Dazatsu Month 2025 Day 1 - First Meeting

Starting out this month with a fanart for a fanfic 'gotta survive (can't do this on my own)' by @zinder-fox! They knocked it out of the park with the feel of Atsushi living a thriller and Dazai living a romance manga 💖✨

Day 1 - First Meeting

Really exited to see all Dazatsu stuff that people for this month.

This month was also an oportunity to mess around with different drawing styles but that's on later days

Atsushi looked at the man's feature. In the light of the sunrise, the man looked ethereal, a handsome prince that Atsushi would read about in books at the orphanage. Hopefully the man at least to some extent, was loaded as one. Surely this cruel world can toss Atsushi a bone or two as reparation.

There’s a beer can, slightly crumpled right by his head. Atsushi leans over Dazai to grab it, but instinctively Dazai’s hands find Atsushi’s waist to stabilize him. His other hand snakes into Atushi’s outstretched reach.

“Trying to clean up after me, are you that much at home now?”

Atsushi’s face goes warm and he doesn’t understand why this teasing has its affect. Touch overwhelms him, and he equally wants to lean in or scurry away. The fear, wanting to run, makes Atsushi realize this closeness with Dazai is what he wants. In every stolen glance to his coworker, that’s been lying beneath. Flustered at the realization, an overcompensated move to lean away makes him slip out of the cushion and fall closer to Dazai, their noses nearly touching. The stabilizing hand on his hip traveled to his lower back and held tight as he accidentally pinned dazai’s hand next to the discarded beer can. 

“So forward.”

“I- uh…”

Dazai’s eyes trail down Atsushi’s face. He was hesitant to admit they traveled to his lips.

That’s when atsushi remembered Dazai was drunk, the disappointment silencing the rush of his newly identified crush. He brought himself upwards and recollected his thoughts. His mind raced with the new understanding he liked Dazai in that way, and now he'd have to do something about it.

Chuuya: Shit! Dazai, why should I help with your stupid drunkenness if you can walk alone with your ass!?

Dazai: :)

Dazai: Atsushi-kun!!

Chuuya: Huh?

Chuuya's eyes widen when he sees Atsushi with serious face and some blood on his clothes after the mission

Chuuya: Wow... This kid is so-

Dazai: SO HOT

Chuuya:

Chuuya: What did you just say?

Dazai: I get an erection
