Junicorn prompt for day 1, "Jungle", finished a day late. I actually did draw a junglecorn yesterday, but I was in a real Grouchy About My Art-mood, so I decided to redo it with coloured pencils and love in my heart today 💕

Day 2, "scales". Happy worm-stealing Wednesday Sunday.

This is one of my favorite movies/books of all time (even though it makes me terribly sad) and I would love to write a full fic for this one day... but for now, here's a snippet below the cut!

Jon took the stairs up to his chamber with his small stack of finished poems. He’d not thought to write a poem a day in his life until the Lady Daenerys arrived at the castle. His heart had been sore since the day he laid his eyes on her, but no great feat nor knightly quest had caused her to return his affections. It was a relief, he told himself, to be resigned to the thought she never would. He would love and serve her from afar like a knight in a tale.  To start, he’d leave one of his poems beneath her chamber door.  He was puzzling over what name he might sign it with when she ran into his path.  She looked a fright, rushing down the stairs barefooted in a dress robe. Sorrow coursed through his veins at the sight of her. “Are you all right, my lady?”  Lady Daenerys drew back and held out a hand to keep him at a distance. “Who are you?”  Jon looked into her eyes and found them blank. “I’m Jon. Don’t you know me?”  “The old woman,” she said with a shudder. “She keeps them in cages and they see what she wants them to see. Poor beasts.”  “You are dreaming, my lady.” He’d been told the castle made some prone to nightmares. “You’re safe here with me.”  Whimpering, she lowered herself to sit on the stair, and he sat two steps below her. She looked so fragile, and yet he knew she had untold power; her empty hands and bare feet were more dangerous to him than any sword or arrow. Her hair glowed in the dim light like a flower. A moon flower.  He swallowed. “Tell me your dream that I might help you.”  “I dream the same every night and every day but it’s never finished. I’m always running. Running from a safe place, running from danger, running to find something,” she recounted, and the pitch of her voice grew as she went on. “But I don’t know what I’m searching for! And when I look down I have the legs of a beast!”  Jon hushed her gently. “I’m sorry. Perhaps it’s too upsetting to recount now.”  The lady nodded, and looked at the wall as though it was a window through which she could watch the sea below.  “I’m yours,” Jon confessed to his own surprise. “In whatever capacity you’ll have me.”  Daenerys offered another small smile. “I know.”  Emboldened, his heart sped to life. “What would you have me do? Win a tourney, scale a mountain, slay a monster, defeat an army? I am your servant. There’s been a nagging feeling in my chest since the day you arrived and it’s driving me mad to do nothing.” His face grew hot. “Gods, I talk more in your presence than I ever have.”  Her smile grew bigger. “Sing. Sing for me, and help chase this cold gloom from my heart. Sing until I no longer see the crashing waves nor hear the red bull.”  Were it anytime before the day Lady Daenerys arrived at this lonely castle, a request for a song would send him in the other direction. A request from her and he was singing Wolf in the Night without another thought.  No one had ever offered him praise for his singing voice, but no one had disparaged him either. He sang as his lady commanded with a clear voice to ward off her despair, and chase away her lingering dreams. “And the stars in the night were the eyes of his wolves, and the wind itself was their song.”  She laughed sweetly when he was done, one of the few times he’d heard the sound since they first met and the darkness in the tower drew back in defeat. “Thank you,” she said. “That was a comfort to me.”  He breathed a sigh of relief for having been useful. “I don’t know why I picked that song,” he offered, suddenly embarrassed. “I’ve learned it from my father’s men.”  When she smiled again, he cautiously rested his hand on the step just below her. “I would enter your sleep if I could, and guard you there,” he put forward, “but I cannot come in unless you dream of me.”  Lady Daenerys sighed. “Would that I had such control of my dreams – but then it might be you who needs guarding.”

Alright I'm not too sure on this unicorn but I like it for what it is but I feel like I could have done just a smidge better but I think it turned out fine.

I also tried to get the right lighting and to be on the safe side I took multiple photos.

@kyluxcryptidfest is again reminding me that I am too ambitious and tend to overestimate my abilities XD. Anyway this is for Day one promt: “I choose to believe” as a Last Unicorn AU (If you haven’t watched it it’s magical and free on youtube)

Galen PoV

“Galen?”

He startled, looking away from the wall he realized he’d been staring blankly at. Everyone had mixed expressions on their faces as he met their gaze one by one. His father, frowning, not meeting his gaze, eyes far away. His mother, teary eyed, squeezing his hand gently when he looked at her. The investigators weren’t looking any specific way, just… waiting.

“The choice is yours, Galen.” Ms. Lyle said, hands folded in front of her. “No one would blame you if you walked away now.”

I would.

It wasn’t an easy idea to swallow. Go back to the Asylum? He’d gotten out once, but there was no guarantee that he’d find his way out again. And the idea of trusting strangers with the task of freeing him was nerve wracking enough.

But… his mate was still in there. Not that he’d told anyone but his therapist that. And his old friends were trapped there with him. Should he really turn down the chance to give them freedom, too?

“You don’t have to answer right away. We don’t even need to know today. Take a few days or as long as you need to-”

“I’ll do it.”

You could hear a pin drop.

Galen’s heart was in his throat. He couldn’t believe he’d actually said it, but continued on, “I’ll return to the Asylum.”

I can't stand the tension! I miss Unicorn: Warriors Eternal so much! I just need to know if it's coming back or not! If it's getting another season (or three like Genndy hoped for), then that's freaking awesome! If it's getting Zaslav'd before it can ever address that cliffhanger, then that's the biggest disgrace to happen in this industry in about a month or two (maybe idk). But just let ne know already! It's been a year! I miss Mel/Em, Ed, and the others so much! SGGYJGDGHBFGRKKDDYHHH
