❝MY, MY, WHAT BROUGHT about this seriousness from you, hm?❞ It was rare for Koto to approach him like this, though he wouldn’t necessarily say it was completely uncommon. There was never any prior warning either. Alas, this Saber was akin to some raging storm anyway, so half the time, he could never quite figure out what she would do or say until it happened. This situation was really no different. Humming softly, he leaned forward, arm resting upon the arm of his chair, and chin upon a closed fist. ❝What if life is more than merely tough? To simplify it so, would be to ignore the plight of those who struggle each day to see the sun, would it not?❞

     Ozymandias could have taken those words at face value and agreed with them (and to a point he did), but every now and then, he did enjoy picking at another’s brain to see what response they would give him if he replied to their words with a question. Thus, he decided to poke and prod at his present company and test them. ❝As a former Slayer, you saw individuals like this all the time, I am sure. It was these individuals who were often sought out by that man named Muzan and transformed into demons. Would you too tell them the same words you told me? Those so hopelessly lost, that they would forsake their own humanity to find worth in their lives?❞

koto gently bites itto's cheek !

He wanted to finish his well-deserved snack, but before he could sink his teeth in for another bite, Koto dug hers into his cheek. It only barely stung, the surprise of it more shocking than her pointed teeth nearly breaking skin.

"You're bitin' people now? The hell is goin' on with you lately?" He rubbed at his cheek, the skin growing flush over time. "Huggin' on me all the time, always touchin' my horns and now ya can't even keep your mouth off'a me."

Vaguely, he recalled his boys making comments about how 'strange' the two of them had been, yet it wasn't until now that he realized what they meant. On the other hand, he couldn't believe that she had ulterior motives for her affections. She liked to bite, that was all.

Right? Psh. Right. Totally. Hell, there were times when he felt his oni blood boil and had the resist the urge to nibble on her himself.

Doubt meant deflection, so he resorted to the usual tactics: teasing. It was the simplest way to test the waters, and he was certain she would reel once he did.

"Almost like you're in love with me now." He shoved his snack into his mouth and let out an obnoxious laugh. "Not that I can blame ya! I am pretty great, y'know."

❝NOT IN PARTICULAR.❞ KOTO and the word ‘experiment’ didn’t sound safe or well – good in general. The best way to maneuver a situation like this, was to simply not pay it any mind to begin with. Thus, he continued to read his book, not even sparing her another glance after giving his rather blunt statement. ❝I am sure you could find someone else around the building who would be more than happy to aid you in this…experiment of yours.❞ He nearly scoffed just stating the word. What was she now? A scholar? Please. However, as much as he would have preferred to enjoy reading his book about some fantastical adventure, he, unfortunately, was interrupted – rather violently at that. Grunting, he stumbled backwards come her aggressive tackle, nearly toppling the poor book shelf over. Thankfully, after wobbling dangerously back and forth, other than a few books slipping from the shelf, it did manage to stay put.

     Back pressed against it, he let out a long sigh of relief before fixing Koto with a glare. What was this even for?! ❝You know, the point of a question is waiting for an answer.❞ Was this just for a hug? Was that why she came at him like a bull? How childish! There was something called using one’s words, although to say that he might have accepted her request was up in the air. Still, she would have never known if she didn’t actually ask!

Koto leans up to gently kiss Itto on the cheek then start running as if her life depends on it. Excuse her, she is embarrassed.

"Hey, Short-Stack. What's up, what'cha want up here for, huh? I got somethin' on my——?"

Her lips had touched him, right beside the space where his red markings stretched from his bottom eyelid to the strong curve of his jaw. A kiss that, when it struck, felt him feeling abundantly warm. A shiver rippled through his, goosebumps rising on his arms and along the back of his neck.

It was innocent and quick, a fleeting moment, but he wouldn't forget it. He wouldn't let her forget it either. He was tired of his strange, compressed feeling that welled up in his chest whenever the two of them became close. It made him antsy, made him spend the rest of the day thinking about her instead of his card games and onikabuto.

When she opens the front door that leads to the clinic’s premises, little did moon rabbit expect that she would be receiving a guest this late in the evening — one that is covered in a bloody mess, no less. Worse, the said guest is none other than the country’s one && only empress, many open bleeding wounds very much visible on the surface of her skin; her silken robes tattered all over as if it had been sliced open by vicious slashes of blades. Rather than grimacing out of nausea && fear, the presence of blood does nothing to faze the healer. Jinluo’s expression turns stern — violet hues directly stare onto Koto’s nearly empty sunsetlike eyes.

“Lady Koto… what is this…?” She rarely raises her voice, yet the heat of the moment gets into her out of distressed concern. “Just what in the world… happened to you?” Remembering the urgency from the dire situation at the very moment, she waits no longer for an answer && holds out her hand directly to hover above a particularly huge open wound on her chest that is laid over on a scar that is already etched upon the fair skin. With a little concentration, a small glow emanates from her palm whereas a gentle ray of light would cover the wound to gradually close it — returning to the state where it was intact.

“I normally don’t do things this way, but this is an emergency.” While she still has a myriad of inquiries she wanted to ask out loud, there are more pressing matters for her to attend at this very moment. “Don’t move until I’m done with treating all of your open wounds.” She might tire herself more than usual with this technique, but it matters little when another’s life is at stake.

What is she? Teething? You can't help but look at her with a quizzical expression before you laugh. A smile spreading across your face slowly as your eyes narrow. She is truly like a teeth puppy, especially compared to you! Does she thing her veil of secrecy will help her here? Does she think her body slowly crumbling with time will stop you from treating her as you would anyone else?

A bottle with a hole in the bottom will eventually be emptied, so you might as well put everything into it before it's totally emptied.

(Even if it'll eventually be gone, there is some comfort in trying, isn't there? Do you even understand that?)

Magic is useful for a lot of things. Anything from incredibly complex tasks to the simple everyday objectives such as undressing and dressing. So using your magic to move her clothing enough to expose her shoulder was simple. It was even quicker just how easily your teeth from her skin and bite down. Hard enough to leave a mark, hard enough to taste blood. Yet, you make sure there is no pain. Magic is wonderful, isn't it?
