THE KISS UPON HIS cheek was surprising, and though Nanami did at least attempt to hide his surprise by acting other than surprised, the color that blossomed upon the tips of his ears stated otherwise. ❝There was no need for…any of that, but good morning to you as well, Qistina-san.❞ Other than teasing moments from his past due to certain rowdy friends back at a certain high school, or of course, an affectionate peck from his mother, he couldn't say that anyone outside of that had just so casually leaned in kissed his cheek before. Nanami wasn't even sure how he was supposed to react, even if he did his best to appear thoroughly unaffected to anyone so much as glancing in his direction. ❝I hope you managed to sleep well last night.❞

THE GESTURE WAS ONE that he had not at all expected, such snapping him out of his focus from checking the time on his watch. After all, it wasn’t as if people just constantly reached out to Nanami, although in Koto’s case, he shouldn’t be too surprised by her rather abrupt actions. She had probably caught a stray strand of hair out of place after they had finished their mission, but he did wish that she would give him some kind of warning because just doing things. It had taken everything in Nanami to not jump from surprise when her hand had appeared in his peripheral. ❝Koto, what have we said about warning people you are going to do something they don’t expect?❞ He swore this has been on repeat since they were teens, yet not once could he recall her ever doing anything of the sort. Nanami supposed that if she did, he would have looked at her as if she had suddenly sprouted another two set of arms, and so perhaps her continuing her normal behaviors after all this time might as well be a normal occurrence at this point.

     ❝Though…❞ he continued, eyeing her with no small hint of suspicion behind the green lenses he wore, ❝I do wonder if you just wanted to touch my hair.❞ That too was very much a possibility, after all. Nanami made a mental note, then, to make sure he returned the gesture when she least expected it. Since she was most definitely aware that he was a person with schedules; someone who, to an extent, didn’t change much, that meant he could use this to his advantage in the future. ❝That aside, I do appreciate you making me presentable – unintended or not.❞

THOUGH NANAMI DID FIND some slight (very slight---!) amusement out of Daisuke's wariness of Gojo, he could understand the reasons for it. After all, he was…well…very loud and…Gojo, which in turn, was quite A LOT to many individuals. This tied with the fact that he also kept an eye on Daisuke due to Dark's influence, didn't help much either. ❝The more you hide, the more he'll be interested in you, Niwa-kun.❞ True facts.

NANAMI KNEW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about dates and all that entailed. He had never been interested enough in anyone to ever pursue that particular path whether as a young teen to the older, wiser man he was now. No doubt that those who knew him would have been beyond surprised to see the normally routine-bound sorcerer change his normal schedule for another person unless under special circumstances. He supposed a ‘date’ fell into that category. Uncertain as to what he should wear for such a venture, it had taken far longer than he had intended to pick out something from his closet to wear. In the end, he just fell back on one of his suits, one of his favored watches, and of course, polished and gleaming shoes. Making his way over to the mirror in his bathroom, he lifted his hands, smoothing back his hair, giving his appearance a quick look over before letting out a small, content hum. Despite always putting great effort in his appearance before leaving for work, this felt a bit…different. How so? He wouldn’t have been able to say. All he knew was that he was much more cognizant of how he was going to appear in front of Qistina.

     A silly thought considering they had seen one another covered head to toe in muck from curses. ❝Haibara, you would have laughed if you saw me right now.❞ Chuckling softly, he put on a little cologne before taking his leave of the bathroom. Slipping on his shoes at the door, he left his apartment without so much as a glance back. Reaching Qistina’s home did not take overly long, but it certainly felt like he had been walking for a while. Was this anxiety what one felt when they went on dates? It was so ridiculous when they spoke just fine as colleagues. It wasn’t as if they were strangers meeting for the first time. Coming to a stop in front of her door, he lifted his hand and gave a few gentle knocks. Door opening, he blinked, a bit taken aback by the woman he saw in front of him. Nanami could say that he had never seen Qistina like this before – not even the faintest glimpse. Although she was a beautiful woman (none could doubt that), in this instance, she was akin to a gleaming star that he couldn’t take his eyes off of.

      Realizing he was staring, he cleared his throat, ready to greet her when Chaffee was quick to take his attention away. ❝Ahaha, it’s good to see you as well, Chaffee. You seem as energetic as usual.❞ He reached out, gently caressing soft fur. As he did, though, he made sure to address Qistina. ❝Forgive me for not getting her sooner. I was half-tempted to ask if Ijichi wouldn’t mind driving me, but a stroll does wonders on evenings like these.❞ That, and a stroll helped his nerves a little better than sitting in the back seat of a car would have---

         preparations  for  the  first  date  in  her  entire  life  were  going  a  little  too  perfectly  than  expected,  and  she  hated  it.  To  be  ‘perfect’  was  to  be  without  room  for  improvements.  When  there  was  nothing  to  improve,  there  was  nothing  to  be  focused  on.  Everything  was  already  prepared  for  their  evening  together  ;  kitchen  immaculate  as  always,  chaffee  brushed  and  nails  clipped,  a  tasteful  maxi-dress  in  a  dark  blue  floral  that  hugged  all  of  her  curves   (  the  saleswoman  that  had  nearly  shoved  it  into  her  bag  absolutely  insisted  -  ),  hair  straightened,  nails  shining  pale  pink  and  white  .  .  .  even  makeup  to  compliment  the  occasion.  She  looked.  Well.  Like  a  modern  woman,  rather  than  the  pale  and  paltry  child  once  cursed  to  loneliness  in  the  cages  of  her  fathers'  land.  She looked beautiful. She felt beautiful. 

It  hits  her  all  at  once  when  passing  by  the  hallway  mirror  to  answer  the  door,  just  how  different  her  life  has  ventured  from  what  it  was  before.  Seeking  love,  who  would  have  thought  it  possible?  Though  there  still  remains  the  chance  that  Kento  would  not  be  returning  her  love,  this  here  was  the  first  step  in  retaining  complete  control  of  her  life.  And  for  that,  she  was  happy.  Beaming  at  the  Woman  in  the  mirror.  Herself. 

        “  Kento-san,  I'm  so  happy  to  see  you!  ”    pearly  white  teeth  shine  in  her  smile as she opens the door,  nearly  reaching  out  to  hug  him  -  when  Chaffee  had  come  walking  excitedly  to  the  new  guest,  tail  swishing  furiously  as  he  pressed  his  nose  against  Kento's  finely  pressed  clothes  and  hands,  sniffing  deeply,  groaning  and  whining  with  joy.        “  Ah,  Ah,  Chaffee,  come  on  now,  taht  boy!  ”

Sat as prime as usual, the Hound awaits Nanami to finish what he needs, attention on the window and gaze far but his mind wandering from its duty of sorting through the emotions of human and curses to separate the two for hunting down later... Instead, his lash flutters and his head tilts, moving his gaze to Nanami's profile and enjoying the sight before catching himself and looking back to the window. SO FAR, NANAMI HADN’T caught any nearby curses. Sometimes they liked to lurk in alleyways, or even behind the occasional tree on the side of the street. Most of the time, those tended to be harmless unless you met their gaze, and when that happened, they glued themselves to that individual, following them in the same manner of yokai from legend. As a boy, he had seem them a great deal, instinctively knowing that he should never look directly at them no matter what garbled gibberish passed from their lips. He didn’t see anything right now, though. No looming figure out in the open, no grotesque figure partially obscured by shadows…

     Just a regular street.

     Busy, as Tokyo often always was. Good. Either the curses felt Nanami’s presence enough to stay away, or they were more than aware of Weissager and feared him as something more powerful than themselves, thus keeping their distance from this entire vicinity. Either way, Nanami was just glad that the people who lived near and around him were safe. ❝It looks like this area is still in the clear. I was worried that some curses might eventually try to move in since I did feel something a few days ago, but I suppose they must have left.❞ A small sigh of relief escaped him, Nanami’s gaze shifting over to Weissager come their question. That was one that he had pondered many a time, his thoughts always trailing towards beaches with their bright, blue waves and the smell of sea salt hanging in the air. Sometimes he dreamt that he was on such a beach, the sun shining upon his face and his eyes closed as he merely existed.

     At peace…

     No thought of curses to be had.

     Maybe one day…he could do that with Weissager. Go somewhere nice and quiet, enjoy his life to the fullest. ❝I’ve always thought of going to Malaysia. I hear the beaches are a sight to behold. I even pondered having a house by the sea.❞ He laughed softly at the thought. It was silly, but how wonderful would it be to open your window and feel that cool ocean breeze against your face? ❝There’s nothing more calming than peering out into the distance and seeing that endless blue. When that time comes, I hope you’ll remain with me.❞ Nanami already knew the answer to that.

The Ladder and Spring scrying ritual, How I scry the elemental kingdoms.

I want to emphasize that my method of working is my own and it is a synthesis of stuff I read and probably can't exactly put my finger-on but it follows a somewhat similar approach of the golden dawn/ceremonial magician style but more simpler and direct.  The whole associating with divinity then bossing over lower hierarchy, again I am not trying to do that but you will see the similarities. I am trying to make it a bit more organic and less formulaic, giving some spaces here and there for people AND spirits to work together in this act/ritual. Ingredients/Materials to use:

1)Candles 2)Bell 3)Name of Sandalphon written in Green 4)Earth Tattva drawn by yourself or printed if you can’t. 5)Pentacle(if you have one) The Two part of this ritual/method of scrying is: 0) Preparation 1) The (step)Ladder. 2) The Loaded Spring. Step 0 is preparation of yourself AND the area, and yourself, what I opt to do is Being with Our Father and Three Hail Mary, Water of Eden/Purifying consecrated water is made to consecrate the area and wash our face and head+arm+feet. Ring the four archangelic gates and call their attention to this ritual.  Lastly The Qabbalistic invocation of Levi. Again very simple and mostly it’s just praying and calling, talking, washing yourself, etc.

Now for Part 1.. If you ever saw a step-ladder, and I think most people saw one irl it’s like an inverted V.  So we start raising up the ladder itself, you start by calling your ancestors, guides, natal/guardian angel, and your..image of Divinity, like praying to God. This is the “mental-astral” body doing the climb up the ladder, and now we start by climbing up too, we start by calling the Gnomes with the Gnomes oration in JSK’s Testament of St Cyprian: Oh, admirable and incomprehensible genies! With blind faith and humble heart, I throw myself upon your mercy. My hope is that – as you direct my steps and actions from the moment I appeared upon this planet until that one in which, my mission completed, you collect my spirit to accompany it to sidereal worlds, to the place that the Supreme Creator has reserved to us in his inscrutable aims – so equally will you lend your aid in transmitting faithfully my requests to the celestial (or infernal) spirits, without varying the conception of my words or intentions. Now the start of the Gnome Prayer from Eliphas Levi which is easily accessible online and can be found easily. That’s the end of Part 1 or the Ladder, we rose up to Sandalphon through the Gnomes and went back through the Gnomes. The idea of the stepladder is now replaced with a loaded-spring, if you have the image of a spring ready to BOING BOING, you get the image, the spring is ready to JUMP. You’re on of that SPRING. All the work of hierarchy you did now is transformed into the Spring that will shoot you in your trip with you scrying, the whole preparation AND Step 1 of it is for this: Part 2, You will bring your attention to the tattva card and start chanting the names of Uriel, Ariel, Ghob, Uriel, Ariel, Ghob, and so on and so on and you will ASK permission to enter, pray/talk whatever, you have to ASK permission. Once you enter, it could be a bit hard or weird, you will enter. When you’re inside you will not talk and start to get a a grip on the place and area around, no need to rush after going inside the tattva because the loaded spring the whole ritual did will carry the momentum forward now, you don’t need to actively participate or ask things but it’s okay if you do. You have multiple options to ask now: 1) Ask a Guide from Sandalphon 2) Ask a Guide from Uriel 3) Ask a Guide from Ariel 4)Ask a Guide from Ghob Again each of these willl have different forms, different places they will take you too, you can come back again and ask for a different guide. to Verify the Guide, ask him in the name of who you called him with. If you call someone from Uriel and he said he come from Ghob? it’s a head-scratcher, no? think about it, no rush, and you don’t need to listen to your guide just because they said something and you feel weird you can tell them off or tell them no or ask them to explain themselves. You go on and on..in the end you should retrace your steps and go back to your bodies. Remember to write down everything immediately and ask for signs, seals, instructions to do irl, etc. These stuff will be useful and to ground your knowledge into this world. Don’t just scry and get some astral lesson, ASK THEM to give you something to DO in the PHYSICAL WORLD.   I will emphasize on this because it’s important that your work have some give-take, to have more to it than just spectating astral stuff, see how the stuff in the real world feel like, see how they act, what phenomena happpen, how magic they teach you work, etc. If the stuff they teach you doesn’t work…then what use is it? Try to ground and bring something useful down.

FINGERS GENTLY CARD THROUGH dark hair, Nanami having said nothing as he had merely allowed Weissager to relax without interruption. There were times that he found himself thinking about when they had first met in what felt like so long ago. How it all started with him catching sight of an ominous black hound in the distance – watching him, observing, as if attempting to find something, and occasionally, for reasons he didn’t know, assisting him. It might have been foolish for him to open his door to the other in time, but he didn’t regret the choice he had made. After all, from the very beginning, he hadn’t felt the need to be on guard with Weissager. There was never any killing intent, never any hunger like what wafted from curses when they saw him… Just a feeling that he couldn’t quite pinpoint as anything other than curiosity. ❝Sleep well. I’ll be looking after you this time.❞ Even if they didn’t at all need it. For once, rather than looking over Nanami as he slept, he would be doing that for them instead. It was what they deserved for all their hard work.

     Glancing away for a moment, he looked towards the window with its partially drawn curtains, taking note of just how bright the moon was that night. Even despite all the city lights making it near impossible to see any stars, the moon was a constant presence that could never be drowned out by anything other than a cloudy sky. It was a sight that Nanami, as a sorcerer, saw on quite a regular basis. However, whereas that sight had once filled him with quiet dread so long ago, right now, he felt at peace. Maybe that was due to Weissager’s presence being a source of comfort. Turning his attention back to the hellhound with a small smile upon the edges of his lips, he tucked a piece of hair behind their ear. Not many could say they felt that in the presence of a demon…

     And yet here he was.

Physique: Yuma est un très grand jeune homme aux cheveux marron clair. Il a habituellement les cheveux attachés dans un chignon avec une frange et quelques mèches qui traînent à l'arrière. Yuma porte habituellement une chemise blanche à col en V à manches longues avec une bordure noire vers le haut avec un pull noir. Il le porte avec un pantalon marron. Il porte également un collier et un bracelet sur son bras gauche.

Caractère: La voix, le corps et l'attitude de ce Do-S rebelle sont tous grands. Il fait souvent des saccages, mais il s'endort après s'être ennuyé. Yuma peut toujours être trouvé grignotant bruyamment ses cubes de sucre. Il est très sadique et brutal, et aussi très perverti et colérique. Enfant, il était très vivant et joyeux. Parfois trop rebelle à ses parents qui étaient des gens religieux alors que lui ne croyait pas en Dieu. Après l'incident et son amnésie, Yuma devait devenir encore plus dur s'il voulait survivre dans la rue avec les autres membres de son gang de rébellion. Il est devenu violent, brutal et dominant avec le temps. Yuma ne se gêne pas de consommer le corps complet de sa victime en même temps que le sang et cela a été suggéré comme la principale raison de sa force physique supérieure à la moyenne des vampires impurs.

Histoire: Enfant, Yuma a vécu dans un petit village avec ses parents. Ses parents étaient des villageois pauvres et travaillant, mais aussi très stricts et religieux qui traitaient Yuma plutôt durement (comme le battre pour avoir refusé de prier Dieu). Cependant, il les aimait toujours et savait qu'ils étaient de bonnes personnes. En réalité, il est l'ami d'enfance de Shuu, Edgar. Il a rencontré Shuu alors qu'il était encore humain dans une forêt en pleine nuit. Ils sont vite devenus les meilleurs amis et il a enseigné à Shuu comment chasser, faire pousser des pommes et passer une nuit sans feu. Shuu évitait de dire à Edgar qu'il était un vampire. Quand Reiji a découvert leur relation, il a détruit le village dans un incendie. Voulant sauver ses parents, malgré les protestations de son ami, il alla dans le feu et "mourut". Il aura cependant survécu avant de se réveiller avec ses blessures sans aucun souvenir de son passé. Il est ensuite devenu disciple d'un gang de rue et leva les yeux vers le chef, Lucks. Sous un nouveau nom, Bear, Yuma vit dans la rue avec les autres. Lucks fouillait et volait de la nourriture à donner à tous ses partisans. Il a également travaillé comme esclave, ou ce qu'il appelle "le bétail", afin d'obtenir de l'argent pour payer la nourriture aussi. Son rêve principal, dont héritera Bear, est d'avoir un monde où tout le monde est libre et égal, sans classes sociales ni lacunes. Il voulait dépouiller les politiciens corrompus et les aristocrates de leur statut afin de purifier ce monde de sa saleté. Cependant, une guerre se déroulait dans le temps et des soldats ont attaqué les rebelles, le groupe de Lucks. Ils ont tiré sur eux et Bear / Yuma s'évanouit avant de se réveiller à l'orphelinat. Il fera ensuite la connaissance de Ruki, Kou et Azusa avec qui il se lia d'amitié. Ruki, chef de la bande, décida d'un plan pour fuir l'orphelinat. Kou déclencha un incendie pour distraire les gardes. Ils ont réussis à s'échapper, mais ont été rattrapés par les autorités avant de se faire abattre et ramenés à l'orphelinat. Karlheinz est alors apparu et a offert à chacun d'entre eux, individuellement, de leur donner une seconde chance à la vie en tant que vampires qui le serviront. Tous sont d'accord. Plus tard, Karlheinz donne un nouveau nom à Bear. "Yuma" et lui présente le sucre.

     ❝DO YOU NOT HAVE a kitchen, Cu-san?❞ he asked, well aware that sometimes the kitchen sizes for some of the apartments was a bit…abysmal. The cost-of-living in Tokyo was high, after all, and sometimes things had to be sacrificed for the sake of merely having a place to live. Thankfully, Nanami made more than enough for a fairly decent place. Making his way back into the kitchen, he placed a bottle of sake down in the center of the table and two sake cups for them to use in case Cu was interested. ❝There. The finishing touches weren’t anything big. Just thought that the table would look better with this here.❞ Thank goodness he couldn’t hear thoughts because Cu’s would have made him feel a little embarrassed. Surely there was nothing at all special about what Nanami did. Presentation was just important to helping improve the overall taste of food, is all. Pulling out his own chair, he too took a seat, napkins soon neatly placed before both him and the other before he truly made himself comfortable.

     ❝Hm? High school…?❞ trailing off, he turned his focus over to the nearby photo. Ah, that photo. That was one of the last ones he had of his former classmates altogether. ❝Endearing…❞ he scoffed, lifting his chop sticks. ❝Looks can be deceiving.❞ All his friends had been, and some still were, for all intent and purpose, gremlins. Even so, he did admit that some of his best memories, as well as his worst, were at that school.

"Thanks for having me." Cú wasn't particularly good at hiding his curiosity, so his ruby-like gaze drifted from the host to the decoration of the apartment. The young man never pondered about how the living spaces of his friends looked but, if all he had seen in the living room was a sofa, a small table, and a ridiculously big TV with a PS5, he wouldn't have judged. Nanami's apartment looked pretty nice to him which, in hindsight, was quite surprising considering the man's fashion sense. So no animal print sofa or military green chairs? Cú briefly wondered until he caught a glimpse of Nanami's kitchen.

"Woah, you have everything here!" The dream kitchen! The need to rush to the kitchen, open the cupboards, and see all the gadgets Nanami had was strong... but Cú knew better than that and only did as he was told. "Finishing touches?" As in plating and making delicious food look even more delicious and Instagram-worthy? Damn, he needed to get some tips from Nanami.

Since there was nothing he could help with, Cú took a seat and... "High school days photo? It's cute. You all look very endearing in it." He recognized Yaga, Shoko, Gojo, who apparently has never aged, and Nanami, who looked like he was going through an emo phase. There was Kenjaku's vessel too and someone he has never met but looks like a really bright guy.
