Back to my WandaVision era
Anyone can be Mephisto.
Maybe it’s the Teen who suspiciously can’t reveal who he is… maybe that’s a ruse to think he’s Billy Maximoff prevented by Mephisto while he’s actually
MEPHISTO
Maybe it’s Mrs. Not Hart 👀👀👀
Rio is also sus too
Tumblr media
Edit after finale: No Mephisto again 😂

I’m definitely invested in Disney Plus’s Agatha All Along. I really enjoyed the first two episodes. I’ve never let the negative criticism of others prevent me from watching something that I may actually like. It also seems that Marvel projects headlined by a primarily female cast and crew are subject to unfair scrutiny by certain groups, and honestly, I have enjoyed their super heroine endeavors a lot more than other offerings from the MCU. Agatha is smart, clever, and thought-provoking, so I can understand how other people may take offense to that. I look forward to more episodes of the show, and seeing where the Witches’ Road leads.
Tumblr media
Viewers speculate that Aubrey Plaza’s Rio Vidal is either a genderbent Emerald Warlock, or possibly his offspring. My guess is that she’s Gaea, and one of Agatha’s old flames.

Teen is either Wiccan/Billy Kaplan, or Agatha’s son, the Darkhold. Being that the Scarlet Witch destroyed all copies of the Darkhold in existence, it’s possible. I’m leaning towards Billy, judging on the telephone call he received from his boyfriend.

Spoilers - Casting summary
I had a good look through Agatha's credits on IMDB. Now I don't know how much we can believe them and how much Marvel wants to hide/troll us. It is also expected that the names will only be added there once the episodes had aired. But there could be some interesting conclusions based on the current listings...
Tumblr media
Kathryn Hahn - credited for all 9 episodes (phew) - her backstory (and therefore the Spirit trial) has been rumoured to be in ep.7 but I think it's actually ep.6 (that's also the one that has the Intimacy Coordinator - it would make sense they would need one to explain Agatha x Rio history - a girl can hope!).
Tumblr media
Joe Locke - credited for all 9 episodes (btw, my theory is his story will be revealed in ep.5 - the slumber party one. I think we will see a flashback of him trying to open the Witches' Road all by himself, and we possibly start seeing his blue power on the Road)
Tumblr media
Sasheer Zamata - credited for 8 episodes (obvs didn't appear in the first one). I can actually well believe that because I think she'll be with us until at least ep.8 (because I think that's the hospital/asylum one) and we also see her in a promo scene where they somehow end up back at the start of the Road and Agatha trips over someone's shoes, with Jen and Teen walking behind her
Tumblr media
Ali - credited for 8 episodes (obvs didn't appear in the first one) - this one I am a little dubious, because I have a feeling Alice will disappear at some point, probably during ep5 (80s slumber party). There were images of her wielding her power (fiery orange), probably attacking/protecting someone. But we can't see her in any of the later episodes promos. We do however see Agatha using a bit of red magic. Also, in the end credits, for split second there is "Can you talk to the Dead?" text above the pentacle. We expect ouija board to appear in ep.5, spelling "Death". So this could be some foreshadowing?
Tumblr media
Patti - credited for 8 episodes (obvs didn't appear in the first one) - I think Lilia is with us until at least ep.7 (or 6, depends on what info you believe) - that's the one I believe to be her tarot trial (and we see Agatha as the Wicked Witch of the West and Jen looks like the Evil Queen hag from Snow White). And in one oh his interviews, when asked about his favourite episode and why, Joe Locke says "episode 7, Patit Lupone". So I hope this is going to be good!
Tumblr media
Debra - unfortunately, she seems to be only credited for 3 episodes. But I still hope this is Marvel being secretive and that Sharon comes back at least as the "spirit-guide" at some point.
Tumblr media
Aubrey - credited for 7 episodes - so every one except for ep.2 & 3. Which is interesting if true - because I vaguely remember people saying she was credited for 8 episodes, making them think that Rio was the Death figure we saw in ep.3 Lilia's nightmare. So maybe she's not Death or maybe Marvel is trolling. I am also not sure how long Rio stays with us - I believe ep.8 is Earth trial (AND it's the second episode that will have the Intimacy Coordinator...!!!!!) but the episode seems Jen-centred and Rio is nowhere to be seen.
Tumblr media
Okwui - credited for 7 episodes. She is Vertigo - the head of Salem Seven. She was briefly seen in ep.2 and, if the credits are right, she will now appear in every future episode - probably hunting the coven along the Road. Sounds like they have a bigger part than I originally thought, I'm excited to find out why they are chasing them - and is it really Agatha? Or maybe they are chasing Teen instead? Her animal form is Cicada, which is interesting, because does anyone remember - the mysterious cicada appeared a couple of times in Wandavision!
There is one final slot in the end credit that has not been filled so far:
Tumblr media
People were hoping it was Wanda (doubtful) or... Mephisto?
So in the IMDB credits there is only other name who is assigned to a a significant number of episodes and that is :
Tumblr media
Paul Adelstein - credited to 6 episodes, so he should appear in all of the future episodes, starting with ep4! He does not have a character name, but when you search for him, some sources say he plays Jeff Kaplan - so Teen's father if he's Billy. But would Jeff really get such an amount of screen time? And possibly his own end credit shot? I think there is more to him and that he might end up being a significant character, Mephisto or not. I would actually LOOOOVE him to be Nicholas Scratch, leading on his Salem Seven!
Or we are being blindsided and there is a secret character nobody knows of!
There are other actors where we know data is potentially incomplete:
Maria Dizzia is nowhere to be seen but she's supposed to be Teen's mother, Rebecca Kaplan. She appeared in the premiere carpet event, but could it be Marvel actually doing some more trolling...
Chloe Camp - she plays young Lilia, we saw her in ep.3 and she's said to have a recurring role, but IMDB only credits her for that one episode. I think it's probably because Marvel doesn't want to tell us which week we get the tarot trial
Scott Butler - he plays the Doctor from Jen's nightmare. Again, only credited for that one episode, but he's likely to come back to explain Jen's story?

Agatha All Along Episodes 1 & 2 thoughts
I thought the fake crime show bit went on too long in the first episode, even though it was nice to see our WandaVision pals. I kind of want a whole show of them humoring "Agnes" while she thinks she's in various TV shows.
Thought things picked up more in episode 2 when the other witches were introduced. Sasheer and Patti's characters seemed to arrive fully formed. Happy Sharon (Debra Jo Rupp) is coming--though I knew that from the press tour. She's just fun. And her singing the song while fleeing in terror from the Salem Seven is a mood.
Worried she will die because Rio is really the green witch of the coven. (and by that logic, if "teen" is indeed billy then he could take alice's place as the "blood witch"' since he got his powers from mama.)
I think that's it so far. Fun but not mind blowing. Yay witches.

‘SALEM’S LOT (2024)
Starring Lewis Pullman, Makenzie Leigh, Alfre Woodard, John Benjamin Hickey, Bill Camp, Jordan Preston Carter, Nicholas Crovetti, Spencer Treat Clark, William Sadler, Pilou Asbæk, Alexander Ward, Danielle Perry, Debra Christofferson, Cade Woodward, Joseph Marrella, Derek Mears, Timothy John Smith, Mike Kaz, Declan Lemerande and Oliver Dauberman.
Screenplay by Gary Dauberman.
Directed by Gary Dauberman.
Distributed by Max. 113 minutes. Rated R.
I have been a Stephen King fan for well over 40 years now, and ‘Salem’s Lot was my introduction to his writing, and is still my favorite King novel, although I feel that he has many other classics. I’ve read it several times over the years, most recently a few years ago. As far as I am concerned, it’s a nearly perfect horror novel.
‘Salem’s Lot was the second book that King had published, although I seem to remember hearing that he wrote it before he wrote Carrie, which was his breakthrough novel. And, as is generally the case with King’s books, ever since Hollywood has been trying to tame the story and bring it to the screen.
This is the third version of ‘Salem’s Lot to be filmed, although the first two times it was done as a television miniseries. The original – and probably the best – version was done in 1979 on network television with David Soul, James Mason and Bonnie Bedelia. It was directed by legendary horror filmmaker Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poltergeist). Since it was on old-time TV, it was a little slow-moving and not very violent, but it still had a few legendary scares.
In 2004, it was made as a miniseries for a cable network (TNT), so the makers were free to play with the violence, language, etc. It was extremely well cast – Rob Lowe, Andre Braugher, Donald Sutherland and James Cromwell – and faster-paced than the earlier series, but it strayed from the original storyline and eventually didn’t quite work.
Now, it has been made as a movie. Actually, it was made a couple of years ago and has been on the shelf at Warner Brothers for a long time. It was originally planned for theatrical release, then was pulled from release for quite a while, making it seem it would never see the light of day. Eventually, Warner Brothers decided they had already made it, may as well release it on their Max streaming service.
Honestly, the new ‘Salem’s Lot is a reminder of why Stephen King’s novels rarely work well as two-hour movies. There is just way too much of this storyline which is just skipped over. Major plot threads (like the history of the infamous haunted Marsten House) and characters are either downplayed or completely ignored. Without the background information, things happen way too quickly in the film and much of the plot makes little or no sense.
It should be noted that the original director’s cut was apparently three hours long, and honestly if the original edit were ever released (which I sincerely doubt considering the trouble it took to just get the movie released at all), I’ll bet the ‘Salem’s Lot movie would be a lot better, or at the very least a lot more understandable.
Maybe if you have never read the book or seen any of the previous versions, ‘Salem’s Lot would be worth the watch. Personally, I think it’s just okay but given the choice I’d rather just rewatch the 1979 version – which conveniently Max added to its service together with the new movie. Better still, just read the novel.

social science disciplines
By Rachel Shannon
The two social science disciplines I have chosen for my topic are geography and sociology. When it comes to geography, the way to break it down is by understanding cultural geography. Cultural geography is the relationship between culture and place. How cultures are distributed over space, how places and identities are produced, how people make sense of places and build sense of place, and how people produce and communicate knowledge and meaning (Rogers, A., Castree, N., Kitchin, r. 2013). Cultural geography explores the different cultures around the world and their relationship to natural environments. It's important to study sociology in order to better understand social differences and social behavior. The relevance of social hierarchies and social power in everyday life. Geography and sociology go hand in hand because landscape has influenced society throughout human history. Before the columbian exchange, people had to rely on the resources from their own native countries. The land also shaped the way people think and assess climate change. Geographical bias is a common condition when it comes to understanding climate change. Studies have shown that the country of origin of a certain work or idea influences how the work is perceived. For example, products originating from prosperous and economically developed countries are considered more durable and trustworthy than products made in less developed countries. Also economically developed countries have higher quality education and are more aware of the significant impact of climate change. Geography influences ethics because populations practice certain religions and morals based on region. For example if one lives in Italy chances are they practice Catholicism, and if they live in Iran they practice Islam. These morals and religions impact people's relationships with the environment. According to Pew Research Center, of all religious groups, Evangelical Protestants were the least likely to believe that global warming is caused by human activity. Why are the most religious people less likely to care about climate? Sources “Research Guides: Human Geography: Cultural Geography.” Cultural Geography

Halloween (1987)
The Night HE Came Home!
On a cold Halloween night in 1963, six year old Michael Myers brutally murdered his 17-year-old sister, Judith. He was sentenced and locked away for 15 years. But on October 30, 1978, while being transferred for a court date, a 21-year-old Michael Myers steals a car and escapes Smith's Grove. He returns to his quiet hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois, where he looks for his next victims.
~Halloween (1987) facts ~
The famously freaky Michael Myers mask was a cheap, $1 mask of Captain Kirk from Star Trek -- stripped of its eyebrows and sideburns, and stretched out and painted white.
John Carpenter named the lead character Michael Myers after a British film promoter who helped him with his previous movie, Assault on Precinct 13.
Although all of the girls in the movie played teenagers, star Jamie Lee Curtis was the only the only actual teenager .
The original script was titled, "The Babysitter Murders "  but a lack of budget meant the story needed to take place on one night, Halloween, the scariest night of the year.
The movie was shot during the spring, the crew had a hard time finding pumpkins.
The fictional town of Haddonfield , Illinois, was based on  screenwriter Debra Hill's hometown of Haddonfield, New Jersey. The movie was actually shot in Southern California, which is why eagle-eyed viewers can spot the occasional palm tree in the background. Michael Myers's childhood home was an abandoned house in South Pasadena.
Jamie Lee Curtis is the daughter of Janet Leigh, who starred in Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller, Psycho. John Carpenter considered her being cast in Halloween as a tribute to Hitchcock.
To help Jamie Lee Curtis, John Carpenter developed a "fear meter" to gauge how scared she should act, because the film was shot out of sequence.
Because Halloween was shot in spring instead of fall, the crew painted paper leaves and scattered them around the set. And because the budget was tight, at the end of filming, the crew would collect the leaves to be reused in another scene.
Jamie Lee Curtis made $8,000 for her work  on the original Halloween, which was her first film.
Since there was no money for a costume department, all of the actors wore their own clothes. Jamie Lee Curtis bought Laurie Strode's wardrobe for less than $100 at JCPenney's.
After an early screening of the film, a critic complained it wasn't very scary. John Carpenter decided to compose an entire score in just three days  for the movie.
Originally, Nick Castle was just going to hang around the set during filming -- that was until  John Carpenter suggested be play Myers.
In Halloween, Sam Loomis is Michael Myers' psychiatrist played by Donald Pleasence. Sam Loomis is also the name of Psycho's Marion Crane's secret lover, in another homage to the Hitchcock film.
John Carpenter intentionally gave Michael Myers actor Nick Castle  minimal direction about how to play the killer. During the scene where Myers kills his victim by impaling him against a wall, he told Castle to tilt his head "like he's observing a corpse."
The character Laurie Strode was named after John Carpenter's first girlfriend, according to screenwriter Debra Hill.
The overall darkness of the film  wasn't intentional. The budget simply didn't allow for more lights to be purchased.
The killer is called "The Shape" in both the Halloween script and the movie credits. The name was borrowed from the Salem Witch Trial judges who referred to spirits who harm others "shapes."
Jamie Lee Curtis, whose career was launched by this iconic horror film, once admitted that she hates scary movies . "I loathe horror movies," the Hollywood actress  once confessed. "I don't like to be surprised."
The movie's stabbing sound effect was made with a knife being plunged into a watermelon.
