It’s Day 270 of the Windy Wessagusset Wimple of 2024. The wind was out of the S at 7mph with gusts and 17mph at 12pm. The temperature was 65°, and felt like it was 60°. I used the Frosty Green color of Red Heart Super Saver yarn to show the wind was out of the S. I knit in garter stitch to show the wind was at 7mph. It was another grey, gloomy day in Wessagusset, with rain showers continuing on and off all day. I went out in a soaked deck to take photos when the rain had stopped, but while I was out there the rain started again. The wet pattern continues into tomorrow. I’m listening to the horrible reports out Florida due to hurricane Helene. My thoughts and prayers are with those in harm’s way. Be safe out there.

It’s Day 270 of the Great Hill Humidity and Dew Point Differential Scarf 2023. The humidity was 74%, the dew point was 55°, and the differential between the humidity and the dew point was 19 today. I am using the Petal Pink color of Red Heart Super Saver yarn. I am working my stitches in the “garter stitch”pattern to indicate the differential between the humidity and the dew point was 19 at 1pm. Today began sunny in Wessagusset, but by late this afternoon the clouds had rolled in and taken over the skies. It was cool again as well. It is supposed to shower tomorrow, and rain on Saturday. It was quiet on the water today. Other than the commuter boat and one other boat there were no others plying the waters. As we near the end of September, it looks like things are quieting down, but next week’s forecast is for 70’s with one day predicted at 78° so we’ll see if that brings out the boaters for another go. Be safe out there.

Drained

When zinnias die and go to seed they don’t shrivel up and decay. It looks as though the life drained out of them leaving a fragile husk behind. When I am recovering from an intense anxiety attack I feel the same way. Sometimes recovery from one attack can last days.

It is always draining for me to be in crowds (even with friends or family) and I feel out of place.

At my lowest I also often feel completely alone though I am rarely by myself.
