Here is one of those early-draft bits that never made it into so I try to talk refined... it would've been the beginning of the fic if it had been in Edwin's POV.

It’s not like Edwin purposefully kept information from Charles. Maybe he would have, if he’d even thought about it. Charles' reactions can be quite… intense when it comes to this topic, and Edwin can imagine wanting to spare him the emotional burden. But the fact is, it didn’t occur to him to try and hide it, because he didn’t even think about it. So much happened in so little time, there was no opportunity to talk about such trivial things. And then— Well, it doesn’t matter. They have Niko back now, and Edwin and Charles are back on Earth, seemingly in possession of a special license to not be hunted down by Death herself… they are safe, and everything has been resolved. There is no reason to think about Port Townsend or anything that happened in that town, and Edwin hasn’t exactly been keen to revisit the more personally unpleasant moments of his American adventure. For that reason, it takes months before all the details about the Cat King’s interactions with Edwin are revealed. And if Edwin thought that the time passed since Port Townsend would mitigate Charles’ reaction to them, he was very, very wrong. “He did what?”

There you go, that was my very first version of the intro, and I was SO happy with it 😭 but Charles' POV just made a lot more sense in the fic, and the more I wrote the more I knew I had to start over and write a different beginning. I'm happy with what I ended up writing, but I really dragged my feet on that one at first 😜

7) How do you choose which POV to write from?

Usually I make the decicision based on the idea I have and the themes I want to explore. If I don't have a clear idea in the beginning, then I just think about it more, and try to figure out what emotions I'm excited about writing, etc. Eventually one POV will make more sense to me than the other.

The worst part of that is that sometimes, right at the beginning when I'm still exploring the idea for the fic, I get the tone just right for a paragraph or two... and it feels SO UNFAIR that I have to scrap it when I choose the other POV. (That happened with so I try to talk refined, actually. I'm still in mourning.)

46) How would you describe your style? (Character/emotion/action-driven, etc)

That is such an interesting question! My stories are definitely more often emotion-focused, I don't think there's even a debate. 😜

65) Tell us about what you’re most looking forward to writing – in your current project, or a future project

I'm quite excited about the new alive AU I'm working on, as well as a couple of projects I've mentioned in previous ask games, like the one with the chickens. 😊

And I've been daydreaming about it for a little while now, but as soon as I figure out the details for that bonus part to my vampire fic, I'm pouncing on that.

Like just the thought of DBDA finishing is so sjakabakakoansbakoqldnbdjsjsnsnnsn I genuinely cannot imagine it stopping.

I WANT IT TO CONTINUE TILL THE DAY I DIE. I WANT TO BE ON MY DEATHBED, WATCHING SEASON 30 FINALE.

I don't care if after season 4 ish the rest of the episodes are 2 minute long unreleased bloopers, I just need more payneland.

BONUSES. I would LOVE DBDA bonuses. The blooper reel and the BTS George posted were amazing. I'd love to own them and also get more where that came from

I really hate the Netflix single household rule it's so fucking greedy

I miss physical media so much, dude. I really wish I had a DVD of DBDA so I would know that I had it forever even if Netflix went down or it were taken off. It afforded SO much peace of mind. Also because I'm someone who needs captions DVDs were so easy to watch

fr fr plus the bonuses that usually come with dvds and stuff……..sigh………. I’ve got a number of dr who + torchwood dvd sets and it feels so strange that they’re really not THAT old and yet that kind of merchandise has almost gone totally extinct. im only 23 this is depressing

(but re: your replies earlier– first of all dw bout it, second of all, yeah believe me i really wanna support as much as possible to get their numbers up but (ad-free) netflix is unreasonably expensive (and no!!!!! student!!!!!!! discounts!!!!!!!!!!) and i don’t have many other shows id regularly use it for. regardless tho, i did watch the show the first two times on a friend’s netflix before it kicked me off so i kinda did my part there, and now i’ve broken down and got the netflix with ads option so. netflix got me in the end for better or for worse 😔)
