I asbolutely SUCK at puns and quotes and playing around those so it took me a WHILE to come up with them, but this one was the first and the one I'm most proud of! Idk it's so simple and to the point hehe BUT YES, thank you for hosting this adorable event!! Personally helped a lot to get back on track with drawing :) I wish you a lovely Valentine's Day!!💗💗

❤️DBH V-Day Card Exchange 2025❤️

Calling all DBH artists~!

If you lived in the USA, you might remember the nostalgia of trading little character Valentines' cards in elementary school. Let's bring that energy back!!! But this time, WE'LL be the ones drawing up the cards with our beloved DBH characters~! Basically, it's an art trade except the art will be cute Valentines' Day cards!!!

Step 1: Let people know you're interested in trading Valentines' Day cards!!! You can either leave a ❤️ emoji (or any other comment) in the replies or reblog this saying you're open to trading. Totally okay if you add a caveat like you're only opening trades up to moots or oomfs. (You can skip to step 2 if you rather just reach out to specific people rather than having your trades fully open)

Step 2: Set-up your trades! SOFT DEADLINE: Feb 1-ish (up to your discretion on when you want to stop accepting trade request) Either reply to someone's comment or message the person directly if they've said they were open to trades. To keep it simple, I recommend both parties simply saying what character(s) you want drawn on your card.

Step 3: Draw your card!!! If you're still unsure what kind of card this is supposed to be here's a DBH-specific example. Basic template is picture of character + DBH-related pun/pick-up line:

I recommend keeping the drawing simple. The more cutesy and stylized the better~!

Step 4: Post your finished card between Feb 13th-15th!!! You can just make it a regular post or you could it to your valentine via inbox! It's up to you!!! Use the tag #dbh vday exchange 2025 if you want.

🚨IMPORTANT RULES🚨 This is an impromptu event run by just little ol' me with really no rules since everyone is in charge of their own trades, but here are some things to keep in mind.

Keep it PG!!! I want everyone to feel comfortable participating, so keep the puns and pictures SFW. Think wholesome and flirty not horny please!

Please be respectful of each other! Don't be offended if someone declines a trade with you. They might not have enough time to accept more than a couple trades. And don't be rude when declining a trade!

Please be respectful of each other's time! If you aren't able to fulfill your trade for whatever reason, please communicate that with the other person. A quick apology is 1000x better than ghosting someone.

Keep it low stress and fun!!! These cards are supposed to be just a quick fun way to do some art trades. Don't agonize over the drawings or try to make full colored masterpieces (unless you really have the time and energy lol). The expectation here is quick and cute doodles meant to spread some love and kindness <3333

Great Pretenders: an undercover, fake couples HankCon thing I wrote for the lovely @hemlockdumpling as a prompt request YEARS AGO. I love it still, all these years later. Here’s to love, everyone.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard - Emmrook (thus far)

Stories Told and Forgotten - my WiP multi-chapter fix-it fic featuring a transmasc Mourn Watch Rook and a whole slew of DA lore that... wasn't in the actual game. :3 In which no companion dies, we get Bodahn and Sandal, and a whole lot of mutual pining, dorks in love vibes from Emmrich and Rook. 12 chapter so far, and they're only just starting their relationship

i am feeling very emotional right now because of all the love being thrown around in the fandom the past few days!!!

seeing mutuals trading vday cards and being sappy and kind to each other. seeing everyone hype the flood of art. seeing people who weren't able to participate in the exchange event make their own valentine cards. me personally just receiving so much positivity for my vday art.

AHHH makes me wanna cry and i just wanna say thank you!!! everyone who is in my bubble of the dbh fandom has been so kind and supportive and i just appreciate y'all so much!!! i love being part of this fandom and meeting so many kind and creative and funny and just overall fantastic people.

it's a good thing i do these reflection type posts because i totally thought my output for art this month was really low but i just forgot it was heavily front-loaded with art at the first half of the month due to the vday exchange LMAO. second half of the month was really focused on finishing the next chapter of my fic. i got lots of wips that i REALLY should start whittling down u_u

my goal for february was to post the next two chapters to my multichapter fic and finish all the valentine's day card exchanges. i did finish all the card exchanges!!! and it was so fun and i loved the event sooo much!!! my face hurt from smiling the whole day. i only was able to finish writing 1 chapter of my fic, but hey it's better than none! the chapter got great reception and was showered with comments so i am just so grateful and pleased about it since it was struggle for me to write <333

my goal for march is to whittle down the wip count! i'm sitting probably around 50 and i think i'm going to make it a point to not start any more wips until i finish the ones i have. my output has been low the past few weeks so really want to get things finished. goal is to also finish chapter 3 of my fic!!! (and possibly sign up as a writer for the dbh bb, but we'll see how that goes since i'm already writing and drawing for the tiers one).
