I want to make a list of all the ways Nandor was pathetic over Guillermo in this most recent episode, from memory and not in order:

telling Guillermo to run when it became clear the Baron wanted Guillermo dead.

following the Baron out of the room to beg for mercy for Guillermo in front of the entire roast. I cannot emphasize enough that he did this to save his familiar in front of a whole room of other vampires and Sean.

clutching Guillermo's sweater like a security blanket

cheerfully handing out glasses of blood and flat pepsi when everyone else in the room is aware that he has been metaphorically cuckolded by his familiar

cradling "Guillermo's" dead body and giving a whole speech about how much he meant to him. After refusing to let Guillermo touch him for four and a half seasons

remembering the exact words written in the card Guillermo gave him over thirteen years ago

On the night of Callum’s eighteenth birthday, the first one he's had with Rayla, she has some birthday kisses to make up for (sixty-six, to be exact).

Surprise! I didn't know this was gonna happen lol, it just did. Only a LITTLE bit late, like an hour past midnight, so... happy late birthday, Callum? It's fine, you get to make out with Rayla. Enjoy!

Rayla pressed her back against the door as she closed it, smiling at Callum now that they were finally alone. “Well. Happy eighteenth, Mister Mage. All grown up.”

“Yeah, now us being together isn't considered pedophilia,” Callum laughed, pulling her into him by the waist and kissing her sound. He was only partly joking about that; other human nobles still biased against Xadia raised a fuss about anything they could, and the fact that Rayla was eighteen and Callum only seventeen had been a prime weapon, going so far as to claim she was preying on him. (And if their pillows were always warm and socks always soggy, then, well, Callum and his Aunt Janai knew absolutely nothing about that)

Rayla gladly reciprocated, holding his upper arms as she melted into him. A beat later, just as Callum was about to dare to slip his tongue into her mouth, she whispered, “Hold on. Go to the bed.”

Flushing bright red at the words, at what was left unsaid, Callum brought a giggling Rayla with him by both her hips and lips, stumbling over his own feet in his excitement to plop them down on the bed.

Rayla grinned, gripping his forearm and leaning in close. “Calm down! I haven't even told you what your present is.”

She'd been elusive about it all night, tossing him overexaggerated winks, blowing kisses he always caught and returned, dipping her gaze into a wine glass as she smirked. “Tell me?” he whined.

Rayla settled herself between his legs, pushing his hair back as he looked down at her adoringly. She was his whole world, and now that she was sure of it, she could use it to get anything she wanted out of him.

She was merciful now, though, granting him a press of her lips to his forehead even as her eyes went half-lidded and sparkly. “Well, I have birthday kisses to make up for…”

Rayla ghosted her lips over his cheek, marking a trail from just below his ear to his jaw, nose tracing his jawline as Callum gasped and clutched at her waist. It wasn't like this was new; they'd had sex before, after all, but every moment with Rayla, intimate or not, sent him spiraling back to a fumbly fourteen-year-old, awestruck and enamored and caught up in wanting to do everything right by her because she was everything.

So of course Callum gulped even as the prospect admittedly thrilled him. Kisses were kisses, and kisses reigned supreme. Especially Rayla kisses.

He knew, of course, that she was teasing him about the “making up for” bit, but the way she said it wasn't exactly spectacular.

So Callum gripped her wrist as it drifted to cup his face, making eye contact with her startled, hazy ones. “Rayla, you don't owe me anything. Especially- especially not kisses, or anything like that. I- I just really love you, and you don't have to kiss me for me to know, and-”

Rayla sighed, pulling closer to his lap. Her eyes dropped to his lips, likely thinking of shutting him up that way, but restrained herself to tell him, “Callum, I love you, too. And I want to kiss you. Really bad. Okay? I wouldn't do something like that just because I thought I owed you.”

Callum let himself nod, knowing there were boundaries Rayla had set for herself that she'd never cross, no matter how frustrated with herself or how self-destructive she was. “Okay.”

“Do you believe me?” Rayla asked gently, cupping his face in her palm this time and finally, finally shifting onto his lap.

Despite the fog quickly swarming his consciousness, rational thought, Callum smiled through it and squeezed her thighs. “I believe you. And love you and trust you.”

Rayla's fingers splayed across his face, his ears between her index and middle finger, pushing him back against the headboard. “Good. Now, let’s see… Fifteen plus sixteen plus seventeen plus eighteen… What's that? Like, seventy?”

Callum ran the numbers through his head even as his mouth got dry. “Sixty-six.”

Sixty-six Rayla kisses. By the gods, he was going to explode.

It’s What’s Inside is a solid 4.5/5 for me because I actually didn’t play Cookie Run during it and I took out a piece of paper to write notes. - .5 for being mean to Brooke.

mean girls 2024 is not bad like they make some questionable choices but I don't hate (all of) the reimagined songs and they chose to have fun with it which absolutely helps with the musical aspect of it

it also feels like the movie momentarily becomes a renee rapp fancam generator whenever she sings which is hilarious this is also how I feel about Aaron Taylor Johnson strutting around in Bullet Train

My professor took off a point from one of my scripts because I labelled a character as Nonbinary, and he claims I should've left the gender description blank because "it's not necessary for this character", as if "nonbinary" is a placeholder for "I don't care what gender" I am actually going to tear him to shreds

This may be a comic fan red flag to some but I have to say I genuinely do love Chuck Dixon's Ollie. Like yeah whenever I start thinking about it too hard I get pissed off about it and the way it goes against previous characterizations and important character beats presented in the same book etc etc but like by god is it funny. Like I'm sorry Ollie diehards I love him too but him calling Connor a bastard is probably a top 10 moment for me personally. I really do love it sm. Absolutely amazing, no notes, hypocrisy at its finest. V much like gee I wonder Ollie. Who's fault could that possibly be.

Vance could say his throat is sore because he’s sick and Robin is like “yeah maybe because you and Bruce were shoving your tongues down each other’s throats” and Vance actually gives him the DEADLIEST glare before Robin is like “whaaaat who said that?”

Robin and Finney could be hanging out and Robin’s cat will jump up on Finney’s lap and Finney will be like “Aw look :)” but Robin is like “I wish I was my cat right now 😞” and Finney just looks at Robin with a raised eyebrow and Robin is like “I mean woah what who said that”

That moment when you realize you've adopted a new son

In the days and weeks following an incident in which a group of celestials put a stop to a catastrophic ritual that could have threatened the Prime Material, Xanthanel was tasked with figuring out the details of what had occurred there. They had been slowly and gently interrogating Zerrias, one of the only survivors of the incident, a tiefling boy who they had rescued the day of after mistaking his aura for that of a true celestial. His family had played key roles in the ritual, before they were slain by Xanthanel themself. The act of performing the rituals themselves traumatized Zerrias, who eventually refused to participate in them. Feeling guilt for being the one who separated Zerrias from his family, Xan took it upon themself to work with the kid to not only pull what information they needed, but make sure he was settled in a safe space before he'd depart permanently.

Xan learned that Zerrias was a bright kid, liked to read, and had a good sense for right and wrong, but was shy and didn't talk much. Pulling information out of him without upsetting him took patience and care, but Xan had the time. He was guarded, and slow to trust, but once Xan proved that they were not a danger the kid was more willing to give up pieces of information in and amongst other conversation and activities. Over a period of time, Zerrias' personality began to shine through, and Xan found himself more and more invested with each trip they made.

Needless to say, there was no permanent departure.

I find it very funny how much charm stranger things loses for me when the kids stop being kids. like s1 and s2 are so good to me bc the kids are all still babies. s3 is still pretty charming in that regard bc they all look 16 at most, so they’re still very steeped in baby. s4, while good, just so does not feel the same because they’ve all grown out of their baby faces :( why couldn’t they be baby forever :(
