Holy shit, the new wilds trailer. La La Barina and Rey Dau ... I might have some new favorites. This game is going to be amazing.

Rey Dau seems to not be a seregios relative like I thought but a rath and espinas relative! It’s got the rath nose, mobile head horns, and mandibular spikes. It seems to have lost some wing fingers/pseudofingers but hey, Bazel.

hmm well i guess technically a decommed violet wouldn’t have gotten relocated to Sector V’s city, so realistically she’s probably just in Maine somewhere lol. butttt that’s not very fun, so for the sake of whimsy let’s say she’s at McClintock with the rest of the Ninjas. she’s probably been recruited but views it more as a social club than a serious campaign. she doesn’t really care about kids in general, but she wants to be a cheerleader, and all of them are Ninjas, so what choice does she really have?

she’s close with stacey, but in that toxic high school best friend way where they spend all their time together but also kind of hate each other lowkey. she’s probably genuinely good friends with cree, though, even if she think she’s a little maniacal at times. she’s chill with maurice and very good friends with the twins. she’s not quite sure how she feels about stacey’s boyfriend, though— there’s something a little off about him, but she can’t quite put her finger on it….

Thoughts on Arkveld? It just looks like a moldy Gore Magala to me and the name is really weird. 5.8/10 for me

I really like the name! Sounds very cool to me.

For the design itself I don't really like how it looks in the face? It's a tad too flat for me. Other than that it's alright the grey is nice. However,

CHAIN WINGS!!! FROM FRONTIER?!?!?!? THAT'S VERY AWESOME!!! I'm happy they're taking ideas and monsters from Frontier now. There's a lot of cool concepts in there that I wish was more available to the general worldwide fanbase (I need to play Frontier...).

Also this apparent splash screen for the game on xbox (taken from a tweet, not my pic) shows there being ACTUAL chains on the monster. And considering the game's story is meant to be focusing on themes around nature, the hunter's role in nature, and seems to be going into more detail on ancient civilisation stuff...it has me VERY interested in what Arkveld's role in the story will be. Especially since they're going CRAZILY story heavy this time around (we have CHAPTERS!!!)

Tldr: Not too fussed about the design itself but I DO like it from a story/gameplay perspective. The name sounds cool too

On the topic of hearing related stuff I was reminded that I keep getting these youtube short videos featuring varying family's with kids with hearing loss (I have. Some feelings about this in general)

But a thing I find so baffling is how big a deal these things make out about "taking hearing breaks". Like uhhh? It's not? A big thing? Like yea. Taking hearing aids out at home is Just A Thing. Why would I leave them in if I don't need to activly listen to something. I take them out in public when things are Too Loud because why wouldn't I???? I don't get it

Do people geniuenly think the hearing aids are in 24/7
