Datura is a genus of nine species of poisonous flowering plants belonging to the family Solanaceae. Datura is known as powerful and dangerous deliriants, used for shamanic and medical purposes, as well as poisons. They contain the potent anticholinergic substances scopolamine, hyoscyamine, and atropine primarily in their seeds and flowers. The reported effects post-ingestion have been commonly reported as states of psychotic delirium, longterm amnesia—and oftentimes results in fatality.

The non-hardy/tender shrub Brugmansia suaveolens (angel's trumpet, datura) has trumpet-shaped flowers in summer and autumn. These flowers have a wonderful night-scent.

i saw a video on TikTok of a datura growing in a pit of coal.

immediately, it reminded me of Satoru.

a datura, also known as a moonflower or night-blooming flower.

alone. beautiful. dangerous.

a light in the dark, casting its glow even where nothing else could survive.

coal—raw, dark, heavy—transforms into a diamond under pressure.

it’s untouchable. as is he.

Gojo Satoru, like this flower, thrives in the harshest of environments, beautiful and lethal in equal measure. he’s a force of nature, standing out in a world built on conflict and darkness, yet unyielding, untouchable. both the flower and the man—a reminder that power and beauty often come at the cost of danger, isolation, and a presence that can’t be ignored.
