A Town Called Christmas Day 9
Pairing: Dean x Donna, Sam, Jody, Alex, Claire
Summary: The Winchesters get stuck in a small town after a snow storm passes through. Sam thinks it’s the perfect time for them to take a break. How will they cope with a small town Christmas?
Word Count: 2352
Warnings: some angst and then lots of fluff, a little bit of language, family dinner, excitement, talk of hurt, talk of lost character
A/N: This is a series written for Kari and Ida’s 12 Days of Christmas challenge. Thank you @like-a-bag-of-potatoes and @thing-you-do-with-that-thing for hosting this amazing challenge. I fell in love with writing this. I hope everyone enjoys! Time to decorate! I am way behind. I hope to get the rest of these posted soon.
A Town Called Christmas Masterlist
“We do, I’ve been thinking about that. I wanted to apologize.”
“Sam, just stop. I only have one question.”
Roni reached into her back pocket and pulled out the papers. Unfolding them, she laid them out.
“Is that really you and Dean?”
Sam just stared at her. He couldn’t look at the pictures but he knew exactly what she was talking about.
“Yes and no.”
“What?” Roni moved away from him. “It can’t be both. Either that’s you or not, Sam. Just be honest with me.”
“It’s complicated.”
“Don’t give me that line.” She threw back at him. “That’s just shit and you know it.”
“No. It really is complicated. It’s something I really don’t want to drag you into. That’s why I left you alone.”
“You’re scared of me judging you? Or just scared of being close to someone.” Roni shook her head. “Maybe I’m the one that should be scared. I have no idea who you are or what you’re capable of.”
“Roni, it’s not like that. Dean and I are… we’re…” Sam started but Roni cut him off.
“Psychopaths. I should turn you in. It says you’re dead, Sam. How can you explain that away?”
“That’s not us. It was a horrible situation and that was years ago.” Sam couldn’t give her all the details. He didn’t want her to know about that world.
“Wow. Sure. You need to leave town before I call the cops. Don’t ever come back.” By now Roni was yelling and had drawn a little attention to them.
Dean walked up at that point. “Hey, woah, what happened here?”
Dean tried to stop her from leaving but she jerked away from his reach. “Don’t touch me.”
She glared at the group of hunters. “Leave, Sam.”
They all watched her walk away. That was when Donna spotted the pictures on the table. “Oh, no.”
Dean looked to where Donna’s attention had gone and groaned in frustration. “What did you tell her?”
Sam wiped at his face with his hands before finally answering. “Nothing. I told her it was complicated and that I couldn’t tell her the whole story. She got pissed. Called me a psychopath then stormed off when I told her that it wasn’t us.”
“I’m so sorry sweetie.” Donna came up to Sam and patted his shoulder.
“This means we need to leave. Tonight.” Dean groaned as Sam stood, understanding the urgency.
“Maybe I can talk to her?” Donna interjected.
“Don’t worry about it.” Sam told her.
“We’ll just head out and surprise Jody and the girls early.” Dean suggested
“Okay. If that’s what we need to do.” Donna agreed.
They quickly left the arena and made their way back to the hotel. Donna started grabbing things out of the shower, leaving the boys alone for a moment.
“You okay?”
Sam nodded at Dean’s question. “Just fine. This is why I distanced myself.”
Dean watched Sam walk to his room and knew his brother was hurt. They all packed quickly and loaded into the Impala. Sam let Donna take the seat next to Dean and offered to drive her truck but she refused him. So instead he climbed in the back and they were on their way. He barely spoke as they drove all night to Jody’s place.
They pulled into the driveway around six am. Donna knew that Jody would be wide awake by now but quietly knocked on the door just in case. Just a few moments later the door came swinging open and an excited Jody came through the door!
“You’re here!” Jody pulled Donna into a tight hug as Sam and Dean chuckled. Each Winchester received a hug as well before Jody brought them through the house and into the kitchen.
“Did you drive all night?”
“Dean sure did. We decided to surprise you guys.” Donna smiled at Jody while she got a cup of coffee ready.”
“Well, I’m happy about the surprise. I just don’t have anything ready just yet for you three to get some rest.” Jody frowned as she thought about where she could out them.
“That’s fine Jodes,” Donna reassured her. “We’ll be just fine. I’ll probably just nap on the couch.”
“I’ll just curl up with her.” Dean winked at Donna.
“Wait a damn minute. Are you two… Are you together?” Jody stared at the two.
Donna nodded vigorously before she claimed Dean’s lips. A squeal left Jody’s lips and she ran around the kitchen island to squeeze Donna.
“You have to tell me everything!” Jody pulled Donna from the room but before she could fully leave she turned back. She left Donna standing in the doorway and walked over to Dean.
“I love you boys like you were my own but she is one of my best friends. We’re a family here but if you hurt her, I swear to God, Dean, I will hunt you down.”
Dean gulped as he took in the look on her face. Jody could be pretty vicious when need be.
“Jodes, come on. No need for that.” Donna was shaking her head and trying to hold back a laugh.
“Just a fare warning.” Dean nodded at her statement and watched as she went to join Donna in the living room.
“You should have seen the look on your face.” Sam busted out laughing.
“She’s scary.” Dean stared after them, wondering what Donna would tell Jody.
“Dish. Tell me everything.” The two women had taken seats on the couch and were facing each other.
“Well, I went to Christmas like I do every year. I was hoping I would be able to make the parade. Then out of nowhere, I see Dean and Sam. They’re just sitting there with some girl. I couldn’t believe it was them. Then Dean asked me to play along with something. He had told this young girl who was interested that he was engaged.”
“Engaged? What were those idiots doing?” Jody scoffed.
“They got snowed in. Sam had fallen for this girl and her sister was the one coming after Dean.”
“Okay, continue.”
“Okay, so he told the girl his fiance’s name was Donna and he told the girl about me.”
“But why you. No offense sweetie but why didn’t he make someone up?”
Donna giggled. “Dean is not that imaginative Jody.”
“True. True. Okay, so you’re fake engaged?” Jody looked down at Donna’s hand. She spotted the ring and looked back up at Donna, mouth agape. “Wait, not fake engaged. Are you guys engaged?”
She said that last part a little too loudly and Dean poked his head in. “Technically I did ask but it was just for show.”
“You bought an actual ring?” Jody looked at Dean dumbfounded.
“And he got down on one knee.” Sam added in as he came around the corner.
“What?” Jody was utterly confused now.
“So it’s somewhat legit.” Sam smiled at the other man with a cocky grin.
“Shut up, Bitch.”
“You shut up, Jerk.”
Donna finished telling Jody about the town and what had happened between her and Dean. She decided to leave out the ordeal with Roni. Sam was listening and knew she did it for him.
“So you’re here now. Perfect. Well you three can help me decorate since the girls refuse to put any effort into Christmas.”
“I would love to help and so would those two.” Donna pointed to the two grumpy Winchesters that had taken over Jody’s other couch.
“Yeah, would love to.” Dean shot back sarcastically.
“Dean Winchester.” Donna glared at him.
Sam couldn't hold back the chuckle that bubbled out of him. Dean glared at his brother before standing and walking towards the front door.
“Where am I getting this crap from?”
Jody walked over to him and just smiled. “You’re getting this “crap” from the attic.”
Dean nodded and turned to the stairs. “Don’t wake the girls, they’re crabby as it is. And take your brother.”
“You heard her. Get off your ass.” Dean shot at Sam before trudging up the stairs.
As the guys worked on bringing down all the decorations, Jody and Donna prepared more coffee and a hearty breakfast. They made bacon, eggs, and a giant stack of pancakes. The smell of bacon wafting through the house woke the girls and pulled the guys back down the stairs.
“Dean! Sam!” Jody and Donna heard Claire’s squeal from in the kitchen and knew they would have a horde attacking the kitchen soon.
Not even a minute later Claire lead the group into the small kitchen. “Donna!”
The owner of the name was immediately hugged and squished between Alex and Claire. The two immediately started asking about why they were there and a recap of what Donna had told Jody was shared as everyone dug into their breakfast.
After cleaning up the dishes Jody headed into the living room and started sorting through the boxes. Claire and Alex were doting over Donna and her ring. Sam and Dean stood to the side and watched as all of the women interacted. Everyone looked to the door when the bell rang. Jody popped up from her place on the floor and checked the peephole.
The door swung open and revealed a young woman standing there with a small box. She smiled and asked brightly. “Hi, you Jody?”
“Yes?” Jody was obviously suspicious.
“I have a package here for you. Just need you to sign right here.” It took Jody a moment before she realized what it was.
“Oh, of course. Thank you!” she signed her name quickly and took the box. She stared at the thing in her hands while walking back into the room.
“Jody, you okay?” Alex asked, worry clear in her voice.
Jody finally looked up at that and smiled. “I’m fine. I just forgot I had ordered this.”
She turned to look at the Winchesters. “I’m glad you two are here to see this.”
She set the box on the table and carefully opened it. Inside was something small, covered in bubble wrap. Unwrapping it, the thing plopped onto her open palm and she smiled proudly.
“It’s perfect.”
It was an ornament. Simple, plain, something you would see on any tree until you looked closer. The specially made ornament was a small, carved piece of log. It looked like it was cut from a medium width tree limb. The bark still decorated the sides and the texture of the wood was smooth.
Donna leaned closer to get a look at the inscription and a huge grin spread over her lips. “It is perfect.”
Jody stood back up from the table where she opened the box. She turned and found two sets of curious eyes watching her as she held out the ornament for them to see.
“Bobby once told me that. He told me that you were his boys no matter what anyone else said.” she then turned to look at Claire and Alex. “I feel the same way about these girls.”
Both the Winchesters looked closer at the ornament and found the inscription carved into it. “Family don't end in blood”
Dean nodded once and then gave Jody a big hug. Sam smiled broadly knowing that Bobby would always leave his mark on their makeshift family.
“Alright, enough chick flick moments. Time to get this tree decorated.”
Everyone in the house spent the next couple of hours putting up the tree and adding decorations all over the house that they had made a home. It took some time but soon the living room was bathed in the glow of the twinkle lights on the tree. Donna made some hot chocolate and had passed mugs around for everyone.
“Thank you everyone for helping out. It looks wonderful in here.”
They spent the afternoon watching old timey claymation Christmas movies. Sam, Dean, and Donna all dozed off at one point, getting well needed rest. Just before dinner Jody woke the sleeping guests and coaxed them into the kitchen.
“We don't have much just yet but we wanted to share a Christmas meal with you three.”
Alex and Claire stood next to the table with arms outstretched, showing off all the food on the table.
“You three did not have to do this!” Donna exclaimed as she looked over the table.
“We wanted to.” piped up Alex.
Everyone took their seats and began passing food around and filling their plates. Small chatter drifted across the table and soon laughter followed. Jody’s heart warmed as she watched her new found family enjoying this special time together.
“Sam, I have the blow up mattress down here and Donna and Dean, the guest room is made up.”
“Perfect. Thank you so much, Jody.” Donna kissed her cheek as she headed up the stairs followed by Dean.
Sam stood there for a moment before turning to Jody. “Need help finishing up?”
He had nodded at a few dishes left in the kitchen. “No, Sam, I got it. You go rest.”
“You sure? ‘Cause I really don't feel like resting right now.”
“Well, okay then. Follow me.”
The two worked in unison. Washing dishes and cleaning off the countertops. Jody turned to watch Sam. “What happened Sam?”
He just gave her a quizzical look.
“With the girl from the town? Donna made it sound like you were really happy.”
“It wasn’t going to work out. It was good while it lasted but she doesn't know the life,” he sighed. “She found the Leviathan Sam and Dean. Asked me how I could do that.”
“Oh, stupid girl. How could she think that?”
“She has no idea, Jody. She has the right to make whatever decision she wants.”
“I'm so sorry.”
“Don't be. Everything is just fine.”
“It's not but it will be.” Jody encouraged. “Go get some rest, Sam. I'll see you in the morning.”
She gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek before heading up the stairs to put herself to bed. Sam lowered himself to the mattress and settled in for the night. He kept telling himself as he drifted, “things are going to be just fine”.

Chasing Summer ch. 3: Homecoming
Story Summary: Fresh out of finals, Sam's frat brother drags you and Sam to a spring break party. When your best friend falls for an indie singer, you convince him and Gadreel to drop everything and chase after her. Whilst on this impromptu conquest, you run into an array of hardly believable obstacles. Your attention is split between your silent pining for Sam and helping Gadreel cross off his bucket list. Even if chasing after his dream girl is counterproductive for your goals, you'll choose the right time to confess to Sam. Probably.
Chapter Summary: After convincing Sam to actually go on this road trip, you, Gadreel, and Sam visit your hometown in hopes of using Dean's Impala for said trip.
Pairing: Samxreader, Gadreelxreader, DeanxDonna, RufusxBobby
Rating: Mature
Warnings: language, awkward boners, kissing
Word count: 2200+
Theme song: Toto - Africa
A/N: I love road trips fam, the planning phase is half the fun :D
Sam stares between you and Gadreel, his mouth hanging open and a scowl on his face.
“Are you out of your mind?” he growls. You stifle your laughter, holding your hands up to him. He clenches his jaw as Gadreel offers him a suitcase, slowly shaking his head. “You didn't. You're joking – because you have terrible humor – and you didn't unenroll me from my classes.” When you stay silent, Sam groans, sinking down on his bed and flopping back. “I think I hate you.”
“You love me,” you say, sinking down next to him and patting his thigh. “But apparently not as much as you love Jess, so we're going after her.”
“Hate. You.”
“Brother,” Gad begins, plopping down and pulling Sam up. He wraps an arm around Sam's shoulders, gesturing to you. “She's not trying to hurt you with this. Give it a chance.”
“You're supposed to be my voice of reason,” Sam growls at his frat brother, crossing his arms over.
“I'm Jiminy cricket, and I know this'll be good for you.” Gadreel smirks, standing to his feet and resting his hands on his hips. “There's a festival, Stardance, just six hours away. She has to be there,” he says. "I spent five minutes googling it, you owe me."
Sam gulps down, turning to you with pleading eyes. Sighing, you nod your head.
“You do owe him, Sammy.”
He chews his lip, sighing and throwing his hands up. “Where do we start?”
“The Impala,” you say. Sam's eyes go wide, his head shaking frantically.
“You're even crazier than I thought if you think Dean is gonna give us BABY,” he growls, dropping his head with a huff. “This is already a disaster.”
“Oh please, he'll definitely give it to us.”
–
You grin as you hop off of the bus, rushing toward Rufus with your arms outstretched. He chuckles as you pull him into a bone-crushing hug, pecking you on the head.
“Thought you'd never come home,” he chuckles, rolling his eyes as Bobby 'awws' behind you both. “Come hug your daughter, asshole.”
“After you move your grumpy ass out of the way,” Bobby grumbles, swigging his beer and sucking his teeth.
“Why the hell haven't I divorced you yet?” Rufus grumbles as he pushes past Bobby.
“Oh shut the hell up you love me,” he yells back at him before turning to you. “Good to see you, princess,” he grunts, pulling you into a hug and nuzzling against you. You giggle, sighing and squeezing him tight.
“We're just blowing through town, gonna go bug Dean.”
“You leavin' right now? Your daddy just figured out that damn grill.”
“Your papa was no help!” Rufus yells from inside, making Bobby huff. Bobby opens his mouth to talk, pausing when he sees Gadreel and Sam approaching.
“Little Sammy, ok, and who's that one?” he grunts, pointing his beer at Gadreel.
“Little Sammy's frat brother,” Gadreel chuckles. Sam frowns, throwing his hands up.
“I haven't been 'little' Sammy since my junior year of highschool – if we're gonna see Dean we gotta hurry.”
“Uh-uh. What's frat brothers name?” Bobby grumbles, disregarding Sam's words.
“Dad,” you groan, rolling your eyes. Chuckling, Gadreel offers his hand to Bobby.
“Gadreel Novak, nice to meet you sir.”
“Sir? Are you tryna date my girl?”
“No, I was being polite,” he says, a small smile on his face. Bobby gives him a skeptical look, slowly swigging from his beer. “So you and – Rufus, was it? – how long have you been together?”
“Too long, met in college,” he grumbles, reaching and ruffling your hair. “We adopted this little thing after graduation and we were stuck together for eighteen more years.”
“How...romantic,” Gadreel says, glancing at you with a smirk. You smirk back, turning your eyes to the ground. You say goodbye, heading down the street toward Dean's house.
“I still can't believe he kept the house,” Sam huffs as he walks up to the bright blue house. You smile, nodding to a tire swing.
“Remember jumping off of that?”
“And breaking my arm? Yeah,” he says, smiling contently and shaking his head. “Why are all of our memories together so fucked up?”
“Because.” You hover your hand over the door, smirking at him over your shoulder. “We're best friends.” You knock on the door, shifting your weight as Sam stands next to you. You chuckle as you feel heat behind you, letting out a breath. “Hippie, do you mind?”
“Not at all,” he cooes. “The view is...more than pleasing,” he adds.
“No wonder my dad doesn't like you,” you say, a grin glued to your face. You knock once more, leaning over and looking into the window. The locks click; the sound of muffled chatter on the other side almost drowning out the sound. Moments later, the door swings open. Dean frowns at you all and darts his tongue over his lips. He has one baby on his hip, the other is in a holster wrapped around his torso.
“Hey college boy,” Dean grunts, flicking his eyes to you. “College girl.” He frowns at Gadreel, cocking an eyebrow. “Possible stoner.”
“I resent that,” Gadreel grumbles.
“When did THIS happen?” Sam asks, gesturing to the babies.
“Donna was pregnant, Sammy, they had to come out sometime.”
“Twins?” he asks. Dean gapes at him, glancing at the infants with a frown.
“No, this one is a replica – yes twins, Sam.” Dean glances between you all once more before throwing a hand up. “Something you need? Came back for a trip down memory lane?”
“No...we're going on a road trip –”
“No,” Dean cuts Sam off, staring at him blankly. “I hope you weren't asking for Baby.”
“I....was.”
“I already answered, it's a no –” he cuts himself off as Donna wraps her arms around him, a small smile forming on his face. “Go back to sleep baby, I got 'em.”
“Just wanted to see my favorite boys,” she says, pecking Dean on the cheek before pecking the cooing babies. She pauses when she sees you all, a toothy grin tugging at her cheeks. “And my favorite cooky kids!”
“Cooky?” Dean chuckles, shaking his head. Donna brushes past Dean and your throat runs dry. “Donna –” he pauses when Gadreel whistles, slowly turning to Sam's frat brother with a glare.
“Come here,” she cooes, throwing her arms around you.
“Don,” you squeak, patting her back. “Maybe you wanna...put something on?” you whisper. She pulls away, frowning and staring down. All she has on is an open flannel and a pair of lacy panties. Donna giggles, buttoning up the flannel with a huff.
“Sorry, I'm used to it just being me and Dean-o. To what do I owe the pleasure?”
“They wanted to borrow Baby for a road trip,” Dean blurts, his eyebrows shooting up. “I said no.”
“Road trip?” she says, humming and tapping her chin. “They can use Sunflower!”
“Uhh....” Dean's voice trails off as she gives him an excited look, his eyes filling with adoration. “Yeah, better than nothing.”
“Sunflower?” Sam asks, furrowing his brow.
…...........
“We aren't really taking this are we?” Sam whispers, twitching a smile when Donna hands him the car keys.
“I like it,” Gadreel chuckles.
“Of course you like it!” Sam snaps. You sigh, poking your lip out.
“I like it too.”
“Oh come on,” Sam groans. You and Gadreel look at him in near unison, wide grins on your faces. Sighing, he throws a hand up. “Fine.”
–
Gadreel jumps out of the van, grinning and running toward a porta-potty.
“I'm gonna go take a leak, pump the gas,” he yells over his shoulder. Sam climbs out of the car and runs his fingers over the colorful paint, furrowing his brow and turning his eyes to you. You smile and head toward the gas station.
“Where do we pay?” he asks, jogging up behind you and stuffing his hands into his pockets. You shrug, darting your eyes around until you land on a door. You begin walking toward it, halting when Sam rests a hand on your shoulder.
“You really think I have a chance?” he asks. “I mean...maybe it isn't love but...I've never felt this way before.”
“Then it's a good thing we're going for it,” you chuckle, flinging open the door. It's almost pitch black, but it's barely big enough to count as a closet. “Hey,” you begin, grinning and stepping into the closet. “This would be kinda hot, right?” you giggle. Sam rolls his eyes at you, yelping when you pull him along with you. You close the door, wiggling your eyebrows and biting your lip.
“I can't deal with you,” he chuckles, shifting and smirking. “You think Jess would be into it?”
“Duh,” you giggle. He turns away from you and jiggles the doorknob, pausing with a low gasp. “No. Not stuck.”
“You just gotta...twist it,” you say, smacking his hand away and jingling the door knob. You pause when nothing happens, locking your eyes with his.
“Ok…so we’re stuck,” Sam sighs, shifting his weight. You groan and try to push away from him but the cramped closet barely gives you enough room to breathe. “Sorry I’ll um…let me back up,” he mumbles, jerking his body around. You stifle your laughter as he hits his head, turning your eyes from him when he glares. “Shut up,” he growls. “It’s fine. When Gad notices we’re taking too long pumping the gas…” You pause, shifting once more and inadvertently pressing against him. “We’ll…get back on the road. The festival is all night anyways,” you say. Your eyes widen as you feel the familiar poke of someone getting too excited. “Seriously, Sam?” You giggle and wiggle around in an attempt to move away. He lets out a stifled noise and grips your shoulder, clenching his jaw. “That isn’t helping,” he whispers, his voice wavering. “It’ll go away…sorry.” “I’m flattered. I think I hold the record for giving you the most awkward boners.” You giggle, giving him a tight-lipped smile. Sam’s face flushes and he turns his head away, crossing his leg over. “Standing so close right now, it's the seventh-grade dance all over again. Our first, and last, awkward slow dance.” You sigh contently, the memory of your poofy salmon-pink dress coming to mind. It was a disaster. “What was playing? Do you remember?” He asks. You’d never forget that train wreck of a night; him even asking if you remembered is insulting. “Africa,” you say, leaning your head against the wall and smiling. “…until Lucifer dumped that bowl of punch on your head, then it was ‘It’s Tricky’,” you say. He throws his head back with laughter, thumping it against the wall. “That was a fun fight.” “What? He gave you a bloody nose and gave me a wedgie,” he chuckles and meets your gaze. You grin, nodding. Sam shakes his head, stroking his fingers through his hair. “What am I gonna do with you?” “Let’s see where the night takes us.”
You sigh as the door flies open, squinting as the sunlight stings your eyes.
“Thank you,” Gadreel chuckles, patting a woman's arm and shaking his head. “The clerk told me she saw you too walk around the wrong side of the building,” he begins, tssking you with a grin. “We have a perfectly good van for you to fool around in,” he says. Sam chuckles and walks out of the closet, stretching his arms above his head. As you move to leave, Gadreel holds a hand up to you. He pulls a rumpled piece of paper from his pocket, wagging it at you. “Number eighteen.”
“Number eighteen,” you concur, nodding your head with a lost look. “What now?”
“Bucket list,” he chuckles, unfolding the paper and showing it to you. “Make out in a janitors closet.”
“Really? Your goals aren't very high, are they?” you giggle, shaking your head. You point your thumb to the gas station. “She was pretty. Ask her.”
“She was pretty, wasn't she?” He hums, taking a step toward you. “But you said you'd help me with my list, remember?”
“If you want to kiss me, just ask,” you coo, cocking an eyebrow. “Who would deny a set of lips like that?” you add. He smiles sheepishly, turning his eyes to the ground.
“Can I kiss you?” he asks, smiling when you nod.
He pushes you against the wall, pressing his lips against yours and cupping your face. You giggle, running your hands down his back and over the curve of his ass. He nibbles at your lip, soft noises escaping his lips as you press against him. Gadreel begins pulling out of the kiss, but you chase his mouth, hungry for the feeling of his plush lips against yours. By the time you realize that the door is closed, it's too late.
“Crap,” you sigh, resting your head against the wall with your hands resting on his hips.
“Worth it. Terrible idea, but worth it.” Gadreel runs a finger over his lip with a breathless laugh. “If you kiss Sam like that, he'll be putty in your hands.”
"Are we really talking about Sam after you kissed me like that?" you ask, giggling. He shrugs, leaning forward. The tiny space didn't allow for much room to begin with, but having him so close, even after damn near shoving your tongue shoved down his throat, is making your heart pound.
"I'm just trying to be helpful," he whispers, brushing a feathery light kiss against your lips. It leaves you breathless.
You turn your eyes to the ground as the door flies open, brushing past Gadreel and mumbling a 'thank you' to Sam. “Gad,” you say, pausing and turning to Gadreel. “Remember, anything on your list involving that ass or those lips, I'll gladly help with.”
“It sounds as if you're falling for me, that's dangerous.”
“Do I want to know?” Sam asks, furrowing his brow. Gadreel purses his lips and slowly shakes his head.
“Probably not.”
You make your way back to the van, climbing into the passenger seat and pulling on your seatbelt. Sam hops into the driver's seat, a frown on his face. “You ok?” you ask. He nods silently, pushing the key into the ignition. A hand lands on your arm, and you flinch, whirling around to the source. “Gad, Jesus –”
“We might have an issue,” Gadreel says, a perplexed look on his face. “Or I may be hallucinating,” he adds. You and Sam climb out of the van, slowly following Gadreel to the back of the van. The trunk's doors are still open. Laying in a pile of colorful blankets is a red-headed woman. Sam begins to speak, flinching as the woman leans up. She rubs a hand over her eye, staring between you all. With hooded eyes, she smiles, lazily waving.
“Hey.”

I'm totally with you on DeanxDonna and SamxEileen, but also CasxMeg are life goals. The banter she throws at him and his vague understanding of certain things is just so damn cute
Oh, I forgot about them. I like them too. I love, love, love Meg 2.0... She's so sassy

I wish...where there wasn't a pairing. Don't get me wrong I love a good love story, but I don't really hardcore ship anyone in Supernatural. (Except DeanxDonna omfg) I like that family and friendships are really the heart of it. I totally understand pairings in fics and I love reading them, but sometimes I wish there would be more friends, and not just we're friends as a plot device to fall in love in 4 chapters. I really hope this doesn't come off bad...
(I didn’t take any offense to this btw)
Now, about your ask. YES. ALL OF IT. I actually totally agree with you on a lot of this. I wish it happened more too (says the girl who claims to be a writer and could easily just write more of it but whatever). I don’t know if it’s because I personally have a lot of really close male friends, so I see the value there. And ok fine I’m forever single so it’s easier to relate to friend stories, because I don’t know if I’ve ever truly been in love (that go a little deep sorry.)
That being said I have an idea cooking that is more of the “we’re the 3 best friends that anyone could have” variety…so stay tuned.
(also if I did ship it would be Dean/Donna…also I loved Bobby and Jody…oh and Megstiel. But I could take ‘em or leave 'em honestly.)

A/N: None of the images are mine blah, blah, blah, duh. This is a AU very much inspired by @browneyedhunter.
Characters: Cop!Dean Winchester, Cop! Donna Hanscum
Pairings: Deonna
“Ah! Today was a doosey” Dean says as he jumps over the back of his couch. “Thought they would never let us outta there” he chuckles, swinging his arm to rest on the back of it and looking back to try and see Donna. She was currently dating someone but Dean couldn’t help it, he saw her everyday but not often with her loose, compared to a tight bun, and in yoga pants with a flowy tank top instead of the normal navy blue uniform.
“Well What did you expect, they wanted celebrate our 15th anniversary on the force” she retorts from the kitchen where she was grabbing beers and making Dean a bowl of popcorn. “Extra butter, hun?”
“Yep. Melt it, mix it, and shak-“
“I know, Dean” she interrupted with a roll of her eyes as she opens the fridge grabs the butter then a bowl putting it in the microwave. “I’ve only been doing this at least once a week for fifteen years now, well seventeen because that was when we ended our silly feud at the academy” she rolls her eyes and smiles remembering as she opens the bag of popcorn pouring the little bit of butter in and holding it closed to shake and mix before putting it in the bowl and licking the small bit from her thumb. She let her eyes close for that brief second to enjoy that sensation having only had a small smoothie for breakfast and a small salad at lunch, she opted out of the cake, soda, and cookies during the festivities at the station.
“Damn.....long time....not even counting that year we had that whole rivalry at the academy....eighteen years” he says, looking down at his hand.
“Yep” she comes over smiling and handing him a beer as she swung her body over the back of his couch and folded her legs beside her. She rested her head on her hand with her arm on the couch’s back and faced him.
He took the beer and placed his hand on her knee. “These years have been awesome” he lets his eyes linger on her big brown ones for a moment then quickly averts his attention to the tv. “Tonight’s movie is, drum roll please madam”
Donna shook her head and made a drum roll on the table.
“Thankyou, you are going to hate me, but you have bailed on me for a month now, The Munsters: Return to England” he smirks.
“Aww Dean, Comeon!” She threw her head back in annoyance causing him to let out a hearty laugh.
“Ha! That’s what you get, beautiful. Speaking of, why aren’t you with him tonight?” He asks tossing popcorn into his mouth. “Also, why haven’t you touched the popcorn, and why didn’t you eat at the station. You love cake” he raises a brow but his sincerity quickly takes over.
“I’m on a diet....again”
“Why, you are perfect. I mean that Donna” he was looking in her eyes, this wasn’t their first time having this talk.
“He left me.....said it was my work....but I know better....”
Dean didn’t say a word, only pulled her to his chest and held her head. It was the perfect opportunity to nuzzle his nose in her soft hair. His other motive was that if a tear escaped him, she couldn’t see.
“Life goes on” she says sitting up and pulling away only to be brought back to his warmth.
“You okay?”
“Oh, you betcha. Dean, you can let me go” she giggles.
“Shut up.” He doesn’t sound playful.
“Dean, hun, you alright?” She asks as she blinks confused.
“I’m tired” His voice was dry.
“It was a long day-“
“That is not what I mean, Sunshine” he brings his hand to his mouth in a lose fist as a tear escapes him, thankful he was behind her and the movie had started.
“Then....what do you mean?”

A Town Called Christmas Day 7
Pairing: Sam x Roni, Dean x Donna,
Summary: The Winchesters get stuck in a small town after a snow storm passes through. Sam thinks it’s the perfect time for them to take a break. How will they cope with a small town Christmas?
Word Count: 3182
Warnings: A little bit of language, all the flirting, drinking, being at a bar, so much fluff between Dean and Donna it’s crazy!
Wishing on stars for good times and happiness!
A Town Called Christmas Masterlist
Sam was warm and comfortable, that’s all he knew. He moved slightly and realized he was still on the couch with Roni. His arm wrapped tighter around her, pulling her into him. She nuzzled down further under the blankets and into him. Sam didn’t open his eyes, just drifted back to sleep with a grin on his face. It was too early to get up anyway.
An hour later Roni’s alarm on her phone started going off and she began to stir. A small groan escaped her lips. Sam moved back to allow her some room.
“Mornin’.” he mumbled as he laid back into the couch.
“Mm.. morning.” Roni looked behind her. “Do I have to get up?”
“I think your phone says you do.” Sam laughed.
“Stupid alarm.” Roni finally moved the blanket and sat up on the edge of the couch. She reached out for her phone and finally turned the alarm off.
“Are you working today?” Sam asked as he stretched his arms above his head.
“Yeah. Full shift. I won’t be done till tonight and after that I have to go to my aunt and uncle’s for dinner.”
“Oh.” It was all Sam could say.
“Sorry.”
“Don’t be. I’ll just go bother Dean.” Sam tried to be optimistic but he had spent most of every day with Roni for the past couple of days. This would be different.
“Well, maybe we could meet up later.” Roni said hopefully.
“Maybe.” Sam didn’t seem hopeful. “I’m gonna go. Let you get ready.”
He moved from out behind her and made his way to the door. He grabbed his boots from where they had been left the night before. He slipped them on easily and saw that Roni was standing there with his flannel and jacket. He grabbed just the jacket.
“Keep it.” he told her, referring to his shirt, before kissing her.
All she did was smile and nod. He kissed her one more time and then opened the door.
“Bye Sam.”
“Bye Roni.”
Sam walked back to the hotel alone. He couldn’t comprehend why he was feeling this way. Roni was just some girl. He couldn’t have a life with her, there was no way. He should stop it now. When he left town he would never see her again. He would make sure of that.
As he got back to his room he could hear music coming from Dean’s room. Curious as to what was going on, he knocked on the door between the rooms. Sam was definitely not expecting what he saw when the door opened.
“Hey, Sam. You’re back.”
Donna stood there in shorts and one of Dean’s t shirts. Music was coming from her phone on the nightstand and she was currently a little sweaty.
“What are you doing?” Sam questioned as he looked around the room for Dean.
“Oh, just getting some exercise in.” she ushered Sam into the room. “Dean went to grab food. He should be back soon. I don’t think he was grabbing anything for you though sweetie.”
“It’s all good. I’ll go get something.” Sam looked around again.
“You okay there Sammy? You don’t look so good.” Donna stepped toward him. She reached up to feel his head but he backed away.
“Yeah. I’m fine. Just ready to get out of here.”
“What? I thought you would want to stay.” Donna’s worry came through even more as Sam shook his head.
“Nah. We need to get back. Things to hunt, people to save, that kind of thing.” Just as Sam said that Dean came barreling through the door with food in hand.
“Sam. Hey. When did you get back?” Dean dropped the food on the table and came to talk to the other two in the doorway.
“Just a few minutes ago. I got back and Donna was blaring music.”
“Working out is always better with music.” Donna added in.
“You don’t need to work out.” Dean scoffed. He started pulling out food from the bags and placing it on the table. Sam watched Donna blush and looked at his brother, curious as to what was going on between the two.
“Do I need to go grab something?” Sam asked as he watched his brother pull more food than possible from the bags.
“Only if you think that Donna and I can eat all of this.” Dean motioned to all the food. “I got plenty.”
That was when Dean really looked up at his brother. “Where’s Roni?”
“Working.” was all Sam said.
Dean worried at the look on his brother’s face but he didn’t comment. “Let’s eat! Come on, dig in.”
There was a wide variety of food spread across the table. It seemed Dean couldn’t make up his mind of what to get. Donna sat beside Dean and started to look through all the containers. The room stayed quiet now. No one offered up any words or comments on the food. Dean dug into a burger as Donna found a sandwich to her liking. Sam just sat there. He wasn’t particularly hungry.
Donna took in Sam as he sat there slumped in on himself. “So, Dean, Sam wants to leave. Says that you two need to get back to the whole hunting thing.”
Dean choked on a fry and stared at his brother. “What?”
“Figured it was time to get back to it.”
“You don’t want to stay a little bit longer?”
“No. I think it’s time we go. We never stay this long in one place.” Sam finally grabbed a coffee off the table and started to drink.
Donna and Dean shared a look. “Well I would like to stay at least one more day. There’s a Winter Carnival tomorrow. Marks the Winter Solstice. It looks like fun.”
“You guys have fun.” Sam commented.
Sam refused to talk about what was going on. Instead of pressuring him more, Donna convinced Dean to come out shopping with her.
“Christmas presents. Come on.” She pulled him out of the room.
Dean followed behind her, being lead by their clasped hands. They walked into all the different shops as Donna searched for gifts to give to Jody and the girls. She was looking at some leather wallets for Sam when Dean spotted a great gift for her.
“I’ll be right back. No peeking.” He looked down at her.
“Promise.” she leaned up and kissed him gently. Dean just smiled as he walked away.
It was perfect. The leather was soft and smooth. Black, shiny, and fur lined. Donna would definitely look good in this. Dean quickly looked through the rack, hoping he was grabbing the right size. He didn’t want to make her feel bad.
“Can I help you find something?”
Dean turned to find a woman standing there waiting to help in any way. “Yeah, that would be great.”
Dean pointed over to Donna as she browsed through the selection of scarves. “That gorgeous woman over there deserves an amazing gift. I want to get her one of these leather jackets but I’m not sure what size.”
The woman looked over at Donna. “She’s a lucky woman. Is she active in her everyday life?”
“She’s a kickass sheriff.” Dean smirked.
“Well, I would go for one that was a little bigger so that she could wear it over her uniform but still fit snuggly.” The woman rifled through the jackets for a moment and then pulled one off the rack.
“This one.” she handed it to Dean. “It even has an extra pocket inside for valuables or things that need to be hidden away.”
“Awesome.” Dean knew he did good.
“Want me to be discreet? I’ll take it up there and wrap it up so she doesn’t see.”
“Perfect. Thank you.”
The clerk walked away with the jacket and Dean went to find Donna. As soon as he found her he wrapped his arms around her from the back and kissed her cheek.
“Oh, well, hello to you too.” She turned in his arms. “All done?”
“Yep, found a very special gift for a certain someone.” he winked at her.
She smirked back at him. “Glad you found something for Castiel.”
“Oh, ha ha. You’re hilarious.” he snarked back.
“And don’t forget adorable.” she added in.
“Definitely adorable,”
A blast of cold air accompanied the opening of the door to the shop and in walked Roni. Dean held tight to Donna as he called out to her.
“Hey! Sam said you were working all day.”
“Oh, I just took a short break.” Roni said quietly as she walked over to them.
“Last minute shopping?” Donna questioned as Roni joined them
“Well, I was looking for something for Sam but I’m not sure.” a sad look crossed her face. “You three aren’t staying for Christmas are you?”
The waver in her voice made Dean realize she already knew the answer to her question.
“Sorry sweetie. I think the boys want to head home soon. I know we’re staying for the first night of the festival though.” Donna smiled at the woman, hoping to get her to smile.
“Oh, okay. Well maybe I will see you guys there.”
“Hopefully, I need your help navigating everything.”
“Join us.” Dean encouraged.
“I might, but you guys have fun. Gotta make this quick.” Roni waved as she walked to the back of the shop.
Dean frowned as she walked away. “I don’t like this.”
“Neither do I but it’s Sam’s decision. He has to make his own mistakes, Dean.” Donna moved out of his arms but stayed close. “I have what I need, what about you?”
“Just need to pay and we’re good.”
“Then go.” she pushed him away playfully.
After Dean paid for the gift the couple walked back to the hotel. They dropped off the gifts in the trunk of the impala and walked up to the room. There they found the door between the rooms closed and locked.
“I don’t like this at all.” Dean repeated his sentiment from earlier.
“Maybe we should just let him be. He may just want some alone time.” Donna took a spot on the bed and laid back against the plush pillows.
“I can still not like it.” Dean grumbled.
“I know. You’re just worried about him. I get it.”
Donna patted the bed, telling Dean to join her.
“I sure as hell am glad I told Cas to not get us out of here.”
“And why is that?” Donna giggled as Dean jumped onto the bed and pulled her into him.
“Because then I wouldn’t be doing this.” Dean kissed her cheek. “Laying here with a beautiful woman, in a nice hotel, enjoying Christmas.”
The two of them cuddled up together, both content in just laying there together. Donna fell asleep first, tucked in to Dean’s side. The green eyed man felt her breathing even out and body relax into him more. He kissed the top of her head that he could reach and followed into slumber for a quick nap.
Sam was rapped up in research. He had opened his laptop and now couldn’t pull himself away. There had been a few incidents that he had found. He called around and asked a few questions before he called hunters he knew were in the area. Sending them in the right direction and giving them the information that they needed, he felt helpful. They each asked about his and Dean’s whereabouts but all he told them was that they were caught up in something else at the time.
He had even called Jody to ask her a few things and mentioned that Donna was with them. As soon as Jody knew that, she was inviting them to come by soon so they could see all of them before the holidays were over. Sam agreed, saying that would probably be near her in the next few days.
The whole time he was on the phone he ignored the random messages and one phone call from Roni. He didn’t want to do this to her anymore. She deserved better than him or this life he had. She deserved to keep her small town life and find someone who would make her happy here.
Sam had ignored when Dean and Donna had come back to the hotel. He heard parts of their conversation and Donna’s giggles but left them alone. He didn’t want to invade their happy bubble.
It had gotten quiet again and he wondered if they had fallen asleep. Just as he was going to check he felt his stomach grumble. Deciding to get something to eat, he headed out the door and away from the sleeping, happy couple.
Just over an hour later Sam returned to the hotel with a full stomach. Before he could even make it past the entrance someone was calling out for him.
“Sam, good, I caught you before you headed up.” Charlotte had stopped him on the stairs. “I’m inviting you to dinner tonight. I know Roni would want you there.”
“I can’t, sorry. We’re leaving tomorrow. Need to get packed up.”
“Oh! Wait, does Veronica know? She said something about joining Dean and Donna at the fair tomorrow.” a puzzled look came across her face.
“I thought for sure you would be with them.”
“No, I’m not going. They wanted to. I think I’m going to head out tonight. Head to an old friend’s place before all the traffic starts.”
“Oh. Well sorry to hear you’re leaving.”
“Yeah, I’ll have to come visit again some time.” Sam said this knowing he would most likely never come back to this town.
He left the woman at the bottom of the stairs and went right to his room. As soon as he closed the door he could hear movements from the other room. Hoping to all that was good that his brother and Donna weren’t having sex, he made his way back to the table in the corner. When he sat down he heard a knock at the door and got back up to open it.
“Good, you’re back. You can join us.” Donna had been the one knocking on the door.
“Join you for what?” Sam watched as both his brother and his friend pulled on their boots.
“We are going out tonight. Dinner and then drinks. We all deserve it.”
It was then that Sam realized Donna had on a nice top and Dean had on his nicest jeans and a henley under his plaid shirt.
“Come on Sammy. Let’s get you out of that funk.” Dean commented as he finished lacing up his boot.
“You two have fun.”
“Hell no. You’re coming out.” Dean stood up and looked at Donna. “Give me just a minute. Gotta get him ready.”
Dean pushed his brother back into his side of the room.
“You look gorgeous by the way.” Dean had turned back to Donna and winked.
“So are you and Donna an actual thing now?” Sam questioned as Dean shut the door.
“No. Maybe. Shut up, bitch.” Dean was grinning by the end.
“So, that’s a yes.” Sam sat down at the table. “Happy for you.”
“Don’t sit down. Get up, get dressed, we are all going out.”
“I really don’t feel like it.”
“Tough shit.” Dean started going through Sam’s bag and pulled out a shirt that didn’t have stains. “Get dressed. Meet us downstairs in ten. Got it? Good.”
Dean left Sam alone in his room. He grabbed the shirt his brother had pulled from his bag and exchanged it for the one he was currently wearing.
“Maybe this will be good.” he tried to convince himself.
Sam met the other two downstairs and they headed out to the local bar. They entered to find it pretty full. Donna lead the group to a booth and Dean grabbed the first round. Sam looked around and noticed a few faces that looked somewhat familiar. Then one face in particular grabbed his attention. Roni was there. Of course she was.
“I’m leaving.” Sam went to stand but Dean appeared back at the booth.
“No you don’t.” Dean pushed him back down. “Don’t pay her any attention if you don’t want to.”
“Why is she here? She’s supposed to be at her aunt’s for dinner.” Sam grumbled against the bottle at his lips.
“Maybe she bailed.” Donna offered.
Sam didn’t respond, just put his head down and tried not to think about the woman on the other side of the room.
About a half hour later Sam heard Roni’s laugh float across the room. He looked up to find her with some other guy. She was clearly becoming more and more intoxicated. She caught his eye and just smirked at him. Sam bolted from his seat and angrily made his way out of the bar.
Dean stood up to follow but Donna pushed him aside and made her way out to find Sam. She walked out into the cold and looked around the parking lot. Nothing. Walking around to the back of the building, she found him. He was just behind the bar, standing on the snow covered ground, staring up at the sky.
“You okay?”
“Over it. Just ready to get out of this small town.” Sam kicked at the snow on his boots.
Instead of digging deeper Donna looked up at the stars. “I love nights like these. The sky is clear and you can see all the stars in the sky.”
“As a kid I used to wish on stars that my life would be great. That I would be happy and have a family.”
“Sorry that it didn’t work out for you.”
“What are you talking about Sam?” she scolded him. “I am so happy, it’s ridiculous. I have an amazing family. I have Jody, the girls, Dean, you.”
Sam looked at her in confusion.
“You boys have told Jody multiple times ‘Family don’t end in blood’ and it doesn’t. All of you guys are the closest thing I have to family. I couldn’t be happier with the family that I got to choose.”
Sam pulled her into a hug. She gripped him back tightly. Sam needed that. The reminder that he did have a good life, a family, people that love him.
“Come on, let’s get some dinner.” she patted him on the back. “I want to see how drunk I can get Dean and then beat his butt at pool.”
Sam let out a hearty laugh as he followed her back into the bar. He ignored Roni for the rest of the night and didn’t even see her leave with some drunk guy who was groping at her. The Winchesters and Donna spent the evening laughing and drinking. Donna did end up winning against Dean at pool but Sam was pretty sure he let her.
They all got back to the hotel and Sam wished them a good night and made his way into his room. He undressed and put himself under the covers. Maybe one more day in this town wouldn’t be too bad.

Dean/Donna AU created for spnkinkbingo | DeanDonna square partial nudity, violence
Dean grew up fighting. His dad, John, was a retired boxer who ran a gym and threw both his boys into the life, and made sure they were both damn good. Nobody could touch the Winchester boys. But Sam’s heart was never in it, and once he was old enough, he skipped out and went to college. Dean though? Dean stayed. He was never one for disappointing his old man. And with Sammy gone, Dean tried even harder to please his old man. He trained longer, fought harder, and gave up any distractions that would get in the way of his promising career.
Things change when Dean’s father gets into an accident. The doctor’s say he’ll never walk again, let alone fight, and Dean has to take over John’s responsibilities at the gym. He trains the fighters, does the books, and on the rare occasions where he's not stuck at work, he visits his father. They catch a game or a fight and talk about how the gym is doing - John never seems to be fully satisfied, regardless of how well Dean’s running the place - and John’s nurse aide, Donna, helps Dean make dinner.
John complains all the time about how he “isn’t some invalid” and doesn’t need any help, but Dean knows that he appreciates Donna, and Donna seems entirely unfazed by John’s jabs. Dean gets to know Donna, over time, and learns that she’s working as an aide to pay her way through college as she majors in Justice Studies. She’s bubbly and full of Midwestern charm, and he’s not sure he’s ever heard her swear, which is usually something Dean might scoff at. But Donna’s confident and head strong and never fails to make Dean laugh and can be damn intimidating when she wants to be.
More and more, Dean finds that he has Donna on his mind. He often can’t wait to go over to his dad’s when he’s free so he can see her, tell her about his day, share with her some lame joke he heard that he thinks she would get a kick out of. But he knows he shouldn’t be thinking that way. His life is too busy to allow him to be in any sort of relationship, and she’s taking care of his father for Christ’s sake. If something happened between them and it didn’t end well, it would be awkward for all three of them, and he’d rather not see her quit because she feels things are too uncomfortable to go on.
So he doesn’t make a move, and when she flirts with him, he tells himself he’s obviously imagining it. (That doesn’t stop him from flirting back though.) Things carry on like that, with Donna flirting and Dean doing a terrible job of pretending that it’s something that shouldn’t be happening. Seeing her becomes the highlight of his day, even with John moaning and groaning in the background about whatever’s gotten on his nerves most recently.
Donna’s presence becomes especially welcomed in his life when work gets more stressful. Not only do two loyal customers get poached by another gym, but it turns out John took out a loan a little while back and put the gym up as collateral. With John out of work, and with Dean not having known about the loan, they’ve fallen behind on payments and if they don’t come up with the money soon, they could lose the family business.
So Dean decides to do something risky: he gets in the ring again. But he doesn’t have time to get an official fight, and there’s no guarantee the purse would be big enough for him to pay off his father’s loan anyway. Instead he turns to the world of illegal underground fighting. He gets a guy from the gym to come with him, placing a bet on Dean to win.
Dean wins the fight, but only by the skin of his teeth. He has to get practically carried out of there, and he’s covered in so many bruises and so much blood that his own mother would barely recognize him. But the money he got from the bet is enough to pay off John’s debt, and as an added bonus, Donna’s there to patch him up after the fight. As she tends to his wounds, Dean’s overwhelmed by how glad he is that she’s there.
He decides that his previous decision about avoiding any future awkwardness should things not work out, wasn’t one of his best decisions. He was just sacrificing his own happiness, like he’s done in every aspect of his life. So he decides to do something for himself for once, and asks her out. She says yes, on the condition that he doesn’t get his face beat in again any time soon.

A/N: yeah I got nothin
Characters: Cop! Dean, Cop! Donna
Pairings: Deonna
“What do you mean?” Donna manages to wriggle away and turn to him, sitting down after moving his legs up.
He shakes his head. “I am tired of this”
“Of what?”
Dean sits up, staying silent for a moment as he brought his beer bottle to his lips and took a sip before licking the remainder off of his bottom lip. He looked to his hands. “This” he uses his finger to gesture to point between them and then glances up to her, his feet now firmly on the floor, elbows on his knees as Donna brought her hand up placing it on his shoulder and he grabs it to caress her fingers with his thumb. “Sick and tired of this”
“This? Ya sick of me?”
“No! No, no.....I’m sick of you-“
“Stuff it,D!” She stands up to grab her coat and head for the door only to be pulled back.
“No! I’m sick of you hating yourself! I-I’m sick of you going on these stupid diets you don’t need because you have a amazing body!! That’s not all I am sick of.....” he rubs the back of his neck as she sat back down.
“I am sick and damn tired of men hurting you and sick of telling you that you deserve better.....because you really do!......Donna, Sunshine, I am sick and tired of watching all that when I am right here, in front of you the whole time.”
“De-“ she reaches for his hand.
“N-No, let me finish.” He wipes the tears pouring down his face. “I watched your whole relationship, the whole shitty marriage with Doug that you had back in the academy and I had that whole rivalry with you because when you kicked my ass at something it made you happy.....damn, I suck at this talking about my feelings you know that sweetheart....” he was pacing in front of her. “Every time you get hurt I catch you and you are the most badass woman I know and you still won’t-.....so you divorced the bastard, I had the chance but I let it slip because it wasn’t right you were so fragile and then this guy-now he has gone and thrown three fucking years with you away!” He kicks the couch.
“Dean!”
“I am not done.” He growls.
“O-okay”
“I thought....she’s moved on....she’s happy, so I’ll be happy I still get to see my Sunshine at work everyday and we still have our movie nights....that is until last month.....but....now he’s hurt you....here I am again.....here you are again......” he falls sitting beside her as he rubs his mouth. “Donna.....” he looks up at her.
“Dean.....” she hugs him with her head on his shoulder. “......I need time....okay?” She wipes some tears with her thumb and kisses his cheek. “Ya talked about your feelings takes my breath away” she giggles. “How do you know it was exactly three years?”
Dean nods reluctantly. “Yeah....take your time, and because for the past three years the only one I’ve been with is-“ he cut himself short, holding his right hand up as he took a swig with his left.
Her eyes widen and she gasps. “You’re joking, right? Just pulling my leg”
“Nope. The last time I went out, it went well, until....” he stops looking down as a dorky smile formed on his face.
“What?” She slaps his shoulders.
“I called her Donna”
“What is so bad about that?”
“I called her your name, in bed”
Her eyes stretch “oh. My.”
A moment of awkward silence fills the room before it’s broken by them both laughing and falling back to lay down, her on top of him with her head on his chest.
“Alright! Let’s watch the damn movie” he turns to lay on his side so he can hold her. “......did you eat at all today?”
“I had a smoothie for breakfast and a salad for lunch, Okie?”
“You’re having bacon in the morning” He kisses her head and they watch the movie until she falls asleep.
“Donna...” he whispers and smiles, stroking her hair until he is asleep.
