(Heartwarming) Films

 Dear Bi,

Films have this amazing power to make us feel connected to the characters they showcase, so much so, that we think of them as our surrogate kin we’ve known all our lives.

They have this innate ability to empathise with our ups and downs better than the people in our lives do.

They let us live our daydreams for those 2 hours we spend with them at the theaters.

Everyone’s better in films, moms, dads, brothers, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, arch nemeses, teachers, lawyers, doctors, good guys, bad guys, everyone’s just plain better.

They paint a picture of human perfection and imperfections. They make us want to become better people by following their footsteps or learning through their errors, even if the lesson’s forgotten the next minute.

Films are our truest friends. Because the world might let you down, but there’s little possibility that your best friend behind that screen will.

Amon’s kagune is weird...

How weird is it?

I still literally have no idea if Amon is actually using the original quinque Doujima, or he somehow has the ability to duplicate quinques with his kagune. 

He releases his kagune on his own in the fight against Seidou, and then Urie so yes he can use it. It's also stated his kagune formation is lesser than Seidou's.

It's also eluded to way early on in his brief fight against Ryo, those are definitely Ukaku bullets being shot. However, it's not entirely made clear if the Doujima quinque he attacks with is actually the original Doujima or a copy made by Amon.

Amon calls it Doujima, but the kagune almost looks to be coming from his upper shoulders and forming around the quinque, rather than the quinque activating on it’s own. Urie calls it a quinque at first, but then calls it an "excuse for a quinque" which could imply it's fake. The strange additional kagune wrapping around Doujima though could be the bin brother's kagune...

The upgraded form of Doujima 1/2 i a Koukaku/Bikaku hybrid that shows the Bin Brother's kagune wrapping around it the same way it wraps around Doujima when Amon activates it. Amon also had Doujima dearby him when he was captured. Final point Doujima's damage to Kaneki mirrors Rio

To add onto this with the tokyo ghoul trump symbolism, Amon is the only half ghoul that breaks the pattern in tokyo ghoul trump. He’s in the koukaku diamonds. 

Even Takizawa who is also somebody who becomes a half ghoul but is drawn as a human in his trump card, follows the pattern and is in the ukaku spades. However, there could be an exception if Amon is somehow a chimera of sorts. After all his finalized Doujima form quinque was a chimera. He also is shown wearing the arata armor in his card which is a koukaku type quinque. In his fight against Rio he’s shown wearing Arata like armor around his legs that is yet to be exaplained. 

Amon’s kagune is also very weird when reacting with other kagune sources. It’s possible that his own kagune devoured Ginkui while he was attacked by it in order to survive, Urie noticed something strange was happeninga nd then Amon who was said to have terrible RC cell production immediately went Kakuja afterwards. 

There’s also the explosions he caused when interacting with Takizawa’s kagune and the fact that Kaneki’s kagune wasn’t able to pierce through it at all. 

If his kagune interacts with other people’s kagune itself in a similiar manner to when we witnessed kagune devouring its hosts in Kanou’s lab that could be yet another weird thing about Amon’s kagune.

Anyway like I said there are about 1,000 questions about Amon’s kagune and they are all unexplained as of the moment, it’s hard to even infer the answers based on context clues. It’s probably on purpose though because Amon himself never tried to come to terms with or understand his own powers as a ghoul.

BUNK: BRIEF

so a lovely guy called Saf has asked me to create a poster for him to advertise some offers they are having at a edgy bar/ restaurant called Bunk in Nottingham. After speaking with him he wants an image of a cocktail, chicken wing and there neon flamingo that they would like to create into a little mascot. 

Background:  Bunk is a  restaurant and bar in Nottingham that’s been around for a few years and soon  to open a new restaurant in dearby. They specialise in cocktails and chicken  wings in an underground setting under the city. They have a theme of red neon  light and lots of plants with bear brick walls, a perfect edgy student vibe  and to capture some good instrgram pic.

Objectives: The purpose of this advertising  campaign is to promote that a new bunk restaurant will be opening soon. To engage  and get people talking about it and interested in what it is and when it will  arrive.

Target Audience:  The target  audience for this venue is 18 – 27 year olds, students at collage or  university that are near by that want a place to hang out,

Tone  of voice: The tone of vice for this design is fun young with  lots of textures and eye catching, bold, quirky colours and drawn styling

Approaches: The key  approaches I’m going to take with this design will be to have a bold clear logo  and trying to incorporate as many as the elements and features that the  client wants in the style they would like. As part of this I will keep the  client up to date a s much as possible to make sure they are happy with the  designs.

Media: one poster that will be printed and put up and displayed as well as  shown online

Deliverables: I need to consider sizes needed, quality of the  final image the deadline if one will be set and most importantly the audience.
