social survey time. in 2000s there was a german videogame called zanzarah about a girl who lives in london and travels to the fairy land to save the humanity. i played it when i was five. it was my first encounter with art. if you could disassemble my persona this game would lie at its fundament. it has the most beautiful ost ever called come with me by karina gretere, and when i watched tamb it popped in my head for the first time in many years. i wrote a comment about it under the song hoping that maybe one day one person will understand me..... and got 7 likes????? maybe i live under a rock but in my 24 years of life i have not met a single person who knew zanzarah, and now i meet SEVEN who know zanzarah AND tamb??????? is..... is there some sort of link....... did the eight of us end up in tamb because of zanzarah.........

I think protentially Ghost writer have protential to become the strongest ghost in the Verse. Like imagine if he is masters of the stories, god of stories. lost half my evening to learning that the orangey bits a cattle egret gets in springtime isn't pigment in the feathers but probably topically applied and wanting to know if anyone knew HOW/what substance. as far as i can tell: no, but some guys in 1963 speculated a different species could be getting it from the gland that makes the oils birds put on their feathers or something called a powder down patch (hidden feathers that continously grow and break down into a fine dust at the ends) and i think we're just kind of rolling with that. they for sure for sure do not suddenly grow orange feathers in the spring.

Luigi Mangione is expected to face federal charges in the coming days — on top of the first-degree New York state murder charge he was hit with Tuesday, according to law enforcement sources. Sources told The Post federal prosecutors have secured an indictment from a grand jury against the 26-year-old, who allegedly gunned down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on a midtown Manhattan street on Dec. 4. Part of the reason the feds have pursued the case is because it could allow them to ask for the death penalty in the high-profile slaying, sources noted. New York got rid of the death penalty in 2004, but federal authorities can still push to ask juries to impose capital punishment in certain murder cases. It’s unclear what federal charges Mangione will face, or when the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York will unseal the indictment.  A spokesperson for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said the “state case will proceed in parallel with any federal case” in a statement to The Post.

It’s so amusing to me when characters within comics use the fun-trivia-for-fans maps. Like technically that’s a perfectly good canon map. But when Jim Gordon uses it he feels like a tourist to me.

'46: Marion Hicks and Lt. Gov. Cliff Jones purchase property for a planned Nevada Ambassador hotel on 3/11/46. The property was bought from Guy McAfee, Art Ham, and J.K. Houssels who had planned a hotel called Casa de Oro. Sale price is rumored $85,000.

'47: Officers of Thunderbird are a Las Vegas and Los Angeles group, Hicks, Jones, V. Sayer, J. Lane, P. Wagoner, J. Wells (Reno), and J. Kozloff. Hicks as builder. Construction begins on 46 acre lot in Oct.

'48: Thunderbird opens 9/2/48. 107 rooms, 75-foot observation tower. Signs by Graham Sign Co (RJ 8/18/48).

'53: Hicks builds the spin-off Algiers Hotel.

'58: renovation, adding new second floor over casino framed in rectangular box, new porte-cochère. New signs by Western Neon (RJ 11/24/58, RJ 12/24/58).

'59: “Thunderbird” logo changed, road sign replaced in Fall. 4-floor wing addition on the southeast property.

'61: road sign moved to the front-center of the hotel, fire-shooting stick added to both birds.

El Rancho, '82-'92

'82: Sole owner Torres is approved in Apr. to reopen the hotel as El Rancho. Construction on a new tower, and work changing the sign begins in May.

'82: Aug. 31, Opening of El Rancho Hotel & Casino.

'88: Tower addition, 13 stories, 587 rooms. Hotel total: 1,077 rooms. Though the opening date of the tower is unknown, it was used for only about four years.

'92: Closed Jul. 6.

2000: Tower demolished, Oct. 3. After the site was cleared the El Rancho sign remained, covered with advertised for Turnberry Place until '04 or '05.
