn’t mind pretendin’ to be my lover for a while so there won’t be so many girls after me, would ya?” 

...You stared at him, not believing the words that just came out of his mouth. 

King Dedede rolled his eyes. “Okay okay, I know that’s very sudden of me ta say, but I’ll make it up to ya, I swear! Ya don’t need this... coffee job, do ya?” He continued to speak when you shook your head, “Well, I can let ya stay at the castle for free if ya just pretend ta be my lover for a while! I’ll give ya some money, too!” 

“O-Okay,” you said meekly, trying so hard not to blush in that moment. “I’ll be your lover for a while... But, you don’t need to give me money or anything...” Really, just pretending to be his lover was enough for you. 

...He looked at you oddly. “Ya don’t want money? Or anything?” You shook your head, and he scoffed loudly. “Well, now you’re definitely gettin' something after all this! What do ya want? Food? A pony? Sex?” 

You blushed at the last thing he offered, but still shook your head. “I don’t want anything.” 

...After a long pause, he let out an incredulous huff. “Well... if that’s the case, then I might have ta start actually dating ya, you sweet lil’ thing. C’mon, let's go. If ya do want anything, then just let me know.” 

Even though your face felt extremely hot you nodded along to the last thing he said, grabbing your bag and walking towards him. 

“...An’ ya ain’t even gonna ask how long I want ya to pretend? Oooh, I like you...” He chuckled when he saw your expression as he went over to open the door. “An’ you’re cute, too.”  

“Th-Thank you,” you said quietly, and he chuckled a bit louder.  

You and him walked out into the night air, and as you glanced around, you mentally prepared yourself to... pretend, to be his lover for however long he needed you to be... Though, with how things were going, you might actually become his lover, even if you do reveal that you admired him before meeting him in the shop... The thought made you giddy, and you happily walked by his side, thinking about the future...

What other Nintendo franchises did you lose interest in?

Not often people actually want to hear this stuff, I just want to remind anyone reading this that somebody asked for my opinion, so keep that in mind before you say i'm being whiny, I keep this shit to myself for the most part unless someone asks... anyway...

Pokemon is one but I don't need to beat that dead horse again. I think Splatoon probably held the record for going stale, Splatoon 2 felt pretty much like the exact same game as splatoon 1 but with a few things from splatoon 1 missing. And Splatoon 3 looks like more of the same again. When people post videos of Splatoon 3 I can't tell anything that's different about it from Splatoon 2. Feels like a game that should have waited a generation and Splatoon 2 could have just got a hefty expansion, or maybe instead of a new mainline game, Splatoon coulda made it's first spinoff.

Animal Crossing is kinda getting there too but being able to decorate outside went a really long way with New Horizons. I think some of the more important updates took too long to get here though, I got tired of playing when they introduced the ability to decorate our residents homes, which was one of my most wanted features since my fave villager Paula still has her same shitty starter home from day 1. New Horizons really turned it around but I REALLY want the next Animal Crossing to be different.

Yoshi is another one. Too easy. Too much Yoshi Story influence in both the art style and the music. It gradually got more papercrafty. I just don't care for the direction they've taken Yoshi as a character after the SNES era. He feels like he should be on Sesame Street now.

Kirby... ehhh... I can't say I've lost interest, because I really want to play Forgotten Land. I just think there are only so many times I can be wowed by "cute pink puff sees Dedede doing bad things but surprise surprise, Dedede was innocent and an ancient dark god was behind it all", like this is exactly the thing people were getting tired of with Sonic, why is it okay when Kirby does it? I don't want dedede to be a villain again, I'm just tired of the stakes being that high all the time, give me a break once in a while, give me more Superstar level stuff... also I don't think the gameplay gimmicks they've been adding add anything of value, they mostly slow the pace at best and are clunky and make the game less fun at worst. Also none of the spinoffs have ever looked fun to me.

I don't think there's anything else i'm losing interest in, there may be stuff i'm more indifferent to these days but my investment in them was never strong to begin with, like I guess Pikmin, I like the first game, never got a chance to play the 2nd game, and thought the third one was just okay.

Get it with a Kirby back, Guarantee! Chapter 3

Notes: I think Dedede might be my favorite character to write. Not the anime one the LA one

King Dedede of Dreamland, Ruler of CappyTown, was no longer as feared as he was. And he hated it.

With NME gone he couldn’t have any of the fun he used to have. The monster teleporter was useless and put down in the basement. He would often come down here to remember the good times. Scaring the villagers, playing pranks, clobbering that Kirby.

He sighed and patted the old thing as if it were a friend . “You’ve seen days-huh?”

He saw a sort of compartment that looked like it would hold a battery. But the machine was a plug in, how had he not noticed this before? Perhaps it was because Escargoon was the one always working on it.

He opened the compartment and saw a small battery sized box. It was black in the front, orange on the sides, with an eye in the middle of it. The same design was on the back as Dedede looked it over.

“Maybe Escargoon will know what it is.” He said and once he got up to the throne room he began calling for his servant.

“ESCARGOON! Where he at?” He said, tapping his foot. The doors bursted open, but it wasn’t the snail that came in.

“Dedede!” Kirby came running through the room, running towards him.

“Wha? Kirby! Watcha doin’ here?!” Dedede said.

He didn’t expect the alien to reply, but was shocked when they began to ramble.

“I was with Waddle Dee when I got teleported outside! Did you remodel the castle? It looks so different! But I’m not sure I like it. It’s so dark!”

Escargoon soon came running in, stuttering, “Your Majesty! I have no idea what’s going on. Maybe Tiff will know.”

Kirby was still rambling as Escargoon talked. The King looked at the two and slowly backed away towards his throne. “QUIET! He yelled.

The two quieted down.

“You!” The king pointed at Kirby.

“Get out!”

Dedede pulled out his hammer and knocked Kirby out the nearest window. The child went flying, crying out as he did.

Escargoon backed up nervously. The king turned towards him. He pulled something out of his pocket and shoved it into his face. “What’s this?!” He said.

Escargoon looked at the little box. “Why… I don’t know, sire. Where was this from?”

“Da monster teleporter.” Dedede said, taking it back. “I’m gonna be in my room. Don’t let that Kirby come near me!” He yelled. For some reason he didn’t like the way Escargoon held the small box. It was too fragile to be held so recklessly. He had to keep it safe.

Dedede could see his castle on the horizon, the ocean seemed to provide a pretty good view. “Hmm… this place isn’t too bad.” He said. The group was walking along the road towards a small town by the castle.

The other Kirby was skipping along, singing a small tune that consisted mostly of the word “poyo.” Bandanna Dee gazed at the town with curious eyes.

While Meta Knight remained watchful, wings turned back into his cloak which he had wrapped around himself. It was kinda cute in a way… wait. Did he think that? Dedede shook the idea out of his head and looked around.

The residents of the place looked a lot like cappy, with the same eyes and mouth that looked like empty holes.

They all seemed to be staring at him but would wave or say hi to Kirby when they walked by. “Hmph.” He grumbled. Maybe these villagers should learn some manners.

As they walked into the middle of town square, a voice called out, “Kirby!”

They turned to see a girl with a long braid of lemon colored hair in a pink shirt. A young boy followed her, his hair orange with swamp green tips and a pair of overalls. Two sphere shaped creatures, one pink with a bow and the other blue, floated behind them.

Kirby jumped towards the kids, hugging the girl, laughing.

“Kirby! Where have you been? We’ve been searching all over for you.” The girl’s voice held worry but still contained a sweet tone. She turned to Dedede and her face immediately turned sour.

“Did rotten Dedede have something to do with it?” She said, her voice losing all its sweetness. The kids giggled.

Dedede’s jaw dropped at the question. “Wha-? I DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH LOSING YOUR KIRBY!” He yelled.

“Our Kirby?” The girl asked.

“Great King! You mustn't lose your temper.” Bandanna Dee piped up.

“YOU TALKED!” The boy yelled.

Bandanna Dee flinched, “Uh… yes…”

“Of course he talks! Now where’s our Kirby so we can get out of this crummy dimension!” Dedede said, looking around as if he would suddenly appear.

“What�� “ The girl turned to Meta Knight and said, “What’s happening?”

He stepped forward. “We come from an alternate universe and our Kirby has ended up in yours. So we are not the same people you know from here.”

“Yeah. I’m not THAT rotten!” Dedede said.

The girl blinked. “Well… I’m Tiff. “ she said cautiously.

“I’m her brother, Tuff.” The boy said.

“And we’re Fololo.” “And Falala,” The pair said respectively.

Dedede nodded, “Now do you have any idea where our Kirby is?”

Mini Fanfic #328: Cool Guys Always Look Great in Dresses (Super Smash Bros Ultimate)

On TV: (Scene of Final Fantasy 7 shows Cloud coming out in a purple dress)

Dedede: (Eyes Widened and Mouth Wide Open) ......Y'all, am I seeing things right now?

Luigi: (Very Surprised) Cloud....Is that really you?

Cloud: (Blushes While Looking Away from the screen)

Tifa: Oh my gosh! I remembered this!~ You were sooooo cute in the dress, Cloud~

Dedede: (Burst out Laughing) AHAHAHAHAHAHA! I never thought I see the day that Cloud, the cool, edgy Ex Solider with a Big-Ass Sword, would be wearing an actual dresssheheheha!!!

Cloud: ('Groans in Complete Embarrassment')

Luigi: (Frowns at Dedede) Your majesty... You don't have to laugh at him like that.

Dedede: (Continues Laughing) C'mon, boy, you gotta admit, this is Comedy Gold right here-

Tifa: Your Majesty....

Dedede: Yeah- (Immediately Starts Getting Scared Shitless once his eyes were gaze upon the intense Glare of Tifa Lockhart)

Tifa: With all due respect but.....I appreciate it very much if you don't make fun of my boyfriend right now.....(Starts Cracking Her Knuckles).....Or else you'll be sorry....

Dedede: R-R-R-R-R-Right! I-I-I-I mean! How foolish of me?!!! I-I'm Sorry, Cloud! Really!

Cloud: ('Sigh') Whatever....And in case anyone was wondering, I only wore that dress as a disguise in order to get into Corneo's Abode to stop Tifa from being his bride. Nothing more. Nothing less....

Tifa: (Smiles Softly as She Hold Cloud's hand) Hey. If you ask me, I still think you're amazing with and without the dress~ (Kiss Cloud's Cheek)

Cloud: (Blushes Once More while giving Tifa a very Small Smile) Thanks, Tifa. You too.

Luigi: Hey, Cloud.

Cloud: Yeah?

Luigi: If it makes you feel any better.....I wore a dress once too.

Cloud: No way....

Tifa: (Eyes Widened) Seriously?!

Dedede: (Eyes Widened) You ain't making this up, are ya, boy?

Luigi: Nope. I wore it the day me and Mario were trying to help get Peach out of the desert a long time ago. (Pulls out his phone and show his friends the picture) I even got proof.

Cloud: (Genuinely Surprised when he sees a picture of Luigi in a dress) Wow.

Tifa: ('Gasps') Oh my gosh.....

Dedede: Well I'll be damned.....

Luigi: (Chuckles Lightly) Yeah....Pretty surprising isn't it?

Tifa: Luigi, you look soooo adorable in that dress!.

Luigi: You really mean that?

Tifa: (Smiles Brightly) Definitely! It somewhat suits you.

Cloud: I can't believe I'm gonna say this out loud, but I agree with Tifa. (Smiles a little) That dress actually looks good on you, Luigi.

Luigi: (Blushes a Little while Chuckling Lightly) Thanks, you guys. I always thought I looked like a complete loser in a dress...That is until Daisy told me I looked great in it too.

Tifa: Well that's because it's true. And you're definitely not loser either.

Cloud: You're a cool guy, Luigi. Don't let anyone tell you different.

Luigi: (Proudly Nodded) I won't. Thanks again, you guys (Turns to Dedede) What's your thoughts on this, your majesty?

Dedede: Welllllllllllll.......It does seem pretty weird of you to be in an actual dress....

Tifa/Cloud: (Glares at Dedede Intensely)

Dedede: B-B-But I think it can be pretty manly of a man to wear one for important mission and junk! (Gives Luigi a thumbs up) You look good, Luigi. Really!

Luigi: (Smiles Softly) Thanks, your majesty.

Dedede: (Patted Luigi on the shoulder while Laughing Wholeheartedly) Not a problem at all, boy. Not a problem at all. (There is absolutely no way I'm getting in a dress in a near future.....not in a million years.)

Escargoon 🐌

Since I’ve been getting into loving King Dedede; remembering that Escargoon from the Kirby Right Back at Ya series exists, seeing cute art of Dedede and Escargoon, and trying to watch some of the episodes from the show, I’m been meaning to try drawing Escargoon since I’ve been inspired from art like @sockopunch and @loveycloud . I did it and drawing him reminded me why I love to draw things like mermaids or creatures have tails instead of legs! Drawing his body and tail was so nice and fun to do! I got to work on how to draw his head and eyes which turned out pretty good! Drawing him was pretty cool and I thought I could do a cool drawing of Dedede and Escargoon, but I kind of failed a bit at that and made a good Escargoon yet King Dedede looks ok to me. (You’d think I would of gotten better at drawing Dedede by now lol 😂😜.) The bottom right sketch I tried drawing the mouth and eyes first and that actually turned out really good! So good that I did different versions of that! Overall Escargoon was very fun to draw and would do again!

Also I messed up a bit on the open mouth doodles since I didn't have a reference with his mouth open, but that’s alright lol.
