WIP Wednesday :) Lucien X DawnCourt!reader

He smiled, nodding towards a chair and he didn’t have to say it, I knew the offer was there. Get comfortable. I was grateful for the seat, for all of it really, the day was already drawn out and it was only part over. There would be the long night ahead and it wasn’t yet dark. Outside the birds flew toward a tree in the courtyard, resting on a sunbeam. The knife glinted on the table.

“Sorry if it’s not sharp. I tried my best but…”

He looked briefly toward the weapon, “The only consolation of not having it these years has been the thought you made good use of it. It saved your life it’s a little dull. Better than being lost because—“ 

He didn’t manage to say the last part but I knew what he meant. 

“You thought about it though…the blade.” 

“Not the knife,” He said clearing his throat, cutting into a large yellow onion. He blinked a few times. “I thought about you.” 

“Why?”

He shrugged, “A young healer in the woods alone who didn’t know who I was and then she disappears.”

“That’s all?”

His brows rose, “Uh, well no. I suppose not, no.”

“Did you ever think about coming back?” 

“No. I didn’t.” 

I nodded. Turning toward the window again.

✅—Which character/plot point/etc would be your favorite to see on screen?

I would love to see all of the different scifi and fantasy settings in my main WIP fully realized

The main cast of characters end up being transported to various locations with various themes varying from futuristic cyberpunk cities to D&D/Tolkien-esque fantasy lands; so I would love to see the juxtaposition between each of the settings.

At one point the main character gets isekai'd into the novel she's reading and my idea for the illustrations was for them all to be "typographical" art like so

but to translate the idea of that onscreen i think i'd like that episode

(wip is turning out to be more like an anthology of short stories about the characters and this world, than a set of novels)

Finished this book late Saturday night. Wow. What a whirlwind. A Court of Wings and Ruin picks up right where A Court of Mist and Fury leaves off. War is coming to Prythian and it’s up to Feyre and the Court of Dreams to rally the other courts to protect both the fae and human realms from total destruction. I loved getting to see the High Lords from all of the courts together. That was fascinating. I hope to see more of the other courts going forward especially the Day and Winter Courts! The final battle was nerve wracking and emotional. I’m excited to see where the story goes from here!
