Since Gotham is over crowded and DC doesn't commit to its heroes to fully move out from there, here are the names:

Hurry Up and Wait...

It has been more than a minute since we updated everyone with a new blog post, so we have a lot to share!

On December 15th we received our No Objections Certificate (NOC). This was a huge deal because it meant that our little boy is officially eligible to be adopted internationally! Now that we received have NOC the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) in India views us as officially matched with our little boy!

At that point, our NOC, dossier, and loads of other paperwork were sent to the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) for approval before going to the desk of the District Magistrate (DM). Currently, the DM is the one who will give the final court order and declare that he is officially, legally our son. The timeline for DM approval has ranged from one week to 2 months, once it reaches their desk. As you can imagine, this sent us into an excited panic because the next step after DM approval will be booking travel!

We received notice that our documents had been sent off to the DCPU at the end of the first week of January. Unfortunately, that same week we got wind of a court case that was waiting to be heard in Maharashtra, the Indian state that our boy is from. This case will determine if District Magistrates will continue to approve adoptions or if they will be transferred to the High Court for approval. On January 11th, the High Court in Maharashtra put a “stay” order on all adoption cases that were at the DM in Maharashtra. This means that every case in DM courts in Maharashtra is on hold until the High Court decides if they will continue to allow DMs to approve adoption cases, which may not be until mid to late February.

In other words, hurry up and wait…

While all of this has been going on we have had the incredible privilege of having two video calls with our boy and his caretaker. The fact that we have been able to see and talk to him is such a blessing. He has an incredible caretaker at his SAA that is preparing him to come home with us. During our second call with him, he pointed to the screen and said “Momma and Papa.” As we were wrapping up the call, his caretaker told him that it was time to go and he immediately shook his head saying that he did not want to hang up. To say that it was hard to hold it together is an understatement. We are so thankful for these opportunities to talk to him and hope that there are more to come.

Finally, as we inch our way closer to travel, we want to do one more fundraiser to help offset some of the travel costs. We will be selling the t-shirts in the photo above until February 19th. They are $25 for adult sizes (S-3X) and $20 for youth sizes (XS-XL). If you are interested in purchasing a shirt, please let us know, and we can get you more information!

Thank you so much for continuing to pray for us and our boy. We have been blessed by our village throughout this journey. While we do not know what the next few weeks hold, we do know that He is in the hurrying and the waiting. He is faithful.

WE ARE ROBIN 3.0

30 years into the batman's carrier the We Are Robin movement has decreased since its original formation six years ago, nonetheless, the youths of Gotham still come out to protect its nest.

This iteration of the team consists of three previous members who have stayed to mentor and give support to the five new recruits.

Shug-R mostly just does the hacking and planning but if needed she also acts as a field medic, since she joined the oracles her job became way easier.

Daxton Chill aka Alt is the mechanic/tech support for the team but unfortunately that makes him the least active member on the team during missions.

Isabella Ortiz aka redbird co-leaders with Shug-R, she is romantically involved with the leader of the Gotham Knights.

Nathan and Michael Hook have been both a pain in the ass and a blessing to Orpheus and Onyx for their incredible inventions, that intrigued Dax and he decided to give them a chance and, well, when four superheroes give you a thumbs up you can't say no.

Dexter Dent is the son of ex-supervillain Harvey Dent and [REDACTED], his father is VERY agonist of him being a vigilante even tho the hypocrite himself is one now, on an unrelated note the penguin seems quite fond of the lad.

Tiffany Fox has been surrounded by heroes all her life with you would think it meant she would have an easier time getting into the hero game but noooo it couldn't be so easy... Her Brother's solution was to put her with these kids as a compromise.

Aurora or as she likes to be called, hoopoe, hopes to one day become a great hero just like Bryne is.

Like any self-respecting superhero team they have their own headquarters called the nest, this one given to them as a first outing gift by Tim Drake who owned it first. Their range extends from the Hill all the way up to Robbinsville, when they patrol it's not unusual to team up with the night shift and the Gotham knights but they also find themselves paired with fennec fox of all people most of the time.

NOTE: for those who don't know who Nathan, Michael and Aurora are the first 2 appear in batman: black & white vol 2 #6 and DC power 2024 while Aurora is from batman: the brave and the bold 2023 #6-7-8, also the DCPU tag is to navigate my dc universe and We Are Robin 2.0-4.0 are placed in different points in the timeline so I don't wanna use them yet.
