Walter Salles: The little boy in Cuzco, we found him in the streets, or he found us. He came to us and asked if we wanted to know a little bit more about the city and offered himself as a guide. So we said, “Yes, but can we bring the Super16 camera along?” And he said, “Bring whatever you want.” And there it was. That scene, everything is Take 1. Nothing was repeated. (src)

Saint John Baptist de la Salle

1651-1719

Feast day: April 7 (New),  May 15 (Trad)

Patronage: teachers and all who work in the field of education

Saint John Baptist de la Salle was born to a noble family, the oldest of 10 children. Ordained to the priesthood in 1678, he distinguished himself by his piety and intellect. He was involved in educational reform of the poor and founded the Institute of Brothers of Christian Schools (Christian Brothers). At a time when education was only for the upper class, he brought classroom teaching and the use of the vernacular, for all children. Though he had many trials with his schools and the Christian Brothers order, his confidence in God remained firm. St. John inspired others to teach and care for youth, meeting failure and frailty with compassion.

on sort du crous on voit notre prof et accessoirement mon directeur de mémoire qui est pas foutu de reconnaitre ma gueule (mais aucune gueule cela dit) sucer les petits sachets de mayonnaise de la cafet assis à une table en lisant son journal et en faisant des petites mimiques à chaque nouvelle information qu'il lit, mon cœur a fondu il était trop mimi et les filles étaient d'accord avec moi jusqu'à ce que je raconte la scène à romane et qu'elle me dise mais il est autiste je crois mdr (peut-être mais je veux que cette scène reste dans ma tête à tout jamais)
