I may have caught another cold, BUT- I also went up a weight on the pull up machine 😤😁
#im only making it in 2-3 times a week bc Ive been unwell lately#but thats progress!#im almost at putting weights on the deadlift bar too#vessel talk#(im about a 1/3rd to my goal of being able to do a pull up! and i like how my shoulders are looking)#(im mainly working on grip strength right now- i wanna be able to do a deadhang at my weight)#(thats like a first step)#(ill also admit that im mainly wieght training my upper body- my legs get enough with me just being A Big Boy™️ and going for jogs)

I've heard some people say Bilbo was quite rude in this movie...
Do you find this to be true?
We skip over Beorn- the eagles take them directly to Mirkwood.

I actually find the spiders really cute! They have actual eyebrows (sort of) which is more than I can say for some of the character designs *cough* Thranduil *cough* Bilbo *cough* the dwarves here. Are the enemies supposed to be cute??? I gUEsS ok so maybe I can't take it as a serious threat...
"He has no eyebrows. he's had no eyebrows this entire time but I didn't notice because I keep staring at the weird overdone shine in his eyes."

do you have any tips/suggestions for bodyweight workouts for those of us without acces to weights/ a gym?
a doorframe pullup bar is only around $20 and you can do quite a bit with it (despite its name it's versatile for more than just pullups!), I keep one on my bedroom door. if ur unable to do a pullup/chinup you can modify it with resistance bands (p cheap too at around $10-30) or begin with deadhangs/negative pullups (research proper form or you'll fuck up your tendons). I also see people working out at my local playground during after hours to do bodyweight calisthenics on the bars lol
I would research calisthenics routines too and I've seen people get pretty damn shredded doing those with minimal weights. there's other options like power yoga/pilates with plenty of routines on YouTube. as long as you stay consistent and track your progress anything will work great.
I kinda get bored with most bodyweight exercises tbh bc I enjoy the heavy exertion you get right off the bat with lifting, so I can't give a super in-depth answer sry :(

That poor guy with hypermobile shoulders. This was NOT the right opening challenge for him. I'm honestly surprised that some people thought he had an advantage for that one bc he obviously can't risk doing things like hangs for too long without dislocation.
Started watching physical 100 and tbh I think they chose a lot of women bc they're pretty rather than fit or jacked bc there aren't many jacked women there. I understand the need for variety irt things like mobility and dexterity but still
#mine arent as bad as his but i still struggle with deadhangs bc of my scapulae#and the sockets#i can do pullups and hangs#but not deadhangs bc i need to train my surrounding muscles more to make up for the looseness in my joint and elasticity of my tendons#i would dislocate my shoulder on that tbh#or not#but still#also kudos to the chick wearing acrylics and hoops#she came to slay#cant believe the one heavy guy stayed up as long as he did#kudos to him as well

Day 47
I can't help but feel alone sometimes, most days harder than the other. Today is one of those hard days. Making plans sucks sometimes, not everyone is free, I get called out unintentionally, and at the end of the day I'm the one that gets left out. I'm trying really hard to not take things personally, but at the same time there's a reason why I only talk to maybe 5 people on a consistent basis. We all have our struggles but at the end of the day it's just me passing out in my bed, consciously or until my body gives up on staying awake. Despite all the BS, the feelings of inadequacy, I'm still going to look forward to it all.
