adiris / the plague

adiris is a woman who has spent millennia dedicating herself to those around her and to her worship of the entity, she didn’t have the luxury of catching feelings for people nor would she have had the time to ruminate on those emotions if she did fall for someone in her life — all that to say, it would take her an extremely long time to realise that her feelings for you went beyond simple platonic appreciation or camaraderie with a fellow inhabitant of the realms, and even then it’s unlikely that she’d ever decide to confess those feelings to you unless she felt strongly compelled to do so for one reason or another

and there are plenty of other factors that would prevent her from outright confessing to you even if she wanted to, such as the distinct language barrier between you two — which would take a shit load of time and patience to overcome as you two learned each other’s languages, and even then would make it difficult for her to express the depth of her emotions as there are some things that can’t quite be translated to or from her ancient dialect

she does show her fondness for you in other ways though, she’s just exceptionally subtle about it all so it may be difficult for you to recognise her intentions unless you know her extremely well — e.g. her consistently praying for your well-being to the entity and seeking out more sacrifices in the hope that it will make them more likely to listen to her, her teaching you about her religion and practices as best she can, her welcoming your physical affection and slowly starting to reciprocate it, her protectiveness over you when around survivors or other killers, and the way she tends to you as best she knows how whenever you’re sick or injured

it’s little things with her that show she truly cares for you, and each action and look and prayer is a whispered confession of her true feelings that gets easier and easier to understand the longer you’re around her

and once you do finally realise what’s happening, what those little things mean, it becomes impossible to miss and then it will fall to you to go about the whole ‘confessing your feelings’ thing when you’re ready — and when you do just know that she’ll accept you with open arms and reassurance in a language you’re just starting to understand

amanda young / the pig

while it will take amanda a considerable amount of time to recognise her feelings for you as romantic, and even longer than that for her to come to terms with them enough to actually ask you out, once she is ready to tell you she’s very straightforward about the whole thing

she probably just spits it out in the middle of some random conversation you’re having when she gets back from another trial — not even bothering to wipe the blood and viscera off of her clothes, or to remove the mask, or even to look up from where she’s sharpening her weapon, when she very bluntly asks you out and waits your response

she’s much more anxious than she lets on, rest assured of that much, and she is absolutely terrified of being rejected by you or making you uncomfortable because you’re the most important person in the world to amanda — but the only reason she’s confessing now is because she’s also terrified of losing you and is at least reasonably confident that you return her feelings so she decided to get the whole ‘asking out’ thing out of the way so the two of you can get on with your lives

and once you accept her offer and the two of you finally become an official couple, you’ll see her whole body visibly relax as she settles into a much more comfortable position — almost able to imagine the smile on her face underneath the pig’s head she’s wearing as she diverts the conversation to a different topic (perhaps what you did in her absence, or how the trail went when she was away, or maybe something entirely different)

sally smithson / the nurse

as sally isn’t really able to speak anymore, she tends to show her fondness for you through her actions — fetching you food, bringing you new clothes from the trials, tending to you when you’re sick, being more open to physical affection, etc. — which worked well enough for the both of you to become quite close friends after meeting in the realms

but when she realised her feelings for you had stopped being strictly platonic, the limitations that you’d previously learned to work around once again became a frustrating barrier for her to overcome in order to ‘confess’ to you in a way you’d actually understand and, hopefully, reciprocate

she does, of course, try to draw your attention to her through physical affection and acts of service, like she did when she was simply trying to befriend you, but because you’d become so accustomed to her attentiveness her efforts went right over your head — which was rather disheartening for her as she spent quite a while working up the courage to actually hold your hand and cuddle into your side as opposed to just lingering beside you like she usually did

(she’s just not used to being the one to pursue a partner — her husband was the one who initiated their relationship back them, and in the time she came from it just wasn’t something she was ever expected to do — so it’ll take her some time to get used to this game of chase and find her footing in it, so to speak)

she moves on to relying on the ‘quality time’ love language, doing her best to organise meetings that resemble the sort of dates her husband took her on back in the day while working around the limitations of the realm she resides within — and, to her credit, the scavenged-food picnics and long walks (or, in her case, floats) through the hospital grounds are actually decently romantic all things considered, and her visible happiness to listen to whatever you have to say is undeniably charming, so even if you don’t initially pick up on her intentions it’s difficult to not be at least a little flustered by her efforts

it will take a while for even the most observant type of person to realise what sally is actually trying to do — particularly because of how long the two of you were friends beforehand and how similar her behaviour was then — but once you do finally pick up on all of the signs she’s been giving you and ask her formally to be your girlfriend she’s going to be so so relieved

(both because you actually reciprocate her feelings and she wasn’t going through all of that just to be rejected, and also because it was really frustrating for her to try and figure out new ways to make her feelings known while also being physically unable to just say the words to you outright because of her injuries… so, yeah, she’s just glad it’s all over and done with now)

You and your girlfriend, Sable were some of the newer survivors, coming with the Unknown. You both were welcomed by many, mostly by Mikaela. During trials Sable and you would mostly split up to get generators done and to keep the killer away from each other. This trial wasn't too different.

The unfortunate group to be in this trial was Sable, Vittorio, Feng, and you, and it was against the Nurse. It was on Mount Ormond and 3 gens were done. Vittorio and Feng were both on the same gen, Sable was running around, but you haven't been accounted for in a while. Sable was trying to find you, running around the second floor of the Mount Ormond Lodge, calling for you carefully.

"You here, babe?" She called out, looking around the broken down room. The Nurse's shriek rang throughout the map every once in awhile but thankfully she didn't decide to check the inside of the lodge for now. The sound of a locker opening and closing came from behind Sable, making her turn around. "I'm here." You said and Sable softly smiled, her mood lifting a little.

"I finally found you." She said happily, walking to you and hugging you. "You alright? Any injuries?" She questioned, pulling away slightly to looking over you quickly and noticing the blood on your side. "She got you good, huh?"

You laughed softly as you nodded. "Yeah... I should be fine though." Sable rolled her eyes and saw the medkit in your hand.

"Give me that medkit and let me patch you up." She said, grabbing your medkit and opening it to grab the necessary supplies before beginning to patch you up. "I don't know why you bring a medkit if you don't heal yourself." She said with a smirk.

"It's not for me, it's for others." You replied, trying to stay still for Sable. The sound of a gen popping went through the air before Feng's scream followed. After a moment another scream filled the air. "That was Feng's last hook, she's dead." Sable finished patching you up, giving your medkit back. "She always loves to stick gens."

A loud shriek filled the air before the sound of your heartbeat filled your ears. You quickly reacted, pulling Sable with you into a locker. Thankfully Meg taught you how to do things quickly and quietly.

The Nurse flew into the room, her weapon raised as she looked around. She let out a scratchy and raspy breath and lowered her weapon when she didn't see or hear anyone in the room. You tightly held Sable closely to you, her head against your chest as you watched the Nurse through the slits in the locker. The sound of the final gen popping caught the Nurse's attention and she let's out a loud shriek before blinking away.

"Alright, she gone." You said as you carefully opened the locker, but Sable held you still. You looked at her confused when she cupped your face in her hands. "Hun, we need to leave before the Nurse comes back."

"I know, but let me just..." Her voice trailed off as she leaned forward and gave you a quick kiss. "There. I just couldn't resist. You looked so pretty." She mumbled with a small smile, making you smile.

"Alright, but let's get going now." You said with a chuckle, getting out of the locker with Sable and quickly running to the exit gates.

HOWDY YA”LL!!! Wayward here!!! 
This is my first post on tumblr and also my first time doing digital art. I’m actually REALLY happy with how this came out!!! It’s not that detailed or anything but I think it’s pretty good for a first time thing. 
But I don’t know much about drawing
or coloring a lot of things like skin/shading/rotten flesh and the like which I’m going to try to work on. If anybody knows any videos or channels with good tutorials for digital art (mostly on the basics) I would be so grateful if you could comment the links. Personal tips and tricks you might have are also welcomed. I use firealpaca just so you know but I’d love some other program recommendations if anyone has any (please only recommend free ones because I have no money T_T). 
This is a fan art of The Plague from Dead by Daylight who I absolutely never play as but I had this idea of The Doctor and The Nurse standing 6 feet apart with masks on yelling about to social distancing (Sally wouldn’t yell but Herman certainly would). I also imagine one of the killers (probably Michael) getting to close to The Doctor’ and Herman uses his static field to stun them while shouting “SIX FEET APART!!!!” and then Micheal proceeding to try and stab him which eventually led me to thinking about the other killers and how they would act, mainly Adiris (The Plague) and how she would low key purposely get closer to Herman just to irritate him so yeah, that’s how I came up with Addy wearing a #ProCorona shirt. Also I give nicknames to a lot of the DBD characters (and almost all other fictional characters) so I call Adiris “Addy” because why not :) ?
I might make the artwork of The Doctor and Nurse with the social distancing situation later and everything but I’m still really new to digital art and I’m going to experiment on firealpaca first. 
Also I’ve been in a HUGE dbd mood ever since I read the last chapter of my absolutely favorite fanfiction of all time In Living Memory by @ziracona. It’s a literal work of art like UGHHHHH HOW CAN SOMETHING BE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!! My only complaint in the whole thing is that no matter how hard I try I can’t chose a favorite character. I love my boys Joey and Michael and my gals Meg, Kate, and Laurie but I also adore my cinnamon rolls Quentin, Claudette, and Phillip but I also love Frank because I love the legion as a whole and the characterization @ziracona has done for them in spectacular and amazing. I also love the Dads Jeff, Tapp, and Ace and Mama Anna. The family fluff literally made all my teeth rot and I regret NOTHING. I just love the whole story so much, I can’t even watch the muppets or listen to Rainbow Connection without being taken over by the uncontrollable need to reread it. Every chapter is absolute perfection. Their isn’t a single character that is lacking in personality or story. Anybody who sees this post (which with my lack of followers is probably going to be no one honestly) should read this fan fiction. Here are some reasons.
