Since the controversy has passed I can share this now. I was inactive for years starting in 2018 then I forgot about it. Most people aren’t aware that this even happened. Video slowed down for clarity.

This clip shows Changmin and Jaejoong at Jonghyun’s funeral in 2017. If you look closely you can see the man leading Jaejoong in was one of Changmin’s (manager maybe? I forget). He grabs Changmin’s arm to let him know they’ve arrived at which point they go opposite directions. I’m sure they didn’t want to cause a scene at the funeral but this is just so bittersweet… Changmin sent someone to make sure Jaejoong got in okay, I just 🥺 and JJ was crying *sigh* I wish they could directly interact but this was really so sweet 😭❤��

(If you’re wondering why it was controversial, Jaejoong was getting death threats for wearing a red jacket to a funeral instead of black. He took off his outer coat inside however and was wearing all black. Also because he is ex SM and most SM artists were there)

Cause Zayn sold his shares in 1D as a company (the one that all five of them had which owns the 1D name) and has talked about how 1D wasn’t good for his mental health so I respect him not wanting to be part of 1D and I understand that the likelihood of him being interested in returning for a reunion is incredibly low 🤷🏼‍♀️

For more personal context I come from old school kpop so it’s just commonplace when a member leaves to just… keep carrying on without the old member 🤷🏼‍♀️ like I was never sitting around expecting Han Geng to come back to Suju. Or Jessica to come back to SNSD (though that one was hard on me cause Jessica is my bias). And I saw what happened when JYJ performed that one Kohaku festival with DBSK after they had sued SM…. Most awkward fucking performance of all time thank you very little and rumors of SM keeping Changmin and Yunho separated from JYJ (though apparently Changmin didn’t want anything to do with them ANYWAY cause he’s a petty bitch)

Basically between Zayn’s discussion about his relationship with the band and my own fandom experiences I’m a very big “okay time to move on” person 🤷🏼‍♀️

DBSK Contract + Court Case

I spent 3 days reading all (or most) of the archives present on the internet regarding the case - contracts, court case transcripts, news articles, press conferences, etc. The case is so incredibly complicated and it made me realize that there’s not a single article on the internet giving an unbiased outlook of the case, understandably so. *sigh*

However it does feel good to be a walking, talking encyclopedia of everything that happened.

Anyway, here’s to hoping for a 2NE1-like reunion of OT4/5 DBSK 🥂
