ngl i was really debating on who to use this prompt for, but ultimately decided on wanderer, the murderous meow meow.

notes: the reader isn't the traveler, they have a vision, but I didn't specify details about the element/weapon so go crazy ig, i’m trying not to like, give wanderer a specific name bc he's got like 8 at least and then there’s the customizable names, the prompt is from the enemies to lovers midpoint list, so ofc, yall aren't gonna be besties (or possibly more) 100%, but it’s a start

When the Traveler asked for your help in occasionally joining them as they moved across Teyvat, you did not think that you would be actively fighting life-sized mushrooms on top of that.

The creatures, while cute from afar, were far more dangerous up close, especially for someone who either did not have a vision or did not have any sort of combat training. Although you can't help but almost feel bad as one of the many mushrooms you had fought squeaked in pain, coming into contact with your own attacks.

You feel a strong wind coming nearby and you scowl. Because not only do mushrooms move past you, you have to dig your feet into the ground, lest you be blown away by the wind's strength. Your surprised expression immediately morphs into a scowl, of course, of fucking course.

Laughter is heard before you see him, "Ah, hello to you too."

You're tempted at making an obscene gesture, but instead, smile tightly, because you know that he'll like the attention.

"Well, I'm glad that what you lack in height is made up for in your strength."

But your enjoyment the anger on his face is short lived. As you hear the angry squeaks coming from the fungi, you grab his sleeve, and with some force (maybe a little bit exaggerated, since he easily stumbles, although that could be since he was taken off guard).

Despite his protests, at least he thanks you.

The Traveler and Paimon watching this, look silently towards one another with a shared look that is of purely pained understanding, back to you both now sharing friendly banter, then turning back to share the same look again. The pair mutually agreed on one thing: you both were hopeless.

The afternoon continues as normal, or at least as normal as it can be whilst hunting mushrooms and other beasts that made Sumeru their abode. You were currently enjoying one of the pita sandwiches that the Traveler had brought along. Using the giant tree behind you as a way to shade yourself. The rustle of grass beside you has you peering from the wanderer at the corner of your eye. “I didn’t think you’d deign yourself to sitting among the rest of us,” You say thoughtfully after swallowing your food. (Seeing as how he would usually head off on his own, even with the breaks that everyone else took.)

He sniffs derisively, “Seeing you laze about reminded me that taking breaks is good too. Can’t have you working too hard.”

You make a face at his expression, far too pleased with himself for your liking.

“Oh why thank you, honorable wanderer. Are you sure it’s not because you missed my presence that much you wanted to sit next to me?”

He doesn’t answer, and for a moment you think you possibly could have gone too far, before you take a closer look at this wanderer.

Oh my... He was smiling! A part of yourself feels giddy yet proud at this new reaction. For the amount of time you had joined the traveler’s expeditions, this was the first time you saw anything close to a real smile. Most of the time you had shared disdain for one another.

Who asks the other on dates:  lbh with each other here, these are the kind of assholes that have an actual date night.  sometimes they even make it to it and do date things.  but also let's be honest with the fact they've been going on dates for years and were too dumb to realize it.  museums?  burgers and a movie?  you know they've done it, you know it was a date, and you know they had literally no idea.  because they're dumbasses. Who is more likely to cheat:  this really is a joke.  steve "my middle name is noble" rogers and tony "has been in love with steve rogers for years" stark.  like tony would never, ever, ever say it, but this is it.  i don't mean in some fatalistic way, and i mean he fully believes he has an expiration date so he wouldn't say anything anyway, but this is it.  steve's always been The One.  his Person.  never would happen, not in a million fucking years.  I think that since the beginning they were not meant to be a functional, healthy ship. And honestly? I don’t care that they are like that. Sue me. It’s good to have some dark tastes too when it comes to ships.

We learned yesterday that he actually just taught her how to shoot, probably LOL. And I understand Rio bc like I was talking about it with some friends here, the guy recognized parts of himself in Beth. They were so much alike. Rio knew Beth was a smart person, that she had it in her to be a king someday, and I believe that was why even with the “I’m giving u the keys to the king” thing he actually didn’t intend to give her shit.

 Not this kind of power or control. Rio knew Beth had the potential to become a boss bitch. He said it himself. He warned her that if she wanted to be the king she HAD to kill the king. And we saw a few times in season one, that she wanted to be. The show gave us all the hints: from how she organized that “book club” in her house, to how she lied to  Ruby and Annie when she said she went back to Canada and told that guy I forgot the name that Detroit was theirs, in episode 10, I think?

But Beth was still learning, still afraid of this dark side of hers, and fighting against it because she wanted to be a “good person”. But Rio showed her she was not 100% good. And so, I think Rio didn’t want to risk giving Beth any proper training at how to be a successful boss bitch bc one day she could bring him down.

She would be good competition if she embraced that dark side of hers. So he just kept playing the game, not letting her turn into a queen piece or a king, just being the pawn there.

And yeah, I do think, looking back at the season, that he used her to get rid of the FBI. Or at least use her in a way that would take the focus off him and on someone else while he tried to come up with something to be done with Turner and the FBI for good.

We all debated to the point of exhaustion about how Rio could have killed Boomer himself and his guys, right? And some of us believed he didn’t want to get his hands dirty and that the feds would quickly trace the murder back to him, and some said he needed to give Beth a lesson, bc of what he said to his son “clean up ur own mess”. I think both are true. He forced Beth to kill Boomer bc he didn’t want to get his hands dirty and avoid the FBI linking another murder to him and he also liked the idea of making her do it bc maybe in his fucked up head, shooting her hubby wasn’t payment enough for getting him in jail. 

back then I agreed that Beth had to take responsibility for Boomer’s mess and I still stand to it, since what she and the girls did only made it worse, but Rio and his guys knew who Boomer was. The idiot was getting paid to keep his mouth shut.

Another murder in Rio’s account wouldn’t have made his record worse. Also, he is doing this for quite some time now, Sure he didn’t have a way to make it look like it wasn’t him? But ok, maybe it was too risky with the heat he was feeling from the feds.

But here I wanna u to notice something: Rio started to push Beth harder here.

Following her around to the point it got creepy. And I’m guilty here bc Like many others I was all like “lol Rio is so fucked up. this guy is really into this weird game with her right?” but honestly, that was the first sign that Rio was not that stable.

Then, we had the Brio sex in the bathroom after she said she was out, and don’t tell me that for Rio was more bc I think for both it was like an itch they needed to scratch or the tension would be too much. But again, Rio forced his hand in his game when he came back again, this time at Boland Motors, to “propose” a partnership to her. Like she rly had any choice, right? RIO WAS THE ONE WHO CAME BACK. NOT BETH.

and she accepted. Then, came the “stay in ur little lane” comment and we were all like “wow, Rio. ok, we get it, maybe he is trying to protect her bc she can mess things up and they both will pay”.

yeah. This is right, but he was also protecting himself here, bc it was a huge investment he was making. Like Manny Montana said, at the end of the day, it’s all about Money. And she found out he did something behind her back even when he said they were partners and yeah his motives might be good for him but WHAT ABOUT HER? After all, he said they were partners and partners don’t hide things from each other. And like Beth said in the car with the girls, if something wrong happened, she was the one going to jail. HA. isn’t that what almost happened? Can you really say Beth was wrong here?

And Rio did nothing to help her with it. Which, ok, fair, she did it to him first. Like he threw at her face in a not very subtle way with his comment in the car back in episode 12.

But again, that was her checkmate to him when he took her out. So again, more proof of how these two are not that sane with this dangerous power play between them.

Next: the body parts he sent her. I agree with a comment Heather made on TT that this was the first sign that Brio would go downhill. Many of us didn’t even care that much and again, GUILTY UR HONOR. That was fucked up but EVERYONE EXCUSED A GUY SENDING A WOMAN BODY PARTS BC HEY, HE IS A CRIMINAL. But WHAT IS WRONG WITH US HERE, DRAGGING A WOMAN DOWN- NO MATTER IF SHE IS WHITE, LIKE HOLY SHIT THIS IS SOME FUCKED UP THING TO DO, SHUT UP- BECAUSE SHE WAS SALTY TO HIM AFTER GOING BACK AND SAYING THAT YEAH, SHE BLOCKED HIS NUMBER AND WANTED OUT? YEAH, IT WAS KILLING HER BUT HE DIDN’T EVEN GIVE HER A CHOICE AGAIN.

I think that if Rio waited just a bit more, she would go back by herself. She was dying to go back to the crime world. And she would eventually, but probably not with him as a boss, but Rio just liked to have her around so much…She entertained him.

But notice… AGAIN SHE DIDN’T LOOK FOR HIM. HE FORCED HER TO GO BACK USING SOMEONE ELSE’S BODY.

AND FINALLY:

Kidnapping her and trying again to force her to shoot Turner this time, bc yeah, I agree with Rio, I don’t believe Turner would leave Beth be, bc his reputation was ruined. He would lose the case he spent so many years, probably, working on.

now one question: He succeeded in kidnapping Turner and hurt him. Why did take him so long to do this?

Why didn’t he kill Turner sooner?

 Again, I think he was waiting for the best moment to do it. Maybe, just like he didn’t want to get his hands dirty with Boomer, he didn’t wanna the same with Turner. Good thing he had Beth there with him now, in the game.Right?

again, he was RIGHT. The man wouldn’t stop chasing her or him by default.

was this his “grand gesture”? in his fucked up mind I think it was. Manny himself said here that Rio is, and I quote: “ a dude that has a screw loose.”.

but I believe he was reaching his breaking point, acting on survival mode. He took his things out of the loft. He kidnapped Beth when I believe if he just called her, she would meet him there ( writers, EXPLAIN THIS!). 

but ok, it was done. But the way he kept pushing her, started to scream at her to just shoot Turner, calling her bitch, advancing on her? He lost it. And so did she. The pressure was building between them since episode 11, I think, and it finally exploded. 

She did what he wanted her to do in S1 but she wasn’t ready yet and I don’t think she was in 2x13. It was just a thing of the moment, not something she planned. She just acted on instinct, survival instinct, just like Rio did I believe, with his actions. U can see on his face he was surprised.

And then he laughed at Turner when he was laying on the floor, bleeding.

Rio set up the grand finale to his game with Turner, even getting that camera on his place to again mess with Beth and honestly, this was all fucked up since the beginning.

he always bet high on his moves in this thing with Beth. They both don’t know much about the other and people can surprise u in bad and good ways.

 I honestly don’t think Rio will be furious with her, not long.  The woman actually had the balls to shoot him, a crimelord, well know in Detroit streets, and she just got three bullets in his chest.

I think he can kind of respect that. But of course, it will be hell for Beth to pay, bc the king will get his crown back. 

Beth is not ready to rule yet anyway. I think we’ll see that in season 3 but one thing I liked that the show let us know: Beth embraced this other side of her bc yeah, she is gonna be a mom still but she will also try to run her own criminal enterprise. She finally believes she can do this. Rio was a daddy and he could right? And I believe she will start with something small, obviously.

However she will struggle, and I wonder if word won’t get out that a mom, a Stepford wife, shoot the great Rio and almost killed him.

I wonder what she is gonna do when she finds out Turner saved Rio’ life in a way, bc I believe he did call 911.

I don’t trust Turner or his apparent truce with Beth.

I do believe Season 3 has a lot of potential. And I can’t wait to see how Beth and Rio will fight over their territory and how these two alphas will find common ground again. I agree that in season 1 Beth was the one who went to Rio and asked to be part of this world he lives in. 

 And I’m not saying she didn’t like it bc she did. but I think season 2 was her really struggling with what she wanted and how she wanted, and Rio didn’t give her any space to breathe bc he kept pushing her to just decide and get done with it.

Manny said Rio liked the girls and especially Beth around and that they made things more interesting. I think he knows his character enjoyed this cat and mouse game he had going on, but even when Rio felt something for beth money, again, was at the forefront of his mind. And with what Manny said about Rio, trying to find a way to understand this man mind takes way more than we thought. Let’s see where we go down from here.

okay, let’s get started

this bookworm’s an english major with a minor in theatre

bc he's also a thespian!!

in high school, he was required to fulfill a performing arts credit to graduate and chose drama class

his teacher thought his acting, his body language, his tone of voice, and facial expressions were undeniably good for someone who never tried acting before

so he suggested that wonwoo try out for the school play

and so he did and he slowly developed a love for theatre

he enjoyed the complexity of becoming a completely different person, getting lost in the character he was playing, taking on their struggles and conveying their emotions and feelings, creating his own narrative

it was something that intrigued him and challenged him so he chose to join a theatre club in college

they usually put on small performances in their black box theatre or if they do large scale productions, it's something leading up the entire semester

when he's not acting or doing things with the theatre club, he's spending time on a mixtape with seungcheol, mingyu, and vernon 

or he's reading 

taking on different characters helps him write lyrics, giving him new perspectives on things

it's always one of those three things

this boy is hella busy but always finds time for himself

if the guys ask him out to hang out, they always know to wait after wonwoo's theatre practices

or they just linger by the building he's in and kidnap him afterwards for food and stuff

he always has a book or script in his bag

wonwoo is known as the smart and silent type, the guy who keeps his head down, but asks some questions here and there and gets an A on the exam

a pretty straightforward guy tbh

when you meet wonwoo, he's your TA for your theatre studies class

but the very first time you see him see him, he's on stage

for this theatre studies class as an extra credit assignment, you have to attend a showing of the theatre club’s newest production and write a short report on it

it's this story about this boy and this girl and how their lives interweave together

spoiler alert: the boy gets into a tragic accident and the girl turns out to be dying from a terminal illness!!

and so at the very end, the girl decides to sacrifice her heart for the boy to live on

and you're just a bawling mess in the middle row of the dark theatre

after the show ends, you take a couple minutes to wipe away your tears when going to the restroom, you accidentally run into a tall ass person

it's the male lead from the play!!

you're lowkey starstruck and nothing but incoherent words come out of your mouth, "you—good at a-acting" 

"uh, thank you" he nods and continues past you to the restroom

when he leaves, you realize how awkward that was and how much of a mess you must look with tear tracks on your face

tbh wonwoo didn't even notice how much of a mess you looked

he just vaguely remembers seeing you in the theatre class, that one cute person in the back who fell asleep during the video

later when you stroll into class and your professor asks who attended the play, you and couple others raise their hands

your professor calls on them and they just say the production was good, giving generic answers

when she calls on you, you praise the whole production, from the writing to the directing to the lighting to the actors

you could go on and on about the acting, especially the male lead's performance

and your professor is smirking to herself and raises an eyebrow at wonwoo

and wonwoo, who has a black hat over his head and a mask on (he's lowkey hungover bc the cast threw a small drinking party), immediately perks up at the abundance of praise coming at him

"thank you (y/n) for those kind words, and speaking of this play," she turns to her TA, "wonwoo! congratulations on opening night, for those who don't know—wonwoo is the male lead of the theatre club's production!"

you blush and immediately duck your head down and sink down in your seat, embarrassment flushing your cheeks

wow, your professor gotta expose you like this rippp

at the end of class, you bolt from your seat and leave the classroom asap

wonwoo's actually looking for you, but he can't seem to find you once class is over

the next class, you keep your head down and try to stay inconspicuous but when your professor takes attendance, wonwoo takes note of you raising your hand in the back

you bolt out of the class but wonwoo manages to catch you before you run away again

and when you're hiding in the student commons, guess who spots you in the corner of the room?

WONWOO!! 

he actually stops by your table and thanks you for complimenting on the theatre production

as he re-introduces himself, wonwoo asks if he could sit down with you for a bit before his theatre practice

he makes nice conversation as you take notes on a powerpoint for another class, letting you focus on writing every so often before starting a new conversation with you

but you can definitely tell he's really quiet, but when he talks, he's a really humble and kind guy

your stomach growls and so does his, so you two walk together to the food court, getting something to eat and talk over before you offer to walk him to practice

you end up lingering by practice and meeting some of the other people in the club like the tall and bubbly girl named sooyoung, the equally quiet kyungsoo, theatre club president yoona, and the mysteriously handsome junhui

you stay and watch their rehearsal, admiring everyone's skills and talents as they do warm up exercises and ad-libs games and such

you debate on when to leave the practice, but you end up staying the whole time

and wonwoo's kinda surprised you're still there at the end of the night, so he walks you home to your car and calls it a night, wishing you a safe drive

it’s a nice surprise that you stayed the whole practice, having knowing him for such a short time

when you have theatre class the next day, wonwoo waves at you and catches up next to you after class ends

you two end up getting food and going to the theatre practice together

this becomes your new routine, allowing you two to get closer and closer as the semester continues on;)

if someone needs to find wonwoo, they’ll usually find you with him in the library or in the student commons area

he barely texts you, but when he does he texts you paragraphs after paragraphs

they’re usually complaints of novels and essays he needs to write for his class

and then they usually end with ‘food?’ or ‘I’m outside your apartment’ and then wow there he is

wonwoo also asks you to run lines with him, bringing a smile to your face as you get to comment on his outrageous character or the way the storyline goes

you two even go to a cat cafe together!! 

you’ve never seen wonwoo so happy before;’)

mingyu meets you when he runs into you after another one of wonwoo's practices, immediately blurting out, "(y/n)? oh! you're the person wonwoo's been telling me about! you are pretty cute! wow!"

wonwoo's glaring at mingyu while his best friend has this wide innocent smile at you bc he's happy to finally meet you (and to scope out the person stealing away wonwoo everyday)

you all get food together after practice and mingyu purposely sits in the front with wonwoo

he’s just jealous and wonwoo-deprived

wonwoo enjoys spending time with you in the library most of all

when you're typing away on your laptop or writing out your homework, he peeks behind his book and tries to make you laugh out loud

from changing his expression behind his book, to miming out his lines to you with exaggerated mouthing and hand gestures, he always tries to get you to crack in the silent space

you always slap him on the arm once you two leave the library doors, a small fond smile on his face as he catches up to your retreating figure

wonwoo isn't the type to fall for someone so fast, but he definitely cannot deny that he feels an attraction towards you

the same goes for you too

and bc you and wonwoo are both not the type to confess your feelings so suddenly, you both hold it all in

for theatre, your final project is to act out a scene written by students from a screenwriting class your professor teaches 

your assigned scene is about an argument between two exes, where one person is trying to get the other person back, but they have moved on and don't want to rekindle the past

it's really intense and it sounds straight out of a drama

and of course with your luck, you're paired with this one guy who barely shows up to class

you set up practice sessions and your partner does show up, but he's not really putting in the effort to make these scene the best it could be

wonwoo offers to run the scene with you several times and he even gives you tips and pointers on projecting your voice, conveying emotions, and how to memorize what comes next

you practice way more with wonwoo than your actual partner at this point

when you visit the theatre club meetings, you definitely pay closer attention to everything junhui, kyungsoo, sooyoung, and yoona do, even asking them for tips 

but on the day of your scene, your partner is nowhere to be seen

you've been texting him every other minute since before class started to see if he actually shows up

your professor then suggests that you do the scene yourself, but with someone else as your partner

and oF COURSE, guess who she volunteers as your partner

you hand wonwoo the script and he reads over it

he's pretending that he hasn't already memorized it, bc let's be honest he totally has 

before you two start, wonwoo mutters in your ear that you can do it and you're gonna do positively amazing

you're too busy getting into character when you don't notice the way wonwoo squeezes your hand as a sign of affection

everyone else notices to it thooo;)

wonwoo starts the scene with you and you can't help it but feel completely at ease opposite him in this

the scene is flowing so well and everyone is in such awe of you two, your professor is avidly watching you in the front row of the room with popcorn in her hands

you're playing the ex whose moved on and wonwoo's the guy who wants you back

the scene is playing out almost exactly how you've practiced it with him

you sound v stubborn, unwilling to change your mind and wonwoo's trying so hard to get you to change your mind 

his voice softens when he gets closer to you, when he gently takes your hands in his

but you pull from his touch like it's an all-consuming fire, like it's going to burn you again

the body language between you two is electric, everyone can see you as a split couple with a messy ending

when your argument is getting to its peak and both of your voices are getting louder and it becomes a shouting match, and wonwoo leans in to kiss you, you slap wonwoo

the slap echos in the room and wonwoo's just as shocked as you are

bc the slap was something you suggested with your original partner but he didn't want to do it bc let's be honest, he didn't want to get slapped in the face

and when you told wonwoo about it during a practice session, he was like 'yeah do it' but everytime you were about to slap him you chickened out and never did it

so you agreed not to do it, even though it'd be great for the scene

but DAMN you really went for it rn!!

your eyes widen slightly with worry, but wonwoo continues on, gritting his teeth and touching his red cheek

you finish the scene with your final lines and walk away from him, letting the silence end the scene for you

one slow clap in the back of the room causes a whole wave of applause for you and wonwoo

but you immediately go back to wonwoo, who is still frozen in his spot

"wonwoo! I'm so sorry! I totally forgot and I just went for it, is your cheek okay? are you okay?" you check his face and there's a giant red handprint on his face

your professor lets you go to the health services wing to get some ice for his face (after giving y'all an A+ bc duh)

you apologize for slapping so hard and wonwoo waves it off, saying that it was perfect for the scene

he instead compliments you on your acting and how well you did

but you're still upset that you caught wonwoo off-guard and slapped him so hard

"hey, we just had our first fake fight and you got an A, now's not the time to be so upset"

you're still not budging, "but I am, I feel really bad"

without missing a beat, wonwoo says, "then take me out to dinner"

you just reply, "okay, okay fine" but you pause as you realize what you just agreed to, "wait—what?"

"you're paying" wonwoo smirks

when you make a face about paying, he just points at the red hand on his cheek

after wonwoo gets his ice, he feigns being dizzy from the slap (prompting you to almost slap him again) and he gets to lay down on a cot in the health services wing with you next to him

"you know pretending to be sick is an abuse of your talents"

tbh all you really need to know is that she is a truly awful human being and just a big ol snakey snake

she was born to emerson and amelia cavendish, though not part of the sacred 28, they were strong voldemort supporters and big believers in blood purity and all that jazz. her family is relatively well-off, emerson being high up in banking at gringotts and ever since they were born, her and her older sister were absolutely spoiled, nothing but the best

though it was power and not money that the cavendishs craved the most, wanting to climb up the social ladder, their family name held to as high regard as the averys or the lestranges

they installed the same ideals into their daughters, and saw them as tools to use to climb up the social ladder, the blonde haired, blue eyed girls batting their eyelashes to get their parents to mingle in with the best. 

the wizarding war gave them this opportunity too, adair’s father’s connections allowing him to support the death eater movement --- though never anything too publicly. they were notoriously careful in covering their tracks. there was little power one could have in prison.

for the cavendishs, it was family over everything

obviously adair and her family were less than pleased with the outcome of the war, though their hope in the dark lord and what he stood for would not be distinguished. fear could and would always control the masses

you two decide to stop by this ice cream place on the way home to celebrate 

and as you’re sitting across him and watching him eat his ice cream, you realise how much you like him, and also how clueless you are about whether he feels the same way

as a spur of the moment kind of thing suddenly you ask him whether he likes someone

he looks up at you kinda surprised

after several instances of you turning down daniel’s invitations to do something with him he kind of just gives up

you’re glad but deep down you also secretly have this thought of why can’t he try harder to get me to hang out with him

it’s hard to get over feelings but you’re trying

before you know it your life is almost back to how it was before he moved in beside you

and you’re starting to settle into a new rhythm

but little do you know that as you go to sleep every night increasingly content with the new lifestyle you’ve built, daniel is suffering on the other side of the wall

suddenly he has no one who is always up to do stuff with him

when he goes to watch a new romcom film with his friends he realises none of them joke about the plot with him the same way you would

no one to listen to his silly worries and his even sillier jokes

he thinks even his cats miss you

one day you’re in your room working on an assignment when you hear super loud knocking sounds coming from outside

you wait for it to go away but it doesn’t

in fact it only gets louder and after a few minutes there’s angry shouting accompanying it

so you open your door to peek out and see what the heck is going on when you see a clearly drunk daniel banging at his own door and shouting at jaehwan to open up 

you freeze for a second and consider just leaving him to it but ,,,, this is daniel and you know for a fact that jaehwan isn’t even home

it’s funny how life works - after all these months here you are out in the corridor trying to help daniel again

you approach him slowly and try to tell him that jaehwan isn’t in

and the hand that he was using to bang at the door drops limply to his side and he just stands there in front of his door looking down at the floor

“do you have your key?”

he just shakes his head slowly before looking up at you 

and you kinda panic for a moment bc of how long it’s been since you’ve last seen him 

and he looks kind of... sad

“then do you want to come in and wait in my flat?”

you hesitate for a second before adding “my sister isn’t home”

he just nods and follows you in

there’s nothing but awkward silence between you two as he sits there on the chair beside you and you’re contemplating just telling him to go to sleep or something when he mumbles something

“what was that?”

you just sit there not knowing what to say and he uses the silence to continue

he is just drunk and repeating the same things again and again and you have no idea what to do bc you’re starting to realise that maybe you never stopped liking him at all

and just like that you’re moving forward and kissing him

it takes him a moment but he kisses you back

from that day on you started going there almost every day

but then you think OH SCREW IT I’m going and I’m gonna have a good time

so you’re there and a few drinks have settled in already. you’re not drunk you’re just a bit tipsy and joyful

you finally see youngjae so you go there to say hi and you two start talking

then you notice that jaebum is coming your way and you can’t not roll your eyes

Part One: 

No Rob Benedict. Rich makes promises of him later.

ROB BENEDICT!!! He walked out with Briana and she claims she planned the whole thing.

Briana, Kim, and Gil didn’t have anyone lined up for questions. Briana threatened period talk. Gil blushed. 

Questions for Briana today instead of Kim. Briana does a little victory thing every time someone says, “My question is for Bri.” Kim mocks her from yesterday and says, “I’m gonna answer it anyway.”

Gil is third-wheelin’ it, hard. 

Gil addresses the whole thing that happened with the butt grabbing. He wanted to “nip it in the bud because it was weighing very heavily” on him. Apparently I missed that last night because I had no idea what he was even talking about when he said it. He’s a great guy. Try not to fault him for one little slip, yeah? He’s human. Cut the man some slack. 

Part Two: 

Rob scolds Rich for not telling us about the “I <3 KoC” shirts. Debates about whether it’s pronounced like Coke or like cock. “Wear that to Grandma’s house.” “One of those things will kill you!” 

Matt, Rob, and Rich bounce off of one another unbelievably well.

Questions about other projects and hobbies come up. Matt says he wants to get into racing again. Racing is in his future. Richard says he’s a lot like his father. His father was a lawyer. Rob used to have his own baseball league. With himself. He made up teams like “The Colors” and “Other Things.”

Rob and Rich are besties and it makes my life. 

The pilot for Skyward is streaming now on Amazon. Rich said there’s a part already sketched out for Rob if the show continues. It wasn’t his idea to include Rob, but he wanted to eventually anyway. 

Part Three:

Mark Sheppard is either consistently grouchy or was very tired/cranky today.

Almost all of his answers boiled down to one word, so that was the one word he used, and then moved on. He probably answered more questions on his own than Misha and Jake did combines just because of how fast he was moving. 

He said fuck Creation’s rules and walked around the crowd most of the time. Also joked about how when he was more powerful (and important), they never would’ve allowed that. (sad face on my part)

A fan asks how he feels about Fergus’s deal and how he lost his soul, what he sold it for. He doesn’t laugh. Just says, “If you want to ask about my penis, there are other ways to do it. I can’t relate to Fergus, if that’s what you’re asking.”

His favorite line is “Where’s your moose?” 

“You’re good, but I’m Crowley,” was improv. 

Talking about his wife and daughter made him light up like a Christmas tree. It was adorable. 

Everyone thinks he hates cats. He got very snarky about it. “Did I say I hate cats? No. I don’t hate anything. I hate Misha. Oops.”

He thinks Crowley came full circle. There wasn’t much else for him to do in the series, he thinks. 

He doesn’t understand the logic behind Rowena being Crowley’s mother.When Rowena dies at the hands of Lucifer (the first time), Mark said the line, “Always thought I’d be the one to do it,” felt very right in that moment.

Part Four: 

Jake Abel has the bubbliest butt in the entire cast. To quote myself from earlier today, “You could bounce a fuckin nickel off of that thing.”

He’s been creating plotlines and ways to bring Adam back. New plans are made every time he comes to a convention. Currently, we’re looking at an Adam spinoff in which he and his mother are resurrected (him from Hell, her from Heaven) and become hunters. They have “opposing forces!” as Jake said, and the story would follow the way they got the opposing forces to work together for the same common purpose.

This man is insane. 

He kept reminding us that he was in a weird mood because his flight didn’t get in until 4am.

Sleepy Jake is the cutest. 

Talk of Percy Jackson.

Part Five: 

MISHA. FREAKIN. COLLINS.

Guys. I’ve never been more amazed by one person’s smile and overall attitude. He’s so cheery and bright and uugghhh Misha.

He tells a story about his dad, and then says that he had to tell his children about his parents’ (brief, I think?) split, but he doesn’t want it to sound like that’s the only way marriages can end. The next day, his son went to school and told the teacher, “I want my parents to get a divorce.” I literally have no idea if this is true, but it’s what Misha told us.

Fake spoilers for Season 13, but he told us that he was filming it last night. Jared and Jensen still fuck with him to no end. 

“We were filming. Jared was on the bed, and we were doing something we don’t usually do on Supernatural.” *cue roars from the audience*

I think he tried to fight someone in the crowd. I have photos of his bulgy eyes and sassy jawline. Yeah, it’s a thing.

I was going to show him the photo of himself standing in front of the whiteboard with his drawing of Maison and the dandelion. Creation doesn’t allow phones in the photo op rooms so I had to put it in my pocket, which was fine.

I walked up and asked the woman if I could show him something. She said, “Sure, just make it quick!” Again, I get it. Not a problem. 

I’m standing there waiting with my arm pulled out of my sleeve to show him my tattoo. I walk up and I’m greeted with the most amazing smile and such a soft “hi.” 

I blurt out, “I NEED TO SHOW YOU SOMETHING!” *shoves my arm towards him* *silence from Misha as he stares*

His mouth kind of popped open when he realized what it was. His eyes are so freakin’ blue and I know because he looked me directly in them and told me, “That’s amazing.” 

My heart is racing, but I lean and and we hug and Chris snaps the photo. I step to walk away and Misha grabs my hands (!!!!!!!!!) I turn and look up at him (because damn he’s tall! He’s right, he’s just surrounded by giants.) and he squeezes my hands. “That’s amazing.” It’s so quiet and I blink for a second. “Thank you.” I get another tight hand squeeze and thank him before running into the hallway and crying. (*inhale* I’m okay, really.)

HUGE HUGE HUGE FUCKIN’ THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED MONEY TO GET ME THAT OP. I LOVE YOU ALL AND IF/WHEN I MEET YOU GUYS, HUGS ALL AROUND.

On to the auto. I showed him the tattoo again, quickly spat out, ”I know I showed it to you at the photo ops but...!”  and he drew a heart next to his name when he signed it. I got another “That’s amazing. Thank you so much.” and that friggin smile

I still don’t know if he knows the tattoo is his handwriting. I assume he could tell when he looked at it, especially for how long he looked at it. But *shrugs* maybe one day I’ll tell him.

While waiting for Misha’s op, I MET @HIGHONPASTRIES (whose tumblr is literally not working this weekend, just FYI)!!! There’s a selfie to prove it. Will be posted later.

For all the mods, but especially the Slytherins, how do you feel about the animosity towards Slytherins?And why was it there in the first place? What do you find to be the worst part of the Snake Hate?

Tori (Ravenclaw Mod): ooo nothing’s gonna get me heated more than this. I absolutely love JK and her writing style, but I think she let the HP series fall victim to the far-too easy trope of a completely black and white story in some aspects. In order to have a black/white story of good and bad, you have to have someone/something/a group to demonize. For HP, it was the Slytherins. Her interpretation, I’m guessing, is that ambition leads to corruption which leads to evilllll. While I don’t agree with this at all, I do think this is what she did for the Slytherin characters for the majority of the series. With nearly every character we saw their desire for power overcome their moral senses, which I don’t think is fair. I think Slytherins get an unfair reputation bc people like to paint them as the villains. I think the worst part is how LITERALLY EVERY BAD GUY gets sorted Slytherin. There are so many different motivators that cause someone to turn dark, not just power. Do better. (@ everyone who thinks If someone’s evil they gotta b a snake)

Jinxy (Hufflepuff Mod): (This is more of an analysis of the fandom’s role in the problem instead of the author’s role…I’m sorry if I hurt any feelings! That is not my intention.)

I hate the animosity towards Slytherins. It’s very unfair and very unjustified. A lot of people feel that there needs to be some sort of villain whenever they read a book/watch a tv show/watch a movie/e.t.c. so that they can have a place to vent their angers and frustrations. In the Harry Potter fandom, a lot of people have decided Slytherin house is that villain (despite the plethora of clear villains like Umbridge, Voldemort, or Rita Skeeter that they could go after instead.) Slytherin is treated poorly because people need a place to show their anger/annoyance/misgivings/whatever, and they think that Slytherin is the perfect place to do so (“Hey,” they think, “Someone else is being hateful to Slytherin. That means that I can too!”)

I think that this is ridiculous because, though a group of people can be villains, there is no reason for all of Slytherin to be treated as such. Yes, there were some villains in Slytherin. Yes, the main villain of the series was a Slytherin. But guess what? So was Peter Pettigrew, and without him, Harry’s parents never would have died. Peter was a villain, and he was a Gryffindor…but you never see Gryffindor getting the hate. Plenty of Slytherins were good guys, but they’re always overlooked. The worst part about this hate (besides everything that I’ve already mentioned) is the way that many people seem to think that Slytherin is dark, edgy, and nothing more. This alienates Slytherin from the other houses, who are often portrayed in nicer lights: as being calm, and warm, and flowery. I want Slytherins who dance in pretty flowy skirts, Slytherins who pick flowers, Slytherins who name their cats after food items. I want people to stop treating them like villains and instead write sweet aesthetic posts about how Slytherins smell like citrus and lilac, decorate skinned knees with too many bandaids, and like to read mystery novels late into the night.

Tory (Slytherin Mod): I think Jinxy and Tori have tackled the wrongness of Slytherin’s reputation pretty well, so I think I’m just going to put forward my own theory as to why it is there, at least partially.

Harry, our POV character, is a Gryffindor…and so is J.K. She’s said this on record. Therefore we have a Gryffindor writing mainly about Gryffindors – yes, J.K. created the whole universe and its rules and houses, but she will still clearly and perhaps involuntarily have the most favorable view of characters like her. When you have a writing perspective that’s this narrow, it is almost inevitable that things will be seen in a slanted, narrow way. It’s the same reason why it is often discouraged to write “self-insert” characters in fiction – because not only does it make it harder for you as an author to write this character as being in the wrong, but you are less likely to see opposing points of view with clarity and show good counterarguments, thus you will never be a truly omniscient narrator. This is not an inherently bad thing, but it can make for, in Tori’s words, a very black-and-white approach…which is tragic, because the books themselves embrace shades of gray with characters like Dumbledore, Sirius Black, and Remus Lupin!

So, honestly, it’s no surprise that J.K., in the beginning, showed little interest in exploring Slytherin characters (or Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw characters, tbh) – she was most attached to and interested in characters that were like her. As the book series went on, I would argue she suddenly realized how negatively the Slytherins had been depicted and tried to throw some bread crumbs our way (”See? Regulus found Voldemort’s Horcrux! And then died before we could actually meet him in canon…”, “See, Andromeda’s cool! Even though we barely see her…”, ”See, Snape was the bravest man Harry ever knew and named his son after him! Even though he was also a petty, immature bully who tormented Neville for years and loathed his one true love’s child because it resembled the other parent…”). But even in the case of “good Slytherins,” there can still be some shade thrown; Dumbledore comments that perhaps they Sorted Snape too early (because CLEARLY if he’s brave he can’t be in Slytherin, and if he’d be Sorted now he’d be in Gryffindor, the “RIGHT” house). Yes, this could hint to bias on Dumbledore’s part as he’s also a Gryffindor, but it’s not framed that way, as we never get a counterargument to the sentiment.

I don’t think anyone can deny J.K.’s disapproving attitude of Slytherin is all over the books and especially her Pottermore quiz (almost all the “negative” answers give you Slytherin points, for Christ sake) – and I wholeheartedly point to the fact that it can be very, very difficult to jump into another person’s shoes. J.K. is not a Slytherin, and as a Gryffindor (a house that can be known for solely looking inward for their code of honor and seeing things in a very black-and-white manner), it’s unsurprising that she might look at Slytherin‘s values – which in some ways are opposite to Gryffindor’s – and see them as at best  “not as important” and at worst somehow “incorrect.”

As much as we can debate Slytherin’s reputation in the books, though, I think the thing that irritates me the most is when HP fans insult and degrade RL Slytherins by comparing them to the Slytherins in the books. Guys: just because someone was sorted into Slytherin on Pottermore DOES NOT MAKE THEM RACISTS OR DEATH EATERS OR WHATEVER ELSE. Seriously. Even just being aligned with Slytherin does not mean that the person is aligning himself/herself with Death Eaters. If they’re wearing Dark Marks and crud, that’s one thing…but Slytherins =/= Death Eaters. There may be some overlap and correlation, but they are not and have never been synonyms.

Star (Hufflepuff Mod): Just gonna put it out there, Tory, one of the Slytherin mods, was my first (and one of my best) friends on tumblr. She defended me after I made a confession to a Disney blog saying I didn’t like the Lion King, and after loads of attacks from people, she told them all to shut up, and offered me her friendship. I took it, and we’ve been tight ever since. She has bought some merch from Disneyland on my behalf (and sent it to Australia!!) and I’ve bought her some Slytherin shoes! I have met and know some awful Slytherins (my cousins are mostly snakes and they’re awful people, though it’s not because they are from the snake house), but I’ve also met a couple rude and awful Hufflepuffs. Every house has its bad eggs, and JK definitely didn’t do Slytherin any favours by putting most of the bad people in it, but not every bad person is in Slytherin.

Abigail (Ravenclaw Mod): Since I sorta feel like my opinion has already been spoken by Tori, Jinxy and Tory, I just wanna say that any house can become evil, not just Slytherin. I’ve known Gryffindors that are absolutely terrible human beings, extremely mean Hufflepuffs, and Ravenclaws that I just do not enjoy the company of. I have also met Slytherins who have become my best friends and are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. So it can go all around, your house doesn’t mean you’re mean or evil: it’s the person.

okay as to my favourite book it’s pretty hard to pinpoint which one is my favourite because there’s different reasons why it could be my favourite.like, I love Sabriel by Garth Nix for being so interesting and having a plot that sticks in my mind and for being one of those books where if I reread it, I wouldn’t get bored.But then again, The Icemark Trilogy by Stuart Hill was a turning point for me in my childhood. It had everything, character development, a really really good plot, characters that made me laugh and actually cry. Characters that I also hated with every fibre of my being. It was an iconic book for me and definitely way up there.But then again those two books are more fantasy based, when I was younger I used to read Cat Royal because and it was a historical book and i still have the copies of all these books but it was so interesting. Learning about the social hierarchy and how it differs from society today but also how some things are completely the same.I’d also have to say harry potter but that wasn’t as much of a major book in my life, I still adored it so so much and it made me feel so much and made me realise a few things about myself but it wouldn’t have been my ultimate favourite book.I’m mad because there’s this book I have but i can’t remember the name bc i haven’t read it in years and it’s put in storage, but there’s this society that trains their students in honing their inner abilities and usually when you use these abilities they drain you out but for this one kid, he can take in other peoples strength and make himself stronger. (they cast him out though because he’s too powerful nd they’re scared)But one of the things that stuck with me for some reason even though it’s been nearly 10 years since i read it was a quote where 2 enemies were going to walk into a city and they were debating how they should go in. and they said “If you go through first it seems like i am taking you hostage. If I go through first it seems like i am leading you” rip im gonna try and find the name of that book. Other notes: for the discord chat (especially charlie bc ur ocs are Canon Now to me) and also myself because i have headcanons for Leigh; might rewrite the reveal-to-Shirley scene because she does seem wildly... not into it, idk

Two months have passed since they’d first slept together, two months since and she’s not seen blood. It might not mean anything, just stress over this semester’s workload, and cranky from skipping meals from time to time (not often! maybe she should snack more, at least, because she and Steve and Shirley have a little rota system of sorts so that could work out, right?), and... it doesn/t mean she’s pregnant, necessarily. They’d been careful -- birth control, protection, the works. Maybe it’s just her body being a little wonky even though she’s not underweight (not severely enough, or at all, not really), and she doesn’t feel stressed. Better than being at home. “Home”. An aunt and uncle and cousin do not make a home.

Leigh checks the test again. Checks the box to make sure she’s reading it correctly. Beside her, Steve looks them over as well, and her stomach clenches when he hisses through his teeth; she pulls her knees up to her chest when his brow wrinkles into a frown. A small noise (fear) climbs out of her mouth when Steve stays silent.

“I’m sorry.”

“Hey.” No judgement in his voice; an arm wraps around her shoulders, pressing them both together even tighter than thigh-to-thigh on the bathroom floor of their shared apartment. “It’s not your fault. It’s not...” She hears the smack of his lips as he struggles to find something comforting to say, something that sounds natural and not just scrambling to keep Leigh as calm as possible. It doesn’t seem possible right now, or even in the future; still too young for children, still too Markey for this new life, still too tied to Victor and lightning and ghosts for a real life. “We’re both in this, together, no matter what happens. If we keep it, or if we do something about it, or if... we give it up.” Pressing a kiss against her temple, stroking her hair, he says, “I don’t think I’d want to give it up if... if we don’t do something about it.”

It, it, it. So sure “it” is not a “them”. Funny how one’s genetics can mess with stuff like that. Twins, nature control, ghosts. She’s surprised there isn’t a spot of necromancy in there, either.

She has to squash it all down and pray her children (more than one, she can feel it like the night when Victor left, the traitorous shitstain) will not be infected.

Leigh doesn’t dare ask Steve. She knows what he’s told her.

It’s been a month since the test proved positive. They haven’t made any more to do something about it (them); they’ve talked about it (them), and safety nets.

“So.”

“... Yeah.”

“We’re keeping it?” He sounds excited about it. Barely, but the undercurrent is there in his voice, the shine in his eyes, the hopeful clasp of his hands around hers. The way his eyes keep flickering to her barely-there bump. He fucking should be, too -- she is.

“Yeah.” She laughs, exhaling long-held breath. “Yeah.”

Shirley is less than impressed when Leigh breaks the news over a later dinner. It starts off as a joke, “Oh I’m eating for two,” when Leigh really means three as she scarfs down a bigger helping of food. Shirley, looking between her now wide-eyed brother, looking as though he’d been caught out and wasn’t really trying to keep it a secret, and Leigh, looking like the cat with the canary and the cream.

“What the fuck?”

Leigh’s cheeky mood dips, sours. “Don’t be like that.”

“No, are you seriously--?”

Steve tries to placate his sister, reaching for her hand. “Shirl--”

“No!” Shirl whips away, hands to herself. It’s a miracle she doesn’t leave the table, calling them both careless idiots. “What’re you thinking? You can’t be having kids now!”

“Shirl.” He tries again, standing his ground; he knows where Shirl’s coming from, he does, because he’d react the same if she was in the same position. “Me and Leigh have talked about it, and we’ve decided to keep it.”

“Have you?” The question's a sharp wheeze. “Have you considered--”

“Yes, Shirl! We’ve talked about how we’re gonna be able to support our kid, with or without our family’s help.”

Leigh’s thankful there’s no mention of her own family, although she’s not sure if Shirl’s caught on yet. She hopes not.

“Oh Jesus, Stevie--” She's pressing the ball of her palms into her eyes, like the picture in front of her might change and this conversation will cease to be real, as though a the thing (the baby-to-be) in Leigh’s belly will simply disappear. “You’re actually serious about this?”

“Yes.” Joint answer. Shirley just shakes her head, but says no more about it.

When summer break rolls around, Leigh’s stomach is rounder (four months into it now) and she’s debating on whether to beg to go with Steve and Shirl (might as well meet her kids’ other aunts and uncle and great-aunt, right?), or whether to suffer under the eyes of her uncle and cousin and the fretting hands of her aunt. At least Cathleen means well. It’s not enough.

The night before leaving, before her ultimate decision, Victor slips into her dreams again. She’s tried so hard to keep him out while wishing he’d stayed and it’s only worked to make them both upset.

“This wouldn't have happened if you hadn’t killed yourself,” she says, more sulky than all the other times she’s told him this same thing. Her beloved brother, her idol, her hero, her sun-in-the-sky, her do-no-wrong posterboy, her motherfucking protector from all things wrong and evil in this world -- made her watch as he killed himself with that triangle of lightning.

Don’t look away, Leigh. Don’t look away. Don’t look away. Eyes on me. Eyes on me. Eyes on me, Leigh.

“I know,” he says, ever-regretful as all the times before. As much as she wants to hurt him (but God, no, not really, no no no), she knows how sorry he is, how much he regrets it. Steven, the oldest brother, the most responsible of the Crain siblings, returns home with Shirley and his pregnant girlfriend. Theo doesn’t shake her hand, instead going in for a hug (and if Theo were to be asked, and if she were to answer honestly, she’d confess that she felt that beat of preternatural in Leigh's blood), and Leigh is relieved that she’s got at least three out of six on her side. The twins hug her, too, before they pay attention to their own siblings. Janet is much the same. A home run; six outta six. Not bad, kiddo, not bad.

Later, during a quiet game after dinner, Leigh offers to clean up with Janet, insisting on it despite everyone saying she should rest. C’mon, she's only four months along, give over.

Collected into Janet’s arms, she weeps harder, howling into her shoulder, snot dribbling freely as she cries aloud how her father is dead and her mother let herself lose her mind because why stay sane for her only daughter and only surviving family? And it was all Victor’s fault that she was stuck with her stupid frail aunt and boar of an uncle and cunting bitch of a cousin and she hated them all and that's why she’s here instead because the babies would die and she would die and it’d be the end of her because all the love she’d had had been swept away when she was only eight years old.

Janet tells her she can stay. She’s home.

my old family friend, christopher, and i were vacationing with our families at lake arrowhead during winter break when i was like, eight i think. there’s this very quaint townsquare near the area we were staying at, and the two of us walked around the townsquare.

we really freaked our parents out though, because they thought that we were lost or kidnapped because we left without supervision or telling them where we were going, but i remember going to a candy store to get gummy bears in the freezing cold.
