Name: Lyra
Alias: The DawnBringer
Personality:
• Quiet and reserved, often lost in her thoughts.
• Carries an air of melancholy, but shows moments of fierce determination.
• Compassionate towards others, especially those who have suffered loss.
• Has a strong sense of justice and an unwavering resolve to protect the weak.
• Struggles with feelings of guilt and self-blame.
Background:
Lyra Thorne was born from the union of an ancient dragon and a noble woman. Her father, the dragon, was in truth none other then Gransax, while her mother was a respected lady of a noble house. Tragedy struck when her father was killed during the battle in Leyndell . Devastated and unable to bear the sight of Lyra, whom she viewed as a curse, her mother abandoned her in the depths of the forest.
Lyra was found by the Fae, mystical beings curious about the unusual child. Despite Lyra not being of their kind, the Fae took pity on her and raised her in their hidden village, concealed from the eyes of men. The Fae taught Lyra their ways, nurturing her unique abilities and providing her with a sense of belonging.
However, as Lyra grew older, she began to feel an intense loneliness. She was different from the Fae and yearned for companionship with someone like herself. This longing led Lyra to sneak out of the hidden village, hoping to find a friend.
During one of her excursions, Lyra met Rosetta, a girl from a nearby human village. The two bonded deeply, and Lyra felt a connection she had never experienced before. Unbeknownst to Lyra, Rosetta’s village was facing desperate times, struggling to survive the harsh winter. The village elders had learned of a hidden market that traded in dragon parts, which could provide enough resources for the village to endure the coming hardships.
When Rosetta discovered Lyra’s dragon heritage, she saw an opportunity to save her village. Feigning loyalty, Rosetta convinced Lyra to reveal the location of the hidden Fae village. One fateful night, the villagers launched a surprise attack, driven by desperation and greed.
The hidden Fae village, once a sanctuary of peace and magic, fell into chaos as the villagers, driven by desperation and greed, breached its mystical barriers. The tranquil haven turned into a battlefield, with the delicate Fae being mercilessly hunted down. The air was thick with screams and the clash of steel, the sacred groves stained with blood.
Lyra stood frozen, watching in horror as the Fae, her caretakers and family, were slaughtered. The beauty of their enchanted home was marred by violence and death. The Fae, swift and agile, tried to flee, but their efforts were in vain against the relentless assault.
“Lyra, we must go!” one of the elder Fae urged, grabbing her arm. The remaining Fae were determined to save Lyra, their precious child of prophecy, but the villagers pressed on, unstoppable in their greed.
As they neared the edge of the forest, Lyra’s heart stopped at the sight of Rosetta. Her friend, the one she trusted most, stood there, sword in hand. The betrayal was etched on Rosetta’s face, mixed with regret and sorrow.
“Rosetta… why?” Lyra’s voice was barely a whisper, choked with emotion.
Rosetta’s eyes were filled with tears. “Lyra, our friendship was real, but my people needed me. We need you so we can survive… I’m so sorry.”
The words pierced Lyra’s heart like a dagger. The world around her blurred as the weight of the betrayal crushed her spirit. Pain surged through her, an overwhelming agony that threatened to consume her. She clutched her head, her scream of anguish echoing through the forest.
In that moment of utter despair, Lyra’s dragon heritage awakened. Her body twisted and transformed, scales of shimmering silver and auburn replacing her skin. With a roar that shook the heavens, she unleashed a powerful blast of dragonfire. The force of it turned the pouring rain to ash, obliterating everything in its path. The villagers, the Fae, and even the trees were incinerated, leaving nothing but scorched earth and silence.
When the inferno subsided, Lyra collapsed to the ground, reverting to her human form. Her eyes, once full of life and wonder, now reflected nothing but despair. The village, her family, her friend—all were gone, consumed by the tragedy.
She lay there, the ashes of the rain mingling with her tears, holding onto the last words the Fae had whispered to her before the attack. “Never lose sight of yourself, Lyra. No matter the pain, no matter the loss.”
For two harrowing days, Lyra worked tirelessly amidst the wreckage of the Fae village. The silence was heavy, only broken by the sounds of her labor as she dug graves for the fallen. Despite there being no bodies to place, each grave was a testament to her sorrow and respect for the lives lost, both Fae and human. Despite the overwhelming pain, she ensured every soul received a proper burial, honoring their memory in the only way she could.
On the second day, as she cleared the debris near the village’s heart, Lyra stumbled upon an emblem. It was Rosetta’s—a delicate, silver charm shaped like a blooming rose, given to Lyra as a token of their friendship. Holding it in her trembling hands, memories of happier times flooded her mind. Rosetta’s laughter, their shared secrets, and dreams—all now tainted by betrayal.
Lyra clutched the emblem tightly, feeling the cold metal against her palm. Tears streamed down her face, but she held her resolve. She whispered a silent farewell to the village and to the life she once knew. Embarking on her adventure within The Lands Between.
With the last grave filled and marked, Lyra stood at the edge of the devastated village, taking one final look. The place that had been her sanctuary, her home, was now a graveyard of memories. The air still smelled of ash, and the once vibrant colors of the Fae village were now dull and lifeless.
★・・・・・・★・・・・・・★
Abilities:
1. Restoration Touch: A basic healing spell that allows Lyra to mend minor wounds and alleviate pain with a touch.
2. Healing Aura: Creates an aura of healing energy around Lyra.
3. Nature’s Embrace: Calls upon the natural magic of the Fae to cure poisons cleansing her ally.
4.Soothing Tranquility: Lyra channels her innate compassion and magical prowess to absorb the physical pain and injuries of another, transferring the suffering into herself for a brief period. This ability allows her to temporarily relieve others of their pain, giving them a moment of respite
Dragon Abilities:
1. Dragonfire Nova:
• Instead of the typical red or orange flames, Lyra’s dragon flames could burn with a mesmerizing hue of shimmering silver and light blue, reminiscent of her dragon scales and light blue hair. Lyra unleashes a devastating blast of draconic flames, akin to a dragon’s roar made manifest. This ability allows her to summon a colossal surge of magical energy, unleashing it in a focused beam or explosive wave that devastates everything in its path.
2. Fae’s Embrace:
• Calling upon her affinity with the Fae, Lyra creates a protective barrier of shimmering light that surrounds her nearby allies. The barrier absorbs incoming damage temporary.
3. Dragon’s Wrath Barrage:
• Lyra unleashes a barrage of lighting elemental projectiles imbued with draconic fury. Thunderbolts runs down on enemies in a wide area, inflicting status effect.
4. Ethereal Flight:
• Lyra ascends into the air with ethereal dragon wings, gaining temporary flight capabilities. From above, she rains down projectiles from her dragon scales or performs aerial dives, striking enemies with precision and agility.
5. Draconic Blessing:
Lyra taps into her wield flames and imbues it with healing energies, allowing her to restore vitality to those she deems as not enemies. This ability transforms her usual destructive flames into a gentle and nurturing force.
Characteristics:
• Warmth and Light: The healing flames radiate with a soothing warmth and emit a soft, healing light, contrasting with the intense heat of her combat flames.
• Healing Effect: When directed towards a wounded ally or non-hostile individual, the flames promote accelerated healing, closing wounds, reducing pain, and restoring vitality.
Extra:
1. Foodie Adventurer: Lyra is a self-proclaimed foodie, always on the lookout for new and exotic dishes to try during her travels. She enthusiastically samples local delicacies and is unafraid to experiment with unusual ingredients, much to the surprise (and sometimes amusement) of her companions.
2. Snack Hoarder: Lyra always keeps a stash of snacks in her pockets or hidden compartments of her bag or armor, much to the amusement of her companions. Whether it’s dried fruits, nuts, etc
3. Gourmet Camping: Even during rough camping trips, Lyra manages to whip up gourmet meals using foraged ingredients and her trusty portable cooking equipment. Her campfire creations rival those of fancy taverns, earning her a reputation as the culinary master of the adventuring party.
4. Mirror Aversion: Lyra despises mirrors as they remind her of her younger self who felt powerless to protect her loved ones. The reflection brings back painful memories of the night her village was attacked. As a result, she often avoids mirrors, covers them up, or, in moments of intense emotional distress, may even shatter them in anger and sorrow.
5. Music and Lute Playing: Lyra has a talent for playing the lute and often composes soft, melodies that reflect her inner emotions. Playing music allows her to express her feelings in a way words cannot, and her those who listen find her music both beautiful and deeply moving.

Lyra: Pop Culture Superstar
Hello. Hi. Greetings!
Long time no post. We've been active over on Mastodon, so if you're inclined to visit us there, here's a link:
Or, I'll try to get better at popping over to say hi here!
Why I am suddenly back? Well, our most recent podcast episode on Lyra in Pop Culture seems to be cursed. We've recorded it twice and had fatal errors. Twice.
So, this week we'll do something a little different. I made a visual post of our Lyra: Pop Culture Superstar and recorded a shorter solo companion pod for the post.
Here's your audio guide:

Has it ever been considered to reword ability granting lords to say "CARDNAME and other creatures get..." instead of the current system of saying its effect twice? So say Lyra Dawnbringer would say "Lyra Dawnbringer and other angels have lifelink"
I don’t think that has been considered.

“Wow!” Tiana marveled at the Serran spires around her. “How long have you all been working on these?”
Walking alongside her, Lyra Dawnbringer gave a proud nod and answered, “Since long before you were formed, child. The magic alone took nearly a hundred years.”
“I’ll bet. And I can only imagine how long it took to make whatever system allows non-angels up here!”
Lyra’s smile faltered upon hearing Tiana’s claim. “Well, calling it a ‘system’ may be generous.”
“Wait, then why are there so many people around, that aren’t angels?” Tiana pointed to a group of viashino walking nearby for emphasis.
“The only way to reach the platforms from the ground is by climbing the tallest peak in the region. Everyone is welcome in our cities, though few but the most faithful attempt the ascent.”
“The most faithful, and maybe some veteran mountaineers, too,” Tiana muttered quietly, looking over her shoulder at a goblin decked out with climbing equipment. “But still, you don’t even have a lift or anything?”
“That would rather counteract the point of a ‘floating city,’ don’t you think?”
Tiana’s wings flared out to her sides in disbelief. “Maybe, but…so? Please, Lady Dawnbringer, I’ve learned a thing or two during my time fixing up the Weatherlight. I could at least build you a lift or two, maybe using some-”
“I hardly think running routine maintenance makes you qualified for an undertaking of this magnitude, child. Such a project would be of a much larger scale than your…skyship.”
“Why are you worried about the ‘scale’ of it? You don’t have anything yet.”
“It’s a valid concern…and a purely theoretical one.” Lyra’s tone signaled an end to the conversation. The archangel turned and walked away curtly, leaving Tiana to look down over a nearby railing at the mountain Lyra had mentioned.
“You could at least let me…make a trail up some of those steeper parts…” Tiana muttered under her breath.
[Also, it doesn’t look like there’s any bridges or anything between the buildings. So even if you did climb all the way to the peak, you could probably only go to like, maybe one or two places.]

Fun fact: Baneslayer Angels still see competitive play in Pioneer (and it's little sibling Explorer)! It's one of the Win Cons of the Azorius Control deck.
Cornwall’s Random Card of the Day #379: Baneslayer Angel
Baneslayer Angel is a mythic rare from Magic 2010.
So, power creep. Once upon a time, Serra Angel was the best creature in the game, for {3}{W}{W}, you got flying, AND vigilance. Well, in 2010, this guy came up and smashed that to pieces. People were moaning all over about how fucking broke this card was. It got some serious play. It was a beast. Nowadays, I think on its latest printing it didn’t really see any serious play at all. Even a real battletank like this dies to Doom Blade, and leaves you significantly in the hole, tempo-wise. So, 2009 me, don’t worry about how power creep is going, cause the power-crept cards will soon be obseleted….by even more power-crept cards.

The Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards You Need in Your Deck Now!
Introduction to Angel Cards in Magic: The Gathering
Hey there fellow Planeswalkers! If you're anything like me, you've got a soft spot for Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards. These celestial beings have been a part of the game since its inception, and they've only grown more powerful and intriguing over time. Let's dive into the world of MTG angels and see what makes them so special. Key Takeaways: Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards - Angel cards are powerful, high-cost creatures in Magic: The Gathering, most commonly found in white. - Building an angel-themed deck involves careful selection of angel cards and other synergistic cards. - Maximizing the value of your angel cards, protecting them on the battlefield, and timing your plays effectively are key strategies. - You can acquire angel cards in MTGA by opening booster packs, drafting, or using wildcards and crafting. - A well-constructed sideboard can enhance your angel deck's performance and versatility. Brief History of Magic: The Gathering Magic: The Gathering, or MTG as we fans fondly call it, has been around since 1993. It's the brainchild of mathematics professor Richard Garfield and was the first game of its kind. I remember the thrill of opening my first pack of cards, not knowing what I might find inside. Over the years, the game has grown and evolved, with new sets and mechanics introduced regularly, keeping us players on our toes. But one thing has remained constant - the allure of the angel cards. What are Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards? Angel cards in MTG are creature cards, typically white, that represent powerful, winged beings from the multiverse's various planes. They're known for their potent abilities and high mana costs, reflecting their divine nature. Some of the most iconic angel cards include the likes of Serra Angel MTG and Platinum Angel MTG, which have left their mark on the game. The Significance of Angel Cards in MTG Angel cards hold a special place in the hearts of many MTG players, myself included. They're not just powerful creatures on the battlefield; they're also rich in lore and beautifully illustrated. They often serve as the face of white mana, embodying themes of protection, righteousness, and order. For instance, the Platinum Angel MTG card has an ability that prevents its controller from losing the game. How cool is that? It's like having your own guardian angel right there on the battlefield. And then there's the Serra Angel MTG, a classic card that's been with us since the very beginning. It's a perfect example of what angel cards are all about - power, grace, and a touch of divine intervention. So, whether you're building an MTG angel deck or just have a few angel cards in your collection, you're part of a long-standing tradition in the game. And trust me, there's nothing quite like the feeling of calling upon these celestial beings to turn the tide of a match. Stay tuned as we delve deeper into the world of Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards.
Must-Have Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards for Your Deck
Alright, let's get down to business. If you're looking to build an angel-themed deck or just want to add some celestial firepower to your existing deck, there are a few Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards that you absolutely must consider. Let's take a closer look at three of my personal favorites: Lyra Dawnbringer, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and Baneslayer Angel. "Lyra Dawnbringer": Power, Abilities, and Strategy First up, we have Lyra Dawnbringer. This card is a powerhouse, and I've had the pleasure of using it to turn the tide in many games. Lyra is a 5/5 flying, first strike, lifelink angel that gives other angels you control +1/+1 and lifelink. Talk about a team player! When Lyra is on the battlefield, she not only strengthens your other angels but also keeps your life total healthy with her lifelink ability. She's a great card to have in your MTG angel deck, especially if you're up against aggressive decks that can whittle down your life total quickly. "Avacyn, Angel of Hope": Power, Abilities, and Strategy Next, we have Avacyn, Angel of Hope, a card that truly lives up to its name. Avacyn is an 8/8 flying angel with vigilance and an ability that makes all other permanents you control indestructible. Now that's what I call a guardian angel! Avacyn's high mana cost might seem daunting, but trust me, she's worth every mana. Once she's on the battlefield, your opponent will have a tough time dealing with your other creatures and permanents. I've seen many opponents' faces fall when I summon Avacyn. It's a sight to behold! "Baneslayer Angel": Power, Abilities, and Strategy Last but certainly not least, we have Baneslayer Angel. This card is a classic and has been a staple in many of my decks over the years. Baneslayer Angel is a 5/5 flying, first strike, lifelink angel that also has protection from demons and dragons. Baneslayer Angel is a versatile card that can fit into almost any deck. Its protection ability can be a game-changer against decks that rely on demons and dragons. Plus, its lifelink ability can help you stay in the game longer. So there you have it, folks. These are just a few of the many amazing Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards out there. Each one brings something unique to the table, and I can't wait to see how you use them in your decks.
Building an Angel-Themed Deck
Building an MTG angel deck is a labor of love. It's about more than just choosing powerful cards; it's about creating a deck that embodies the spirit of these celestial beings. Let's explore some key considerations when building an angel-themed deck. Selecting the Right Colors for Your Angel Deck When it comes to building an angel-themed deck, color choice is crucial. Most angel cards are white, reflecting their divine nature and alignment with order and righteousness. However, you can find angel cards in other colors too, offering a range of abilities and synergies. Here's a pie chart showing the typical color distribution in an angel-themed deck: As you can see, white is the dominant color, but there's room for other colors too. It's all about finding the right balance and synergy for your deck. Synergistic Cards for Your Angel Deck In addition to your angel cards, you'll want to include other cards that synergize well with them. These could be spells that protect your angels, cards that benefit from having high-cost creatures, or cards that can help you ramp up your mana to cast your angels sooner. For instance, cards like "Herald's Horn" and "Urza's Incubator" can make your angels cheaper to cast. On the other hand, "Seraph Sanctuary" can give you life each time an angel enters the battlefield under your control. Mana Curve and Deck Balance Finally, it's important to consider your deck's mana curve and balance. Angel cards tend to be high-cost, so you'll need to balance them with lower-cost cards to ensure you can defend yourself in the early game. Remember, a well-balanced deck isn't just about having powerful cards; it's about being able to respond to a variety of situations. So, while it's tempting to fill your deck with all the angel cards you can find, make sure to include a mix of low, medium, and high-cost cards. Building an MTG angel deck can be a rewarding experience, especially when you see your angels soaring over the battlefield. So take your time, experiment with different cards, and most importantly, have fun! After all, that's what Magic: The Gathering is all about.
Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards for Different Archetypes
One of the things I love about Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards is their versatility. Whether you're playing an aggro, control, or combo deck, there's likely an angel card that fits your strategy. Let's take a look at how angel cards can enhance different deck archetypes. Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards for Aggro Decks Aggro decks aim to win the game quickly by dealing damage to the opponent as fast as possible. In this case, you'll want angel cards that can hit the ground running. Cards like "Aurelia, the Warleader" and "Gisela, Blade of Goldnight" can be great additions to an aggro deck. They have powerful attack abilities and can deal a lot of damage quickly. Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards for Control Decks Control decks aim to control the pace of the game, neutralizing the opponent's threats while setting up their own win conditions. Here, angel cards like "Iona, Shield of Emeria" and "Linvala, Keeper of Silence" can shine. These angels have abilities that can disrupt your opponent's plans and give you the upper hand. Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards for Combo Decks Combo decks aim to win the game through a combination of cards that have powerful synergies. In a combo deck, you might find angel cards like "Resplendent Angel" and "Bishop of Wings". These cards work together to create an army of angel tokens, potentially overwhelming your opponent. Here's a simple table to illustrate the best angel cards for each archetype: Deck ArchetypeRecommended Angel CardsAggroAurelia, the Warleader; Gisela, Blade of GoldnightControlIona, Shield of Emeria; Linvala, Keeper of SilenceComboResplendent Angel; Bishop of Wings Remember, the best Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards for your deck will depend on your overall strategy and the specific cards you have in your collection. So don't be afraid to experiment and find the perfect celestial allies for your deck.
Strategies and Tips for Playing Angel Cards
Now that we've talked about building an MTG angel deck and the best angel cards for different archetypes, let's discuss some strategies and tips for playing these celestial beings. After all, having powerful cards is one thing, but knowing how to use them effectively is what truly makes a difference. Maximizing the Value of Your Angel Cards Angel cards are typically high-cost, which means you'll want to get the most value out of them when they hit the battlefield. One way to do this is by protecting your angels from your opponent's removal spells. Cards like "Mother of Runes" and "Selfless Spirit" can help keep your angels safe. Another way to maximize the value of your angel cards is by taking advantage of their abilities. For instance, if you have "Lyra Dawnbringer" on the battlefield, try to play other angels to benefit from her +1/+1 and lifelink boost. Protecting Your Angels on the Battlefield As I mentioned earlier, angel cards often become prime targets for your opponent's removal spells. Therefore, it's important to have strategies in place to protect your angels. This could involve playing cards that grant your creatures hexproof or indestructible, or using counter spells to thwart your opponent's attempts to remove your angels. Timing Your Angelic Interventions Finally, timing is everything when it comes to playing your angel cards. Because of their high mana cost, you'll often be playing your angels in the mid to late game. Therefore, it's important to have a game plan for the early game to ensure you can survive until your angels can enter the battlefield. For instance, you might include lower-cost creatures in your deck to block your opponent's attacks, or use removal spells to keep your opponent's side of the battlefield in check. Then, when the time is right, you can summon your angels and turn the tide of the game. Playing Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards can be a lot of fun, especially when you see your strategies come to fruition. So take these tips to heart, and may your angels lead you to victory!
Acquiring Angel Cards in Magic: The Gathering Arena
So, you're ready to start building your MTG angel deck in Magic: The Gathering Arena (MTGA). But how do you go about acquiring the angel cards you need? Let's explore some of the ways you can add these celestial beings to your collection in MTGA. Booster Packs and Drafting One of the most straightforward ways to acquire new cards in MTGA is by opening booster packs. These packs contain a random selection of cards from a specific set, and if you're lucky, you might just find an angel card among them. Another way to acquire angel cards is through drafting. In a draft, you'll pick one card at a time from a rotating pool of cards, with the goal of building a deck on the spot. This can be a fun and challenging way to acquire new cards, including angels. Trading and Purchasing Angel Cards Unfortunately, MTGA does not currently support trading between players. However, you can purchase individual cards from the in-game store using gems or coins. This can be a quick way to acquire specific angel cards for your deck, although it can also be quite costly. Wildcards and Crafting Angel Cards Finally, one of the unique features of MTGA is the wildcard system. As you open booster packs, you'll occasionally receive wildcards, which can be exchanged for any card of the same rarity. This means that if you receive a mythic rare wildcard, you could exchange it for any mythic rare card of your choice, such as "Lyra Dawnbringer" or "Avacyn, Angel of Hope. Crafting is another way to acquire specific angel cards. By spending wildcards, you can craft the exact cards you need for your deck. This can be a great way to fill in any gaps in your collection and ensure you have the right angels for your strategy. Acquiring Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards in MTGA can be a journey in itself, but it's all part of the fun. So whether you're opening booster packs, drafting, or crafting your cards, enjoy the process and look forward to the moment when you can summon your angels to the battlefield.
Enhancing Your Angel Deck with Sideboard Options
Building a great MTG angel deck doesn't stop at the main deck. A well-constructed sideboard can give you the flexibility to adapt to a variety of matchups. Let's take a look at how you can enhance your angel deck with some strategic sideboard options. Sideboard Cards for Specific Matchups Your sideboard should include cards that can help you in specific matchups. For instance, if you're facing a lot of decks with black or red removal spells, you might want to include cards like "Selfless Spirit" or "Dauntless Escort" in your sideboard. These cards can protect your angels from destruction, ensuring they stay on the battlefield where they belong. On the other hand, if you're up against control decks that delay your game plan with counterspells and board wipes, consider sideboarding in cards like "Cavern of Souls" or "Prowling Serpopard. These cards can make your creatures uncounterable, allowing you to play your angels without fear of interruption. Adapting Your Deck to the Metagame The metagame – the collective strategies and deck types that are popular at any given time – can shift rapidly in MTG. Therefore, it's important to keep your sideboard updated to reflect the current metagame. For example, if graveyard-based strategies are popular, you might want to include cards like "Rest in Peace" or "Scavenger Grounds" in your sideboard. These cards can disrupt your opponent's graveyard, hindering their strategy and giving you an edge in the game. Building a sideboard for your MTG angel deck requires careful thought and a good understanding of the game's current state. But when done right, it can greatly enhance your deck's performance and versatility. So don't overlook this important aspect of deck building, and may your angels guide you to victory!
Showcasing Angel Card Combos and Synergies
One of the most exciting aspects of playing Magic: The Gathering Angel Cards is discovering powerful combos and synergies. When you find the right combination of cards, you can create some truly awe-inspiring plays. Let's explore some of my favorite angel card combos and synergies. Combining Angel Cards for Maximum Impact There are many angel cards that work well together, creating powerful effects that can swing the game in your favor. For example, "Resplendent Angel" and "Lyra Dawnbringer" make a fantastic pair. When you have both on the battlefield, Resplendent Angel's ability can trigger at the end of each turn, creating a 4/4 angel token with flying and vigilance. This is because Lyra Dawnbringer gives Resplendent Angel +1/+1 and lifelink, allowing it to gain 5 life each time it attacks, which triggers its ability. Another great combo involves "Bishop of Wings" and "Divine Visitation". When an angel dies, Bishop of Wings creates a 1/1 white Spirit creature token with flying. But if you have Divine Visitation on the battlefield, that token will be a 4/4 angel token with flying and vigilance instead. Talk about a heavenly upgrade! Synergistic Cards to Enhance Your Angel Strategy In addition to combining angel cards, you can also include other cards in your deck that synergize well with your angel strategy.
