Happy Birthday Riso! (uwah, it's supposed to be 7/31 but I'm so so late) 🎂🎉🎁
Anyway, you've been pretty interested in ddEmmet lately, so I thought this might be the perfect opportunity to give you what you want! I hope you enjoy! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
This takes place shortly after ddEmmet escapes his universe, falling into the Normal AU universe via a portal.
Title: A New Start Word count: 2,222 Synopsis: Emmet from the Dead Dove AU has escaped his universe and found himself in the Normal AU. Due to his experiences, Nobori makes him extremely nervous. But will he have to continue feeling such fear? Dynamic: KudaNoboEmmet
Nobori had gone through life with absolute certainty that he had everything he could have ever wanted. At only 27, he had the job of his childhood dreams, wonderful pokémon companions, and excellent employees that he considered to be friends. Most importantly, the love of his life was by his side throughout all of it.
Early on, he and Kudari had realized the depth of their feelings for each other, although they did stumble somewhat clumsily through their early teens around the obvious. They confessed at the same time, pausing in surprise before hugging each other in relief that they'd once again matched each other.
They were a two-car train, and Nobori had long thought that's how they would stay. But that was before a strange occurrence happened in their Subway which changed the tracks upon which their train traveled.
Their shifts were always pretty busy with challengers coming to attempt a win against the Subway Masters. Kudari was extra excited that day - he'd seen several trainers at his last challenge that day. No one had managed to best him, but many of them had been on Kudari's radar lately and he was thrilled to see their improvement. As Kudari happily talked about who he thought would finally beat him first, they were making casual rounds through the Subway. It let them check on their agents, make an appearance amongst the regular travelers, and generally stretch their legs.
However, they spotted an Agent hesitating by a restroom that wasn't frequently used by the passengers - it was too far out of the way to see much in the way of traffic. Asking what was going on gained them the answer that a strange unidentifiable sound had been heard, only to be followed by choked sobbing. The agent was in the process of encouraging himself to step inside; if someone was hurt, he needed to help, but it could just as likely be a strange, dangerous pokémon.
Kudari didn't need any more details after the word 'sobbing.' He stepped past the agent without pause, large steps quickly taking him inside. Nobori dismissed the agent with an encouraging word, and followed Kudari in. The confused stiffness of his twin's shoulders as he stood at the doorway of one of the bathroom stalls had Nobori peeking past him.
There, huddled on the floor and completely without clothes, was a young man who looked nearly identical to Kudari. If Nobori had been alone, he would have confused them for the briefest moment until he noticed all the little differences that starkly contrasted his brother from this scared and shaking man in front of him. His brother never looked this harrowed, for example, as though he were tired beyond measure. Not that he let his gaze linger, but he spotted various markings on the man's bared skin; amongst the abrasions and bruises there were also what seemed to be tattoos.
When Nobori's presence was noticed, however, the young man's eyes widened and he hyperventilated himself into passing out. It froze Nobori in place. Nobori knew some people thought he was stern - but that had been the first time anyone had looked *scared* of him. Thankfully, his twin was quick to act, and Kudari's call of "Nobori!" snapped him out of his stupor.
A short hospital stay later, the young man agreed to stay with Nobori and Kudari in their home; though he didn't talk much, it seemed to be accepted as the only option he had. They brought some of their own clothes for him, which fit him perfectly. After he changed out of his hospital gown and into an outfit that mixed black and white, he said his name was Emmet. He knew his way around Raimon, trailing after the two of them as if it was expected of him. Even though he looked longingly at the various display foods in restaurants they passed, he softly denied any offers to grab something for him. It was difficult for Nobori to not give someone who looked like Kudari everything they wanted, but it was also rude to insist. The walk to their home felt longer than ever before, and Kudari carried the conversation the entire way.
For the first few months, not much of their normal life changed. Emmet did everything he could to be unobtrusive. Except for meals, he spent much of his time in the guest room they set up for him. Emmet's relationship with the pokémon was confusing; interactions with them were mechanical, but he was immensely knowledgeable of all their partners food, health, and wellness needs. He offered to do the chores while they were at work; when Nobori and Kudari insisted he should focus on his recovery, his simple answer of 'I still need to be useful' worried Nobori to his very core.
Questions asked of Emmet by Kudari gained a gentle, timid answer; when Nobori would offer the same type of query, Emmet stammered out quick, self-sacrificing responses. Even with matters as trivial as asking for suggestions for dinner were met with a desperate need to answer with whatever would please Nobori. Kudari even confirmed that it wasn't such a way when he was alone with Emmet. It was as though Emmet wanted to avoid upsetting Nobori at all costs. Nobori himself didn't want to upset anyone, especially not someone who looked almost identical to his twin.
Curious, too, was how Nobori noticed Emmet sneaking peeks at him. If Nobori was alone in the living room, the feeling of eyes drew his attention to the hallway, only to catch Emmet dipping back into his room. Shy, or maybe nervous, glances up through his eyelashes when Emmet would join them for meals at the dining room table. More than once, Emmet had settled himself on the floor near Nobori's legs, expectant look in his wide, silvered eyes. Emmet's confusion with Nobori's inaction was mirrored by Nobori's confusion on what was expected of him.
One day, Nobori and Kudari had a split shift which left Nobori at home during the day. Thinking he could bond with Emmet over food, he began to make them a lunch with foods that usually cheered Kudari up right away. Not long into his preparation, he felt eyes on his back. Making sure to be as casual as possible, he smiled over his shoulder at the shy man peeking out from behind the kitchen doorway. Asking if Emmet would like to help, a relief warmed Nobori's chest when Emmet nodded and stepped into the kitchen fully. Although Emmet stayed mostly quiet through it all, they made the food together, and shared a pleasant lunch.
It was the first time he and Emmet felt like twins; despite sharing Kudari's face, Emmet felt as though he wasn't quite sure how to be a twin. Nobori wasn't sure what made him think such a thing - up until a few months ago, they were complete strangers. Perhaps he'd just always expected an inherent connection with his twin, and to feel that lacking in a man who was identical to Kudari challenged what he'd always known.
But, he felt the lunch had been a good start. Hopefully, Emmet would find comfort in being around them and be less hesitant to share his needs. With that in mind, Nobori very excitedly told Kudari of his shared lunch with Emmet when his twin came home.
--~~*~~--
When Emmet had dragged himself through the portal, he had no idea what he would find or that he would even survive it. But, it was an improvement either way, because something within him knew he was not going to survive where he was. And so, he'd fallen through, hoping against hope that he could be free.
Finding himself once again in the Battle Subway, he felt the hiccup holding back his tears escape his throat, interrupted only when someone with his own face (and white clothes) stared back at him. The moment of confusion was shattered when his brother peeked over the shoulder of Himself, and everything went black.
The realization that it was not actually his brother came when he awoke in the hospital. The person was Nobori, not Ingo, and the Him he saw was Kudari. Still, they looked almost exactly like he and his brother, though Ingo's gaze was more neutral and less like a glare.
But that could be a farce.
How many times had others believed in Ingo? How many times was he ignored because Ingo's natural expression was a frown and everyone knew it? He himself had been fooled. Thinking that maybe *maybe* this time his brother would be kind for once.
The soft tones that Nobori tried to use were sweet but what was hidden behind it? Did Kudari believe him? Was Kudari safe? Kudari's smile seemed real. Kudari chatted happily with him and Nobori and never held back his words. Kudari was firm with Nobori sometimes. They discussed things and shared input. Kudari easily held Nobori's hand - it was not forcefully taken.
But it could still be a farce.
He took to watching Nobori when he could. Most of the time, Nobori would try to smile to him, and invite him to join whatever he was doing. Nobori offered sweets and attention and kind words. He gently helped Kudari take care of their pokémon, and laughed along with his brother. Chores were shared, when Emmet himself did not complete them, and never was Emmet even expected to contribute.
Nobori never touched him without asking, inappropriately or otherwise. Nobori did not regiment his day or restrict what foods he could eat. Nobori did not take advantage of Emmet sleeping, or when he was not feeling well. Nobori's concern for him felt sincere, but he struggled to accept it was real. Nobori looked confused at him anytime he offered himself to him - his certainty that Nobori would try and gobble him up just like Ingo seemed to take the man by surprise.
But it could still be a farce.
Trust in Kudari was easier - they had the exact same face, the same smile though Kudari's was brighter. Emmet felt a strange connection to Kudari, as though he were looking at himself. When Nobori would ask something of him, checking Kudari for approval helped navigate conversations. Taking Kudari's hand felt safer.
Kudari's smile made him feel... happy. And soon, with Kudari's assurance allowed him to believe that he could trust Nobori too. That Nobori would not try to hurt him. That Nobori was good and kind and Kudari loved him with all of his heart. Nobori was his strong and brave older twin, and Kudari trusted him with no question.
It was strange, but welcome. Emmet wanted to trust Nobori, and with Kudari there, he could try.
And then, Kudari said he had a good idea.
--~~*~~--
Emmet was scared of Nobori. Kudari thought that was verrrry surprising. After all Nobori was definitely not scary. Nobori liked bad puns and cheering people on. Nobori took his coffee so full of cream and sugar that it might as well not be called coffee. Nobori cried in joy when Chandelure made an especially cute sound. How could that be scary?
But. Emmet was still scared.
He didn't want to talk about it but Kudari was patient. After months and months, Emmet finally admitted that he wanted to trust Nobori even though he was scared. And of course Kudari would help! He didn't want anyone to be afraid of his older brother. And Nobori was so sad every time he talked of Emmet shrinking back from him. The enthusiasm Nobori showed when Emmet actually made and ate lunch with him was sweet. It was proof that Emmet was ready to move forward on the tracks.
Kudari wanted to form a harmony between his brother and Emmet.
So he decided on an excellent strategy! It took a little set up but Kudari was determined. The concept was simple. Kudari and Nobori would go to bed like normal. After Nobori fell asleep, he would get out of bed and switch places with Emmet. Kudari knew it would be lonely without Nobori in the spare bedroom. But he could manage it for one night. And if Emmet could switch back if he wanted to at any point.
In the end, Emmet did not switch back until early in the morning before Nobori woke up. He worried that if he stayed longer Nobori would notice. It was probably true! But Nobori didn't seem to notice. Nobori's soft, sleepy smile upon seeing Kudari as he woke up was normal. He gave Kudari a good morning kiss like normal before they sat up in bed. Nobori stretched and suggested breakfast like normal. His enthusiastic "Good morning!" to both Kudari and Emmet was normal.
But this time, Emmet returned the good morning with just as much fervor. Kudari smiled into his morning protein shake as Nobori noticeably perked up. Encouraged, Nobori began to talk excitedly with Emmet as he continued to make breakfast. In fact, Nobori talked with Emmet even through eating breakfast too. Watching them both, Kudari thought it was good that he planned this for the weekend. Otherwise, Nobori would have talked until they were late for work.
And this time, Emmet was more than happy to reply.

Submastober Day 31!
Inspiration: There's an older OC-tober prompt-list here that I am using.
Title: Powerful Prompt: Free Choice! ( Death Train AU - request by the ever excellent @glassesblu. For those unaware of the dead dove AU, it started as a thought experiment due to the prevalence of yandere!Emmet at the time. It has since expanded and combined into one large AU by the name of Death Train AU. ) Word count: 1006 Synopsis: This takes place early in ddIngo's redemption arc, when ddEmmet is finally willing to accept the idea that he and ddIngo can interact.
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~
It wasn't supposed to be this hard.
Ingo and Emmet were a legendary team, equal halves of a two-car train. No one could defeat their teamwork, though they openly encouraged anyone who sought to try. They were in perfect sync, but willing to discuss any difference of opinions they had. It was unrealistic to expect every day to be perfect, but they could get through any trouble together.
He could say that now, but it was far from the reality that he had lived in what he considered his 'first life.' To be fair, he had no definitive knowledge that he hadn't experienced lives before it, but it was as far back as he was capable of remembering. It was definitely noteworthy, in all the wrong ways. Even now, his stomach clenched so hard with anxiety he thought he might be sick.
His first brother, the one he'd sworn to forget, had been interacting with his new brother. They were both named Ingo, but he had been working hard on removing any association in his mind with the first one to that name. Only the second one was his beloved older brother, his twin who was by his side with unconditional support. He could hear his voice without wincing, turn his brightest smile to him, and know things were going to work out okay.
But. While at first Ingo had been rightfully wary of the Other Ingo, slowly but surely his distrust and scorn had started to fade. It was almost as if they were starting to get along.
Emmet's eyebrows furrowed, a simmering feeling of discontent in his chest just barely overwhelming his jitters. He had never before felt jealous of his brother turning his attention towards anyone else - Ingo could be friends with whoever he wished! Emmet trusted him, knew they would be together forever no matter who else Ingo got along with. And it wasn't as though they always had to be together either. Ingo was strong and capable and able to take care of himself.
But the Other Ingo… surely this was a manipulation tactic just as in their first life. Back then, no one believed Emmet when he said that Other Ingo couldn't be trusted, that he was by default deceptive. Other Ingo had been excellent at lying, convincing everyone that he had Emmet's best interest at heart. They battled challengers every day on the subway, rewarding winners with BP, and encouraging words for everyone else. Even the agents barely noticed anything amiss; though, Emmet had realized when he'd escaped that the Agents of his original life were somehow not the Agents he'd encountered in the world he had found himself in. To the people of his original life, he was just a bit clumsy, a little absent-minded, and 'too excited to battle' to get proper sleep.
Emmet huffed in frustration as he remembered all the excuses everyone had been given to explain away his terrible health and physical condition.
Now, he was healthy in every life he experienced with his Ingo. He was happy and well rested and able to have friends and-! Eventually, the fear that Other Ingo would appear had faded. He no longer looked over his shoulder expecting to be followed, he could live a life where he was a Subway Boss again without flashes of horrific memory causing him hesitation.
But then-! But then!!! He showed up one day, sharp eyes watching Emmet even when he interacted with Ingo. The gaze was almost mocking, as if to say “I can get as close to you as I want, and no one will stop me.” Panic had overwhelmed Emmet the first time he had seen him in close proximity to Ingo. His older brother must have thought him weak and embarrassing. So Emmet had held himself together, swallowing his wish to yell at Other Ingo to go away! He didn't want to beg to be left alone, because he knew Other Ingo wouldn't allow it.
'Somehow,' he thought with a tangled mixture of frustration, annoyance and dread, 'I have been tricked into speaking with him.
The first attempt had gone poorly, as expected. In fact, Emmet had learned enough self-worth to walk out of the special room the Train had provided them when Other Ingo started to say inappropriate things. He'd held his composure, and firmly left without allowing Other Ingo to trick him into reducing his boundaries. It had felt powerful in the moment, but he'd been reduced to choked tears right after leaving, falling into his brother's embrace the moment he saw him.
Despite that, he'd agreed to another meeting, now with the added rule that he was free to leave the moment he decided he didn't want to be there any more. If Other Ingo said the wrong thing, if his fear swelled, if he just decided he would rather be doing something more interesting… It didn't matter, he was free to leave. Any future meetings they had would also be scheduled in advance, and Emmet had the right to cancel if he wanted to without a complaint from Other Ingo.
It had been agreed upon, something Emmet had not expected. But now, he waited on a seat that looked identical to the ones on the Subway in their lives, staring at the door he was to enter for the meeting. And again, he was barely holding back his shaking, trying to convince himself it was a good idea.
He was Emmet. He was strong. He was in control here. He had to face this, or else his past would always linger in the shadows.
Reminding himself of how far he'd come, he stood up and his clothes changed to the altered Subway Master suits he and his Ingo wore. At their core, it was very similar to the one he had worn with Other Ingo, still white and long, striped and crisp. But he felt powerful in this new outfit. He felt like a true Subway Master.
And he would not run.

Do AUs count for character bingo? DDIngo!
Haha! Yes! They can absolutely count! (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ) Thank you for asking!! I will now inundate you with information about him (〜 ̄▽ ̄)〜
*-ddIngo/Dead Dove AU Ingo-*
Oooh! Hurrah and hurray! ddIngo got a bingo! with a little alteration
There was a very real chance that I might never have talked about ddIngo ever, so thank you Riso for helping me expand him!
ddIngo is a probably one of my most detailed characters, and he's got an entire character arc! He's both my cherished little lad in my hand and my squeaky toy!
Riso and I were openly calling him a bastard when I first created him. The Death Train AU expanded because we, at first, decided that he had his Emmet-privelege completely revoked and was probably never going to get it back! He'd been too terrible to his Emmet, too terrible to the Emmets he came across while hunting his Emmet down, and was too stubborn to change his ways.
I changed it to "I am so mean smh" because no one is meaner to him than I was 🤭 He was thrown in a jar and shaken around all over the place. I actually had a bad end for him in mind in a few different places. First was when he passed out before arriving on the train, then again when he jumped off the train.
The last bad end (in the timeline) was pretty tragic, and I hit Riso with it soooo early in the morning (I thought of it on my drive to work). The essentials of it were this: ddIngo had begun to despair despite how hard he was working towards turning over a new leaf. He was a wonderful father to Yakou and was trying to be a good brother to Mermmet in their incarnations. However, he felt the train continued to punish him, putting him through rougher than necessary situations, separating him and Mermmet in their lives together via Hisui over and over, and never seeming to reward his behavior. Combine this with his identity crisis (uncertain if he was even an Ingo in the first place) and the clawing emptiness in his chest, and he decided that he couldn't keep the fight going. His last goodbye, as the train let go his soul into the abyss, was to bring Yakou and Mermmet together on the train because they were both so important to him. He would fade away, happy that his last moments were spent with them.
ANYWAY.
That didn't happen and now he's a silly, horny guy who's in a poly relationship with Wife Ingo and Mermmet, and maybe possibly slowly ddEmmet.
(and you guys might have noticed there's a zoroark version of him floating around now.)
Because he was originally intended for dead dove topics, he's still used to explore things that are dead dove that I am interested in ( ̄y▽, ̄)╭ He's softer now, but he's still into trying intense sexual kinks and the like.

Various stuff for Death Train AU (except for the top one which is from Normal AU)
A lot of this AU wouldn’t have been here without
@belltrigger
!
This one features Normal AU Ingo, NAU Emmet, and Dead Dove Emmet in a cuddle pile
This is Dead Dove Ingo when he becomes an old man in Hisui
Wife Ingo (from Mermaid Emmet AU) and DDIngo, in a scene where I make them begrudging besties XD
Wife Ingo and DDIngo are just the funniest guys as the saltiest Ingos
DDEmmet and DDIngo in some kind of dream meeting (perhaps orchestrated by the Death Train? WhoOOoOoO). DDEmmet just thinks this is just some random Old man Ingo, and DDIngo doesn’t know who Emmet really is). DDEmmet vents angrily about his first terrible life.
Hisui DDIngo comforting DDEmmet. DDEmmet is upset that every other Ingo he has met has been a kind and compassionate Ingo, not like his first brother.

What’s the last thing DD Ingo and DD Emmet see before they pass on?
Anon, cutting to the chase, huh? Ehehe, I understand! I'm quite slow on the post about them, but you keep seeing neat tidbits from @glassesblu! Riso draws such great pictures of the Train AU which includes rude!man ddIngo and ddEmmet. Hopefully, I'll be able to draw them soon.
I'll give you your answer (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧ But! I'm gonna put it under a readmore for anyone who doesn't want to be spoiled yet! If you wanna see how they finish out their life, keep reading! If you wanna save this for later, feel free to come back after my Dead Dove AU post is finished!
So, ddEmmet first. The big spoiler for him is that he actually escapes to a different universe. He's actually with loved ones when he passes, and is quite peaceful. He's lived with people who helped him heal, loved him, and ended up having a very wonderful life. The stressors of his younger life wear him out much faster, so he doesn't outlive them - but he's happy and fulfilled.
ddIngo. Well, jokes on everyone because he doesn't get such a peaceful death, nor does he actually die all that soon. This bastard of a man survives universe hopping, endless wandering through a limitless void, only to die in Hisui during his first reincarnation with Mermmet. An old man, gruff and stern but concerned with safety of those in Hisui. He's lost his memories like most Hisui Ingo, but he's more stern and stoic than most Ingo. Still, the last thing he sees is the wavering image of a man in white he's chased into a deadly dangerous blizzard.

Im so happy you’re able to share this AU, bravo!!! It’s a cool AU and an interesting exploration on Dark Ingo and I think you did a cool job thinking of his motivations and actions and how the AU came to be :triumph:
I think it’s a real funny thing we both came up with horny DD AUs then we shared them with each other at around the same time, and then somehow after a long journey we end up combining them into a sort of drama filled relationship and redemption au :covering_face_with_hand:
But yeah to those wondering, Dead Dove Ingo has tried out a lot of Dead Dove kinks on DDEmmet, so imagine what you want I suppose! He’s probably just tried out some, and found it too much of a hassle or the experience wasn’t appealing, but a lot he would have found interesting and would want to try again. The reason why these were his interests but he was making DDEmmet experience them, because he honestly thought that the pleasure he got from watching was similar to the stimulation Emmet was experiencing (with his belief that their bodies were connected, and that Emmet was simply an extension of himself.)
Even with his character development on the horizon, DDIngo is a pleasure seeker. In Dead Dove AU, he is pretty relentless in getting what he wants. He’s perfectly capable of being presentable and polite to the public, but he can be possessive, a bit biting in commentary if he wants to be a little shit, and sometimes toys with peoples emotions because he wants to get a rise out of them. (He’s basically all of this at wife Ingo when they first meet, and a lot of his core personality doesn’t change because that’s who he is. What changes are his motivations and his understanding of those around him. And new depth in his relationships)
feel free to ask some questions about DDAU to me! (I love DDINgo and DDEmmet honestly.) (I have also turned on Anon again)
Though more horny type questions inquiring about some of the sexual aspects might be better directed at Suoh!
Tell us more about dead dove au!
Hello dear Anon! I'm sorry for waiting so long to talk to you about this! To be quite honest, I felt kind of unsightly about my dead dove AU! It didn't have much of a story, simply an AU where I could try out any dd content that might have intrigued me. Ingo was not the kind, gentle soul he is in canon or any of my other AUs, including the ones I collaborate on.
I was hesitant to talk to anyone about it, and I'm still pretty anxious about how it will be received, even now.
However,@glassesblu is the literal best, and he talked steadily with me about the AU over time, and *now* there is so much more to it. I'm going to cut here, since this will definitely get long. Because Tumblr, I won't be discussing the dd parts in great detail. But, as you can imagine from that tag, I will mention things including dub-con, non-con, and other things of that nature.
Apologies, but no-one under 18, please!
The original thought process for this AU started in response to all of the Yandere Emmets out there. I thought it might be interesting to have an Ingo that considers Emmet so much a part of himself that he doesn't recognize any boundary between them. This is Emmet and Emmet is an extension of him, and he wants to try things so Emmet will try them. To him, because they are twins, they were originally one person - it should not hinder their life now, just because they got forcibly split into two bodies. They are One.
Ingo started out pretty normally. When they were very little, he and Emmet were always together; Ingo instigated holding Emmet's hand, and Emmet seemed to reciprocate wanting to be close. They didn't play with other children without each other, but had no trouble interacting with others as long as they were side by side. Emmet was more likely to seek others out, but Ingo never complained about it. They shared their toys, and insisted on dressing as alike as possible. Even their starter pokémon were shared between them- they still had two, but both pokémon were theirs. No one really questioned it - they were twins and twins are 'just like that' was the general consensus.
But Ingo was always watching Emmet, even as they played side by side.
Now, something to understand is that in this AU, Emmet is an empath. He legitimately feels the emotions of others - when he and Ingo are so close all the time, he naturally connects to the feelings of his twin brother. As such, he would cry with worry when Ingo was hurt, and laugh so sweetly when Ingo was happy. He would stress himself out over Ingo being sick so much that he would, in turn, get sick as well. He went along with things that Ingo liked to do, because when Ingo was happy, he could feel that happiness! It was nice, and he knew when to cheer up Ingo, because he would feel sad too.
Unfortunately, all of this only further succeeding in proving to Ingo that he and Emmet were one person split into two. His confirmation bias took all evidence given to him and twisted it to his own view. Ingo saw it as he wanted to see it; instead of them having a strong enough bond that allowed them to be this close, Emmet's feelings were literally his feelings. Emmet displayed tears when he was hurt because it hurt. Emmet smiled when he was happy because they were one person who was happy.
When they were in their mid-teens, Ingo had his sexual awakening, with his hormones igniting his awareness of urges in general as well as towards his twin. For the first few years, he took care of things himself in the privacy of their room. It wasn't long before he sought out his brother, but instead of doing it properly, he would instead touch him during the night when he was still sleeping. Because he was doing his best to avoid waking Emmet, it was some time before Emmet even realized what was going on. It never went beyond touching Emmet, besides using his twin's hand on himself, but Ingo definitely thought about it many times.
Eventually, Ingo did bring it all up to his brother, and used their closeness to draw Emmet into doing things. To be fair, Emmet was open to such a progression of their relationship, because he and Ingo had been together for their entire life. It made sense that they would only get closer the older they got. He doesn't realize the level of Ingo's obsession towards him, or how his twin has come to see him. At this time, he thinks there's a reciprocated affection and gentleness between them, and that his older brother has fallen in love with him. Emmet doesn't have much time to consider his own thoughts on how he feels before Ingo takes his agreement to heart. Of course, Ingo didn't expect anything different. They were one and the same, and if he thought it was a good idea, naturally Emmet would too. He got more and more bold, wanting to experiment with more and more things as the excitement of more mundane things wore off. Much of the time, Emmet was the one who had to experience the things that Ingo wanted to try.
This is where the true problems started. When Ingo wanted to try something, he did not take no for an answer. As a note to the original use for this AU, during this time pretty much anything goes. Over-stim, electro-stim, and orgasm denial were some of the more mild things that happened. It escalated to a few situations involving others, without Emmet's knowledge or consent. Everything was meticulously controlled and curated- the other men involved were not just pulled off the street and given the go-ahead. Ingo rigorously investigated all of them, insured they had no transmittable issues, and strictly enforced particular situations that they agreed to be a part of. Nothing happens that Ingo is not aware of.
The only thing missing was informing Emmet, but this was not a concern. After all, Ingo knew. And to him, at that time, that was all that was necessary.
In short, Emmet did not like any of these scenarios. The first (and only) group encounter distressed him to such a great level that he cried intensely, causing Ingo to step in and stop the entire scenario. Unfortunately, the only changes that came out of this was Ingo developing an aversion to crying, and deciding to not do anymore group scenarios due to it being too difficult to control.
Emmet struggles to put a stop to this happening, both because there are legitimately things that he would enjoy if he were being treated as a partner, and because Ingo is quite manipulative. Ingo knows just how to stimulate him, and he finds himself aroused in many of the situations. However, the feelings conflict with how violated he feels - some things are too much, he can't say refuse, nor direct anything to make him enjoy it more.
You may have seen in Riso's art that Emmet has a chunk out of his ear. This was from when one of his earrings was ripped out - Ingo did not do this, but was very clinical in how he treated the wound and was not comforting at all. As part of his 'ownership' of Emmet, he also got numerous tattoos on him. They were black, and, unbeknownst to Emmet, Ingo also got the same tattoos. Well, almost the same - his tattoos are blacklight tattoos that glow white under the right light. The one on his wrist also has different writing than Emmet's does.
Eventually, a situation became so intense that Emmet feared for his life - I haven't actually thought of what the situation was, but needless to say Emmet was exhausted. Just as he thought it was too much, a portal appeared to him.
Desperate for escape, he did not hesitate as he threw himself into the portal.
Seeing his twin, his *other half* fall through a portal and disappear obviously did not sit well with Ingo and before it closed, he managed to make it through as well.
However! They did not both end up in the same place.
Emmet tumbled his way into Gear Station and was immediately stumbled upon by Normal AU Nobori and Kudari. Normal AU is essentially almost the canon depiction of the Twins, minus PLA occurring. This part of the AU is long and takes time for events to unfold, so I'm gonna condense some of it for the sake of this overview.
They bring Emmet to their home and want him to stay with them because he has clearly been greatly mistreated. Although he agrees, he is quite awkward and anxious. He stays there when they go to work at Gear Station, afraid to touch any of their things or do much of anything there.
Nobori, of course, wants to help Emmet, but the man that looks like his twin seems to be afraid of him. In addition to that, Emmet seems to take anything he says to either be a command or leading statement of some kind. More than once, Emmet puts himself into a vulnerable position, as if expecting Nobori to want to use him. This is certainly not something that Nobori *ever* had in mind, and he's quite troubled by the entire thing.
Kudari sees all of this happening, and after talking with both of them individually, comes up with a great plan! Emmet clearly wants to trust Nobori, but is struggling. And he sees that Nobori doesn't want to hurt him, but it's so hard to get past his natural responses.
So, eventually, when Emmet feels he is ready, the plan is put into action! When Nobori goes to bed the next night, Kudari finds an excuse to stay up a bit later, saying he will come to bed shortly. Instead of Kudari, however, Emmet slips into the bed. The night passes and Nobori does not try to force himself on Emmet and does not wake him in the middle of the night with inappropriate touches. At most, the man that resembles his twin drapes an arm over his waist, murmuring sweetly in his sleep.
In the morning, barely awake Nobori gives him a soft smile, wishing him a good morning and offering him a sleep-fogged kiss, which Emmet returns so as to not give away that he is not Kudari. Slipping out of the bed while Nobori still dozes, he switches places again with Kudari who'd been missing his brother all night.
As Emmet goes to breakfast, he sees Nobori give Kudari another kiss, and is so impressed by the love and affection they show each other. He finds himself becoming jealous that he did not have such affection from his own twin, but more than that, he's so happy that he's been welcomed into their house.
The idea that he wishes Nobori loved only him occurs soon after, and he retreats from them again for fear of being too much like his brother. The thought that he would steal away Kudari's twin after his counterpart was so kind to him made him disgusted in himself. But, the NAUTwins loved and cared for him and coaxed him back from where he had withdrawn from them. They also get all of his tattoos removed, and he begins to dress however he likes.
He found himself falling in love with them both, and they happily envelope him into their relationship. All three of them live together peacefully, taking care of each other. He can't find it in himself to work at Gear Station anymore, and he instead joins Elesa's gym. Due to his strength in battling, something he *was* allowed to do in his own universe, he quickly rises in the ranks and is one of the people you have to battle just before getting to Elesa. He finds his own fashion, keeping his earrings and painting his nails, dressing differently enough that people do not mistake him for Kudari. People, of course, realize that he is related to the Twins, but most believe he is their cousin.
As for Ingo, well. Although he follows his twin through the portal, he finds himself in a completely different universe, despite also landing in Gear Station. Coming upon Emmet, he believes it to be *his* twin until he gets close enough to realize that it is somehow a different version of Emmet. The uniform is the same but there are very distinct differences. Finding this to be an interesting turn of events, he decides to 'play' with this Emmet a little bit.
He approaches him with indecent motives, and only in little bursts. Each time, he teases this Emmet in inappropriate ways, jumping him in the subway and selfishly manhandling him a bit. And each time the Emmet goes to his own Ingo pouting with a tear in the corner of his eye, telling his Nii-san that he *didn't* appreciate it! Of course, that Ingo is completely confused as to what his precious baby brother is talking about.
Emmet finally gets a good look at ddIngo and realizes it is not his own twin. When this happens, ddIngo decides he's going to bring this Emmet back to his own universe.
At the same time, this Emmet's Ingo manages to trail his twin and catches ddIngo in the act of hassling his brother. Ingo saves Emmet and just verbally destroys ddIngo about not taking Emmet's likes or feelings into account, telling him he can't dare call Emmet his brother if he'll act like that.
Having been thoroughly chastised, ddIngo departs through a new portal to continue his pursuit of his own Emmet. This continues for some time, ddIngo creating a portal whenever he decides that his Emmet is not in a particular universe.
There are, of course, a few notable encounters he has.
He falls from a portal into the ocean and has his first encounter with Mermmet and Wife Ingo. This is, of course, during their actual lives so Mermmet is less aware of his own vices. ddIngo thinks he's going to take advantage of the situation but Mermmet just floats above him, shows his shark-teeth in a wide grin and says that his new wife will "be verrrrry fun." Mermmet considers ddIngo a "free guy that looks like his wife" and a "good deterrent to the sharks." Eventually, ddIngo frees himself and hops to another universe.
ddIngo stumbles into Oemmet and Yingo's universe. Much of ddIngo's advantage has been being able to get close to the various Emmet under the impression that he is their twin. But Oemmet all but instantly recognizes that ddIngo is not Yingo. Refusing to let ddIngo control the situation at all, he grabs him and drops ddIngo to the ground, holding him down with his knee to his back and his arms pinned behind him. ddIngo is into it, much to his own surprise. Turns out he actually likes getting manhandled by Emmet. Oemmet all but throws ddIngo out of their universe, uncomfortable by this odd Ingo that suddenly appeared. Yingo comes upon him acting a little shaken, and although Oemmet does not tell him what happens, he accepts Yingo's efforts to calm him down.
You all may have seen @tsumisan6v9's super cool comic about it, but he *also* runs into Changeling Ingo. They manage to talk a little, and ddIngo decides that he and Cringo actually feel much the same about Emmet. They both consider Emmet to be theirs, and feel a possessive hold over their twin.
A thing to note is that any time ddIngo has come across any Ingo and Emmet that did not *exactly* match the canon twins, he called them inferior and told them to be ashamed of themselves for not being perfectly identical. He calls Changeling Ingo a Beast to his face before he determines they are alike.
But, despite this, he finds an imagined kinship with Changeling Ingo that Cringo does *not* appreciate. Cringo tries to dismiss ddIngo with words alone, but when he does not get the hint, he actively attacks him. ddIngo does actually get hurt here, and retreats through the portal before Cringo can do too much damage. It leaves Cringo feeling even worse about himself, and it's up to his Emmet to help him feel better.
After this, ddIngo continues to hop between universes, having decided that the only Emmet he wanted was his own. Eventually, he comes to a deep void, dark as pitch with no other portals to go through. It is here that he wanders for time immeasurable; even ddIngo does not know how long he was there. To him, it felt as though centuries passed, but he never aged. There were long stretches where he wasn't sure that he was even moving.
As time continued to move forward, he began to pathetically call out to his 'lost' twin, begging for Emmet to return to him. Feeling his strength begin to give out, he continued forward, wanting to see his brother before the death he was sure was going to overcome him. Eventually, he collapses, a haze taking over his vision as he lay on the 'ground.' Passing out, he doesn't see the white shoes step into what would have been his field of vision.
And then he wakes up on the train, and so the Death Train AU begins.
