What if Mumza claimed Tommy and then kept him in the same timeline? What if, when Dream tried to revive him, he just brought Tommy back from a three month training course in Deathspawn Powers and now there's a foul mouthed, sassy, 100% Done With This Nonsense, blonde, British version of Nico de Angelo running around the server? There's a superpowered Tommy Innit roaming the server, not giving a flying care, telling people straight *facts* and then dodging through shadows when they try to retaliate.

The thought is spinning the brain rot gears guys, help!

What was the inciting incident for their relationship as enemies? Who was the primary instigator, if there was one?

ough it’s a whole thing and i have to go way back into aeryn’s backstory for it unfortunately, because i’ve been re-hashing it a lot lately. making aeryn even more of a “gods specialest sacrificial lamb” protagonist than before.

basically. Aeryn’s great old one warlock patron is all-foreseeing. the warlock who bought and sold gortash from his parent to raphael? it’s servant. this one choice sets in motion events that, if not stopped, will result in the golden reign of gortash. the end of life as we know it. great old one can’t have that. the same warlock, Zhander, is ordered to take Bhaal’s newest little divine deathspawn in after he kills his foster family 10 years later, and basically just fuckin. throws him in a portal when he turns 18, that takes him to a specific pocket of the far realms where this godlike entity can commune with him without driving him mad. that’s Aeryn. and it’s when he first comes to learn about “The Iron Fist”, and that he, “The Mercy Dagger”, will become his kryptonite. in time. the weird part is that 4 years pass while Aeryn is in the far realms making his eldritch deal. to aeryn it just feels like a couple of hours. something something “incredibly powerful and incomprehensible entity dumbing itself down so you can understand it in an alternate dimension and it takes 4 years”

what does this have to do with anything? Aeryn is spat back out right in the spot of the portal 4 years ago. a house long abandoned by Zhander the warlock. now a shop, owned by none other than one of Gortash’s banite lackeys. who sees the whole thing. and snitches to his overlord. :3 technically another 3 years pass until they meet officially, but make no mistake, Gortash is spending that entire time Watching. they have a “chance” encounter at a party, gortash invites him over to make a deal, gortash insults him, aeryn storms out and ignores him for another 6 months. gortash obviously finds this completely unacceptable, and decides drastic action is required to get his attention. so he finds Zhander and gets his own little bit of revenge at the same time. he loves a bargain. kidnaps and breaks his brain completely. corners aeryn in an alley one night, dragging a drooling Zhander (the man who raised Aeryn) by a leash, and forces aeryn to watch as Zhander mindlessly licks the underside of his boot, and hands him the end of leash. do what you want with him. get your revenge. i will treat you so much better than he did. and this begins a series of events that can only end in murder suicide :3

How does their conflict shape who they are, as people?

in theory, it’s the classic ‘cold (gort) meets warm (aeryn) and they bleed into each other until they meet in the middle’ thing. in practice aeryn is like malleable clay in gortash’s unfeeling hands. the person aeryn would be without gortash’s influence, and without being raised by zhander specifically to be able to survive this ordeal, is. unthinkable. he is completely and utterly bent and remade. and gortash? just has some residue under his fingernails that won’t go away.

so yeah. aeryn very blatantly copies gortash as well. wether from his own free will, perhaps a morbid desire to understand him, or be able to able to move through the world as he does, or because gortash props himself up on aeryn pedestal and doesn’t let aeryn look away, is debatable. it’s kinda both at the same time. he learns to lie, to manipulate, to see the appeal of the Ultimate State. (brainwashing) he starts cutting his hair like gortash.

as for changes gortash forces upon aeryn. too many to count them all, but the main ones: memory loss, a concerning lack of fortitude that makes him ridiculously susceptible to mental/psionic torture, manipulation, and brainwashing. a sincere lack of trust in, and outright hatred for, his own brains faculties, trusting others over himself. severe migraines just from thinking too hard. all of this manifests in his intelligence stat going from like. 15 when they first meet, to 6 in the events of the game itself.

non intelligence related stuff: his hypersexuality and extreme masochism are gifts from gort. most of his more fucked up kinks. not from them having sex, just gortash torturing him and aeryn enjoying it way too much. it probably started as a defence mechanism.

now for gortash. like i said, he doesn’t change much at all. his cruelty becomes less about correcting mistakes (unfeeling) and more about sadism (passionate) yes he becomes a SMIDGE more emotional, but he never develops anything even close to empathy, love, humility, etc. it’s just a more passionate form of megalomania. so yeah. he gets Worse™️

okay so i’m gonna end up adding my poe pc to this blog because i’m predictable, but i’m going to hold off on fully adding him until i get to at least act iii or its latter half, maybe keep him as an on request muse for now.     anyway, here’s info on my beautiful baby boy  :

ferdinand blakesley, vaguely in his mid30s by the time poe1 starts.

was a fighter up until around the end of act i, after which he’s become a cipher.

death godlike, born in the aedyr empire, to human nobles, second eldest son in a family of five children.

the blakesley family is one of the oldest noble lines in the empire & has supported the monarchs since its rise, as well as the empire’s military.     they are thus highly respected & esteemed, & they used this massive clout to dissuade those that would insist they get rid of the deathspawn of a child that was ferdinand.

they’ve expended a not insignificant sum of their funds in keeping mouths quiet & swords in their sheaths, & they’re known for throwing lavish parties fairly frequently, thus they recently spent the last of their disposable funds, though obviously they cannot let the public know.

ferdinand left home when he noted the family’s funds decreasing without any returns, hoping to find a way to solve this issue before their wealth, or lack thereof, was discovered, whether that was to be through sought out favors with foreign nobles or work that would lead to treasure that could be used to repad the treasury.

in contrast to his horned, scaled, & smoking appearance, ferdinand’s a gentle touch, taking to heart his tutors’ lessons to be as model a nobleman as he could be while godlike, if perhaps softer & kinder than the true typical nobleman.     he’s more often than not soft-spoken or mostly silent, preferring to let others speak while he listens.

because scales cover his eyes, transparent only to himself, meaning no one can truly tell what he’s looking at, if anything, he tends to compensate for this by tilting his head as an attentive puppy might.     portion of his facial scaling & one of his horns fractured & broke apart at the end of the prologue, revealing his right eye, but he maintains the habit.

he’s optimistic at heart about the goodness of others & gives benefits of the doubt where many others would stab without question.     in an effort to not be a hypocrite, he tries to be as honest as he can, telling only white lies that wouldn’t harm anyone undeserving or omitting things he feels would offend the other while still telling as much of the truth as possible.

he is primarily a diplomat, preferring battles to be verbal or mental over physical altercations, but in battle he holds back nothing.

he forms attachments really quickly so, by the time the party arrived at caed nua, ferdinand already considered aloth & edér two of his closest friends.     because he’s known them the longest of his companions, & met them so early after losing his former travel party, he is highly protective of the pair & tends to prioritize them when making decisions.

Yeah, I found out about him right after I made that. XD

I probably should make a new version of that including him and his mother at some point (and try to organize things better so it’s not as messy). I just haven’t had that on my list of top priorities because I find both him and his mother to be kinda boring. But I guess they get some points in their favor because the writers actually bothered to give an explanation as to how and why his mother came into contact with Darkseid (unlike, say, Grayven).

Tweek - deathspawn demon/imp....Death by electric chair/executed around age 14-16 for murder of parents. Got to torture sinners.

Thomas - deathspawn demon/imp.....Death by suicide (shooting self) around age 16-17. Killed again during the bridge and Pocket's box, but reforms both times...Might have eventually ascended to angelic status?? Given the option to torture sinners, but declines.

Gregory - deathspawn demon/sinner (pride)....died on a field trip at age 11. Slipped on a banana peel, down the grand canyon (lmao)...Eventually ascends to angelic status.

Estella - deathspawn demon/sinner (wrath).....died around age 11. Poisoned by Steve (groomer/hired assassin).....Dies again during pocket's box, and revived by Rebecca as a (deathspawn) angel....but eventually dies again, turning back into a demon.

Pocket - deathspawn demon/sinner (greed)....died around age 10-12 of hepatitis B. Becomes a very dangerous force within Hell, and kills Satan. Damien locks him away within a cursed box.

Leslie - Hellspawn demon....most timelines have her posses a robo body (built by Estella and Terrance, on Earth A). Familial relationship to Damien.

Terrance - deathspawn demon/sinner (envy)....i wanna say he was crushed to death?? might also have some robo parts now who knows.

Jimmy - deathspawn demon/sinner (lust).....murdered by Pip, who was mind controlled by Estella. Develops glitch powers because of Leslie's influence.

Stan - deathspawn demon/sinner (sloth)....murdered either during or after pocket's box...theres also some memories of them being a puppyboy, but we think those are from Earth B.

Pete - deathspawn demon/imp....kidnapped and murdered around age 11-15, summoned back to Earth by Henri and Michael.

Firkle - Hellspawn demon....accidentally summoned to Earth along with Pete. Sorta adopted by the other goths.

Michael - Heavenspawn angel....high ranking, angel of fate and destiny. Henrietta's gaurdian angel.

Wendyl - Heavenspawn angel....high ranking, angel of justice and truth. Token's guardian angel.
