Mulan and Black Widow have landed July and November 2020 release dates after being delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and unprecedented cinema closures, while franchise hopeful Jungle Cruise is being pushed back a year to summer 2021.
Those were just a few of the highlights announced Friday as Disney revealed sweeping changes to its 2020 and 2021 release calendars  — including the decision to debut May title Artemis Fowl directly on Disney+, a move that could irk some cinema owners. At the same time, Hollywood's leading film studio is opting to follow the traditional theatrical course for the vast majority of its movies.
Mulan and Black Widow, originally set for late March and early May, respectively, were among the first Hollywood tentpoles pulled from the calendar last month as virtually all cinemas closed in the U.S., as well as in much of the rest of the world, such as China.
No one is yet sure how long the closures will last, and expect the blackout to continue well into the prized summer season. In one sign of optimism, Disney has decided to open Mulan on July 24. The movie's new home used to belong to Jungle Cruise, which is being pushed back a full year to July 30, 2021.
This sort of domino effect is impacting every major Hollywood studio, and is reshaping the overall release calendar through 2021.
It was especially apparent as Disney announced a number of new dates and resulting delays for Marvel superhero pics.
Black Widow's new home of Nov. 6 used to belong to Eternals, which now goes out on Feb. 12, 2021, a date previously inhabited by Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Rings.[sic] The latter is moving to May 7, 2021, displacing Doctor Strange 2, now set for Nov. 5, 2021. That prompted Thor: Love And Thunder to relocate to Feb. 18, 2022. Black Panther 2's May 6, 2022 date is unchanged, while Captain Marvel 2 is moving up two weeks to July 8, 2022.
Among other changes within the Disney film empire, 20th Century's Ryan Reynolds Free Guy event pic is being pushed from July 3 to Dec. 11 of this year. Moving the comedy event pic into December, however, isn't changing plans to open Steven Spielberg's West Side Story on Dec. 18 and Ridley Scott's The Last Duel on Dec. 25. The latter two are also from the 20th Century label, as is Bob's Burgers, which is moving from July 17 to April 9, 2021.
Searchlight and Wes Anderson's specialty offering The French Dispatch is vacating its July 14 release date and will now stride into theaters on Oct. 16, closer to awards season.
Within Disney's live-action studio — home of Mulan — the untitled Indiana Jones film is being pushed back a year, from July 9, 2021 to July 29, 2022.
Some delayed titles remain undated, including The Personal History of David Copperfield, Antlers, Woman in the Window and The New Mutants. New dates are expected to be announced soon.
Disney insiders stressed that because of the ongoing uncertainty, all release dates could be shifted if needed.

# 024 KITESURF SCHOOL LENÇÓIS MARANHENSES
INFORMATION
The Lençóis Maranhenses Kitesurf School contest proposes a space where you can experience the relationship between sport, nature and the human being. The project must highlight the uniqueness of the place and that it becomes a space where there is comprehensive respect for the entire landscape, culture and atmosphere of the place.
This last point is important since tourists from Europe or America come to the place constantly interested in knowing the place and in fact it is such an inaccessible place that it is normal to make small camping in the area. That is why this kitesurfing school has to allow itinerant accommodation of people, but without excessive contamination of the place.
PRIZES – 5000 Euros
A special recognition will be made for the 13 best proposals, awarding a prize of a total of € 5,000 distributed as follows: First prize – € 3,500 (€ 1,500 cash + € 2,000 MArch programs) Second prize – € 1,000 Third prize – € 500 + 10 Honourable mentions

Site – Pirate Tower
The pirate tower, in Ibiza, is one of the most famous defensive constructions on the island, which every year attracts hundreds of tourists who want to visit the well-known defense tower. Its true name is the Torre de Es Savinar or Cap d’es Jueu, and it is the highest tower in Ibiza, although its main attraction is that from the top of the tower you can enjoy a unique view of the islet of Es Vedrà and It is Vedranell, and you can even see the massif of Montgó de Denia on the clearest days.
Being a defensive construction, the area has cliffs, areas with a softer slope and last areas in direct contact with the sea in its lower part, exactly the lower bay. That is why the place of intervention to develop the proposal will be totally free where the contestant must choose how to settle their architecture and get the most out of the place by choosing what kind of strategy to follow.
Program
It is the fact that this place is one of the most inspiring that we can find on the island, the reason why it has been decided that it is an ideal point to develop a home conceived as a space of relaxation, of inner peace where culture, passion, art can flow thanks to the architecture that is proposed. Being a point of visual, musical or physical creation for an artist (architect, musician, poet, painter, ..).
The proposal can be conceived as an occasional refuge-house or as a permanent home for its inhabitant. That is why the contestant will decide on the one hand the profession of his tenant, then decide the exact location of the house and finally the program, taking into account that they must develop at least the following spaces: 1 room – studio – living room – dining room, 1 viewpoint, 1 bathroom

PIAM Architecture Competition
After the success of participation in previous editions, Matimex announces another year of PIAM, the International Architecture Prize dedicated on this occasion to the Contemporary Commercial Spaces.
Architecture has always been linked to trade: from the first ephemeral stores that were settling in squares forming souks to the current large commercial spaces. Our society, always in continuous evolution, is increasingly demanding.
It is not only about acquiring the product, but also about living an entire shopping experience. That´s why we are looking for a global design that goes beyond the product and that understands it as a whole with the brand, the space and the sensations experienced.
This change of focus entails an evolution of the commercial space linked to these new needs of the consumer. New commercial spaces for new user needs.
We propose to design a space or recover an existing one, whose design revolves around the main theme of the contest: “ComerciARQ. Contemporary Commercial Spaces “.
The company, from Iris Ceramica Group, wants to show its support to environment with the contest. The use of products with finished ACTIVE Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic will be consideredan advantage. And the use, in the projects, to the certification LEED or BREAM; the jury also will evaluatein the projects the quality, originality, creativity, and the correct use to the products from the Iris Ceramica Group.
This prize is addressed to professionals and students associated with the architecture, technical architecture, design, interior design, engineering and with similar profiles with this characteristics. Europe's Capital of Music Celebrates the 250th Anniversary of This Musical Genius
Tumblr media
You may only listen to classical music once in a while, but we’ll bet this composer’s name rings a bell.
Ludwig van Beethoven was born in Germany, but spent his professional career and passed away in the music capital of Europe. 2020 is the 250th anniversary of the birth of the composer, who in spite of becoming ill and deaf, was considered one of the greatest musical talents of all time. And Vienna is celebrating his life and works.
The Austrian capital was the epi-center of musical creativity throughout most of the era that gave us classical music’s greatest moments. Most of Beethoven’s groundbreaking premieres took place in Vienna’s iconic venues. Many of them remain today (like Vienna's State Opera House above © WienTourismus/ Christian Stemper), and Vienna continues to set the stage of the world’s rich classical music scene. Every night in the city, around 10,000 music fans are treated to live classical music at the great music institutions that debuted Beethoven’s greatest works.
In the year that marks 250 years since Beethoven's birth, Vienna celebrates the artist and his long-lasting legacy of classical music with the slogan Beethoven Belongs to Everyone.

 Digital Beethoven
The Vienna Tourist Board has developed a voice application for the Amazon and Google voice assistants for the 2020 Year of Beethoven. Users discover an interactive audiobook on the life and work of Ludwig van Beethoven. Recordings of all Nine of his Symphonies performed by the Wiener Symphoniker provide the soundtrack.
The Vienna Tourist Board and the Austrian National Tourist Board also worked together to develop a smart audio guide integrated into a pair of special sunglasses. Ludwig van Beethoven takes wearers on an acoustic tour of Vienna and New York with the help of Bose frames featuring integrated loudspeakers and the new #RelatedToAustria app. In Vienna, visitors can borrow the glasses for free from the Tourist information office on Albertinaplatz.
 Beethoven Live in Vienna
In the 2020 Beethoven year more than ever, Vienna’s orchestras and music institutions celebrate the genius composer with a full calendar of performances.
The Vienna Philharmonic holds a Beethoven cycle at the Vienna State Opera’s Gustav Mahler Hall. The series of ten chamber music evenings runs until mid-June 2020, presenting all of the master’s vocal works.
The Wiener Symphoniker plays many of the Beethoven performances at the Wiener Konzerthaus: the packed program for 2020 is bookended by his Ninth Symphony on New Year’s Day and a final rendition of “the Ninth” on New Year’s Eve, and includes an open-air event with public viewing areas in the Beethoven cities of Bonn (his birthplace) and Vienna.
The Theater an der Wien, where Beethoven was engaged and lived for a time, will be the venue for a production of Fidelio, taking Beethoven’s operatic work back to the place where it was first performed.
In 2020 the Musikverein will be celebrating Beethoven as well, along with the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester and the Wiener Akademie orchestra – in which all the performers play original instruments, recording all of Beethoven’s symphonies and piano concerts for posterity. You can research live performances during your visit to Vienna, as well as anniversary recordings, here:

 Beethoven in Photos
Ludwig van Beethoven moved to Vienna to advance his career in the Music Capital with the renowned Haydn when he was only 22, and lived out his life there. So there are many monuments to the famous composer in Vienna. You’ll want to post images of all things Beethoven during your visit, including these famous Beethoven locations.
Beethoven Memorial in Beethoven Park Beethovenplatz, 1030 Vienna
Unveiled in 1880, this monument was paid for in part by one of Beethoven’s high-profile colleagues from the world of music. A committed Beethoven fan, Franz Liszt used the proceeds from his last public concert on March 16, 1877 (marking the 50th anniversary of Beethoven’s death) to complete the memorial.
Beethoven Museum - Probusgasse 6, 1190 Vienna, www.wienmuseum.at
In Beethoven’s day, Heiligenstadt was a popular spa destination beyond the old city walls, although today it’s part of the city. He retreated here as therapy for his ailments. The Beethoven Museum opened in one of his former residences.
Pasqualati House Mölker Bastei 8, 1010 Vienna, www.wienmuseum.at
Baron von Pasqualati provided cheap lodgings for his friend Beethoven to use, which the composer returned to on multiple occasions.
Theater an der Wien - Linke Wienzeile 6, 1060 Vienna, www.theater-wien.at
This theater was an important venue for concerts of all descriptions. Several of Beethoven’s works made their debuts here, including his violin concerto and Fidelio – his only opera.
Beethoven’s grave - Central Cemetery, Simmeringer Hauptstrasse 234, 1110 Vienna
Beethoven lies in rest in a grave of honor next to Franz Schubert’s final resting place, with a memorial to Mozart – who was buried elsewhere – installed between them.

Watch Now: CBS Sports Reveals Preseason Top 76 Teams: Team Least Deserving Of Top Three Ranking (3:00)
A Pac-12 football coach called recently, almost frantic. “You’ve got to expand rosters,” he said. “Gotta have more.” He was speaking of the near certainty that athletes in fall sports will be granted some kind of eligibility relief amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The NCAA Division I Council is expected to formally recommend that additional year of eligibility at its Wednesday meeting. The NCAA Board of Governors could adopt the measure as early as Friday.
The rule would apply to all fall sports including football possibly being played in spring 2021 by the Big Ten, Pac-12 and Mountain West.
As always seems to be the case with these complicated NCAA issues, there are qualifiers.
That Pac-12 coach was worried about his seniors being given an extra year of eligibility because his 2021 roster will eventually be populated a new recruiting class. If a significant number of would-be graduating seniors stayed for an extra year, the coach suggested he might need 100 scholarships as opposed to the limit is 85. And that roster relief may need to extend past 2021.
That might make perfect sense. It also might upend the sport.
“This isn’t a normal year,” said West Virginia athletic director Shane Lyons, a member of the NCAA Council. “If we’re really serving the student-athletes, why not just give this year of eligibility? The downside is people are going to say you’re going to have an issue at the back end with a [roster] bottleneck. That always works itself out.”
In this one-off year, a lot of things may have to “work out.” The council recommended last week that athletes who opt out of the season or appear in less than 50% of their scheduled games could get back that year of eligibility.
But why apply any limits at all? The athletes have been through hell this year. Lyons is in favor of a blanket year of eligibility without any limitations.
“Given what we’re facing right now, let’s ease the mind of the student-athlete,” said Lyons, who is also the chairman the NCAA Division I Football Oversight Committee.
Coaches are worried about having to shoehorn in extra scholarships. They won’t say it out loud, but they might not want all those seniors back. In that sense, they would have to be held to an ethical standard. They can’t be allowed to switch those extra scholarships to the most talented players.
“If you’re going to do something like that, you’ve got to link [eligibility] to kids who got screwed by COVID,” said a former member of the council.
ADs will have to decide if they want to extend financial aid that carries over to that extra year.
Shortly after the NCAA canceled its basketball tournament in March, it probably made its most positive public relations move of this pandemic. It issued a blanket eligibility waiver for seniors playing spring sports. They all got an extra year of eligibility.
However, schools were given the option of covering that extra year with scholarship money. Wisconsin didn’t seek waivers for an extra year, essentially ending seniors’ careers in the middle of a pandemic.
At the time, Wisconsin AD Barry Alvarez called the NCAA’s move “an overreaction.”
That same financial stress extends to this decision. Schools now know better the length and breadth of their budget shortfalls.
They may be in favor of that extra year of eligibility, but if they’re not willing to back it up with scholarship money, what’s the point?
Such a consideration would impact fifth-year seniors and those who have already burned their redshirt year. Athletes have five years to play their four seasons of eligibility. The Power Five conferences already guarantee four-year scholarships.
Lyons said he’s not sure what kind of support there is for mandating scholarship money to go along with that extra year of eligibility.
Not all those players are going to want to return, of course. Some will see that 50% threshold and drop out before hitting it, preserving their eligibility but adding more roster concerns by coaches.
In football, playing 50% of the contests normally equals six games — half of a 12-game regular season — but none of the active FBS conferences are playing a full schedule. The council could end up at 50%, extend it to 75% or issue that blanket waiver.
“Am I going to get five games into this and feel, ‘This is really dumb. Did I just waste a year of eligibility?’ that former council member proposed. “I don’t think we should be having to ask that last question. I think we should give them [blanket] relief from having to worry about that.”
There is also the question of what to do with early enrollees in football. Some Big Ten, Pac-12 and Mountain West athletes could theoretically play two seasons in one calendar year. Would those freshmen enrolling in January be burning two years of eligibility before 2022?
“Good question,” Lyons said. “We need to answer that regardless of the 50% rule or a free year of eligibility.”
From the beginning, coaches have been concerned about roster management meshing with that extra year of eligibility. The NCAA has extended the current recruiting dead period to Sept. 30. It’s not clear how signing day(s) would work with football being divided into two semesters.
It’s possible FBS teams may be playing games during both signing periods as currently scheduled: Dec. 16 and Feb. 3.
“I hope they grant eligibility back, then I would hope they would help coaches with roster management,” North Carolina coach Mack Brown said. “One over [the 85 limit] is too many. Then you’ve got to go back and tell someone you’ve offered a scholarship that you can’t take them.”
“Coaches are going to want, want, want,” Lyons concluded. “We’re going to have to adjust. We’re not going to use COVID as an excuse for everything. Some can argue right now that 85 is too many.”
