The Dangers of Hope Ch. 10
Series Summary: When Y/N shows up at Camp Chitaqua with her little girl in tow, her bloodshot eyes leave no doubt that she's infected. Or is she? Everything Dean has come to know for certain over the last five hellish years, is about to be challenged.
Pairings/Characters in the series: Endverse!Dean x Reader, Emma (OFC), Castiel, Sam Winchester, Lucifer, Michael, Zachariah, Risa, Johnston (OMC), Patrick (OMC), Theresa (OFC), other survivors and soldiers.
Series Explicit 18 +/Warnings: Show level violence, some gore, angst, smut, fluff all the usual for a series of mine. ❤️ Endverse!Dean (that's a warning for his anger and callousness as well as his extreme hotness. 😁) Each chapter will have their own specific warnings.
Chapter Warnings: Angst, show level violence
Word Count: 7,447
A/N: So, I've had this idea for quite a while. Basically since I watched The Last of Us. I loved Pedro in the role of Joel, but I kept thinking how incredible Jensen would have been. Which then made me think of how amazing he was as Endverse!Dean which then led me to this idea. Lol! I've stolen the premise of Ellie's storyline from TLOU, but made her a grown up, a reader insert, and a love interest for Dean.
If you've never seen TLOU, don't worry - you don't need to have seen it to understand this story. 😊
I've taken some liberties with the Endverse in my story, changed a few things from canon, but kept lots of things too.
I sincerely hope you enjoy the story. It will be ten chapters and I will do my very best to post one chapter every weekend. ❤️
A/N 2: Sorry again that this chapter got postponed a day. But here is the conclusion of the series. (Except for the epilogue coming next Saturday - or maybe a little earlier. 😉) I've absolutely loved writing this series. Loved living in the Endverse for a while, so thank you so much to everyone who came along with me. And an extra, super-duper thank you to everyone who commented and reblogged their thoughts about the story as we went along. Kind words fuel authors. ❤️ And oh yeah, this chapter's a bit long. Sorry! 😊

Y/N didn’t want to look away, she wanted to keep her eyes on Dean. But the white light was absolutely blinding and she eventually had no choice but to turn away from it. The rush of white noise was almost deafening before becoming suddenly silent.
There was only darkness behind her eyelids now so Y/N opened her eyes and stood up straight, looking at Dean where he still stood, halfway between her and Zachariah. His back was to her and she took a step towards him.
“Dean?” She questioned quietly.
He turned slightly so he could see her over his shoulder. He peered at her for a moment, almost scientifically, before he gave his head a brief shake.
“No.”
Y/N would never be able to explain it, but somehow it was Dean’s face, Dean's voice, and yet it wasn’t him. Something was missing from his sparkling, jewel green eyes.
This was Michael. Dean was gone.
Without a moment’s pause, the archangel strode towards the other angels and in the span of a breath they were all gone, leaving behind only the sound of fluttering wings.
Y/N stood stock still, staring at the empty, open field where Dean had stood less than a minute before. Around her chaos began to spread. The people who’d been putting out the fire were rushing towards them now, trying to find out what was going on. Screams echoed as people saw Johnston lying dead on the ground.
Everyone was asking her questions, but she had no answers, she had no words. She just stood, as people rushed around her, feeling as though she’d wake up at any moment. She’d wake up and Dean’s arms would be around her and when he woke she’d tell him about the horrible dream and how scary it had been and he’d hold her gently and tell her it was all just a nightmare.
“...I have my arms wrapped tightly around you and we’re both safe…Close your eyes and stay there, in that moment.”
Dean’s soft words whispered their way into her mind and she shivered. This couldn’t be happening.
Without warning her knees buckled and she fell to the muddy, wet ground, her muscles simply going limp. She covered her face as more tears began to fall. She felt the weight of all her tears gathering in her chest, threatening to crush her, when suddenly she heard Risa calling her name.
When she looked up the soldier was standing over her, still holding Emma in her arms.
“Y/N, you can’t. You just can’t right now. Emma needs you, and I’ve got to… “ She waved an arm towards the people who were panicking all around them.
Y/N felt her mind rebelling, all she wanted was to sit there in the mud and let the cool night air numb her to the all-consuming ache spreading throughout her body.
But she looked up into Emma’s little, terrified face, and forced herself to really hear the horror and confusion all around her; she knew she couldn’t just fall apart.
She nodded at Risa and pushed herself to her feet. She took Emma from her and the other woman gave her a nod and moved into action, working with Cas and her fellow soldiers to start organizing the chaos, trying to get campers back to their tents. They also started debating how best to deal with the burnt out cabin and Johnston’s lifeless body
For her part, Y/N simply turned away from the cacophony and walked slowly back to the red tent. Emma was sobbing on her shoulder and Y/N gathered every ounce of her exhausted strength to try and console her little girl.
When they reached the tent Y/N set Emma down on her cot and wrapped a warm blanket around her while she went to light the stove and warm up the tent. After standing out in the cool night air for so long with no jackets, getting them warm was the first order of business.
Before long the little stove was chugging out ample heat, and she went back over to Emma and snuggled her daughter into her lap. After a while the little girl’s tears subsided into deep, shuddering breaths. Her voice was tiny and quiet when she spoke.
“Dean is gone.”
Y/N felt the whispered words pierce her heart. “Yeah, baby.”
“Will he come back?”
“Yes.” Y/N said it without thinking, her soul making the decision. But she didn’t want to lie to her child either, so she amended her comment. “I’m sure he’s going to try really hard to come back.”
Emma seemed to accept that and was quiet for a little while. Then she spoke again, her soft words tinged with fear.
“Did the bad man kill Eric?”
Y/N squeezed her tighter and nodded against the top of her head. “Yes, baby, because he’s a very bad man.”
“Will he come back to kill us?”
Y/N felt her stomach plummet with fear and heartbreak that her daughter’s mind was so clouded with terror.
Y/N shook her head. “No, baby. He won’t come back now.” She hoped she wasn’t lying.
“Because Dean saved us?”
Y/N felt as though her heart was being crushed. “Yeah, sweet pea, because Dean saved us.”
***
The next few days passed in a haze for Y/N. She was trying desperately to keep it together for Emma’s sake. Her daughter was having nightmares every night and the last thing she needed was her mother crumbling on her. But Y/N was barely sleeping, no more than a couple of hours a night. Every ounce of her being felt exhausted - worn out beyond measure.
There were no classes to teach, thank goodness; the camp was still disorganized and a bit scattered. A dozen or so campers had left, afraid of more angel retaliation. The campers left behind were trying to salvage what they could from the big cabin, and deal with the rest of the burnt out building.
Three days after Dean had gone, Cas came to their tent in the evening, carrying extra wood and asking Y/N if she needed anything.
“No, Cas, we’re good. You don’t have to worry about us.” She said with a forced smile.
“I told Dean I would take care of you.” He said with conviction. “It’s still cold at night, hence the wood. What else do you need?”
Y/N shook her head. “Nothing, Cas. Really.”
He lifted his chin towards Emma who was sleeping on her cot. “How is she?”
Y/N gave a small shrug. “She's trying to cope, like all of us.”
He nodded and then headed out. As he lifted the tent flap, Y/N called him back. When he turned his bright blue gaze on her she hesitated before asking the question that wouldn't leave her mind.
“Can we get him back? Somehow?”
Cas stared at her intensely for a moment before his eyes softened slightly; his deep voice was gentle as he spoke.
“We can hope.”
Y/N closed her eyes. “Yes. Hope.”
When she opened her eyes again, the angel was gone.
***
A week after Dean left they still hadn't figured out any way to get him back, or even how to find him. Cas had begun to hear angel radio again, but the angels were being very quiet. Just the odd remark here and there that made Cas believe that they were still in Kansas, but he couldn't be sure.
The camp had gone back to functioning - mostly. But people kept saying things like, “We’ll run it by the Boss and see what he says.” before realizing that was impossible. The soldiers were trying to run things smoothly between them, and Brandy was helping to keep things as organized as possible.
But Dean was very missed.
A full eight days after losing him, Y/N sat up at the table one night, desperately trying to think up a way to get Dean back to her. Her eyes were scratchy and red-rimmed as she let her head fall into her hands.
She may have fallen asleep right there if there hadn't been a sudden burst of white light. It lit up the tent, blinding her. As it faded slightly, she could just make out a man's shape. Her heart leapt for a moment before realizing this man was much too small to be Dean.
A deep booming voice spoke and shook the ground around them.
“Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. Fear not, Y/N: for thou hast - Ow! Son of a bitch!”
The angel cut off his proclamation and held up his hands as Y/N smacked him repeatedly with a broom. The last of his angelic light went out like a candle and he grabbed the broom away from Y/N and snapped it with incredible ease.
“What the hell, lady?” He rubbed the side of his head where she'd walloped him. “You know that worked great with Mary. SHE knew how to be ‘sore afraid’.”
Y/N went to Emma's cot where her daughter was crying silently, obviously horrified to see another angel, inside their tent this time.
“Get out!” Y/N said with as much strength as she could muster.
“You really don't want that, trust me.” The angel said, his hazel eyes twinkling, a smirk on his thin lips.
“Who are you; what do you want?”
He gave a little bow. “Name’s Gabriel, but I prefer Loki.”
The tent flap opened and suddenly Cas was there with Risa and Patrick flanking him. But Cas pulled up short when he saw the other angel.
“Gabriel?”
“Hey, bro!” Gabriel said cheerfully.
Cas looked to the two soldiers on either side of him. “I'm fine here. You should patrol the area. Look for anything amiss or out of place. But don't approach it without me.”
Both soldiers gave a curt nod and left.
Cas came fully into the tent and his face was very wary. “Gabriel, what are you doing here? Where have you been for the last thousand Millenia or so? Most of us thought you were dead.”
“Nope.” Gabriel's voice was still nonchalant and cheery. “Just in a sort of witness relocation. Got sick to death of Daddy's beefs and Lucifer and Michael's petty squabbling. So, I took a little time off. Sailed around, saw the world, got myself a brand new face.”
He framed his face with his two hands. “Cute, right?”
Cas just frowned at him and Gabriel rolled his eyes. “You have never known how to have fun Castiel.”
Cas raised an eyebrow. “Well, these humans are under my protection, so I'll save the fun until after you tell me what you're doing here.”
Gabriel lost his smirk and he crossed his arms. “Isn't it obvious? I'm here to save the day, as always.”
Cas scoffed. “Not likely. You tend to sew chaos.”
Gabriel shrugged. “What can I say, it's a talent.” He moved back to lean against the table.
“But seriously, I'm so over this apocalypse. As soon as Lucy dumped his little virus on this world, I was outta here. No fun to be had with a bunch of humans barely clinging to life. So, I traveled near and far, all over the galaxy and a little bit further. It's been sort of fun. But let me tell you, there are only so many green-skinned, six-legged chicks you can bang before you start pining for home, you know?”
He gave his head a shake. “Don't know how Captain Kirk did it.”
“Get to the point, brother.” Cas said, annoyance lacing his tone.
“I'm here to help.”
“So you said. How?” Cas asked harshly.
Gabriel shrugged again. “I have a way to shove Lucifer and Michael into the cage.”
From his pocket he pulled out an oddly shaped object. It was an X made up of four circles, four rings, by the looks of it.
He held it up. “Borrowed these from the horsemen. Well,” he shrugged, “to be fair, only Death was willing to part with his, the others didn't wanna give ‘em up easily. But, you know, archangel trumps most. I was glad Death was so cooperative though, he woulda been a tough one to beat.”
Cas stepped up to him and held out his hand. Gabriel dropped the cross into it and Cas peered at it closely.
“The horsemen’s rings. What will this do?”
Gabriel's voice was quiet. “Keys to the cage, brother.”
Cas’ eyes widened. “Lucifer’s cage?”
Gabriel nodded. “And Michael’s too.” He paused for a beat. “And mine.”
Cas frowned. “Yours? Why would you throw yourself into the cage?”
Gabriel shrugged, but Y/N could see a flicker of some deep emotion pass over his mobile features.
“Someone’s gotta pull those two down there. And I’d say after millions of years, and untold damage to the world, me and my brothers could use some time alone and family therapy.”
He allowed a smile to turn up the corner of his mouth.”From what I understand old Raffy’s taken up as a god on some distant planet. He always did like to be worshiped.” He shrugged again, his smirk firmly back in place. “So, it’s just the three of us.”
Cas shook his head. “Why are you doing all of this, Gabriel?”
The archangel took back the key to the cage and slipped it into his pocket. “Told ya, got sick of banging green chicks on Mars.”
“No. That's…there are no green women on Mars.” Cas said, looking at Y/N as though to reassure her.
Y/N stood up and walked the few steps to where Gabriel stood, looking him straight in the eye. “Can you bring Dean back?”
Gabriel contemplated her for a moment and then shook his head. “No.”
Y/N felt her stomach lurch, and she opened her mouth to shout at him, but Gabriel held up a hand, patting his pocket with the other. “With this I can open the cage, and I can pull my brothers down with me to be locked away. But if you want Dean back, you’ve gotta get him to toss Michael first. Otherwise, his body and soul come down too.”
Y/N began to panic. “What are you talking about? You are not dragging Dean down to hell, no matter what!” She shouted, her fists balled. “I will not let you.”
Gabriel’s smile looked genuine for the first time as he looked at Y/N fuming in front of him before turning to Cas. “She’s feisty! Dean knows how to pick ‘em!”
He looked back at Y/N and held both his hands up in surrender. “Look, I can’t extract Michael from Dean’s body, it doesn’t work that way; Dean has to be the one to throw him out. And there’s nothing I could say to give him that kind of strength.” He tilted his head slightly. “But you might be able to. You’re our best shot.”
He looked to Cas. “If she can get Dean to toss Michael, I’ll grab on to him. I’ll be able to hold him for a little while. Hopefully long enough to get to Lucifer and try to get Sam Winchester to eject him.”
He shook his head. “That one’s gonna be a lot harder, and I’m not gonna lie, I don’t hold out very much hope. I also don’t know what kind of shape Sam’s gonna be in even if he can get him out. He’s held Lucifer for five years now, he might be too far gone.”
Cas nodded. “If we can get Dean, he can get Sam. Or, he’ll be the best chance anyway. And if Sam manages to eject Lucifer, Dean won’t care what condition he’s in, he’ll fix him.”
Gabriel gave a nod. “We’ll see, I suppose. But we gotta start with Dean so…” He looked at Y/N. “What do you say, beautiful?”
Y/N contemplated him for a moment before looking at Cas. “Do you trust him?”
Cas was quiet for a long time, looking Gabriel over, the debate clear in his expression.
The archangel rolled his eyes. “Thanks, bro.”
Finally Cas nodded. “Yes, I believe we can trust him.”
Y/N took a deep breath, hope and fear spreading throughout her body in equal measure. “Okay, then let’s go save the Winchesters.”
***
Their traveling party was prepared and ready to go in very little time, most of which was spent explaining to Emma why she couldn’t come.
Y/N knew how terrified her little girl must be, thinking she was losing her mother now too. Eventually though, her tears subsided and her little face became resolved to what was happening. It broke Y/N’s heart to see that resolve, to know that her daughter’s soft heart was getting tougher.
Y/N swore to herself that she was going to bring Dean home, and they would live happily ever after, spoiling Emma and letting her go soft once again.
Before they left, Y/N gave Monique a hug and thanked her again. She’d pulled her friend aside earlier and spoken quietly with her, asking her to take care of Emma if anything should happen to her. Tears had welled up in Monique’s beautiful amber eyes but she’d clasped Y/N’s hands tightly.
“I will always look after Emma as my very own.” She shook her head and dashed away her tears. “But you’ll be back in no time, I’m sure. So, I’ll see you soon.”
The soldiers, Brandy and Monique had all checked privately with Y/N about whether or not she was really okay to set off with two angels. Y/N reassured them that she trusted Cas completely and he trusted Gabriel. So she did too. Besides, she’d reasoned, if this was their only possibility to save Dean, she had to take it.
Gabriel said he knew just where Michael was staying, so she held Cas’ hand as the archangel tapped his brother’s shoulder and in a blink they were suddenly standing just outside a rundown Victorian house.
The springtime sun was just beginning to lighten the sky in the East as they popped into existence on the sidewalk outside the house.
She hadn’t even had time to wave goodbye.
The three of them walked slowly up the front stairs and through the door. As they entered the house they heard a voice call from the back.
“The polite thing to do would have been to call first, you know.”
Y/N felt her heart leap. She recognized Dean’s voice, but it sounded different. The consonants were more clipped, the words more even in tone, almost bland, bored. His voice had none of Dean’s rough, expressive way of speaking.
The dissonance continued as they walked into the sitting room and found Dean. He held himself ramrod straight, and when he turned towards them, his face held none of Dean’s stony anger, or joyful exuberance. It too was bland, cold, his normally shining, emerald eyes looked almost empty.
Looking at this version of Dean was very difficult. Somehow being in front of this non-Dean made Y/N miss him even more.
But he never spared her a glance. All his attention was on his brothers. “Castiel, it’s been a long time. And Gabriel,” he looked him up and down, “it’s been even longer. Millions of years, in fact. I almost didn’t recognize you in this vessel.”
“Yeah, got this one custom made by a good friend of mine.” He ran a hand across his chest. “I’ve grown quite fond of my earthly form, so I’m happy I don’t have to share it with a human, and I don’t ever have to turn into a bright white mist, cause there's no human inside to reject me. This beautiful face is mine all mine.”
He smiled wide, but Michael just frowned. “That’s sacrilege, brother. Our angelic form is greater than any human disguise.”
Gabriel shrugged. “But they sure come in handy don’t they. If you wanna get anything done on earth, they really are a necessity.” He raised a hand towards him. “Hence all your trouble to get this one.”
Gabriel's tone became grandiose and overwrought. “For here is your sword, your one true vessel. Destined for eons to be the one human whose bones you were the most eager to jump.”
Michael stared at him soundlessly for a moment and then spoke in the same even, emotionless tone. “Why are you here, Gabriel? And why have you brought this human?” He pointed at Y/N, but still didn’t look at her.
Gabriel paused a beat before answering. “Well, we have a bone to pick with you.”
That was the signal to spur Cas into action. A white light shot out from Gabriel’s hands, connecting him to Michael. As the two archangels fought, Michael trying desperately to break the hold Gabriel had on him, Cas ran in front of him, drawing a straight line from wall to wall in holy oil and then dropping a lit match, trapping Michael behind the line of flame.
Gabriel let his brother go, grunting with effort as the connection broke. Michael’s borrowed face was no longer emotionless, it was furious and bubbling with hate.
“How dare you!” He shouted at Gabriel. “How dare you try to interfere with my destiny. This fight has been postponed for five long years while Lucifer ran amok. It is my duty to fight him and end him!”
Gabriel was scowling at his big brother a moment before a wide grin spread across his face. “You said doody.”
Everyone paused to look at him askance, and he shrugged. “What? That’s funny! Nobody has a sense of humor these days.”
He shook his finger at Michael. “You know who would have laughed at that, the man you’re possessing. He would have thought it was hilarious. Or at least, he would have before the apocalypse struck. Been a bit down in the mouth since Lucifer possessed his brother and ended the world.”
Michael was still livid and he spoke through gritted teeth. “We tried to tell Dean that I needed my sword, that I needed my vessel to fight Lucifer, but he wouldn’t listen. He brought this on humanity.”
“Bullshit!” Gabriel called out and all traces of his humor were gone. “You could have used another vessel, you could have made due as Lucifer did before Sam. But no, you wanted THIS vessel.” He pointed at Dean. “And you were pissed you couldn’t have him, so you threw a hissy fit and left the world to burn.”
Silence reigned for a moment before Gabriel spoke again, quiet now. “And I left with you. I cashed in my chips and walked away from the table. But I kept an eye on humanity while I was galivanting around the universe. Kind of an old habit, and what I saw shocked me. The world was over, civilization destroyed, and yet - on they all trudged. These people. These humans. They kept on fighting. These flawed broken toys we all mocked and looked down on, they fought, they loved, they helped each other, they won and lost, but no matter what, they just kept going.”
Michael was motionless as Gabriel continued, pointing towards Y/N. “And just as there was a possibility of hope, just as they found a way they might be able to win, might be able to restart the world, here you come again, army in tow, ready to level the planet all over. And for what? So you can fight some ancient grudge match with our brother?” He shook his head. “What is the bloody point?”
Dean’s jaw ticked with Michael’s annoyance. “It’s my destiny. It’s what I was created to do.”
Gabriel looked sad as he glanced over at Y/N. “Well, not if she can help it.”
Y/N knew this was her time, it was on her now to help Dean find strength enough to eject the possessing angel. Michael’s cold eyes looked at her through Dean’s sparkling jade and she closed her own for a moment, imagining the warmth in Dean’s expression before she opened her eyes and smiled at him.
“Dean, can you hear me? I need you to listen, I need you to trust me. Throw him out. I’ll be safe, Emma and I will both be safe now. But I need you to come back home.”
“Dean isn’t available at the moment.” Michael said darkly. But she could see him squinting, almost as though he was in pain and Y/N chose to believe that Dean was fighting him from the inside.
She kept talking as though Michael hadn't spoken.
“I have so many plans for us. Once we’ve made the cure possible, and the world is able to begin again, I really want us to go back home, back to Chitaqua. I wanna build a cabin there. Nothing fancy, you know, just something a bit bigger than the tent, but still cozy - with a bedroom door that locks.” She finished with a wide grin.
She stepped a little closer to him, careful to avoid the flame. “And, of course, I think we’re gonna have to get Emma that dog she asked for. And we can celebrate birthdays and holidays with all of our friends and family. We’ll keep them all close, and safe.”
Michael was stepping back from her, looking away and shaking his head as though he was dizzy.
“Dean, I love you so much. All I want is to spend my life with you. Please kick him out. I know how strong you are, I know you can do it.”
“I’ll kill her!” Michael screamed out suddenly, as though his inner thoughts weren’t loud enough for Dean to hear. “You understand me? If you want her to live, want to keep her safe, stop fighting me. Now!”
Michael was breathing hard, but a joyless smile was spreading across Dean's beautiful face; the archangel was obviously pleased.
“That's better.” He whispered, still slightly out of breath.
They were losing Dean, she could see it. Michael was terrorizing him again with threats against her. So, acting purely on instinct, Y/N made one last attempt, one huge Hail Mary.
She took a deep breath and leapt over the fire, throwing her arms around Dean’s neck. She pulled his mouth down to hers and kissed him with every ounce of love and passion she could muster.
She put everything into the kiss, every moment she’d loved him, and every promise she was making him were all there, tied up with all the hope in her heart.
She felt a tingling against her lips that started to burn as she pulled away. She jumped back and fell to the ground as Dean let out a roar, and his mouth opened wide. The blinding white light that had consumed him was being forced back out of him, in an incredible light show that ended abruptly as Gabriel reached out and pulled the light into himself.
The darkness was complete for a moment before Y/N’s eyes could adjust. As the world came into focus, she could see Gabriel on the other side of the flame, breathing hard and fast. Cas walked to his side and poured some of his own white light into Gabriel, which seemed to stabilize him slightly.
But his voice was still wobbly when he spoke. “We gotta go. I don’t know how long I can hold him in here with me.”
Y/N nodded and crawled over to where Dean had fallen to the floor. She turned his face towards her just as his eyes fluttered open.
“Y/N?” He whispered and she nodded at him with tears flowing.
“Yeah, I’m here, I’m safe. We’re all safe.”
Dean shook his head. “But how…” He sat up slowly and looked towards where Cas and Gabriel stood. He squinted and shook his head in confusion. “The Trickster’s an angel?”
Cas’ eyes widened as he looked at Gabriel. “You were the Trickster the boys went up against? Twice?”
Dean’s voice was slightly annoyed. “Yeah, he killed me like a million times.”
Y/N felt her stomach lurch, but Gabriel just waved it away as nothing. “I was trying to teach you boys something; wasn’t my finest moment maybe, but you gotta admit, the tacos were funny.”
“Not to me, asshole.” Dean grumbled. Y/N was very confused and about to ask for clarification when Gabriel bent double.
“Ugh!” He groaned. “Okay, could you postpone my spanking for that very hilarious prank until after I’ve saved you all?”
Y/N nodded and helped Dean to his feet. Gabriel looked at him. “Okay, pal, this one’s on you. We’re gonna go get Lucifer so I can toss all of us into the cage. We can try to get Sam to chuck him first. We’ll need you for that. But if you can’t get him, and it seems like Lucifer might get away, I’ll grab Sam as is and jump into the cage.”
Dean stormed up to him. “You are not taking my brother to hell, you understand me?”
Gabriel just shrugged. “Then I guess you better reach him before it’s too late.”
He groaned again as he fought his brother internally, closing his eyes and putting a hand to his head. Without saying any more, they all got into position so Gabriel could zap them to Lucifer’s location.
Just before he could manage it however, there was a bellow of rage from behind them, making them all turn. From the doorway, Zachariah charged forward, angel blade bared and aimed for Dean’s jugular.
Dean shoved Y/N out of the way as the angel charged them like a bull. But when he was just a couple feet from Dean, Cas stuck his foot out, sending the furious angel spilling to the ground in a comical looking pratfall.
He fell onto the still burning holy fire and screamed in pain, rolling around, trying to escape the flames. Before he could pull himself free, however, Dean grabbed onto the silver blade the angel had dropped. He raised it high, and then plunged it deep into his throat, forever freezing the angel's sadistic face in agony.
More blinding white lights burst out of the dying angel, forcing Y/N to once again cover her head and shield her eyes. When she reopened them, she could see the angel’s blackened wings, as his empty vessel was slowly consumed in the flame.
Dean stood up and then helped Y/N to her feet. After giving her a once over to determine she was alright, he turned to Cas.
“Nice job, buddy. Very Keystone Cops.”
Cas frowned. “I don’t know an officer by that name.”
Dean just smiled and then slipped the blade into his pocket as he looked down at the dead angel.
“Good riddance.” He said under his breath before a panting Gabriel yanked him back into position and zapped them all away.
Suddenly, in another heartbeat, they were all standing in a bombed out street; the buildings around them were crumbling and burnt. It was all that was left after some of the original fighting between the army and the Croats five years before. The bombings hadn’t worked.
As they stood looking around, a man caught their eye. He was strolling out of one of the buildings less than twenty feet away; he was very tall and had long brown hair and an easy stride.
Y/N could hear Dean gasp slightly beside her and she took his hand. The man, who could only be Lucifer, slowed down as he approached them. His smile was soft and patronizing.
“Well, well. This is a surprise. What a merry little band of rebels you’ve all turned into.”
He nodded at Gabriel. “Our brothers and sisters all thought you must have been killed somewhere, but I knew better.” He studied him for a minute before smirking. “And I see he got hold of you, Mikey!” He said loudly. He chuckled. “He always was a cuck.”
He frowned slightly as he spared barely a glance for the rest of them. “But Gabe, buddy if you’re here to try and put me back in that cage?” He raised his hand and closed it into a fist and Gabriel began coughing as though he was choking. “Well, that simply isn’t going to happen.”
Cas ran forward to help, but Lucifer tossed him aside with a sweep of his hand. Dean pushed Y/N to crouch behind an upside down car. “Stay here.” He warned, before turning back towards his brother.
“Sammy?” He called tentatively. Lucifer looked over at him and dropped Gabriel to the ground as he let him go. He faced Dean and shook his head.
“You.” The devil said, his voice menacing. “You have no idea how sick I am of you. Do you know how many times I’ve had to listen to Sammy bellyaching about how he was letting you down? Do you know how ANNOYING it is to execute a perfect reign of terror just to have this boy,” he banged his chest, “weeping in my head instead of truly reveling in it with me?”
He shook his head. “It’s only been quiet in here since I threatened to find you and end you. See that’s how I got Sammy’s cooperation in the first place. I promised that if he said yes I wouldn’t snap your neck like kindling.”
He waved towards Dean dismissively. “You were sound asleep at the time, you wouldn’t remember this. But Sam finally said yes, as I always knew he would, and in return I promised that you could keep on living. So when Sam wouldn’t shut up and stop whining, a simple threat to revoke our original deal was enough to silence him.”
He smiled, and Y/N thought it was pure sin for such a sweet, dimpled smile to sit on the face of evil. Lucifer tilted his head slightly as though he was listening to something.
“But now…hey Sammy.” He said in a silky tone. “Been quiet so long, I'd actually started to miss you.”
Dean took a step closer. “Sammy, can you hear me? I’m here. I’m here and I’m so sorry, more than I can ever say. I never should’ve walked away from you. We should have fought these assholes together. I should have known that we’re stronger together than apart.”
He swallowed. “But you’ve gotta chuck him. We’ve got a plan, little brother, we can win. Believe me.”
Lucifer rolled Sam’s bright, hazel eyes just before he slammed his fist into Dean’s face, almost knocking him to the ground.
Gabriel shot light at his brother, but it was much weaker than what he’d thrown at Michael; so much of his strength was being used to keep Michael locked inside himself. Cas added his strength, but Lucifer quickly pushed them both away, severing their hold on him.
Blood gushed from Dean’s lip, his jaw already swollen and purple, as he started forward again.
“Sammy, I need you to force him out. I know how strong you are. I know you can do it. I never should have doubted it, never should have believed they could defeat us. We are Winchesters and we never-”
He broke off as Lucifer landed two more swift blows to his face, causing a sickening crack as Dean’s nose shattered and he crashed to the ground.
Y/N gasped and jumped up, running forward even though there was nothing she could possibly do. Gabriel and Cas fought him again, forcing Lucifer to stumble back slightly. But he found his footing quickly and severed the hold as he had before, this time sending both angels sailing through the air.
Lucifer stared at Dean, hatred spreading across Sam's handsome features. "I am done with you." He shouted. "You are not worth my time."
Looking as though it was a struggle, as though the body he was possessing was fighting back, Lucifer raised his arm, his fingers poised to snap. Y/N screamed, memories bursting in her mind of the swiftness with which Zachariah had ended Johnston’s life with a mere snap.
But before he could manage it, Lucifer once again stumbled backwards. This time, however, Cas and Gabriel had barely risen from the ground and were just walking back towards them.
Lucifer dropped his arm and fell suddenly to his knees. “No.” He whispered, shock suffusing the word, and then he screamed. “No!” The ground shook and rumbled, knocking all of them down.
Suddenly a burst of white light erupted from Sam’s mouth, and as he had before, Gabriel reached forward with his own light to trap his brother.
The light suffused the archangel-turned-Trickster; it was no longer being wholly contained within himself, but spilling out of him as he tried to hold on to all of their angelic forms within his one custom-made vessel.
Jerkily he reached into his pocket and threw the key at Cas. “Now, brother!”
Cas tossed it to the ground and began chanting. As the chant ended, a wide hole began to crack open in the street.
Gabriel pitched forward towards the hole, but his body seemed to be disobeying his commands - his brothers were fighting against him with all their strength. The light emanating from Gabriel seemed to be splitting, as though the other two archangels were separating from him.
With one last surge of strength, Gabriel leapt forward and dove headfirst into the hole in front of him. There were deafening sounds of furious screaming that were quickly swallowed up as the ground closed around them.
There was only silence for a long time, as they all struggled to get their bearings, to reconcile what had just happened.
Y/N was the first to move, running to Dean just as he stood up, and then collapsing in his arms. Dean held her tightly, kissing the top of her head and then cupping her cheeks to kiss her mouth, hard and fast. He pulled away and smiled.
Cas stepped forward to tap his fingers to Dean's forehead, instantly clearing the blood and bruises.
Dean nodded and smiled at him gratefully. “Thanks, Cas.”
He looked back at Y/N and his beautiful eyes and mobile, expressive face were once again his own and Y/N rejoiced.
Dean turned them both to face Sam where he still knelt on the ground. With a quick squeeze, Dean stepped away from her to reach out a hand to his little brother.
Sam hesitated only a moment before he took it and let Dean pull him to his feet. The two men stared at each other for a minute before Dean yanked Sam towards him to wrap the taller man up in a bear hug, his arms wrapping over Sam’s shoulders and clinging tightly.
Sam’s face crumpled slightly and he crushed his brother’s ribs as he hugged him back. “I’m so sorry, Dean. I didn’t know what else to do, I didn’t…” He trailed off, but Dean was shaking his head.
“No, Sam, no.” He pulled back to clap his hand against the side of Sam’s neck. “This isn’t on you.” Sam gave him a look and Dean shook his head. “Well, it’s certainly not all on you. We both fucked up, but we have a chance to fix things now.”
He turned back to Y/N and held his arm out towards her. She stepped forward to take his hand. Dean was beaming as he made the introductions.
“Sam, Y/N, Y/N, Sam.” Sam raised an eyebrow and Dean grinned. “Meet my wife.”
Sam’s eyes widened and Y/N gasped. “What?” She squeaked.
Dean shrugged. “Well okay, maybe there’s still the formalities to go through, like the wedding ceremony.”
“And a proposal!” Y/N said, laughing from sheer joy, utter exhaustion and the madness of their new reality.
Dean grinned at her. “You saying you don’t wanna?”
Y/N beamed up at him. “Definitely not saying that.”
Cas interrupted. “Before you start planning the wedding, can we go home?”
Sam looked dazed and spoke softly as though trying to decide if it was all just a dream. “Where is home?”
Dean clapped him on the back. “Camp Chitaqua. You’re gonna love it, Sammy! Trust me. It’s paradise.”
“With outhouses.” Y/N said with a snort.
Sam’s smile was soft, and it suited his kind, handsome face much more than it had ever fit the devil.
“Sounds perfect. Let’s go home.”
Cas stepped forward and in a blink they were back in the field where the spring vegetables were just sprouting - where they could hear the voices of their friends and neighbors, and smell the thick scent of pine and new earth.
There was a cry of shock as the campers saw them all suddenly standing there. Shouts conveyed the message quickly throughout the camp and everyone came running to see their return.
Y/N let out a cry of happiness as she saw Emma racing towards her, her little legs eating up the distance surprisingly fast. As she reached them, Dean scooped her up and pulled Y/N into the circle of his embrace so that the three of them hugged each other tightly.
The rest of the day was spent celebrating and rejoicing, hours of storytelling, and off-key singing around campfires, food shared and enjoyed by everyone.
Eventually, Dean, Y/N and Emma broke away to bring Sam to Dean’s old tent. They lit a lamp and Dean gave Sam the grand tour, pointing the way to the outhouses from there, and assuring him the cot was more comfortable than it looked.
Sam nodded, still looking as though he couldn’t take it all in. Seeing his confusion, Y/N kissed Dean on the cheek and picked up Emma’s hand.
“You boys have so much to catch up on. You should take some time together.”
Sam shook his head. “No, you’ve been away from each other long enough. This reunion should be yours.” He said, nodding at Y/N and Dean. Throughout the day he’d been caught up on how everything went down with Michael and Zachariah.
But Y/N shook her head. “We’ve been apart a week, you’ve been apart for years. You need this time.”
Dean looked down at her, love shining in his gaze, before tossing his brother a smile. “Don’t bother arguing, Sammy, she always wins.”
He bent down and kissed Y/N deeply, making Emma curl her lip.
“Ew.” She said succinctly, and Y/N laughed as she pulled out of the kiss.
She looked at Sam and then moved in for a hug. Sam hugged her back and she beamed up at him.
“I'm so glad to know you, Sam Winchester. Welcome home.”
With that she pulled Emma out of the tent to let the brothers get to know each other again.
Hours and hours later, the camp was finally quiet. A lamp glowed here and there as people slowly settled into their tents for the night. A happy peace settled over the camp, blanketing it in coziness and calm.
Y/N had sung Emma to sleep an hour before and was now stretched out on her own cot. She was planning on waiting for Dean to come back from visiting with his brother. But almost as soon as her head hit the pillow, her absolute exhaustion hit her and she was out immediately.
She woke with a start some time later, and then sighed deeply as she felt Dean’s arms tighten around her. Across the room she could hear Emma’s soft snores and her eyes filled with tears as the reality hit her anew that they were all truly together again, safe and sound. She turned in Dean’s arms so she could face him.
“Dean.” She whispered.
He smiled a sleepy smile and kissed her softly. “You were sleeping so soundly when I got home, I didn’t want to disturb you.” He whispered back, voice craggy with sleep.
“How is Sam?” She asked.
Dean sighed. “He’s okay. Gonna take time for him to be a hundred percent, you know. But he’s here, and he’s smiling, and he’s...Sammy.” He shrugged slightly. “So, that’s enough for now.”
Y/N nodded and wiped away a tear, finally making Dean notice them in the dark. His voice sounded slightly worried as he cupped her cheek and thumbed away the wetness. “Sweetheart, you're crying. Why?”
Y/N shook her head. “Because all my hopes and dreams have come true. We’re together, we’re safe, the camp is safe, the devil’s gone, and we actually have a real chance of remaking the world.”
Dean’s voice voice was a bit choked up too as he responded, grinning. “Yeah, but I don't plan on forgetting that promise you made me. When the world is fixed, we’re coming back here to live out our days in a big log cabin with locking doors and indoor plumbing, right?”
Y/N giggled. “I’m not sure about the indoor plumbing, but everything else is definitely in the cards, I hope.”
Dean pulled her close and tucked her head beneath his chin. “Well, we’re in the business of hope, so I think our chances are good.”

Keep running, Maeve. Keep running and don’t stop. The woman’s chest starts to close the more she runs without a break, her heart is hammering so fast that she thinks it’s gonna burst out of her chest, and her legs feel like jelly but she has one thought in her mind that keeps her running.
Don’t stop or he’s gonna catch you.
Trees whiz by her, her feet step on every branch in her way, and nothing can be heard for miles but her ragged breathing and heaving panting. She is three months pregnant, she shouldn’t be running like this. She should be at home in bed eating her favorite foods. She should be shopping for baby items to decorate the nursery with. She should be doing this with anyone but him.
She looks back to see if he’s chasing her and almost falls on her face. She can’t put her baby at risk, not after she’s come so far. She doesn’t know where she’s going, who she’s gonna encounter, or what she’s gonna do, but she knows she needs to get away from him.
Just a few more minutes.
Something is bound to come up in these woods. This entire place has been overtaken by angels who love to hide things in plain sight, and they love manipulating the Earth to fit their needs. Something magical is likely to show up, she just doesn’t know what.
After what seems like hours, she comes to a clearing where there is a strip of gold hovering in mid-air. She doesn’t know what this is or what it’ll do to her, but anything is better than being his captive. Even if it kills her and the baby, they’ll both be free from his pain.
She closes her eyes and runs right into the gold stripe. Gone are the trees and dead land only to be replaced by bright lights, bookshelves, and wooden tables. She gasps and stumbles into what looks like a library and right into the arms of a tall and muscular man.
“Whoa, what is going on?” the man gasps and catches her.
“Close it,” she gasps and points to the gold stripe. “Close it before he comes!”
“Whoa, calm down. What is going on?”
“Whatever that is, close it before he comes and kills us all,” she cries.
“Cas, close it,” another tall man orders a man in a trench coat.
“Jack! Close the portal!”
A younger blonde man walks into view and closes the “portal” with his mind. Maeve doesn’t care who these guys are or what they’re capable of. Anyone is better than Michael.
“You’re safe. Take a deep breath,” the man who caught you says.
Maeve collapses to the ground and just cries. In relief? In fear? Because she can finally stop running? She has been going through nothing but stress these last three months because of Michael; She’s not worried about herself, she’s worried about her baby.
“Please…” She pants. “My baby…” She coughs. “Is my baby alright?”
“You’re pregnant?” the tall man asks. She nods and places a hand on her growing stomach. “Cas, do you mind checking?”
The man in the trench coat, Cas, walks over to her and kneels so that he’s on her level. He reaches his hand out to her just as his eyes glow a familiar blue.
“You’re an angel?” she gasps.
“Yes.”
“Don’t touch me!” Cas jumps back and raises his hands in confusion. “You’re just as bad as he is. I hate angels.”
“Okay, why don’t you take a minute to yourself? My name is Sam and this is my brother Dean. Yes, Cas is an angel, but I can promise you we’re a lot better than whoever you’re running from. Cas is one of the good angels.”
This place is different than Maeve has ever seen before. The portal has closed so she can’t get back to her world right now, so she has no choice but to trust these men. This is for the good of her child.
“Okay, fine,” she whispers.
Cas kneels next to her and he places his hand over her stomach. He uses his angelic powers to check how your child is doing, and he pulls his hand away with a smile.
“She is doing well.”
“She?” Maeve gasps.
“I’m sorry, were you not wanting to know that?”
“No, I just didn’t know she is a she.”
“Why don’t you get cleaned up? I’ll show you where the bathroom is.”
Sam helps her to her feet and escorts her to the big bathroom. He allows her to take as much time as she news while the four men talk inside the library.
“Where the hell did she come from?” Dean asks.
“I don’t know. That portal led to the Apocalypse World. Who do you think she was talking about?”
“It could be anyone,” Cas sighs. Maeve takes thirty minutes to herself before joining the four men inside the library. “Are you okay?”
“I’m better than when I arrived.”
“Can you explain who you are and what’s going on?” Sam asks.
“My name is Maeve and I come from a small town in what used to be Florida. After the big war, everything became ruined. People were forced to travel in groups because the angels screwed up Earth too much to be alone. One of the men who was in my group got close to me… I thought he was normal,” she whispers painfully.
“What happened?”
“He got me pregnant. That’s when I found out his name: Michael. He was the archangel who destroyed Earth. He’s the reason I ran. I ran and didn’t stop because I knew he would have killed me after my baby was born. He caught me a couple of months ago but I escaped and have been running ever since. He’s dangerous, he hates humanity, and he wants to destroy them all. He wants a Nephilim to help him with his plans but I refuse to give him what he wants. I can’t let my baby girl be part of whatever plans he has.”
“Yeah, we know more about Michael than we should. Our Michael is locked inside the cage with Lucifer, so you won’t have to worry about him. We can protect you,” Sam says.
“Without a portal, he can’t come here. You’re safe here.”
“Good. I’m very grateful for your help. I’d like to have the baby here where it’s safe if that’s okay. I need the first thing she sees to be her mother.”
“Of course. Jack, would you mind talking to her?” Sam asks.
“Talk to me about what?”
“I’m a Nephilim,” he says. “My mother got pregnant by Lucifer. Your baby is going to grow very quickly. The only thing is that the human body can’t handle the birth of a Nephilim. You won’t survive the birth.”
“What?”
“My mother died giving birth to me. I’m sorry this happened to you, but something that helped me was the videos she took of herself so I could watch them over and over again.” Tears brim Maeve’s eyes at the thought of never seeing her daughter. “I’ll help you communicate with her. She’s listening to everything.”
“As long as she’s protected, I don’t care what happens to me. I’ve suffered from Michael for far too long. I won’t do it anymore.”
The following month went by faster than Maeve thought it would go. She should be four months pregnant but she feels and looks like she is six. Her baby girl is growing too quickly for her to catch up. Sam and Dean have been nothing but kind to her, Castiel has been taking care of her, and Jack has been interacting with her child.
Another month of taking videos, talking to her baby, and forming relationships goes by as quickly as the first. Maeve has gotten too big to move about on her own, so she’s bedridden for the last couple of weeks of her pregnancy. She rubs her hand over her big bump and leans her head back on the pillow.
“Listen to me, Y/N,” she talks to her child. “I just want you to know how much I love you. When you’re born, you’re not going to meet me. You’ll have Sam, Dean, Castiel, and Jack to take care of you. You remember Jack, right? He’s like you. Just remember that humans are better than the angels. Michael is bad and dangerous and doesn't care about you.”
Maeve has been dreading this day, but it’s time to give birth. She’s proud of the woman and mother she’s become over the course of the pregnancy, but all good things must come to an end. Sam and Dean are on either side of her holding her hands, Cas is at the end of the bed, and Jack is watching from the bedroom door.
“Promise me Y/N will be taken care of,” Maeve cries. “Promise me she’s gonna be okay.”
“We promise,” Sam says.
She gets a sharp pain in her side that tells her it’s time to start pushing. Birthing a Nephilim is nothing like birthing a human child. For one, the baby doesn’t help by wiggling their way out, and a bright white light doesn’t shine when they come out. Maeve tips her head back and screams as loud as she could.
The bright white light shoots out of her and to the corner of the room where you stand to your full height. Much like Jack, you grew up to be a teenager instead of an infant. You need to be at this age for what your father has planned. Your mother lays limp on the bed with blood running down her legs. You look at everyone in the room who has become on high alert.
“Y/N, is it?” Sam asks.
“Where is my father? Where’s Michael?”
“Jack, you want to take the lead on this one?” Dean asks.
“Y/N, I know what you’re feeling right now. I get it. You’re scared. We can help you.”
“I want Michael!”
Power explodes out of you which blasts all four men back into the wall behind them so hard they crack the walls. The power that comes from the birth of a Nephilim is enough to open a rift into another universe. Your power comes from the Apocalypse World so that’s where the rift opens to.
You run out of the bedroom to where the power is coming from, and you jump through the portal without a second thought. Gone are the bright lights, bookshelves, and wooden tables only to be replaced by trees and dead land. You look around the place and use your power to close the rift so they can’t get to you.
Jack is a Nephilim like you so he’ll be able to create a portal to here but closing it buys you some time.
“Y/N?”
You turn to see a black man with his arms stretched out.
“Dad!”
You run into his arms and bury your head in his chest.
“Welcome home, my angel.”
“I’m eager to get started.” For the past six months, you’ve heard nothing but what everyone else was saying. Humans are good. Sam and Dean are good people. Castiel is a good angel. Michael is a bad angel. Sam and Dean can protect you. Nothing they said is true because the only good person in this world is Michael, and he’s going to do whatever it takes to keep you safe. “Humans need to be destroyed.”
“That’s my girl,” he grins.

Choose the next fic
Hi there! How are you guys doing?
I hope you're doing well. I'm feeling much better. I'm just left with my sense of smell not working properly, but aside from that, I can't complain. As I said, next week I'm gonna post a new story. I'm still working on some of your requests. I haven't forgotten them, so don't worry. I'm just a bit slower than usual. In the meantime, though, I wanted to give you a sneak peek at what's coming next and, at the same time, let you choose the next story. So, you'll gonna find five summaries, and then you can choose what you want to read first. You'll be able to read all of them, don't worry about it. I thought it would be a nice change and a cute thing to try. Choose wisely. ❤
High Expectations: Their meeting was just a lucky coincidence. Everything that happened after that was just their doing.
Just Thought You Should Know: It was just one of those drunk calls until it wasn't anymore.
A First Date Experience: He had never dated before, and she wanted him to experience it at least once. So, she did the only reasonable thing to do: she asked him out the old-fashioned way.
Not Letting Go: This time, Dean isn't alone in Purgatory - he has her.
Shallow: Sometimes, life gives you a second chance.

Chapter 28
Previous Chapter
Next Chapter
You reached the roadhouse, slipped quietly in and packed your bag, and left no word to anyone. You thought that by moving here, you would have a better life. But this was something you couldn't get your head around. You uncovered your bike, jumped on it, and disappeared from everyone.
You sat on the chair screaming, though your voice was not heard, your body sat silently, calmly, and sickeningly admiringly watching the man pacing in front of you.
“Let's be nice to our guest darling,” The man smiled at you, caressing your cheek.
“Castiel, brother“ he welcomed the man, who was standing in a circle of fire.
Castiel looked at you "Y/N, I am here with the Winchesters” but no emotion came from you.
“You won't get much out of her” Lucifer smiled “I've had a few months to work my charm on her, ” he grinned at Castiel, walking behind you and placing his chin on your head, rubbing his hands up and down your arms. Making you sneer in disgust inside your head.
“You can't have her or Sam Winchester” Casitel stated, “ I am not going to let you have any of them.”
Lucifer turned you to face him and held you in his arms, as he leaned in to kiss you he heard a voice yell “Hey!”
You both turned and saw Sam “You wanted to see me?“ he commanded.
“He came,” you gleefully looked to Lucifer.
“Sam, no need for weapons here, we won't hurt you, we love you” Lucifer tried to diffuse him and pushed you towards him. As you stretched out your arms to embrace the man, a voice came from behind you.
“Yea, but maybe I kill her” Dean grabbed you pointing a gun to your head, then at Lucifer and pulled the trigger, causing Lucifer to drop to the ground.
"You won't kill me, you love her too much “ you laughed turning to face Dean, your eyes turning black. "And guess what, you didn't kill him either,” You smiled wide.
Dean tried to comprehend your words for a second then he heard Lucifer cough “Okay owww, where did you get that?” he asked, rising to his feet.
“Don't feel too bad Sammy, the colt can't kill me. I'm one of the only five things it can't kill” Lucifer said turning to face him “ But I knew you weren't going to make it easy for me and just say yes “ he stood looking at Sam “ I mean, even after I got you the perfect wife" he looked over at you winking.
"You see I may need your permission to be my vessel, but I certainly don’t need hers to sire my children, shame though the girl is spitfire really put up a hell of a fight that I had to call in reinforcements. Though when the time comes, I would have loved to see what that was like in bed. Without the demon." Looking at Dean and grinning, taunting him.
“It's never gonna happen, me or her” Sam shouted at him.
“Really Sam, I think it's gonna happen and I think it’s going to happen soon, you will say yes to me, but to show you I am a nice guy I'll give her back, but make no mistake you are both mine and I will come for you, both of you.” you felt the sensation of your body falling to the floor and then darkness.
You awoke in Bobby's house “Thank fuck, I knew you would find me.“ you sighed in relief.
But as you looked around the room the mood was unsettling. No one would meet your eye.
“Dean, I promise that wasn't me I didn't say yes” You got up and held his hands trying to convince him, pleading with him.
But what he did next surprised you “I know sweetheart I know, I'm so sorry” You felt his tears on your head and then his lips softly brushing your temple.
You looked between them, panic building up inside of you “ What's going on, what happened?”
But no one answered.
“Someone to talk to me" your voice raised, breaking away from Dean "Please." you pleaded.
“Y/N,” Dean said lowly “It's Jo and Ellen,”
“No “ you pointed at him angrily “ Don't you dare say what I think you're going to say.”
“Y/N,” Bobby said softly.
You span round to face him, Shaking your head from side to side, tears streaming down your face.
“No Bobby, I don't believe you, It's not true” you cried. "it can't be true. They are the only family I have"
You looked frantically between the four men, hoping they would take it back, begging it was some kind of mistake.
But their heads were bowed not looking at you. Even the angel wouldn’t look at you. You heard Sam sniff and saw tears fall from his face.
Then you felt Dean's arms grab you, "No" you slapped him away "your lying, I don't believe you."
He tried again to hold you but you pushed him back and ran out the front door, vomited, and screamed until your throat was sore.
You felt Dean wrap his arms around you “I'm so sorry baby girl, I'm so sorry,”
But you had no words, just tears.
“I want to be alone Dean” you whispered.
Dean reluctantly walked away. When you were alone, you took the photo from your wallet and stared at it, the only family you had. You took your lighter and burned it. You stomped on it with your boot with anger and you left.

I should feel better but now I have another extremely sad headcanon
I swear I have no problem with killing Sister Winchester I've just read a lot of fics haha
Imagine if that happened, okay?
and then they were older and everything happens normal, she grows up and meets Kevin and then they start dating
On one occasion Sam overheard them talking about their desire to go to college (she wanted to be a lawyer like Sammy).
Anyway, Kevin dies and then a few years later the Winchester sister dies (maybe the same one you wrote in Cas's arms)
Obviously it is a hard blow for everyone and then in the last seasons, thanks to Chuck or some powerful being, Cas, Dean and Sam
They change reality and now Sister Winchester and Kevin are alive and went to college to have a normal life.
Similar to the day where Ellen and Jo were alive but now with Sister Winchster and Kevin and also Dean, Sam and Cas know that they are in another "reality" since they woke up.
Maybe they got a call when they were in the bunker and it was Sister Winchester asking if they were going to come see her like they had planned
Dean thinks it's a scam, it's obviously a transformer trying to trick them.
Sam has a feeling in his stomach, he had heard his sister talk about going to Stanford to study law like him and now they were going to Stanford, besides being a place with memories for him.
And then when Sam, Dean and Cas see her they hug her regardless of whether it's a trap or not because they miss her and when she died they never got to say goodbye to her.
They spend the whole day with Kevin and the Winchester sister trying to stay in that reality (without telling them that they die), Sam, Dean and Cas discover that she is really happy and that they are both studying what they wanted.
In the end they can't leave the world like this, they have to return everything to normal and they have to say goodbye.
Dean, Sam and Cas decide not to disturb the boys' perfect world and decide not to tell them that they are going to die.
In the last scene Kevin and Sister Winchester are on campus with their friends living a normal life.
Dean feels a little bad about how many times he wished his sister would come back because he knew he would never be able to have this life he's living and that if she somehow came back to life it would just be hunting.
Sam is thinking that this is the life his little sister should live, this is how it should be.
And I can't think about Cas anymore or I start crying haha
Before they get on the impala, Sister Winchester yells at them to wait and runs to hug them and tells them that she is going to miss them.
Parallel to when she was a child and said goodbye to Sammy, only now everything is different.
The boys shed a few tears while they hug each other and then Sister Winchester tells them not to worry that she will see them on vacation or that they can always come visit her.
They assure him that it will be like this even though they know it is a lie.
I'll leave this here and go slowly HAHAH
Jeesh with the sad headcannons 😭😭😭.
When she runs back to hug them, Sam grips onto her and won’t let go for so long…Dean has to put his hand on Sam’s shoulder to snap him out of it.
When Dean hugs her, he cradles the back of her head like he used to do when she was little. He closes his eyes and just tries so hard to enjoy one last moment with his little sister.
Cas hugs her close and tucks her head under his chin, like he’s trying to envelop her completely and protect her from the world.
When they finally drive away, no one can look in the rearview mirror.

Baby on Board
Title: Baby on Board
Pairing: Dean x F!Reader
Characters: Reader, Dean, Sam
Word Count: 633
Warnings: Dean is a little dense, fluff
A/N: Requested by @gloriousvampire
Requests are open! (Though I am a little slow to filling them)
This is ridiculous.
For the last two weeks, you’d been trying and failing to tell Dean that you’re pregnant. Sam caught on immediately, which somehow didn’t surprise you. All it took was an off-hand comment about retiring, followed by him catching you in the communal bathroom the next morning heaving over the toilet.
Sam pulled you into a tight hug, not letting go until you joked that he was hurting the baby. You asked him to keep it a secret, at least until you told Dean. You started searching pintrest boards, trying to find a to tell Dean, other than blurting it out over dinner.
One idea caught your eye, and you decided it to do it. You found some hamburger buns and set a timer, and called Dean into the kitchen. You could hardly contain your giggles, when the timer went off and you asked Dean to open the oven for a surprise.
“Is it a pie?” He asks excitedly, and you give a nonchalant shrug. “My girl knows the way to my heart.”
Sam watches from the doorway as Dean opens the oven door, and disappointedly pulls the bun out.
“Sweetheart, you know better than to tease me with promises of pie.”
“What is it, Dean?” Sam asks, clearly getting the joke.
“Some bread,” Dean grumbles.
“What kind of bread?” You push, trying to cover your growing smile.
“A bun,” Dean deadpans, “and the oven’s cold! Are you telling me I’m not getting pie?”
Sam shakes his head, and you try a little harder for Dean to get the message.
“Its a bun,” you say slowly, “in the oven.”
Dean rolls his eyes, and leaves the kitchen. Sam can barely contain his laughter as he hears the door to the Dean Cave close.
“Did he seriously not get it?” You turn to Sam, who's now keeled over. “I swear, Sam, I love your brother, but how did he not get it?”
Over the next week, you try three more times to tell Dean, but, god love him, the man is dense. You’ve tried everything short of looking deep into those emerald eyes, and saying the words “I’m pregnant.”
You enlist Sam’s help when you come up with an idea that you hope will finally get the message to Dean. Sam warns against it, but you insist, something has to work, and nothing gets more attention from Dean than the Impala. It’ll mean waiting a little while longer, but if Dean doesn’t figure it out before then you’ll have no other choice.
You wait until your first doctors appointment, who also confirms that you are further along than you’d originally thought. Through an ultrasound, you get to see the perfect silhouette of your and Dean’s baby.
Sam has kept Dean busy all day, and when you get back to the Bunker, you head straight for the Impala. Using the shoe polish that you picked up at the store on the way home, you carefully write on the windows of Baby.
You look at your work, pleased with your idea, and text Sam to bring Dean to the garage. You hide on the opposite side of the car, waiting for your husband to enter.
“The hell?!” Dean yells as he enters the garage. “Baby, who did this to you?”
“Read what it says, Dean,” Sam sighs.
“Baby– of– beard–” Dean says haltingly. “What the fuck does that even mean?”
“BABY ON BOARD!” You grunt out, appearing from your hiding spot. “BABY. ON. BOARD.” Dean still looks confused by your words, so you produce the ultrasound photo. “I’m pregnant!”
“You’re pregnant?” He repeats.
“Yes, you dumbass!” You laugh, “Been trying to tell you for weeks!”
Dean smiles bashfully before wrapping his arms around you and lifting you into the air.
“We’re having a baby!”
Feedback is appreciated!

Teacher Of The Year - P.01
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader
Summary: Heartbroken and restless, she walked into a bar with the full intention of getting smashed but she got more than she bargained for. Much more.
Warnings: NSFW
WC: 2632
A/N: This series once started a long time ago as a smut series with the help of @dean-winchesters-bacon. I decided to do a make over, there will still be plenty of smut but I’m working in some feelings too. Enjoy.
SERIES MASTERLIST
“I’ll be teaching you this year. Welcome to my class.” Professor Winchester places his black heavy case on the table and pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose with his forefinger. “I’m sensing that we’re going to have a lot of fun.” He looks into the class now, letting his eyes travel around the students sitting there. There aren’t many to begin with, as not a lot of students are interested in history.
Professor Winchester’s smirk quickly subsides when he spots her in the third row.
Seeing him standing there, all the images of last night comes rushing to her head.
***
..THE NIGHT BEFORE
“Hey.”
Y/N hears someone greeting her, feels someone standing right next to her but she can’t even find the strength in herself to look up, can’t find it in herself to care because she’s been chatted up so many times already tonight and they all have nothing to offer but a cheesy pick up line, which honestly, does not work with her. She doubts that they work on any women at all.
The guy doesn’t care, though, sits himself next to her on the empty bar stool and watches her down another shot of clear liquid. Because that’s how it is, if she wants to make the men seem more tolerable around here, she really needs to get more alcohol into her system.
She can still see the guy from the corner of her eyes. He’s smiling as he watches her down that shot and it’s really annoying to say the least. She’s not in the mood for anything but drinking her own body weight in cheap spirit and that dude better not try and stop her.
“Leave me alone,” She mutters underneath her breath but she doesn’t tilt her head to look at him, feels like she doesn’t really have to because she wants that dude gone.
The man starts to chuckle, “You look like you could need some company.”
She steals a glance, tilts her head towards him and there’s a moment of shock because she feels like the air has been punched out of her lungs.
He’s so pretty, oh my god.
Trying to compose herself, she slips back into her rage, determined not to let his looks throw her off. But my god, what a hot dude! She can see that he has cute little freckles, “What makes you think that, huh? Do I look so miserable to you? Because if I do, you’re damn right I am.”
“No, actually,” Hot dude signals for the bartender to drop both of them another shot, “You’re the only one here without company and I’m kinda new, so, uh..”
So, he must have been watching her for some time to know that she’s alone here. What a creep. Why are all hot guys either taken, cheating bastards or creeps?
The bartender places two shots in front of them and she downs it immediately while he, on the other hand, just takes sips from his, grinning a little when he speaks, “Oh, and you’re pretty, not miserable. Besides, why can’t two grown ups who are alone in a bar not drink together, huh? Is there a campus rule I’ve missed? Because let me tell you, I’ve read through them and none of the rules says that it’s not allowed.”
Y/N eyes the guy up and down, the grin’s still on his face and it’s unbelievably cocky. It’s weird but she has the feeling that he’s different to other guys, there’s something about him, she just can’t really put a finger on it yet.
“I like you.” She says in a sing-song voice and her speech might be slurring a little. “You’re not like the other dudes who would just try to get into my pants. At least not immediately.”
She knows that maybe he wants to, is not really that drunk yet but since he bought her alcohol, he’s allowed to stay for a while. And, honest to god, he’s gorgeous. Certainly better looking than her boyfriend, well, now her ex.
He’s smiling a little, the creases around his eyes deepening and then he licks his lips, and oh god, they are sinful and suddenly, she wants them on her. “I’ll take that as a compliment.” He’s holding his shot glass out for a toast.
The next thing she knows, he’s whispering dirty promises into her ear, noses around the back of it, breathes warm air against the nape of her neck and it makes her shiver. Her walls crumble as he nibbles at her earlobe while his hand brushes up and down her thighs.
She certainly didn’t go out looking for this. But she’s more than up for it.
“Let’s get out.” He mumbles a laughter against the shell of her ear, his big hands kneading at the flesh on her waist.
“Please.” She whimpers, doesn’t even matter if she sounds desperate because that’s exactly what she is.
“That’s a word you’re going to use often tonight.” He grins cockily and fuck, if that’s not a promise to a hell of a good night, then she doesn’t know what is.
*
At his place, he’s pulling her closer with a hand firm on the back of her neck, as his soft lips melts to hers. His tongue explores the inside of her mouth while he fumbles with the key to unlock the door to his apartment with his other hand. She grinds her hips against his bulge and he loses his cool for a moment, dropping the keys, curses at himself and she thinks it’s cute. She begins to giggle as she watches him kneel down to retrieve them from the ground.
While he’s down, he trails his hands up her legs until they vanish underneath her skirt and then he looks up at her so seductively she has to bite her lip as not to attack him right here and now. His knuckles graze her damp panties and when she looks down, she sees his head disappearing beneath her skirt as he noses at her clit through the panties.
Oh, fuck.
Y/N places both her hands on either side of the door frame, holding herself up because her knees are weak.
“Jesus, sweetheart, you’re dripping!” He looks up with a smirk that makes her melt on the inside, “Gotta taste ya.”
She feels him pushing the fabric out of the way with his fingers, and then, oh my god, his tongue slides along her folds, the tip of it tickling at the hood of her clit, causing her to grip the door frame tight, fingernails digging into the wood, she’s sure that she’s leaving a mark on it. But how can she not, she’s so close to losing her balance with his head between her thighs.
“Delicious,” The slurping sound accompanies his word and if anything, the dirtiness of it all makes her even wetter. “Just like I thought you would be. So fucking sweet.”
“Shit. We should get in first, shouldn’t we?” Her voice is broken, she can barely hold herself together but her mind still works because she’s a little terrified that someone could see them like this, but at the same time, it turns her on knowing that someone could see them. What the hell is wrong with her? She’s usually not like that. At all.
There’s a chuckle underneath her skirt, hot air hits her clit and he proceeds to come out from underneath her skirt. She looks down, meets his eyes, in the light of the staircase, they are green. His hair’s all ruffled up and so fucking sexy, it makes her want to bury her hands in them, pull at them, ruffle them up some more.
He sends her a smile, a little wink, the crinkles around his eyes deepens, “Yeah, we should.”
Pulling him up by his shirt, she kisses him, and by miracle, he manages to open the door, and it opens so abruptly that they fall into the apartment, giggling as they are lying on the floor with him on top of her. It must have been weeks since she felt so carefree and she embraces every minute of it.
And it’s weird. So weird. It’s like she’s someone else completely. She’s never done anything like this before, never went home with a stranger. Never made out with someone who’s name she doesn’t know. What surprises her the most is, that she doesn’t really care.
They didn’t even make it to the bed; he takes her right there against the wall. Cock thrusting hard at a blistering pace in and out of her while she has her legs hooked behind his back. He sucks at her throat as if his life depends on it and she’s sure that she’s going to have to wear a scarf tomorrow. But that’s a problem for tomorrow, tonight, she’s enjoying every mark he leaves, enjoys every thrust of his hips, every dirty word he whispers into her ear.
He does have a dirty mouth while he fucks, saying things that make her blush, teeth sinking into her hot flesh as he rubs at her cunt, making her come so hard on his cock, making her see fucking stars.
And she can’t help but compare the man to her ex, and honestly, how could she have stayed with her ex for so long when something like this was just waiting around the corner?
“Feels so fucking good when you come on my cock, baby.” He breathes against her, his nose right on hers as he kisses her, as hard and deep as he fucks her, it blows her fucking mind.
He’s letting her down after some time and turns her around roughly and she finds herself pressed against the cool door, welcomes the cold surface; it feels like a relief for her hot cheeks.
Before she knows it, he grabs a fistful of her hair and yanks at it, making her arch her back, pushing out her ass against his erection. She can’t even say anything because he slams home again, filling her up in just the right places. And it’s good. So fucking good.
With her hair in his hand, he yanks again, making her arch her back even more so he can hit all the spots deep inside of her. Spots, nobody was able to reach before him.
“Fuck.” She breathes against the door. “C’mon, harder!”
She blushes at herself, because she’s never the one who normally dares to say what she wants but it feels different with him. Maybe because she doesn’t know him. Maybe it’s because she doesn’t even know his fucking name and playing a role of a filthy slut who fucks the next best guy is a whole new thing she doesn’t even know she liked.
“Yeah, you like that, huh, baby girl?” He pants, “So fucking sexy when you tell me what you want,” His hand wrenches her further up by her hair as he presses his body flush against her back and mouths his way from her shoulders to her ear. “Fuck. You feel so good. It’s like your pussy was made for me.” He licks her ear, lets her down again and then he increases his pace. Her fingers dig into the door for leverage, holding on to it for dear life.
She’s sure that whoever would walk past the door could hear the filthy fucking noise they make. At this point, she really couldn’t care less.
And then she feels it again, the tension that’s building up in the depths of her belly and it goes down her legs and they start to shake as she clamps around him.
Holy shit.
She has never felt anything remotely close to this before. Never in her life, did a man make her come with only a dick in her pussy. This is the first time and already she can’t get enough of it, wants more, needs it like fucking air.
He pants hard and thrusts against her twice more before his hand lets go of her hair, and he grabs a hold of her ass with both hands. They are so incredibly big. His blunt nails digging crescent moons into her skin as he rolls his hips lazily against her. The sound he makes when he comes is incredibly sexy, a deep low groan. It makes her crave for more.
They find their way into his bed soon after and she falls into a dreamless sleep, until she wakes up to him eating her out at dawn.
“I was hungry,” He mumbles against her sex and looks up at her with a cocky grin, before he seals his lips back around her clit and sucks it in. She bites down on her bottom lip, her fingers cradling his head, fisting her hands into his short hair and she pulls him closer, nails digging into his scalp when she comes with a shrieking sound.
Y/N wakes up a second time when there’s already light out and she hears the shower running. It’s only about a minute until she realizes where she was and then it hits her.
Shit, she needs to get to class!
Hastily she gets up, gathers her clothes off the floor and puts them on. She’s about to disappear through the door when he walks out of the bathroom in nothing but a towel around his hips. Droplets of water dripping down his perfectly sculpted body and she’s holding back a squeal.
Oh my god. He looks even better by daylight.
“Hey,” He says, and there’s a smirk on his face.
He has freckles. And his eyes are even greener, if that’s possible.
She’s unable to form words so all she does is stare.
“Uh, I have to head out for my job anyway, should I drive you?” He asks and she sees the displeased look in his eyes because he knows that she’d decline.
Is he mad that she wanted to sneak out?
“I’m alright. Thanks,” She lowers her head, and adds, “For everything.” Then she smiles at him and she sees him smile back at her. She’s blushing but so does he and she can’t say whose face is more flushed. It feels like they are stupid teenagers.
She hurries back to her dorm, takes a quick shower and changes her clothes. She sees the marks around her throat and there’s no way that she has time to conceal them all, so she wraps a scarf around her neck before she heads to class.
*
And here she is, sitting in a classroom full of students and her new professor is the man who fucked her so good and made her come three fucking times last night.
Well, this is awkward.
“Any questions?” Professor Winchester asks the class at the end.
Of course no one has a question, all the girls were just staring at him all the time and she doesn’t even know if they understood anything he just taught them, not that she understood anything either because her head’s still spinning.
“Uh.. Miss?” He’s pointing his chin at her, and some of the students are already standing up to leave, but not her, she’s unable to move.
“Y/N.” She almost moans it out because she couldn’t stop picturing his face between her thighs.
“Yeah. Y/N. So, I’d like to see you in my office after class. I’ve been watching. You didn’t pay attention.”
“Oh.. uh.. ok. Yes.”
“Just wanna make sure you are following my lesson.”
“Sure.”
“Sure? I think you can phrase that differently, Y/N.” His eyes burn through her.
“Yes…Sir.”
He nods at her, his lips curve up into a smirk and suddenly, her face begins to flare up.

Waiting....
**Warnings** Angst, Language, SPN level violence. Hurt Dean, Hurt/comfort fic. Think that’s everything.
Word Count: 1794
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader; Sam x Dean (Not Winchset)
A/N: All mistakes are mine!! Please don’t copy my stuff!! Cross Posted on Wattpad! If you want to be added to my tag list let me know!! This is a filler until tomorrow's chapter of Promised is released!! Hope you all enjoy this one!! As always feedback is appreciated!!
Dean's POV:
Tired wasn't the word for what Dean was feeling throughout his whole body right now. There wasn't a spot on him that wasn't sore or didn't feel like he'd been nailed with a sledgehammer. He knew he'd be covered in bruises in the morning, and if he was already this sore, then by the time he woke up he was going to barely be able to walk in the morning at all.
He'd been in this shape before, it wasn't the first time some freak had kicked his ass. There were a lot more vamps in the coven than what they'd expected, and they'd almost got the jump on him. If Sammy wouldn't have shown up when he did, well...
Still, he was determined to not let it show just how bad he was hurting right now. Standing his aching body up as straight as possible he poured the last of the gas from the small can into the doorway of the house, struck the match, and tossed it inside before closing the front door. Torching the evidence was the fast way to go, and he needed this job to be over with so that he could get them back to the Lawrence before the soreness and stiffness won out over his own resolve, and they'd be stuck in this town for days.
"Come on Sam, get the lead out of your ass!" Dean yelled over his shoulder as he walked as straight as he could to the car.
Sam came trotting up to the passenger side of the impala, both men looking back at the burning house over before sliding in a shutting the door, pulling out of the driveway, and headed toward the city limits as fast as they could without getting caught. Dean was more than ready to put this little Podunk town behind him. Even though his body protested against him with every moment he was determined to make it back to Lawrence tonight, even if it killed him.
She would be waiting for him when came through those doors, and that's all he could think about. Getting back to her...
Your POV:
Sitting on the porch of the small house you'd been living in since moving to Lawrence Kansas, you held the cup of coffee that was steaming in your hands tighter to your chest like you could channel the warmth from the drink into your body to cut through the chilly night air.
It wasn't completely dark yet, just dusk.
You couldn't get used to this hunter life. When you meet dean, he'd told you he was just a traveling salesman selling health insurance. About a year into your very odd relationship though, he stumbled through the front door of your house bloody, and with a dislocated shoulder.
That's when you got the shock of your life.
You almost left him that night. It wasn't one of your proudest moments.
The shock of learning that all the shit that goes bump in the night is real and that your boyfriend hunts them and kills them, combined with the fact that he'd lied to you for over a fucking year and didn't open up to you about what he really was doing, laced with the, one day he may not come home, and it was almost too much for you to handle.
Even though you packed your bags you couldn't leave. You loved him too much.
So every time he'd disappear with his brother to work on another 'case' as he called them, you'd pace the front porch and check the phone every few minutes until you heard from him again. You never really relaxed until he was back in your arms. This was just something you were going to have to learn to live with. You loved him too much to walk away.
Your phone dinged in the pocket of your favorite, oversized, fluffy robe that you wore when you needed some sort of comfort, and Dean was unavailable.
Pulling it as quickly out of your pocket as you could you breathed a sigh of relief you didn't realize you were holding when the phone rang.
Dean: On my way home sweetheart. See you soon.
Dean's POV:
"Let me drive Dean so that you can get some rest.."
"No Sam, I'm fine! We only got about fifteen minutes and we'll be home. Why the hell would I pull over now?"
"Your hurting Dean, Let me drive you the rest of the way. I'll drop you off at the bunker, then I can go pick up Y/N if you want..."
"No Sam, now that's finale. I'm fine. I've had worse. I'm just a little sore, and ready to get out of this car. I'm not about to stop the car and prolong this trip any longer just so you can drive for the remainder of what's now probably only about a 13 minutes drive!"
Throwing his hands up in the air Sam gave up, and Dean breathes a sigh of relief. Well, the best he could anyway. He didn't know if it was the position he was sitting in, or if his ribs were broken, but about an hour into the drive they'd started screaming at him in an ugly way, and it started getting hard to hide the fact that he was so uncomfortable to his little brother who then became increasingly annoying as Dean's discomfort seemed to increase.
The last 15 minutes to the journey seemed to feel like 15 hours. Finally, Dean saw the bunker. Pulling the car in front of the door, throwing it in park he looked over at Sam, not saying anything, just giving him the look of 'get the fuck out of my car I want to go home to my girl,’ or at least he was hoping that was the look he was portraying, and he didn't just look constipated...
"You're not serious? Dean look at you, your basically panting in pain! You’re not really going to drop me off here, then drive to Y/N’s house!"
Dean said nothing, just continued staring, wishing he could reach across the seat and slap him, but his ribs protested too much. He was pretty sure his left ankle had been dislocated as well, so that ruled out leverage.
Sam shook his head and jerked the car door open. "You know I can go get her and bring her to you."
Dean said nothing, just threw the car in reverse and looked at Sam waiting for him to shut the door.
"I swear sometimes you're just like dad," he said, shutting the door like a little child, and stalking off toward the bunker.
He'd be fine. Elaine was waiting there for him, he didn't know that yet, but Dean saw the tail of her car parked just next to the garage, safely hidden in the bushes. She'd keep him company.
Dean knew that they had been secretly seeing each other for about a month now. They needed some time alone together. It was good for him. Even if for whatever reason he didn't want to tell him.
Getting back out on the main road Dean only had one goal in mind. Getting to his girl.
Your POV:
You'd been pacing the floor now for what felt like an absolute eternity. You were pretty sure this is what hell felt like even though you'd never been there. The time between knowing he was heading home, and hearing the sound of that impala he loved so much pull up in your driveway was the most agonizing part of waiting on Dean to return from a hunt.
Looking at the clock for what felt like the thousandth time your chest heavy with anxiety. You knew you could never ask him to hang up his hunting boots. He'd done too much good. Saved too many people. This is who he was, you knew that when you signed up to stay for this. Still, that didn't make it any easier.
Finally, when you thought you couldn't take another second you heard baby purring her way down your driveway.
"Thank God!"
You breathe the second sigh of relief that night. He was okay. He was home.
Pulling the door open you run out of the door of your little house as you see the door open on the impala. Dean didn't get out. Fuck.. Something was wrong. Running your way down the steps to the car your blood ran from your face as soon as you saw him.
He was beaten up worse than you'd ever seen him. He looked at you with one of his eyes almost swollen shut, holding his body at a strange angle, taking shallow breaths as he leaned against the steering wheel.
"Dean? Baby, what happened? Look at me!"
How the fuck he made it to your house form the bunker you'd never know. Sheer stubborn grit.
Rolling his head around, his eyes finally meet yours. He gave you a weak smile. Taking the last little bit of grit he had left in him to stand to his feet and lean outside the car, arms reaching for you instinctively. You didn't care that he was filthy, all that you cared about was that he was here, and he was safe.
"I probably need a bath," he mumbled as you lead him into the house.
Your neighbor was watering the bushes between your two houses, looked at Dean like he'd seen a ghost. Dean gave him the finger and you had to cover the laugh that crept up to your lips.
"Fucking nosy old man," he said as you reached the front door. "Do I look that rough?"
"Yeah babe, you look pretty bad."
You couldn't help laughing at his sarcastic bitchface that he gave you, or well the best one he could in his current state. As long as Dean had his wit you knew he would be fine.
----------------------------------------------------
Three hours later the two of you lay in bed, the room dark, all but the TV playing some stupid movie that you couldn't even remember the name of. Dean was sleeping peacefully with his head on your chest, and his arm and leg threw over you. You still were playing with his soft, freshly washed hair. Just enjoying the feeling of his body warming yours.
You were pretty sure his ribs were fractured, still, he wouldn't go to a hospital, saying he'd had worse, and he could just sleep it off. He was always stubborn to a fault, but he was yours, and nights like this, just the two of you, it made all the waiting and fear worth it. He was worth it. He'd always be worth it...

I love the banter between Sam and Dean. Sam calling Dean out on the way he's acting and Dean's response...

Brilliant!!
'He fills any room, warms any space, quells any fears or insecurity just by showing up.'
Beautiful description of Dean. Thank goodness they have come to their senses and he is going to take her home 😉

From Part One Do It For Me:
“Could help you out if you want,” he mutters, watching her skin prickle under his touch.
Her breath catches in her throat. “Yeah?” she whispers.
Dean nods, pulling his bottom lip between his teeth, becoming bolder by the second. He slides his fingertips under the hem of her shorts and flicks his eyes to hers.
“Doesn’t have to mean anything,” he says, hoping the proverbial torch he’s been carrying for her for almost five years isn’t burning too brightly. “Or it can.”
She exhales a shaky breath and her knees roll open as his hand gravitates between her legs, up under her shorts.
“Can just…” His own sigh is a bit shaky as he finds her hot, wet slit. “Make you come ‘til you pass out and sleep the rest of this off.”
Since that afternoon, when Dean did make her come until they both passed out on the couch, sweaty and satisfied, wrapped in a quilt her grandmother made 30 years before, neither of them was able to look at the other straight without blushing, grinning, or both.
Yet, much like last time, they didn’t talk about it afterward, and the longer they put it off, the more awkward it became.
They were also spending an inordinate amount of time trying to act normal around Sam and Eileen; instead, they came across like they were trying to cover up a murder or something.
“Dude, what is with you?” Sam asks four days post-incident.
“What?!?” Dean stage-whispers, his gaze darting wildly around Eileen’s backyard, where several friends have donned swimwear and are sipping their beverages of choice until it lands on her, and his skin flushes.
“That. That’s what,” Sam responds, flipping the burgers and brats, feeling mildly amused and significantly annoyed by his brother’s utter cluelessness regarding their roommate. “Stop acting like you guys didn’t hook up again. You can’t sit still or keep your mouth shut for three seconds when she's in the room.”
Dean feels a flush of a different kind as he glares at his younger brother. “Horseshit. I’m zen as fuck.”
He lets his gaze float back to the object of his desire, glistening in the sun as she bobs in the pool with their friends.
Sam snorts and arches a sidelong brow. “This morning at brunch, you read the ingredients from every condiment bottle on the table before getting up for a newspaper and further procrastinating by asking old man Fergus about his cats.”
“So?" Dean gripes without taking his eyes off her. "I was being neighborly.”
“You hate that guy and you’re allergic to cats.”
“What’s your point, Sam?” Dean turns to face his brother again, not ready to have the conversation but knowing full-well that it's happening anyway.
“I already said," Sam answers with a casual shrug. "You’re doing a shit job of concealing that you two got something going on again, and no one cares, anyway.”
Dean drags his eyes back to catch a glimpse of her adjusting her ball cap over her shaded eyes. Even with her sunglasses on, the light reflecting from the pool is harsh and she squints, wrinkling her nose and clucking her tongue before laughing at something Meg has said.
Dean can't help but grin and revel in the butterflies in his stomach.
“In fact," Sam continues, "if you asked anyone in this county or the next one over? They’d be relieved you two are finally doing something about it.”
“She’s still married, Sammy,” Dean replies quietly, flicking his gaze back to his brother. “And you know that sonuvabitch’d make her life Hell if he thought he could — I ain’t given’ him any ammo.”
Sam is thoughtful for a moment before continuing more gently.
“At least tell me you aren’t holding out on her or yourself just because you aren’t ready to make it public yet,” Sam asks. “I’m not expecting you to take out an ad in The Lebanon Times, but I hope you aren’t just brushing it under the rug like last time...”
Dean clears his throat, shifts his weight, and downs the rest of his beer before tossing it in the recycling bin. “You want another one?” he asks Sam in an attempt to change the subject.
“Dean. Come on, man, don’t do this to yourself,” Sam lowers his voice, trying to snag his brother’s attention. “Don’t do it to her.”
Dean shakes his head. “Man, I’m not the only one in this situation; the road goes both ways, she could talk to me, too.”
Sam screws his eyebrows and stands up straight, abandoning the soft approach since his brother is clearly a moron. “What are you, three? That’s the oldest, weakest excuse for not taking initiative.”
Dean sighs, glances back toward the pool, and lets the memories of her wash over him — her husky voice, demanding more; her soft, strong hands, gripping him so tight; her scent like fresh-baked lemon meringue pie, sweet and heady and thick; and the way she falls apart so fucking easily for him every time.
“Alright, alright,” Dean holds up a hand in surrender as he backs away from his brother, headed to the cooler. “I’ll... come up with somethin'- say something. You want another one, or what?”
He doesn’t wait for Sam’s affirmative reply before turning and striding toward the cooler under the awning of the side patio. His own sunglasses are seated firmly on the upper bridge of his nose, but he fidgets with them anyway when the allure of her throaty laughter glides through the heat of the afternoon sun. Dean groans as he flips the lid of the cooler and reaches in for two bottles.
Just as he stands and turns back toward the group, she’s pushing up out of the water. He watches the rivulets of water sparkle across her bronzed, sculpted shoulders and down her shapely arms to her wrists. She twists her narrow waist and slides her perfectly heavy, peach of an ass to sit on the edge of the pool.
Her body looks like those statues of Venus but full of life and heat, breathing and hungry, sleek and strong. Her back is a work of art and he’s suddenly so hard in his trunks, he has to figure out how to walk back to the grill without coming in his pants.
AC/DC blares from the sound system, and she laughs again, head thrown back, baring her throat and kicking water in an arc aimed at Meg.
“Oh, my god, Meg, remember that trashy dance routine we did in high school to AC/DC?”
Meg splashes back, cackling. “We thought we were so hot!”
They each dissolve into giggles, and Dean can’t take his eyes off of her. He’s openly staring when she suddenly turns her head in his direction.
Dean pops each bottle top off with his ring and drops them in the recycling. She gasps on her laughter and bites her lip to stop from choking because that off-the-cuff move of his is just one example of how good he is with his hands.
Memories from mere days before, his hands up her shorts, holding her open wide and down as he mouthed at her cunt through the thin cotton makes her squirm and whimper. He worked her up from a puddle of vibrating sludge to a shining goddess over that three hours on the living room couch. And then he put her to bed and tucked her in.
Meg wades closer, away from Cas and Gabe, and wraps a hand around her ankle. “You OK there?” Meg asks soothing a hand up and down her friend’s calf.
“Yeah,” she breathes, answering Meg’s concern and trying not to dwell on the memories of Dean's hands on her skin.
Meg nods, sliding her shades down to the tip of her nose to gaze over the rim at her best friend of 20 years. “Nothing since Sunday?”
She told Meg about the couch incident. She gushed about it. Meg told her Monday night that she should go crawl into bed with Dean without a word, but that just didn't seem right.
She shakes her head in answer and drops her eyes to the rippling water below, remembering how she woke up alone in her bed Sunday night at 8:30 pm with an ache between her thighs like she hadn’t known in years. There was a sweating bottle of water and two Excedrin on her nightstand and her childhood bear was tucked in beside her.
She could hear the brothers chatting and the dull sound of the TV playing from the other side of her bedroom door. She rolled to her side, downed the pills and water, and let sleep take her through till morning.
“It’s OK, it was just a friend helping a friend out kinda thing,” she replies to Meg’s frown with a shrug.
Meg cocks a brow and smirks. “I wouldn’t be so sure about that.” Meg juts her chin back to where Dean is standing with his brother.
He’s watching them closely, the heat of his stare, radiating through his aviators. He licks his bottom lip into his mouth before lazily pulling it out from under his teeth as he taps his ring against the bottleneck in time with AC/DC.
"That's not how just friends look at each other," Meg says as her friend glances back at Dean.
Meg watches her swoon at the vision of Dean, tall and broad and solid, even next to his giant brother. There’s something almost separately sentient about Dean’s anatomy. He fills any room, warms any space, quells any fears or insecurity just by showing up.
Meg wants her friend to be happy for once. She wants her to be appreciated and cared for. Her heart skips a beat when her best friend sighs and pushes up to stand, grabbing her netted cover-up and wristlet as she slides her feet into her flip-flops.
“Have fun,” Meg sings from the pool before floating back to her fiance and their friends.
"Thanks," she grumbles as she drops the slinky knit over her head and shoulders before making her way to the grill area.
The corner of Dean’s mouth curves with a smirk so silent and maddening that only he’s capable of pulling it off without being a smug bastard. Dean’s confident, but he’s got every reason to be.
“Hey, girl, you hungry?” Sam asks, not yet recognizing the swell of heat and unsaid want between her and his brother.
She can’t control the way her chest vibrates and her exhale shakes, and Dean’s cocksure smirk splits into a bright, wide grin.
“Hungry, princess?” Dean asks, lifting his beer bottle to his mouth to tongue the opening before wrapping his sumptuous lips around it.
“Not for that,” she replies, nodding toward the grill.
Then, Sam does a double-take before grinning himself. “Well, Dean, maybe you should see if you can’t find something she wants.” He tries to hide a grin.
Dean bobs his head before tossing what’s left of his beer into the bin then offering her his elbow. “Shall we?”
She chuckles in the way that makes Dean's toes curl and loops her hand through the crook of his arm. “Lead the way.”
As they saunter toward the door to Eileen’s kitchen, Dean looks down at her and asks, “you got everything?”
She blinks, feeling a little confused and a lot flustered. “Like what?”
“Phone, keys, your utmost certainty that you want this to happen,” Dean replies, his shoulders stiffening and his jaw tense.
He slides the glass door open and guides her inside the air-conditioned house, then closes the door behind them with a soft thud.
She turns to face him and draws a deep breath. His bright, warm eyes are filled with hope and anticipation.
“I don’t really know what’s on the menu, but you make me feel good and safe. I want that.”
Dean smiles and walks into her, enveloping her in his arms. “OK,” he murmurs against her damp ball cap before dragging his lips down and along her jaw. “Lemme take you home.”
She sighs and melts in his embrace. “OK.”

While I was practicing my Enochian handwriting today, I thought about Cas teaching Jack how to write Enochian and made this little sheet. (please forgive my English handwriting btw, I know it's not great)
The large words are Cas so Jack could see the all the points and curves in the letters, The little scruffy ones is Jack trying his best and the pink is Cas' corrections.
The words are 'Jack' 'Castiel' 'Dean' and 'Sam'. (There was tape in the page behind this stopping me from writing smoothly so that's why, with Dean's name in Cas' writing, the N is a bit far apart from the rest) In Jack's spelling of Castiel, he put i twice but drew the first one very messy and some of the letters are a bit off. In his spelling of Sam, he used the letter H because in English it looked like an M and he got confused. The pink notation nest to the red sticker says 'Don't forgot the points xx' because I always forget to add the triangle points and I think Jack probably would as well. Lastly, the tick next to Sam's correct spelling is in a circle cos that's what my school did if you got it but needed help so it's how I mark things now
⬇️⬇️ Story that gose with this ⬇️⬇️
Some time passes and Jack managed to figure out all the letters to write Castiel's name. He was nervous so added a question mark at the end then asked his dad if it was correct. Cas was touched that Jack tried his name first. He told him it was very close and marked the page again, this time with small corrections and slid the note book back over to him again. Seconds passed before Cas realized that Jack was showing genuine interest in the language! He moved next to Jack, settings aside his work, added another sticker and wrote his name underneath where Jack had to show him all the little points and curves.
Temp edit: I am posting this at 2am without proof reading it so there will probably be spelling mistakes
Jack just wanted to know how to spell his name and Cas, not thinking about it much, asked if he wanted it written in Enochian. Jack got very excited about it, Cas happily wrote it at the top of the page and continued to do what he was doing before hand. Jack then wrote his name on his own under it, feeling very proud. He looked at the word for a moment then each letter individually. Underneath it, he wrote 'Ca', stopped and erased it. He didn't know the rest of the letters so he went off to find a book about it. When he came back to the table, Cas had graded his word and added a sticker. They smile at eachother and get back to work.
First task was just copying what Cas wrote. The words had to be ones that Jack wanted to write to keep him engaged in the task. Upon being asked he chose to stay on the theme of family. Dean was asleep at the other end of the table so he said the next word to write would be Dean's name next. Copying worked pretty good for Jack as he got to watch Cas' pencil as it moved and he could watch as the letters form on the page. This time, he wrote it perfectly, getting an '100%' sticker.
However, Jack wanted to try a word on his own again and to complete the set, that word was Sam's name! S ✓ A ✓ H × Woops. "I can understand the confusion, don't be discouraged." Cas said to him, "An M is actually written like this. It's like a 3 that's flipped and falling backwards." He wrote the correct letter above the mistake in his pink pen. Jack re wrote the word. S A M ✓. All fixed & Sticker achieved! Cas wrote the word under it as extra confirmation that it was correct.
Sam walks past and looks at the sheet. The 3 talked for a while about it and Sam said that he used to think H was M too when be started reading Enochian and that it's an easy mistake to make. Sam had came by because he needed to borrow Cas' research for a moment. While left alone, Jack decided to try and write a short sentences. He looked at the page, thinking of what to write when it hit him. 'Take the 'i' from Castiel, the 'a' from Dean, 'M' from Sam then add my name to it' he thought, 'and you get...'
I am Jack !
He stot up from his seat to go show Cas, knocking over his chair, startling Dean awake in the process. Jack caught Cas and Sam in the hall and showed them both. He was so bouncy that he couldn't hold the page still enough for them to read so Cas suggested they all go back to the table as the stickers are back there anyway as well as the pen he had been marking with. Upon arriving back they all saw Dean looking at the stickers. "Aren't they cool? Look how many I got today!" Jack said as he showed Dean his work, explaining the words to him. "That's my name up the top then Cas then yours. I didn't do any mistakes on yours! I messed up with Sam's but that's okay, 'M' is hard." Dean smiled and nodded as he listed to Jack talk, "I'm gonna get one more sticker if this is correct right?" Jack said and handed the book to Cas. He marked it and drew a little Bee just for fun. "You did so well you can have 2 and you can pick them yourself." Jack was ecstatic at Cas' words then, after some thought, picked the flower so the bee had a nice place to land. "The flower is pink just like the bee" he said as Cas placed the sticker down on the page.

Another fic for y’all! Human!au, super cute!
Dean Winchester and the Patron Saint of Blind Dates by goldenraeofsun
Dean Winchester's friends are a bunch of traitors. So he had a bad breakup two years ago and hasn't gotten back on the horse. Their intervention - a series of blind dates - can't be the solution.
But if this'll get his friends to stop, Dean can choke down over-priced spaghetti, make forced conversation, and drink whatever random cocktail the blue-eyed weirdo bartender makes for him next.
At least Cas has his back. One nod from Dean, and he'll swoop down from behind the bar and make excuses for Dean to bail. It would be a perfect system - except Dean can't stop trading knowing looks with Cas and focus on his damn dates instead.

Chapter 29
Previous Chapter
Next Chapter
You hid behind the pillar and watched him pace around on the balcony of the building before you. When you tried to make it to the other pillar he saw you and began shooting. You ran into the nearest shop and ran out the back ignoring the screams and shouts. You managed to pry open a window and squeezed yourself out of it, but as you reached the ground you went over on your ankle and cried out in pain.
You willed yourself to run again as you heard Dean shouting out for you.
You heard the bang from the gun as he peered out the window and saw you fleeing.
You rang Sam, “Where the fuck are you?”
“He knocked me out, I'm coming, where are you?” he asked.
"I'm heading towards the old town museum.“ you cried.
"Good, stay hidden among the crowds, We will fix this, I promise” he tried to calm you down.
As you ran into the museum you saw the large queue, you panicked as you knew Dean wouldn't be far behind.
You limped over to the ticket booth cutting in line but trying so hard to say sorry.
“Miss back of the line,” the lady demanded.
“Please I do not want a ticket, there is a guy chasing me please can I hide somewhere, just for a few minutes.”
When the girl realized you weren't joking, she came out of the booth and brought you into the staff corridor behind the booths.
“Stay here I'm gonna get help,” she promised.
You heard Dean's voice, it sounded close so you ran up the corridor and ran through the door. As you stood in the museum bar you hid behind the counter.
“Wait, are you the girl they are talking about over the headset?" the barman asked.
“Yes,” tears ran down your face.
“Okay, stay behind there.” the barman tried to act as normal as possible.
When Dean walked through, he came upon the barman, smirking he asked him if he had seen you.
"No sir,” the barman answered.
“Well, you see I think you're lying," Dean pointed his gun at him.
“Wait!" you stood up hands in the air.
“Run, “ you said to the barman.
“There she is, ” Dean smiled sadistically.
“Dean," you pleaded with him as he rounded the bar “It's me,”
Then he shot you twice in the chest.
As you lay dying Dean went to in a trance but was pushed to the floor when Sam came running to you.
“I'm sorry Y/n, I tried to get here in time," he sobbed.
Dean then snapped out of it and looked confusingly around. He was unsure of how he got here.
When his eyes landed on you he flung himself down beside you.
“What the fuck happened?" he shouted.
“Y/N who did this?“ he asked.
“I forgive you bulldog,” you rasped, before closing your eyes.
“Y/N" the boys screamed your name.
“Was this me Sammy? “ Dean asked through tears as he held you to his chest, "Please tell me this wasn't me,"
Sam didn't answer, Instead, he called for Castiel.
When he appeared Sam pointed at you "Please Cas, There isn't much time,"
Castiel came to you and healed you within seconds.
As you gasped for air, you looked at Dean and covered your face “Please Dean it's me,”
“I know sweetheart, I know it's you I don't know what's happening." he cried in despair.
As you lower your hands you weren't in the museum anymore, but in a room filled with paintings. You looked around and your eyes landed on a smirking Zachariah.
“Enjoy the show," he smirked,
“You son of a bitch,” you launched at him
“Watch your tone with me, girl,” and you fell to your knees clutching your chest, “You think that was bad, if you don't convince Dean to say yes to Michael, I will make you go through all kinds of torture at the hands of your lover, now make him say yes,"
Before you could respond you found yourself in the middle of Bobby’s living room.

Lovely - Dean Winchester x fem!reader
Based on the song Lovely covered by Lauren Babic and Seraphim. I’ll link it here.
Reader goes to hell and must survive or become a demon. Will the Winchesters reach her in time?
—-
“I… I thought I found a way…” (Y/N) pressed her lips together, feeling her body growing colder and colder, “Thought I found a way out.” Dean held her gently on the ground, keeping her head up to look into his eyes. He was crying, his green eyes dark. The world was dark, darker than it had been before the Hellhound attack. They had tried to find the demon that forced her into a deal. They finally found the son of a bitch but it was too late. The dogs had her cornered, Dean and Sam were chasing after the demon, she had black out the attack itself. But she woke up from the darkness, seeing Dean holding her in his arms. That’s when she knew it was over.
“You’re gonna be okay.” Dean whispered, sniffling, “You’re gonna be fine.” He looked back at Sam who had the phone pressed to his ear, the hand that held it was shaking.
“Sam!” Dean shouted urgently.
“He’s not answering.” Sam tugged at his hair, redialing the phone, “Come on, Cas!”
“Dean…” She said softly, bringing his face back to hers. (Y/N) forced his eyes to look at hers and not into her open chest cavity. If he looked close enough, passed her missing ribs, he would see her heart beating slower and slower.
“I’m not gonna make it.” She breathed in deeply even though it hurt to do so.
“Yes, you are.” Dean’s voice was adamant, but even he didn’t believe it, “You’re gonna make it. You have to.”
She smiled weakly, wiping a stray tear away from his cheek, “No. I’m not. And I’m going to…”
The hunter looked up at the ceiling of the house, “Sam, why isn't he answering?!” While he was shouting, her body finally went cold and her heart ceased to beat. He didn’t notice she was gone until her hand fell from his face and limply on the floor.
“(Y/N)? Baby?” He touched her lips, feeling for her warm breath, but felt nothing, “No… No.” He gritted his teeth together, pulling her body tightly against his. Her blood was soaking into his clothes, her limp embrace pulled his heart deeper into despair.
-
Howling wind and hot rain caused (Y/N) to wake up with a gasp. It was dark besides the flashes of lightning all around the realm. That’s when she noticed how hot the ground was. She got up quickly, grateful that she still had her boots on. A crack of thunder caused her to jump, looking around for shelter. There was a large mountain nearby, the natural formations causing an overhang. She ran quickly, lightning striking right behind her like it was following her. When she made it to the side of the mountain, she felt her arm hair sticking up. But at least she was out of the rain.
Sam told her once that Meg described Hell as “flesh, and bone, and blood, and fear”. This would explain the red stains on her arms, it was literally raining boiling blood.
“Shit...” She said to herself, sliding down against the brimstone mountain. Wrapping her arms around knees, (Y/n) sat and waited, not knowing what else to do. Who knew if this storm would end. While she waited, she took an inventory of herself. Her clothes were untouched apart from the red rain, she did have all of her bones, no opening in her chest. She supposed it would be worse if she did come into Hell with all of her organs open for the underworld to see.
Her first instincts were to give up, either from her own sadness or some sort of air. But she couldn’t give up. She couldn’t stay here, she had to get back to Dean and Sam. After all, she just hoped someday she would make it out of here. Whether it was tonight or a hundred years from now. From what Dean said, a month is about the same as ten years. She had some time, even if it didn’t feel like it. First thing she needed to was to make a shelter to hide in, then a weapon in case any demons decided to come for her. After thinking about it for a while, she realized that no demons had come to get her when she first showed up. Maybe she fell through the cracks? It was a nice thought.
-
Over the next few days, (Y/N) made a crude shelter and some stone tools. They were sometimes brittle so they were only good for a jab and to give her enough time to run away. From the markings on her wall, it had been at least two months. She had seen demons, hiding when they came near or creating a diversion to escape. Fact of the matter was, she was beginning to feel further on edge. Why wasn’t she being tortured? Why wasn’t she picked up as soon as she arrived? The thought that someone was watching her, hunting her was a real possibility.
And today was the day when she would find out.
Foraging for materials, she heard the tumbling of rocks behind her. She whipped around, seeing no one or at least not immediately. She picked up the bag - that had been fashioned out of her flannel- and started running, fleeing into the dark forest on the edge of the crackling plains. This part of the Hellscape was unfamiliar, the trees' bark was brittle but sharp. The branches tugged at her clothes and cut her cheeks, every touch caused the branches to disintegrate.
After running almost blindly, (Y/N) came up on a clearing. After two months in limited light, her eyes had adjusted slightly to be able to see normally. So when she saw the man sitting on a stone in the middle of the clearing, staring into a fire, she kept a hand on her weapon.
The man looked up at her slowly, his eyes were human and not the endless black that came with becoming a demon. He was wearing a dark cloak, the hood covering his body from the rain. He gave her a smile and motioned for him to come forward. Keeping a tight grip on her shard of stone, she slowly came closer to the man.
"Another sinner that Hell forgot." He said in a gruff voice, "It was getting lonely out here."
"I was forced into a deal. I don't belong here. I'm trying to get out." Her voice was stiff.
The man chuckled, "Good luck, kid. I've been all over Hell's half acre. No way out unless you become one of them." Noticing that she still stood there, motioned his hand to the other stone that sat around the fire, "Have a seat. Rest a minute. I'm not gonna hurt ya." (Y/N) took a seat on the stone, staring at the man. He was familiar but he could be one of those faces.
"What was your deal?" He asked.
Looking at her lap, she shrugged: "No idea. I got possessed, made to write a contract, then the deal got sealed while I was getting out of the demon fog."
The man raised an eyebrow, glancing over at her from his gaze on the flames, "Rough luck."
"What about you?" She asked, since they were playing 20 questions.
"My son was dying. My life for his." He sighed and leaned back, bringing his cloak closer to his body like he was cold. "How long have you been here?"
She hummed, "Bout two months. You?"
He smiled, "Coming up on about a hundred years."
"I'm sorry..." She said, "Have you been tortured?" The question just popped up and she cursed herself as soon as she asked. "Shit, I'm sorry." Who asks that?
"You're fine, kid." He moved his dark cloak so she could see a large rusted, metal meat hook, sticking out of his shoulder. "Nice little souvenir from my escape." The sight of it made her nauseous. That's what she could be going through.
He pulled the cloak back over his shoulder, "What's your name? Got a job topside?"
"(Y/N). I was a hunter. A monster hunter." There was no sugar coating it. If the man knew about demons to make a deal, he probably wouldn't be too shaken by the idea of what else went bump in the night.
"You're kiddin'." His smile widened, turning to face her fully, "So was I. Once upon a time." He held his hand out for her to shake. She took it and shook.
"Name's John." He said before pulling his hand away, "If you're not looking to relocate any time soon, we could watch each other's backs for a while."
She nodded, "Sounds good, John."
-
Over the next few weeks, John and (Y/N) made a pretty good team. Collecting resources, creating cover from demons, and keeping each other safe. She got to know him well. Military vet turned to hunting after his wife died, leaving two boys behind. It was similar to a lot of hunters’ stories, choosing a life they never wanted.
“So what’s your story, kid?” John asked, stacking a brimstone brick around the fire pit.
She sighed, wiping the back of her hand across her forehead. Hell was getting hotter lately or else it was all the labor they had done that day.
“Well, it’s not a long story. I started hunting when I was sixteen. My parents kicked me out after they caught me with a guy - said they didn’t want a whore for a daughter. When I was out on the street one night, I got attacked by a vampire nest and kept in their lair for a week. Soon enough, a hunter came in and took the nest out single handedly, brought me to this little bar in the middle of nowhere - The Roadhouse.” She looked up at him, “You heard of it? Supposed to be a hunter’s safe haven.”
John avoided her eyes but nodded, “Yeah, Harvelle’s Roadhouse. Haven’t been there since Clinton was in office.”
“Anyway, the owner and her daughter took me in, gave me a job, a place to sleep.” She paused and smiled, “Now it’s dust. Destroyed. But I did find a family, two brothers. Fell in love with one of them.” When she looked back at John, he seemed like he had something to say.
“You alright, John?”
“Yeah...” He sighed, glancing up at her, “I just might feel bad about this later.”
She narrowed her eyes at him, “Wh-” Before she could finish the word, her world went black.

Shared Love
Good evening! It is almost the end of the day on 12/20 and in true Amanda fashion, I have let my poor time management skills get the best of me and here I am posting my submission for @little-diable writing challenge at the last minute. I deeply apologize for that :( So without further ado, here it is! I hope you enjoy!
I selected fluff and the prompt @little-diable gave me is bolded and italicized. Also make sure you check out her work because it is amazing!
Warnings: I think a total of one curse word. Fluffy Dean. Probably some errors that I missed in editing.
The Bunker was quiet. The type of quiet that was deafening. The only sounds being made came from you. The rhythmic inhaling and exhaling coupled with the flick of the page in your book as your turned it. You were engrossed in your book, the final part to a trilogy you’d been sucked into for the past month. When Sam or Dean couldn’t find you, they’d go to the library and find you sitting at the table, hunched over your book.
That’s where Dean found you again, your head bent over the pages, your fingers laced through your hair as your rest your head on them, elbows propped on the table. You heard Dean’s boots pounding the floor as he approached but you couldn’t be bothered. You were in deep.
“Whatcha reading?” Dean asked, sliding into the chair across from you with his laptop.
Without taking your eyes off the sentences you were soaking in, you lifted the book up off the table to face him. He mumbled the title, Emerald Green, to himself. He nodded and opened up his laptop, knowing that he shouldn’t bother you while you were engrossed in the story like you were.
You didn’t know how much time had passed. You could heard Dean clicking away on his laptop but it sounded like he was underwater, the sound being drowned out by your own thoughts and words on the pages. At one point, you let out a snort. A yeah, right sort of scoff.
“What?” Dean inquired.
For the first time you looked up at him, almost startled to hear his voice. “Oh, just this one sentence…” you trailed off.
“Read it to me.”
You glanced up at Dean not moving your neck from its bent position. “Alright… ‘hearts can’t be broken because they’re made of marzipan.’”
Dean furrowed his brow. “That’s not a particularly funny line. And what’s marzipan?”
“It’s something used in sweets. I’m allergic to almonds and it has those in it so I don’t know that much about it to be honest,” you explained.
Dean nodded. “And why did you find it funny?”
You sighed. How were you supposed to explain to Dean that you were kind of cynical when it came to broken hearts and love? That all you’ve felt in life in terms of love was always unrequited? Or how about the fact you were in love with him and you were positive that he didn’t feel the same way? You thought the line was funny because your heart was always broken. And you were allergic to almonds, you couldn’t even have had an unbreakable heart of marzipan if you wanted.
“I guess,” you started. “I guess I find it funny because… all I’ve ever experienced is heart break and unrequited love. I’ve fallen for guys that never loved me back.”
“I know that feeling” Dean stated and you couldn’t help yourself. You laughed. Just one short ha. It came out harsh and Dean glared at you. “Okay, that’s definitely not funny.”
“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to laugh. It’s just… have you seen you? You’re tall and handsome. Your smile is stupidly beautiful and your eyes? Holy fuck. They’re hypnotizing!” You blurted. You were surprised at yourself. You’d just confessed things that you’d kept secret a long while.
“Uh huh.. and how about the rest of me? I’m more than just my good looks.” Dean smirked at you.
It was now or never. Might as well rip the bandaid off right? Get the same ol’ storyline out of the way and move on with your life. “Well, you’re smart, kind, and caring. You’re loyal, you’re funny, you… you know exactly what to say to make me laugh when I need it the most.”
“It sounds like you’re in love with me,” Dean said.
“Maybe I am.” You shrugged. “Doesn’t matter though because I’m not exactly your type, am I?” The last part came out and left a bitterness in your mouth.
Dean closed his laptop, folded his arms and sat back in the chair. “And what exactly do you think “my type” is?”
“Hot. Victoria’s Secret models.”
Dean cocked a small smile and shook his head from side to side. “I actually don’t feel like I have a type. I like who I like. And I like you.”
“Oh, shut up.” You slammed your book shut and got up quickly, knocking the chair down. It clattered behind you, the sound making Dean jump. You quickly righted it and headed toward your room.
“Y/N, wait!” You heard Dean yell, then heard the scraping of the chair legs as he got up to chase you.
You slammed your door shut and not two seconds later, Dean was knocking on it.
“Go away, Dean,” you shouted through the door.
“Please, Y/N, open the door,” Dean pleased.
You heaved a sigh and flung your door open. Dean jolted back a little, surprised with the force of which you used. You crossed your arms and waited.
“Do you really think I’m lying?” He questioned you.
“Uh, yes. Of course I do,” you said through a laugh. “Someone like you does not like a person like me.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Dean spat, a little angry,
“Have you looked in the mirror lately? You’re handsome. And smart and all of those other things I said in the library. You’re the total, and perfect, package. You can have any girl you want.”
“And I want you.” Dean pushed you into your room and slammed the door behind him. He grabbed you and pulled you into a kiss. It was exactly how you had imagined a kiss with Dean would be; electric. He pulled back, breathing heavy. “Do you believe me now?”
“Umm… maybe. Can we do that again? Just so I can be sure?”
Dean rolled his eyes. “Funny.”
You pulled him back into a kiss and you felt Dean smile into it. “Yeah, okay. I believe you now.”

Truth or Cut (Dean Winchester x Reader x Sam Winchester)
Hello there! This my * very VERY * late submission to @dontshootmespence ‘s Alphabet Angst for 8k Challenge. I am incredibly sorry for this delay but I had to take a break away from Tumblr and social media in general in order to focus on my mental/physical health & other issues in my private life. Now I think I’m ready to return and create content again. As for the story, I hope you like it. This is my first attempt at a love triangle. Important: does not include Wincest so it’s safe to read for anyone who’s not into that. Also, I inserted a ‘Keep reading’ line, I hope it’s visible.
Summary: The British Men of Letters try a new approach to acquire the Winchesters’ cooperation, which leads to heartbreaking revelations.
Warnings: cursing, bloodshed, mentions of sex, character death
Word count: 2.750-ish
* Moodboard is mine, pictures used are not.
You gain consciousness to two male voices calling your name frantically.
“She’s opening her eyes, Sam! She’s alright… Look!” the hoarse baritone belonging to the elder Winchester reassures his brother a second after your eyelashes have started fluttering.
“Well, that’s the overstatement of the year, Dean… Let’s just say I’ll live.” you grumble once you fully come around. “What the hell?!”
Usually you’re more eloquent than that but at the moment it’s the best you can muster, considering that you’ve awakened in what appears to be an abandoned warehouse and all three of you are handcuffed to uncomfortable metal chairs organized in a neat triangle, facing each other. The only source of light are a few flickering candles placed on a table nearby.
“That’s what we’re trying to figure out, babe.” your long-term boyfriend Sam replies in a soothing tone.
His handsome face seems intact – minus a couple of scars he obtained in previous fights – so being ambushed is crossed off the list of possible explanations on what happened and how you got here. Maybe you were drugged? If yes… by whom? The things that go bump in the night prey upon their enemies and slash their throats open, not abduct them.
A heavy silence falls on the place, only the crackle of the candle flames can be heard.
You have no idea how much time has passed – it could’ve been an eternity as well as ten minutes – when suddenly a consecutive knocking sound fills your auditory canals.
“Are those… are those high heels?” you ask aloud incredulously.
“Louboutin’s to be exact, my dear.”
Every head snaps to the accent’s direction just in time to see an elegantly dressed slender woman step into the candle-lit area.
“But excuse my manners… talking about fashion before introducing myself? How rude of me. I’m Lady Toni Bevell on behalf of the British Men of Letters.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me!” Dean growls “You know, here in America no means no, Lady! We’ve already told your stupid little boyband to fuck off. We’re not here to do their bidding, we’re here to save lives.”
“So I’ve heard.” She nods in understanding. “But yet, we’d still like to gather some information, one way or another.”
She walks over to the table and unfolds a neatly wrapped package, revealing a knife. Suddenly, Sam’s sarcastic chuckle fills the place.
“And you think you can get us to spill by torturing? Seriously?”
A predatory smile spreads across Toni’s face as she casually picks up the weapon of her choice.
“I was thinking about playing a game that may involve torture. It’s up to you whether it does or does not.”
“What game?” you ask suspiciously.
“I’d like to call it Truth or Cut. Maybe Truth or Stab, depending on the importance of the information you intend to withhold. The rules are the following… I ask something and if you reply, that equals truth, and nothing will happen. If you do not wish to answer, just say cut and I’ll sink my knife into your flesh.”
“You’re crazy!” Sam exhales in disbelief.
“Thank you, Sam! I’m going to take that as a compliment. And since we are already engaged in a conversation, let’s start with you.” She walks to the center of the triangle to face the younger Winchester. “I’d like you to give me the names of American hunters you consider the best.”
Sam leans a bit forward, his face is unreadable.
“Bite me!” he hisses through gritted teeth. “I’m not gonna participate in your psychotic game. You can’t make me.”
Toni flashes a dangerous smile once more.
“Are you sure about that?”
She slowly walks behind your chair and places the blade under your right collar bone.
“If you refuse to pick either truth or cut, your loved ones will pay the price for it, big guy.”
Sam’s eyes search yours for confirmation of the next step and you nod.
“You’re bluffing.” He counters Toni.
The next second you feel the metal pressed against you slash into soft skin and you can’t suppress a loud grunt of pain. Blood starts oozing from the wound and your white tank top soon begins to acquire a shade of crimson.
The brothers yell ‘No!’ in unison, then Dean delivers an impressive selection of curse words – sneaking in some that were new even to you.
Toni strolls over to Sam.
“Now I ask again. Name the best American hunters you know.”
“Cut.” Sam responds in a tone just above whisper. He soundlessly flinches when the woman draws blood by sliding the blade across his left forearm.
“Alright… Who wants to be next? Perhaps Dean? List all the places where we can find extensive knowledge on the supernatural, not counting the Man of Letters safe houses of course.”
Dean’s gaze meets Toni’s and for a second you think you can see her confidence falter because of the deadly rage and utter disdain that radiates from the hunter, but she soon regains composure.
“So? Is it truth or cut, Dean? You know what will happen if you refuse to choose.”
“Cut!” he emphasizes the t at the end.
You’re next and you pick cut as well. Then the cycle starts all over again...
You’ve made three rounds without anyone breaking and giving Toni what she wants, which visibly annoys her.
“Let’s shake things up a bit by changing the topics, shall we?” she announces out of the blue, making all of you knit your brows.
Spinning around on her heels, she turns to Sam.
“Sam! Did you manage to decide where you want to propose to Y/N? In my personal opinion the place where you said your first I love you-s is more romantic than the place where you first met, but that’s just plain old me.”
Sam’s eyes widen in shock, reflecting your own facial expression.
“Sam? What is she talking about?” you question in a thin voice, perplexed.
A shy, boyish smile appears on his face as he looks deep into your eyes, reminding you of the very first time you’ve seen him.
“Uh, yeah. She’s right. Although I have no idea how she knows this, but I did indeed plan on proposing to you at one of those places, probably where we met… up until now. Now I have to come up with something else I guess.”
A mixture of emotions floods your heart, making you undecisive what to say first. You finally open your mouth to speak but before a sound can escape, Toni directs the next question to Dean.
“Alright, that was a truth, so no cuts. Now, Dean! I am certain she will not get offended so you can tell me honestly… Is Y/N a good kisser?”
“How would I know?” he asks back, lacking any hesitation. “I think you’re mistaking me with Sam, her boyfriend. You know, the tall guy whose proposal you’ve just ruined? Next time you play this game with someone, have your facts checked first, Suit pants.”
The confusion on Sam’s face slowly starts to fade away, but Toni presses on relentlessly.
“Oh, Dean... That was a very convincing performance! But, unfortunately for you, I did have my facts checked. And according to these facts, you and Y/N locked lips passionately just two years ago, in 2015. Isn’t that right, Y/N?”
Everybody’s eyes are on you waiting for your reaction, and you can’t help but reminisce about the event in question.
You were having a hard time finding the key for the motel room you were renting - courtesy of the bottle of bourbon you’d consumed earlier. All those keys on the chain looked the same and neither of them seemed to fit into the lock, let alone open the damn door… In addition to that, the world slowly started spinning and you had to prop yourself against the doorframe to prevent an ugly fall.
“Need a hand there, Sweetheart?”
Your heart skipped a beat from the scare but soon calmness washed over you as you identified the person. You could recognize that husky voice anywhere, intoxicated or not.
“Dean Winchester!” you exclaimed, turning around to find him leaning against your car you’d parked near the doorway. “The world’s deadliest hunter and mightiest panty dropper turned hell’s cruelest demon! To what do I owe this pleasure? Considering that you’ve gone out of your way to ignore both me and Sam in the past couple of months.”
He leisurely pushed himself from the car and started walking towards you.
“I needed a breath of fresh air, that’s all. But speaking of whom… where’s Sam?”
He almost left no distance between your bodies when he finally stopped. What was he doing? If he wanted to kill you, he probably would’ve done it already…
“I don’t know. Why don’t you give him a call, huh? Ask him how he’s doing? You could make him the happiest man alive…” you replied with a bitter undertone.
A shit-eating grin formed on Dean’s handsome face.
“Uh-oh. Is there trouble in paradise?”
“Shut it, Dean! It’s really none of your business.” You said, crossing your arms and averting your gaze.
His comment hit a nerve – you both knew that – but the last thing on Earth you wanted to do was discussing your relationship crisis with him. If you still had a relationship, that is.
To much of your surprise, the next second he grabbed your chin, forcing you to look at him and pressed his lips against yours. It felt terribly wrong but incredibly right at the same time… It took you half a minute to gather all your willpower and push him away.
“Y/N? Is it true?” Sam’s voice brings you back to reality.
Tears start dwelling up in your eyes, providing a wordless answer. He swallows hard.
“Why?”
“It’s all my fault, okay?” Dean speaks up as you’re clearly unable to form a coherent sentence. “I kissed her, man. It happened when I was a demon… I figured if I kissed her, I’d piss you off enough to leave me alone. Besides, she was totally hammered and still pushed me away.”
“Is that supposed to make me feel better, Dean?!”
“I don’t know… a little, maybe?”
Sam scoffs then all of a sudden realization hits him.
“You didn’t answer the question.”
“What?”
“Is my girlfriend a good kisser?”
Both you and Dean stare at him in shock.
“C’mon man, you can’t seriously want me to answer that…” Dean attempts to change the subject but doesn’t succeed. Sam’s stare makes it obvious he won’t let this one slide. He won’t let go until he hears the truth no matter how unpleasant it may be.
“Yes.” Dean blurts out. “She’s a good kisser. In fact, she’s one of the best kissers I’ve ever encountered in my entire life. Happy now?”
The only response is a nod.
“Oh wow…” Toni lets out an excited sigh. “Changing the topic was the best idea ever, don’t you agree? Now, let’s move on to Y/N. She’ll get the most interesting question in my repertoire.”
She slowly walks over to you, her Louboutin’s menacingly tap against the concrete every step of the way. She crouches down, tucks a strand of hair behind your ear and asks the most ruthless question in the sweetest voice.
“Which one of the Winchester brothers is better in bed?”
The tears you’ve been holding back for quite some time now break free and roll down your cheeks swiftly.
“I mean, it’s not entirely true what Dean said, now is it? You did push him away but then you pulled him back...”
Complete silence ensues and you swear you can hear three hearts break if you listen closely.
You were standing there more confused than ever. What the hell was Dean doing?! Was this a long time coming or was he playing some sort of a game? Either way… If you were sober, you most certainly would’ve punched him in the mouth. But due to your condition – or at least that’s what you’ve been telling yourself ever since – you pulled him back and kissed him there instead. The part of how you got inside the room was a blur, but soon enough you found yourself tangled up with him in the sheets. Torn clothes peppered the floor, a smell of bourbon lingered in the air and Dean treated you as if you were the single, most important person in the entire universe. You truly thought you’d never been happier – then came the morning and shattered everything to a thousand pieces.
“You know, to encourage picking truth regarding this question, I am going to tell you something you yourself may not even be aware of, Y/N.” Toni breaks the silence. “There is something else that’s not true in what Dean said. He did not spend that night with you just to piss Sam off… He’s been attracted to you ever since you’ve met and being a demon allowed him to shamelessly do something about it.”
You whisper ‘Cut’ as a reply and Toni’s face hardens.
“Oh, honey… withholding this information is worth a stab.”
Before you can comprehend her words, she swings the knife and it ends up in your right thigh. You don’t think you’ve ever seen this much blood come from a stab wound… Both Winchester men yell in protest, but their voices become distant as you slowly slip into unconsciousness.
Mary and Castiel tracked down your location and arrived just in time. You almost bled to death, but the angel managed to heal the wound. For a while you wished he didn’t.
Three weeks later you’re sitting in your car at an abandoned gas station. About fifteen minutes after your arrival, a black SUV parks near you. You limp to the vehicle and tear its door open, barely containing your fury.
“What the fuck was that, Toni?!” you question while getting in and pointing a gun at her.
She glances at the weapon then looks you in the eye.
“Is that necessary?”
You cock the gun in response.
“Alright. So, as you know, the management decided that you delivering information to us about the Winchesters is not enough anymore.”
“Yes, that’s why you’ve contacted them directly, I know.”
“Correct. But since they refused to cooperate, the management came up with a plan of disrupting their unity. This way it’s just a matter of time and one of them will be knocking on our door. I suspect it will be Sam.”
A bitter laugh escapes you lips.
“So that’s what this was? A disruption of unity? Really?! And why didn’t I know of this, huh?”
“We needed your reactions to be genuine.”
“God, you’re a bunch of psychopaths… You know what, I’m not gonna do this anymore. I quit.”
She lets out a loud scoff.
“Please… what are you going to tell them? Furthermore, how do you think they will react when they learn that the love of their lives is a snitch?”
You let your gun down.
“I’ll make sure they know why I became a snitch... I’ll make sure they know how I made a crossroad’s deal years ago to save them both. I’ll make sure they know how you offered to delay the hellhounds in exchange for some information every now and then. I have no idea how they’ll react, but maybe someday they’ll understand and find it in their hearts to forgive me.”
Toni stares daggers at you.
“I suggest you think this through carefully, Y/N, as we still hold your deal. One bad move and the hellhounds will come and get you. No more delaying.”
You flash her the biggest smile you can summon.
“Well, it’s been a while since the last time I played with puppies from the pit… I think I’m ready.”
Not waiting for her reaction, you get out of the car and start limping back to yours. By the time you get in, Toni is gone.
You’re all alone.
Well, not entirely alone to be fair.
The grumbling hellhounds in your backseat keep you company.
You take your phone out of your pocket avoiding any sudden movements and type a quick message to the Winchesters:
‘My nightstand, second drawer.’
Toni thought she could prevent you from exposing the truth by taking action quickly, but she wasn’t paying attention. You never said you were gonna tell them everything. You said you would make sure they know. And the detailed farewell letters you left for them in your drawer will serve the purpose well.
