        oz, being oz, would naturally argue; he doesn’t need sleep, only idiots need sleep. he doesn’t want others to keep watch - having gotten so used to managing his own shit for so long - but would eventually start dozing off. albeit, this wouldn’t be out of a sense of trust; he’d only allow himself to nod off because, if someone else takes watch, then he’s not at fault for whatever goes wrong during the rest of the night.       of course, that’s only how he’d rationalize it.       it would be out of trust in actuality: he has a hard time not trusting the few other jedi he knows.

The surprise made Eron almost jump as he walked into the living room and for a moment he could only stand there, blinking with confetti stuck in his hair, trying to remember what the whole occasion was about. He shook himself off when it hit him, blue eyes finally catching sight of the item at the center of the coffee table. A soft chuckle left him. Maybe he should’ve expected this going in--- Mali was never the one to forget important dates. And it felt rather intimately special; private with only each other as company. “I’d say it’s the right amount.” His lips curled into an appreciative, joyful grin. “Thank you. You didn’t have to, y’know?”

The all too familiar frustrated huff coming from the refresher piqued Eron’s interest as he was making his way down the hall towards the cockpit. Light was spilling out into the metal space-- Mali left the door open, maybe on purpose to get his attention, or maybe he was simply too absorbed by the talk he was giving himself that he’d forgotten to close it. Either way, he was eager to investigate. He peeked his head into the refresher and instantly his eyes caught the man standing right in front of the mirror with such exasperation on his face; a full contrast to the grin he had. “Wow, you’ve been practicing how to give pep talks without me now?”
